Studio City, California I have learned about this store when I went to Panera to grab a drink. It is definitely a step up from the one across the street where I usually go. The store is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate. I like that they have self-checkout kiosks and that the products aren't locked up - it makes shopping so much more convenient. And there's plenty of parking, which is always a bonus in Studio City. read more

I decided to use them here at a Studio City branch because i was trying to stock up on some post cards again. Service: 5/5~Cashier was fast and efficient at barely any line. This CVS store is better in every way than the one across the street! I would rather go to this CVS than the one across the street. Even though sometimes when I need and have to get medication from the pharmacy that is across the street, then I have to go to the one... 12100 Ventura blvd. because that is where my actual pharmacy is! I mean we all need to take medication when we get sick right?? Now, let's get back to this particular CVS. This store is always in a good condition. Items are fully stocked, labels are facing us, prices are affordable and if and when you are lucky, they do have great sale items and discounted prices on certain products. They have better and larger selection of items in their refrigerated areas than the other CVS. does. Same goes for their goods and services (products) Not that I am comparing with the other CVS, but at the same time I am. This review is ONLY for the store!! Not the pharmacy. Customer service can be hit or miss, depending who is working the day and the night shift. But, when I do have to go and look for someone, they are always very helpful and somewhat friendly. I wish that at least ONE employee can be present at the register. Store is clean, their beautification isle is full of make up. concealers, foundation, and not enough perfume. Maybe I can spare some of my perfumes with them? Sharing is caring. I have needed to use their bathroom several times, and they refuse to open the door for me. Thank God I didn't have an accident and the rest you know. When mother nature is calling, then you got to go. CVS stores locally and nationwide has always been my go to for any of my needs. I have been coming to this CVS for a long time, and unfortunately I've consistently had negative experiences when Maribel is working at checkout. Each time she has helped me, she's been dismissive, unfriendly, and gives the impression that she does not want to be there. Customer service is a key part of this job, and it's disappointing to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome during a simple checkout. I genuinely avoid going to the register when I see her because the energy and attitude are consistently unpleasant. I hope management can address this and provide additional customer service training so guests can have the positive experience they should expect from CVS. read more

I stopped by this CVS store this morning because I wanted to get a soda to drink. I parked at the parking lot behind this CVS because it's in a big plaza with a lot of parking spots. I walked into this CVS from Ventura since I was walking around the area. The soda fridge is right there near that entrance so I was able to find what I was looking for. They had a deal if you buy 2 soda bottles so that's what I did. I also saw they have a decent amount of energy drink and carry the ZOA Energy drink I prefer. The store is a decent size and looks like it's organized well. read more

I like CVS in general. They got to be a national chain by doing things right. They have an amazing selection of all the things you expect to find in a Southern California drug store. Their pharmacy department is well staffed and the staff is very knowledgeable if you have questions or need information. Check out is easy and before you know it, you're on your way to your next errand. They aren't perfect (their cash register receipts are too, too long) but if you need what a drug stores carry, you'll do okay by going here. read more

The worst pharmacy anywhere unless you like uncaring and no customer service. I called this location to see if they took expired drugs and a woman who answered said yes even though they do not have a box the pharmacy takes them. I drive to this CVS. They do not take any expired drugs but acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. So rude and disrespectful. They said to walk across the street to the CVS south of Ventura. So I walk there and of course their expired drugs box is filled and has been locked for many days so they tell me to go to Walgreens. How lazy and insane. CVS can't have an expired drugs box at every CVS . So sadly if I could get my prescriptions from Walgreens I would, but CVS will soon have a monopoly for their pharmacy while Rite Aid and Walgreens will be gone. CVS is a mess . Maybe someone who wants to be polite and someone with knowledge of customer service training would have said, "please wait a second and let me call the CVS for you to see if their box is open. No, they have no business dealing with customers. They could care less. What if I was physically disabled and couldn't walk across the street, they have no interest in being helpful just like to tell you go somewhere else, maybe everyone should go somewhere else. read more

