I'm always greeted when I walk in, especially by Lucia. Other workers also asked if I have found everything I needed. I mainly go for the Pharmacy. I used to work in healthcare and KNOW the demands so I extend lots of grace. With the Rite Aid having closed, I'm sure they are getting slammed with more work and on top have to deal with corporate demands. The Pharmacists is always helpful in making sure we know how to take our meds and the techs are great and very patient‼ I do dislike longer wait times in the drive thru or inside but everyone is seen working diligently. This is for the pharmacy. I was switched to this particular Walgreens when Rite Aid closed there stores. This was 3 months ago. Since the switch, i have a headache. Drive thru, cant hear what they're saying, they have to keep leaving to ask about what you're asking. Last but not least, My medicine is given to me on different days because they don't have that particular medicine, then they had me under two names and couldn't figure out why they count find my medicine my Dr called in. This is the 3rd time they have sold my dad a gift card that doesn't work. Every year my dad sweetly buys me an Amazon or visa gift card from this Walgreens and every year I have to come to tell them it doesn't work. I come, they tell me they don't take returns and I have to call a number. I call the number. They tell me I have to go back to the store. The store tells me to come back when the regular manager is there. That manager helps me get a new gift card. Every time. If I didn't know better I'd think there's some kind of fraud going on here. Note: READ OTHER REVIEWS. There's good reason this pharmacy is only rated at two stars. Note to Management: you have a pharmacist by the name of LAURA/Lauren who likes to say that she's the manager. Perhaps she is. But she behaves in a most un-managerial fashion and borders on borderline sociopathic in terms of her lack of compassion, professionalism, and care. I've filed a notice with the corporation asking for them to seriously review this particular pharmacist. She has no business working in healthcare or human being wellness on any level. Like a lot of folk in this area, my prescriptions were transferred to Ralph's without my consent due to Rite Aid going out of business. Within enough time, literally the day after the transfer happened, I went in person to this Walgreens as it was the closest. I tried calling, but of course got redirected to their perky, automated message that wasn't allowing human being to speak to human beings about their healthcare rights while Walgreens benefited from Rite Aid's misfortune. Stood online for - I'm not making this up - 50 minutes. Got to a young gent at the front who was kind, and I explained that I was currently in treatment for radiation, and had a few prescriptions I would need to figure out. He seemed lost and a bit overwhelmed, I asked if I could speak to a manager. This was my first encounter with LAURA who was present, but hardly friendly. I explained to her carefully that my healthcare had shifted this year and it was now under my maiden name, but a lot of my prescriptions from Rite Aid/Ralphs would reflect another name. I provided all of the documentation, a printout of my recent prescriptions, and appropriate identification so that they could accurately ensure that my prescriptions transferred over. I explained to her that it was important to get done due to my healthcare, and asked when they would be able to get this done. She assured me within 48 hours, I should receive a call that the first prescription would be ready. I figured as she was the manager, and I shared it was important, that she would care and follow up. 3 days go by and I call and ask for LAURA. She gets on the phone after a minute and I ask the status of my prescriptions. I provide my name, date of birth, and phone number. I'm nowhere in the system. So despite having a heart-to-heart, waiting online for close to an hour, Laura hadn't bothered to input my information. Obviously, I'm not happy - and she does not apologize, but Just says they've been super busy because of the transferring going on. I say I understand they are understaffed and making out like a bandit because of Rite Aid's misfortune, but that should not affect peoples health. She doesn't like the fact that this is true, but tells me she'll get it done in the next 24 hours. I ask her to have someone call if any problems so that I can get into it with Ralph's to sort out the difficulty myself. I give her my number again and I ask if we will have a problem with me being in the system in 24 hours. She assures me she will get it done, and my hope is she will keep her word this time. Meanwhile, I call a local upscale pharmacy with slightly shorter hours, one of those independent pharmacies that has a 4.9 rating on Google. That would be ELEMENTS in Studio City. They get my prescription done in one day even tho I haven't had a heart-to-heart in person and even though they're dealing with the same Ralph's to get transfers done! No surprise: I never hear from Laura, never hear from Walgreens, and after 4 weeks still have not gotten one notification that any of the prescriptions were filled. Again, I've filed with the corporation that they do a serious review of this pharmacist who could care less about people's well-being and is in it strictly for the paycheck. She should not be working at a pharmacy. Highly recommend anyone in this area move over ELEMENTS in Studio City - they've literally got 3 pharmacist on staff throughout the day, tons of parking, and it's an upbeat experience where you only wait online for two minutes. read more

