Admittedly, it was a bit rough at first, as things were not transferred properly, and no one really knew what had happened. However, everyone here was really nice, and helped us work through all of the issues. For a third of what I want to buy, I need a staffer to unlock a cabinet, but there's no staffer to check me out - I have to use the self-checkout, one of which was down the last two times I was there. I'm visiting for a few weeks and have had good experiences here (friendly staff when you can find them) but I'd like to add on to the review about having so many items locked up. I must have stood in an aisle for 10 minutes dinging the bell every minute or so just to get Tylenol. When I finally walked up to the front and asked for help in the pain relief aisle there was no, "oh yes sorry we heard you and are coming." when obviously someone had to have heard me. They have so many items locked up I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to depend on this drugstore for basic items. Waiting in line for 10 minutes wouldn't even be bad so long as you knew someone was going to get to you eventually. I hope they change their layout so all locked stuff is within proximity of a worker or hire more staff or something. Other than that it's great. read more

I needed a cart so naturally I took the only one available, which was outside the door. One of the workers comes up, possibly a "manager" and tells me that "it's not our cart but I'll let you use it this time". Ah gee thanks fella I'm so grateful. We only used the photo printing at this location, and despite having our confirmation emails, app order and website link, they kept us waiting for over 45-minutes to receive our 10 printed pictures. The staff was friendly enough, but seemed to lack the knowledge or understanding of customer service and the photo printing service. read more

Don't get a COVID vaccine here. Easy to make an appointment online through the cvs national website (booking opens 2 weeks ahead), but when it comes to actually getting the vaccine, be prepared to wait 30 min to an hour WITH an appointment. It sounds like they book on 15 minute intervals, but they don't start promptly on the hour. I arrived and checked in early for my 10 am appointment and was still not seen until 10:45. Maybe if you came 30 min early for your appointment you would be seen on time, but then you're still waiting 30+ min either way. It seems like they just have per diem pharmacists to do vaccinations who aren't familiar with the quirks of an individual store and also have to draw up all the vaccines themselves, verify patient ID, write out the vaccine card (no preprinted stickers here), etc without help from a pharmacy assistant. The whole workflow is just very inefficient. Last fall I got my booster at another cvs and was in and out in 5 min, so I know it's possible for it to go much faster. Heck, for my primary vaccine series I got to jockey for leftover doses for nonclinical hospital employees by loitering around the clinical employee vaccination site at the end of the day and even THAT process somehow felt more efficient than today's endeavor. To top it off the pharmacist, while pleasant, had their mask below their nose the entire time. We know better than this by now! read more

CVS Vaccine Appointment system is not trustworthy and they have no problem booking appointments without vaccine supply. Today, I drove 40 minutes in traffic to my vaccine appointment and there was no supply. I received a text at 4:30pm that indicated the appointment was ON - but pharmacy staff knew this was untrue in the morning. read more

This is a solid pharmacy. They are busy like every pharmacy seems to be with all the corporate consolidation going on. But in spite of that, they have my medications when I need them and they try to be helpful. I feel bad for them because they are obviously overworked and understaffed. The manager, Danny would not honor the online coupon codes. I have screen shots of the coupons that are active and even a screen shot saying they can apply the codes at the store when I pick them up. It's active on the website currently and he said he'd rather send them back to have them shredded then honoring the price online? I've been ordering pictures this way for years from the app and picking up in store. There is no logical explanation for this and Danny and his manager Brian should provide better customer service. The code is 100 valid active code and it clearly states they can adjust it in the store!! read more