Everyone was short. The cashier told me I couldn't have my prescription for a few more days. She says it was too soon. It was a brand new prescription! I went over to the pharmacist who curtly told me she would put the order in and have it in 15 minutes. I tried to ask why the cashier said I had to wait days but the pharmacist brushed me off. Maybe, but sometimes if the other one doesn't have certain items, vitamins, I stop by this one, and guess what, they do have it! So, the stock might differ a bit in the good way. Ok, 2023 let's kick things off with a somewhat random first review of the year. CVS! I walk or run by this drugstore daily, sometimes more than once as it's on one of my neighborhood routes. I don't always stop in but I do a couple of times a week. I'm mainly utilizing their blood pressure machine. Should probably just buy myself one. I like to keep a good tab on my vitals since I'm fairly active and let's face it the number on a scale doesn't exactly dictate ones health. I swing by to take a free reading in their machine by the pharmacy. I also often pick up little odds and ends I may need, and always use my Moms phone number and email the receipt vs a paper receipt. I get my kicks on giving her a little sliver of info into my week. So she can see if I picked up my multi vitamins, burn bandages, a finger brace, greeting cards, wrapping paper, gift bags, travel toiletries, disposable cameras and whatever other random little things I may need from week to week. It goes completely unspoken of but I know she must know it's me due to the location and transactions I make. Service is always helpful and my blood pressure always seems to be in check, regardless of if I take it before or after picking up my latte or matcha from around the corner. I will note, I have never filled Rx's here and I don't get my vaccines here. I do not utilize that aspect but if you need other simple little local drugstore goods chances are this CVS has them - if not, there is another CVS directly across the street on the other corner of Laurel and Ventura. I don't ever really go in that one. read more

A MUST DO! This CVS in Studio City has a great selection of Classic Movie Toys for the Christmas Holiday Season. When you walk into the store you are greeted by la large blow up of a Gingerbread Man & Marshmallows in a Cup of Hot Chocolate. The other entrance has a Giant Gingerbread House with Snow on the Roof & Candy Canes out in front. It's a Christmas Archway you walk through. They have some great Classics Toys in the Seasonal Department including some Peanuts toys. They have Linus playing the piano complete with music & his pal Snoopy looking out on top. They have a Pull String Talking Clark Griswold Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation Doll. He says multiple classic funny lines from the movie. There's also a Pull String Talking Will Ferrell Elf Doll. He also recites multiple classic funny lines from the movie. Pretty Cool Stuff! I bought a bunch of Christmas Character Toys in here! These items are available at select CVS stores, This CVS has a large Free parking lot located behind the store. It shares the lot with Vons supermarket & other stores. There are a lot of great restaurants & stores in this surrounding area on Ventura Blvd & Laurel Canyon, so you can do 1 Stop Shopping. Easy Breezy. CVS Studio City Volume 2... Just as nice as the CVS literally across the street, but with a slightly smaller scaled layout. The customer service is pleasant and they stay pretty clean. The parking situation isn't too bad either though in a very much more shared parking lot with several neighboring businesses. I mainly stop in for small items or lotto needs as they are conviently located near the Ventura Blvd side entrance and makes for an easy in and out if purchasing a scratcher or a Mega (so high right now)! read more

I have been coming to this CVS for 8+ years. It was always a safe, reliable, convenient and reasonably friendly place to pick up prescriptions. However, things have changed for the MUCH worse over the last year or so, and I have just moved all my prescriptions to a nearby Walgreens. Done with CVS, particularly at this location. Issues: 1. Their pharmacy hours are not particularly convenient any longer. They close for lunches because they apparently can't figure out their scheduling to stagger lunches between the clerks. They also close relatively early in the evening, and I can no longer make it there after work before they shut down. 2. Their clerks are AWFUL. I mean, REALLY awful. The pharmacists and technicians are ok, so I'm just talking about the clerks that fetch your prescriptions and check you out. For instance, just today I was standing in line at 1:29pm to pick up a prescription. I had been standing there for 3-4 minutes waiting for the customer in front of me to finish. No one let me know that they would be closing for lunch when I got into line. But, after the customer in front of me finished, the clerk just said "Sir, come back after 2pm. We are closed for lunch now." She then shut the blinds on the counter. Uh, you should have told me that when I first got into line so I didn't waste time standing there only to have you shut the counter because you wanted to go to lunch instead of spending the 60 seconds to get my prescription and check me out. I'm done with that type of attitude. 3. They are always out of stock of the same recurring prescription EVERY month. You would think their system would let them to reorder for an upcoming pickup, but apparently not. 4. They don't make it easy to schedule all prescriptions for pick up at the same time. I understand that some prescriptions were called in "off schedule", but, over time, work to get them all done together so you don't have to make multiple trips to CVS over the course of the same week. Walgreens is much better at this in my experience. So, off I go to Walgreens. The clerk today but the final nail in the coffin. read more