I hardly shop at Walgreens anymore, but when I do, it is always a great experience in every department and with MOST employees. Walgreens all over seem to be fairly going down with some products that I need and some employees that I have to deal with. They are known for hit or miss. Either you get one or two great, knowledgeable, helpful employees; or when they see you, they hide, so you don't ask them any questions. That is not ok and shows lack of compassion in their customer service skills. I have always had a good experience shopping at this particular store. It is fully stocked, clean and somewhat good customer service. Few weeks ago I was in the area and needed to buy couple of vitamins and asked a guy name Erik who was in the photo department to assist me, w/out looking for the vitamin that I needed he right away said NO, WE DON'T HAVE IT!! I was like can you look again because I can't find it. He said when I am saying no, then we don't have it. I said do you mind checking in the back? He goes and comes back within 5 minutes and gives me the same answer that they don't have it. I remember buying that vitamin from Walgreens before, maybe they were out of stock? Discontinued item? So he left. After careful observation, not only that they HAD the vitamin that I needed, they had 6 in stock. I bought all 6 of them and was happy, yet a bit angry that Erik didn't want to help me. Now, what can I say about this poor, incompetent person that didn't want to go that extra mile and help me. Right away he said NO and walked away. TWICE!! Evelyn and the other cashier were friendly and helpful with other things that I needed. I have always liked Walgreens and because of Erick, that is not going to stop me from shopping there or any other Walgreens that I know. Keep that in mind that other Walgreens stores are going out of business. And if employees of this Walgreens doesn't shape up, you guys might be next!! I could have ducked another star and make it 3 stars, but because of my past experiences being GREAT with products that I needed, management and staff....I will leave it 4 stars for now. I've been waiting in line for ten minutes at this hellscape of a clown pharmacy. I waited ten minutes in the line outside first before I gave up. Walgreens used to be mediocre, but now that they've been iMPrOvEd by venture capital, I'm going to an independent pharmacy. AND YOU SHOULD TOO. The calls at this point are 20-30 min long moron affairs as you beg a bot to let you speak to a human. It argues against that. Hell, you'll get hung up on a time or two--every time--before you go to the third circle of hell. In that dreaded place, a middle person--who cannot actually help you--makes you tell them everything before they transfer you. Once you do manage HAHAHAHA to talk to a pharmacist, they SCREAM at you that you're not allowed to ask them questions about prescriptions. You have to use the app! Oh, worthless plebe, did you think you'd get help? HAHAHAHA. Again. I can't wait until all of Walgreens goes under. I hope none of these folks end up elsewhere to terrorize the public. Still standing in line by the way. I composed this entire thing before anyone helped me. It's been 16 minutes inside now. So I'm nearly at 30 minutes before I even get to the Idiot Brigade. I had to deal with a medication issue at the Pharmacy, but was very nervous about explaining an adverse reaction I was having. The Pharmacy technician was very calm, non-judgmental, and helpful. She made me feel welcome, and also worked with the pharmacist to resolve any potential insurance issues. I truly appreciate the patience and professionalism she demonstrated. My psychiatrist sent in a prescription for my ADHD medication Vyvanse on Friday. I called on Tuesday to inquire about the status. One of the pharmacist employees informed me in a very rude and dismissive tone that there was a very low chance they would be able to fill the prescription for me, based on their current "situation" and that others were ahead of me waiting for the medication. At this point, she hadn't even asked me for my name, birthday or additional account information. When I finally got a word in edgewise and gave her my account info, she told me they MIGHT be able to fill it and there was only a 50% chance I MIGHT receive my medication in an unspecified timeframe. I found the whole thing absolutely bizarre since the month before I filled my RX at Costco with no issues whatsoever. The woman on the phone had no customer service skills at all. Turn around time for medication is hours long. They are short staffed and while the staff is doing their best it's not good enough. Long wait line for pickup. I needed some OTC medication and I knew that they will have it. Upon arrival, I went in that section. They have a few choices. I got what I wanted and went straight to the register. They are always out of my medication and have to order it (nothing special) and still don't get it in and want to give me a partial refill, so I have to keep going back, then won't refill when I am due. I don't know what it is about the multi-city Walgreens off Coldwater Canyon and Magnolia Blvd, technically in Sherman Oaks but also basically in Valley Village and/or Valley Glen... But I love it. Every trip here is smooth and easy. The have great service in their pharmacy, checkout and on the floor.... Even security is warm and polite. Maybe there's something in the Tujunga Wash that resides beside it but the vibes here are always good. Found some fun festive things here around Valentines and always manage to find great deals on candy, first aid and misc supplies here. The hair care products are a bit pricey but they do carry a few things you wouldn't normally find at CVS or Rite Aid, which I live. Especially black hair care products... way to go Walgreen's Sherman Village Glen. The parking lot is pretty simple to navigate with a few rows and wide parking line dividers. One too many