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. I don't know whats going on with this place, but I would not recommend giving this company any of your business. In the past I have come in to get something and asked a manager to price match an item in the store to the same item on their website that showed it for $5 less. His response "We don't price match our website." Mmmmm, ok. Five days ago I put in an online transfer for my prescriptions (insurance reasons) from a pharmacy down the street. The most communication I got about this was an email that confirmed the initiation of transfer. I called the same day to speak with someone to see if the transfer worked and if anyone was working on them. They told me it works, but they didn't have one of the prescriptions available......so does that mean you won't fill it ever? Does that mean you don't have it at the moment? Does that mean I need to wait a few more days? She told me she would give me a call before the end of day to let me know. No phone call received. I called 4 times over the last three days and wasn't able to get ahold of anyone. So today I went in to get my prescription, walked up to pharmacy, was called to the register, they asked for my information and then said "Oh your prescriptions aren't filled and we're going to close in 1 minute for lunch." Uhhh ok? So it's been 5 days since I made the transfer. 5 days since I talked to someone. I'm 4 days behind on a prescription. And they turn me away after calling me up to the register to ask for my information and then let me know they're going to lunch and to come back in an hour? But now I want to know, will my prescriptions be filled in an hour?? 2.5 hours later I go in and the woman at the register goes "oh...our pharmacist had to walk to the other pharmacy to get this." I told her that when I talked to someone at CVS 5 days ago they said they might have to do that so I wasn't surprised. And just to be clear, these pharmacies are 1 block away from each other. But, this lady had to remind me two more times that the pharmacist physically walked down the block to get my prescription. "We don't normally do that for people." Then turns out, they only filled 1 of the three medications. So I ask "Where are the other two?" "We don't have a record of other prescriptions." .........So yeah, I'll be transferring right back to my old pharmacy. This place SUUUUCKS. It's been a nightmare, y'all. read more

Called another time to check on a prescription was told they don't accept Premera Insurance and the pharmacist said we don't take cash payments and hung up on me! Wow just wow. Booked a Covid vaccine booster appointment for my mom who is visiting from Canada. We got there and waited, and waited. The pharmacist finally said "US government changed their policy and no longer covers for non US citizens". Something doesn't sound right. CVS's booking site certainly didn't mention that, otherwise we wouldn't have booked the appointment. I am disappointed by the CVS experience. The pharmacist was clearly trying to do me dirty so im gonna go ahead and send one back with this review. :) I had very low self esteem and was dating an inconsiderate coke head pile of trash and wound up knocked up. I spent every last penny I had to go to Planned Parenthood and make sure I wouldn't forever be connected to that idiot. I then go to this CVS to pick up my meds. I was nervous as I had never done this / taken these pills before so they recommended I have a "consultation" with the pharmacist. She then proceeds to SCREAM all the gruesome details of what my box is about to endure so the entire store can know what it is I'm taking. Lady, idk what your problem is but the last thing I want is the ska dads of wallingford knowing I'm fertile. At least I'm aware that I shouldn't reproduce!!! I'm a CA transplant and where I'm from there are CVS everywhere. I am so happy that they've finally begun to expand up into WA. CVS is basically your standard drug store in terms of selection, but I find the employees to be much more friendly. Also their rewards cards consistently save my family tons of money. Not only do I receive 15-25% off coupons almost weekly by email to load into my card, but you also receive coupons for specific items or brands every time you make a purchase. To put the final cherry on pop CVS will also give you "extra care bucks," otherwise known as free money for every 10 prescriptions you fill and on a quarterly basis based on how much you spend. Coming to CVS has saved me hundreds of dollars of the years. Another big bonus is that there is almost never a lie for the front register, nor for the pharmacy. There is also ample parking in the back/side which is reserved for CVS customers only. However, there is no drive through pharmacy and it's not open 24 hours like some other stores. read more

