Never enough cashiers. Awful customer service. To add insult to injury, the pharmacy manager is really rude. I've told her too, and I'd do it again. They also never return phone calls (voicemails). The service I received at the CVS located at 12940 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd. during my recent visit to pick up my prescriptions was abysmal. Upon reaching my car, I discovered a critical error: one of the essential medications I needed was missing from my bag. Returning to the store, I encountered a swift resolution from the female pharmacist, which I VERY MUCH appreciated. However, my experience took a nosedive due to the appalling behavior of a male pharmacist who wore a pair of black-rimmed glasses. His unprofessional and disrespectful demeanor was utterly unacceptable. When I requested to return an excess topical gel tube, he said "it's a hassle for us to process the return, so next time you'd better do it when you receive your medicine." His condescending remarks, including the suggestion that I should have foreseen the mistake, were outrageous. He should have known that the medicines were in a STAPLED bag, the contents were concealed. This is not the way to treat a customer even if I made a mistake,... no wonder this [harmacy is rated so low. I would have given a minus review if I could. The female pharmacist saved it. read more

The pharmacist (a tall, slim, Asian lady) in this location is extremely rude and discriminatory. I went there for a refill of Ambien, she refused the refill because it was a couple days early. I told her I'm running out of my medication today and my doctor has authorized early release. She checked her computer and said she's just not gonna give me control medicine no matter what. I further asked is this a CVS policy and what does it take to get the refill, she basically just told me to go away. I was in shock, and I requested to take to her manager, she hid her name tag and went to other customers. Another lady (receptionist) started shouting at me to call some 1-800 CVS number. I needed to find a birthday card while on the way to the party. CVS did not let me down. Like Linda B. below, I miss Longs Drugstore, which CVS supplanted in so many locations. But . . . The card selection was good, which is not surprising given the profit margin on cards, and I found was that was fine. There was no line at the checkout register, so I was able to accomplish my mission in no time at all. My experience was four star, for others, perhaps not. read more

This CVS has worst customer service. There is nobody at checkout and forcing customers to do the checkout for them. A few employees working are loaded with other tasks and are not available. Shelves are empty every time I go there. CVS is now monopoly, and they don't care about customers. We should take our business someplace elsewhere. This cvs is a million times better now that they had fired this old store manager Cynthia Coutchivlis. She was horrible managing this location and stayed away. When I found out she was terminated, I started going back and the store loomed so much nicer and organized. read more

I never had issue with customer service if you find the rIght people. I love self checkout it quick and hurry. It kind of nice have drugstore near by. The people who are complaining about self checkout get over it every store has it now. The pharmacy it depends who you choose. They don't have restroom there safeway or togos or starbucks. read more

I was wondering why this CVS has such a low rating, and it looks like people are unhappy with the photo department. I can't comment on photos, but I've been very happy with the pharmacy department and the store in general. I tried going to a few other pharmacies nearby and was always frustrated with how slow their service was. This location, however, fills my prescriptions in a reasonable amount of time (e.g 15 minutes!) and they usually text or call when a refill is ready for pick-up. I never see more than 1-2 people in line which means check-out is a breeze. It seems like the clearance section isn't that popular at the Saratoga CVS so I snagged super cheap Christmas wrapping paper- 4 rolls for 79 cents woohoo! Also, I'm kind of addicted to redeeming their 40% off any one item coupons. How can you turn down such a good deal? read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for probably 15 years. I have always enjoyed my interactions. The staff is always friendly and accommodating - even when it's crazy busy! I wish I could remember their names (I'll make note of it next time) there is a very friendly blonde lady with glasses, a very knowledgeable gentleman pharm tech, and I believe a cashier named Mijad who was so nice to me the last time I came it. The pharmacist who gave me my flu shot the other week was very kind and efficient (even tho they were busy) People need to understand this is a VERY busy store and the staff is doing the best they can. Being at any pharmacy can feel overwhelming. However whenever I speak with Don at this pharmacy, he always makes sure that all of my questions are answered. Ordered refill - came in 3 days later to pick it up - told would be ready in 20 minutes - didn't need it immediately so I said I'd come back. Came back 4 days later - again told it would be ready in 20 minutes! No matter what, they want you to wait 20 minutes - probably so you'll hang out and buy something else. I don't blame the pharmacy staff - they're nice people. Probably company policy. If you don't like it, tough - go to Walgreens, which is even worse. read more