Don't bother. It's impossible to find anything of any actual significance. You'll see 10000 toner bottles and no actual necessary products. Where's the first aid ointment, the adult care? Not in the adult care aisle that's for sure. Any bags at self check out available? Nope. Anyone to help you? Nopers. A restroom open to customers? "No cuz like ummm the pharmacy is not on so like the bathroom doesn't work." I'm sorry what??? What does that mean?? Do I have to do a sacrificial ritual to the bathroom gods to wash my hands? The parking lot alone will stop you from going inside. You are greeted by several homeless people, dirty trash everywhere, bottles, needles, rugs, wood and I can go on and on. This CVS gets many low reviews, but I beg to disagree. Everybody who works at the CVS is friendly and kind and courteous. I am greeted every single time I walk in the door -- and I mean every single time without fail. That may sound like something minor, but I appreciate the friendliness. I've gotten to know the CVS employees pretty well, and a lot of them have really good senses of humor! This CVS has an excellent stock of cosmetics, face care, and hair care products. Their pharmacy is efficient, and I even pick up my dog's meds here (they make sure to let me know that the pug mustn't operate heavy machinery or drive when taking his pain pills -- hilarious). CVS always gives me a ton of coupons, and I save a lot of money almost every time. I can always find a place to park in the giant parking lot in the back. The clientele isn't too sleazy, and I like this CVS a whole lot better than the one on the south side of Ventura next to Bookstar. That one is just downright sleazeville. Come on over to the Vons parking lot and give this CVS a whirl. read more

This location, has been my go-to pharmacy for a decade! I drop off my prescription, and wait for their text that my prescription is ready. They even offer delivery service. I like coming here to use my rewards card for discounted items while I wait. The staff is very helpful at the pharmacy, as well as the store associates. Update to my previous review. The same thing has happened to me the past 2 years whenever I try to refill a medication. They do not know how to process insurance and try to charge me full price, or a "discounted" price. I then explain to them I have insurance that covers the cost - I wait an hour - then they all get together around their computer to figure out how to punch-in insurance information - then they apologize and tell me they were confused on how to process insurance. Today the pharmacist did a print out of the medication she gave me, and then after I tried telling her this was not my medication not my doctor or information - she looked at me so tired and wanted me to take the meds and go, even if they weren't meant for me. I immediately went home and transferred all medication to another non CVS pharmacy. read more

I would like to say a few words about service here. On pick -up area only one person works. Other employees, even if they are free, do not help. There is a long queue for medicines. The girl on pick up window is in no hurry to work, she does everything slowly, sometimes she turns to her colleagues for help because she cannot find medicine. Maybe she is a new employee and will still gain work experience. But in general she is working good. That's why I recommend to choose another close to that location pharmacy. read more

Four different techs/pharmacists and a week and a half later, I get yet another, different answer as to why my mom's medication has not been approved. Mind you, we did what we were asked the first time, received confirmation that the medication would be ready, went to pick it up, told there was no record, called again and were told now we need a new dr rx. The doctor is only at the clinic on Mondays and now we have to wait another week. No one takes accountability here and the answer for mistakes is "Sorry, that wasn't me. " How does a company that deals with people's medication and health say "Sorry, that wasn't me" and gives 4 different answers for the same question? My mom will run out of her medication in 2 days, and if she sustains organ damage because of this pharmacy and it's incompetent negligence, I WIIlL SUE. read more

ON CDC is approved to get second booster and also their website let us make appointment for over 50, yet they say the company did not inform them and wasted all our times by taking off work. I'm surprised how a chain pharmacy not getting updated information from the main company. This is the second time this location turned me down for vaccine, never again. My dog got attacked by a pit bull at CVS Studio City on Sunday 2-27. The manager, Kevin, victim shamed me and refused to give me his last name. He took the side of the attack dog's owner and refused to give me the attack dog/pit bull's owner's information. He had me write down MY information and as I was doing so he allowing the attack dog's owner to walk out of the store. I yelled at him to get her information. He left the store and after about 8 minutes I went outside and he was chatting it up with the attack dog's owner, exchanging numbers in their cellphones. We he returned I asked the manager for the attack dog's owner's information and he refused to give it to me. He said he's sending the attack dog's owner's information to "corporate." I called Monday morning and confirmed there was in incident report, #85491892. I was assured the video tape would be viewed and someone would get back to me but nothing happened. I called yesterday and was assured someone would get back to me within 2 hours but nothing happened. All I want is to report this dog to Animal Control in an effort to keep other dogs safe from being attacked. I'm afraid this dog will certainly attack again and the owner and the CVS manager, Kevin, will have blood on their hands. My dog was lucky she wasn't killed. read more