Me and and my son would stop into this location a couple times a week to pick up drinks or supplies before dropping him off at school .We would get looks from employees but nothing that would detour us from shopping till today . We were buy some mask for my son and a drink . As we were waiting in line for the self checkout one of the employees ( im assuming a manager ) called us over and said he would ring us up . So we walk over and he literally proceeds to help another customer as he just seconds ago called us over. So by the time he's ready to help us the self check out was free so I just went through that lane. This isnt and easy task considering I have a two year old in stroller moving back and forth . The same guy walks around to the other side of the counter where we are looks us up and down and in my sons stroller and see a little matchbox car in the bottom part of the stroller. He proceeds to ask me if that's " their" car . I replied "no it's our we had bought the car weeks ago down Bartell" . I buy the cars for my son once a week as a after school surprise since he's new to school and thought it was a cute tradition. The guy gives me a kind questionable look ( as if I'd steal a car that is 1.50 ) being a black man in Seattle you get use to the looks , along with the tones and implications , but at a place we frequent a few times a week by someone who I'm sure recognizes us is a new level insulting . As we were leaving I let him know how insulting it was (as he immediately went back to the other side of the counter cause he only came over to the other side to look in the stroller ! Yes I noticed , we have learned as you're watching us we need to be watching you !! ) As a home owner , a father , and family that lives a few blocks from this location I've haven't been this frustrated in a very long time. First time trying any curbside service, first time in Seattle. I did everything they told me to do. I was in a taxi building up $6worth of charges waiting for someone to come out. They then texted me a second time to tell me to let them know when I had arrived. I already had done that and they told me It would be a few minutes. I ended up asking the taxi driver to watch my dog while I went inside to get it myself. No customers and my package was sitting on the counter. The girl had the nerve to ask me if she could help me outside with my stuff! I emailed CVS with my complaint and they promised that someone from that store would get back to me within 2 days. HA! Seriously the nicest pharmacists I've ever seen. Every time I'm there they go above and beyond for me, and the girl in the back remembers me and always tells me what problems there were filling my prescriptions and what they can do instead. For example, this time I was filling my prescriptions and my doctor had written it wrong so they couldn't fill it without charging like $300 for $2 prescription. So the pharmacist tried like five different ways to fill it differently and ended up saving me so much money by finding an alternative. I also had an expensive prescription that I was really dreading paying for, and once the girl rung it up she asked me if I really wanted to buy it because it is so expensive. I looked online and found a coupon and asked her if she could try it, and she spent 5 minutes extra time putting all the information in to save me as much money as possible. They are always so nice and go above and beyond for their customers. read more

I switched pharmacy locations from First Hill to Wallingford and am so glad I did, kicking myself for not doing it earlier. Imagine getting a phone call when your prescription is filled. It's a robocall but that is worlds better than getting a call nine days later asking "you going to pick this up or what?" and responding "nobody called me to say it was in." Imagine a CVS pharmacy employee asking you if you have a benefits/reward card to use, after six years of silence or ignorance from a revolving passel of CVS pharmacy employees. Or asking you if you want your prescriptions automatically filled. Imagine staffing a pharmacy with informed, service-oriented technicians. Lots of parking available in the back, instead of trusting to luck to find a spot not taken up by someone who can't park or who's abusing the 20-minute pharmacy spot restriction (six of those taken -- enter the pharmacy and you're the only customer). This is the service equivalent of upgrading to a Ritz-Carlton suite after sleeping in a tent under the freeway. read more

I've tried to fill prescriptions here several times because this is my doctor's preferred pharmacy. Each of those times they have messed up the order and have to redo it while I wait outside. On top of it, the pharmacy staff are rude and patronizing when I point out that they've made errors in my prescriptions, trying to blame me, my doctor, or my insurance for their mistakes. When I transferred a prescription away from this location to another pharmacy to avoid the bad service, they sent the wrong dosage instructions, causing an insurance nightmare. My health insurance mandated the switch from Bartell Drugs to CVS, and CVS is awful. They send too many texts and voicemails regarding prescription status...i just want to know when it's ready. They sell sharps containers, but won't take full containers back for disposal, and claim that many pharmacies don't (Bartell Drugs and Kelley-Ross does). I keep getting asked if I want their CVS club card, and their pharmacy closes too early on weekends. Then there's the loud chimes announcing you coming and going (loss prevention?). Twice now, I've asked for a refill from CVS, and they had to contact the MD since I was out of refills, who's is normal; but then CVS claimed they never got the refill, while two different MD's said they sent it in days ago. I'm done! I checked with my insurance provider, and they made a mistake in switching me to CVS, so thankfully going back to Bartell's. read more

I walked into this corporate and much-maligned CVS to check it out. It's dated flood lights and over-saturated presence adds nothing to the unique Wallingford neighborhood and the products and customer service only add to negative experience. This shell of a store had a cold stale feeling and nothing worth buying that I couldn't get from locally-owned businesses 2 mins down the sidewalk. I will never go in here again and will never support this business. The neighborhood fought to keep this business out and I'm hopefully the poor selection, ugly building, and poor customer service will make this unnecessary CVS close asap. read more