Stars here! No wonder when you walk in it is like a ghost town. Their online vaccine reservation system is absolutely useless. Twice I made a reservation to receive my Typhoid vaccine and twice they called me to tell me the vaccine has not arrived. First time was an hour before my appointment and the second time was two minutes before I arrived for my appointment. Stopped in this Walgreens location because for the first time in decades I need to do my own nails. Gasp! I know, not the time to complain about not having a gel mani but I'm sure this is happening to many women in the midst of this virus ordeal. I wanted to quickly pick up some polish in an uncrowded location and grabbed a bottle of Tylenol (just in case we need it, hopefully we wont!) and was on my way. After spending 20 minutes on the phone on hold - I was told that Walgreens 'forgot' to order the medication (post knee surgery pain management medications). I asked when would the RX be ready for pick up - I was audaciously told in 10 days. I then asked the Pharmacist for suggestions on what I can do to manage the pain for 10 days given that the first 48hrs are the most painful - her response, and the reason for this post - she stated "I don't know". This a licensed professional whose job (JOB) is to help me with these scenarios - and the best (an educated licensed professional) answer she could provide was - I don't know. I said ok - she then said so you want them or not. I hung up the phone. Not only should the pharmacist feel embarrassed about such a poor response and solution - but Walgreens themselves - should read this. I'm 36 - not an 84yr old depending on life saving medications. I'm picking up a RX for the management of my intensive surgery - I am not too sure what the pharmacist thinks when she wakes in the morning. I don't know if she is aware of her role, which is to "help" people with their provider prescribed medications. Save yourself the nonsense and don't fill any RX at this location. The manager Johnathan is rude. Doesn't even try to attempt to help you just assumes to know everything and won't make an attempt to help and speaks over you. I checked with customer service with the service I was requesting to use just to be sure I knew the correct info before coming in. He wouldn't even attempt and walked away from me instead of actually trying. Should not be a manger if that's how he treats people. After the people that got there after me were called up to pick their order up I asked for mine only to find out they finished mine and it was just sitting there for who knows how long. This review is for the pharmacy. DO NOT COME HERE. First off, the Walgreen apps for the pharmacy is broken. Reached out to corporate and they fail to fix technical glitches. If you submit a request for a refill, the app says it's submitted but the pharmacy says it hasn't been submitted at all or received. Second, this location or Walgreens, in general, does not have a wide array of medications in stock. They're always back-ordered on various medications. Pharmacy staff makes promises they can't keep, and then uses "it's on backorder". I smell something fishy cause why can Rite Aid order the same medication and tell me a definitive date it will be in stock and have them fill it. read more

The fact that an employee allowed the dasher to purchase it is insane but it's also insane that it was even being resold like this. I can see why this place has two stars, the system they employ at the pharmacy is plain old stupid, there are multiple workers so why not alternate lunches so that you don't have to close the pharmacy entirely for lunch causing people who don't know, to come in and waste a trip? I am trying to properly dispose of expired medication. Called and found out they have a bin here and verified that yes it was operational. When I go in, it's locked shut. I ask an employee why is it locked shut and he says, "oh the pharmacy has to be open" and tells me what time it opens the next day when I ask. Except that it wasn't when the pharmacy opened the next day, because I went at that time and it was closed. The employee I talked to then said the bin doesn't have to have the pharmacy open; if it's locked it's locked and it's not going to be open. The employee didn't care that I have been given wrong information multiple times, and the employee didn't care that they'd wasted my time. So I don't care about Walgreens and they won't get my business. You cannot rely on anything an employee says. I have come here to find items before; I won't in the future. read more

It seems like there are many poor reviews here for the pharmacy. I don't know about it, but I will say every time I visit "home" here in the SFV, this is by far the best Walgreens. Why? Because it's never understaffed, every employee says "hello" with a smile, and some will pay enough attention to see if you're looking for something and then ask if you need help. This service rarely happens anywhere anymore, so I applaud the management of this store. I love how big and well stocked it is too. I always end up spending more than I want to, but in a good way. They have most everything you could possibly need without a stop to Target. I hope the pharmacy gets better, but until then you can find me in the aisles looking for goodies. read more

Ordered a floating frame confirmation said it would be ready at 2:57 pm. I arrive at 7:00pm it's not done. Photo lady PAMELA tells me nobody did it and I should have waited for a text confirmation because my confirmation is just an estimate, then proceeded to tell me she ain't doing it she will call a manager. Never one time did she apologize for the inconvenience at all. Made it seem as tho it was my fault for coming in (4 hours after the time "estimated) without a text saying it's ready.