I really try to make this cvs work for me. I live within walking distance and I work in this shopping center so it's super convenient plus I've never had any issues with their pharmacy but wow their stores customer service 1-10 is less than a 1 haha. I am never greeted in this store, I'd go as far to say both their security guards make me feel very unwelcome. I know some bad characters come in here, I work right there and we've had to call security over to our store a few times but wow these guys in cvs always treating me like I'm sketchy when I'm looking around the store trying to find something but of course no one has ever asked me if I needed any help and let me tell you the retail side for the most part during weekday is slow. Today I went to get vitamins and they had a buy 2 get 1 free promotion and of course the sale didn't go through but that's funny because right after I went to cvs literally across the street and they were able to apply the sale for me buying both cvs and nature made brands that had the same promo...hmm. This store gets 2 stars because it's better stocked and a bit cleaner than the one across the st but if I spend anymore than 2 minutes looking at makeup here I'm followed but never helped. It's a shame too because I was so excited when they remodeled and upgraded the beauty section. I'll just head across the way to the other cvs that has an awesome beauty expert that helps me out and a really nice operation manager that always makes me feel welcome and not weird for taking my time looking around. read more

Super busy CVS on Ventura. I think the bad part of my experience here were these two guys that were obviously up to no good and were trying to return an item without a receipt. Not sure what their deal was, but they had something going on with them and an odor that followed them around. I saw the manager following them around, but he eventually asked them to leave and they didn't put up much of a fight. The CVS itself is generally ok... had all the normal convenience items. The shelves themselves were a bit disorganized with products on the floor. The amount of people coming in an out of the location must be a lot but I would think they would staff accordingly. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute WORST. Stay away if you can. Takes you 45 minutes on hold before anyone picks up the phone, and when they decide to pick it up, they are extremely rude, not helpful, and treat you like a criminal for asking about your prescription. There have been times I've sat on hold for 30 mins trying to get an update on my prescription only to have someone pick up the phone and immediately hang it up. Then you have to start all over again, navigate through their stupid automated phone system, and sit on hold for another 30 mins hoping someone actually cares enough to pick up the phone and talk to you this time. This wouldn't be as frustrating if there was another way to check status on your prescription, but there's not. The only way you can get this information is sit on hold for an hour hoping someone answers, or take a gamble and show up hoping your medicine is ready and correct. They also send out false text alerts notifying you that your prescription is ready for pickup, then when you drive over there to pick it up, they tell you they have nothing for you, and get combative when you tell them you received a message saying there was. I've been given false or misleading information about my medicine by them over and over again. One time, a pharmacy tech told me my sons medication was no longer covered by insurance and they tried to charge me $400 for it. They told me there was nothing they could do, that I needed to call my insurance to have them push it through. I then spent a half an hour on the phone in their parking lot with my insurance provider assuring me that nothing had changed, the medication was still covered, that there must be some error on the pharmacy's side, only to go back in with this information and have the pharmacy tech fight with me some more about it. Had to call my insurance in front of them, have my insurance provider tell them on speakerphone that the medication is covered and walk them through the process only to find out that the pharmacy clerk entered something incorrectly on their end. Wasted an hour of my day trying to pick up medication from a combative pharmacy tech who made me jump through all these hoops just because she made a mistake, and decided it was easier to fight with me instead of double checking her work. I don't know if it's a policy of CVS's to train their employees to treat their customers like we're all idiots, but that's a pretty quick way to lose business. It gets old fast read more

THE most Costco-esque CVS I've ever shopped. With a mere 40-minutes in between appointments to explore I only covered a quarter of the cavernous square footage. Inventory here is amazing - Papyrus greeting cards, supplements, eye, skin and foot care, all things kids, grocery items to name a bit of what I caught while staying on task! I zeroed in on restocking cosmetic staples and was pleased to find my brands part of either a buy one get one 50% off or buy one get another free. Rewards program is a great thing and regardless of my hubby's objection to CVS tracking my/our shopping patterns, I say, "Show me the money [saved]!" Seems most people park in the ample, free lot behind the store where upon entering there's one traditional check out with a real person to both greet and later process your purchase. Self-check out stations at the front/Ventura Boulevard (metered parking there) entrance. Pharmacy was doing a brisk business on the store's east side. Didn't notice if there's a "Minute Clinic". Generally, this CVS seemed under staffed with the folks on the floor doing a fan-worthy, customer care job. Fuck this CVS!!!! I'm constantly getting racially profiled whenever I'm in here. From bad looks, to being followed around the store, to constantly being asked "do I need help" (in that funny way). One Sunday morning, there were only 2 old white people in the whole store before I walked in. I suddenly hear "Security, walk the floor" over the loud speaker. Today, the security guard, rather than greet me as he did those that walked in before and after me, just gave me this nasty look as I walked in.