I agree with Michelle M.'s review. I went here today, found the items I wanted with no problems, and brought my 10 items to the check out counter. The cashier, Qualicia, ignored my presence for a good minute!as though I wasn't there. Finally, she looks up at me, so I told her I was ready. She responded with "Card," asking me for my CVS card I figured, as though she had been impatiently waiting for it. I proceeded to give her my phone number, since I didn't have my card with me. After I paid, she just handed me a bag and proceeded to help the next customer without even moving my items to the side of the counter. Ok, I guess I'm bagging my own purchase! It was awkward, because I had to reach over to get my items, while the next customer was trying to enter his pin number to pay for his items. I have been going to this CVS for several years, and I have noticed that the customer service has drastically deteriorated! They all (with the exception of one older lady, don't know her name) act like and show how much they hate working there. Who is managing this store?! read more

This place is pretty large and much nicer than most other CVS. But they lack the "As seen on TV" section that highly entertains me so. But they have a good food and beverage section plus toys. Checkout is a bit slow but so are the patrons. Guess it works for the locals.. read more

I have found the pharmacists friendly and extremely helpful in dealing with my mom's medications. And the wait times are never overly long.

I dropped off a prescription at the pharmacy and got called back a couple of hours later saying the prescription was ready for pick up. After arriving, they had no record of my prescription. While a pharmacist was helping locate my prescription, another pharmacist yelled from the back that it was probably sent to the CVS on Cox Ave. because "It happens all the time." In response, I requested my prescription back, but they could not find it. About a month later, this CVS called me again, saying my prescription was ready for pick up. I did not need it anymore, though, since I already picked it up at the CVS on Cox. read more

Do not go to this CVS for a flu or covid booster. I made an appointment for 11 am today, When I arrived 4 other people in line had appointments for same time slot. They said it would be at least an hour wait for the vaccination. Needless to say I left and rescheduled to the Safeway Pharmacy in Los Gatos which is much more organized. read more

For the second time in two weeks I have tried to buy Alcohol Prep Pads, an essential product for diabetics taking insulin injections. They did not have them in stock. Perhaps Walgreens does! I note from recent published reports that CVS (Washington Post on 7/23/20) that CVS was one of the significant participants in the Opioid Pill drug pushing scheme. That is shameful - and they still can't get products really needed by diabetics in their community. Clearly in my opinion this CVS location need new pharmacy and store management. read more

If you need to print anything -don't bother wasting your time, it won't happen in this location. I went to print pictures 3 times in the past 6 months, and every time I went home empty handed. Either the printer couldn't make 8x10 prints, or the printer got broken. Today they ran out of printer's ribbon and no one knew how to replace it. Incompetent workers and bad technology, that's all I can say. read more

Review is for pharmacy. I would have rated this place 5 a year ago but didn't as I didn't want this place to get too crowded (I'm selfish what can I say). Well, the service has gone way down hill in the last 6 months or so. They use to be very pro-active especially with filling my maintenance meds. Now, they don't even call/text me when meds are ready. Recently, they said meds would be ready in an hour when I called. Went there 2 hours later and it still wasn't ready. Went back 30 minutes later and they filled one prescription. Asked about the other one. They had to go back and check to discover about the other one. Had to wait another 20 minutes. Only to be told they were out of stock for that. Staff seems nice, but could be more competent/efficient. read more

I have been sorely and repeatedly disappointed since this CVS has replaced Longs here in Saratoga. I do not use the pharmacy for prescriptions, but I have found it very difficult to get help from them when seeking specific pharmaceutical shelf products. Once, for example, when I asked for a rather common feminine product the female clerk had no idea what I was talking about... and she was working in pharmacy! There is also no knowledgeable person in the make-up department. The check-out line is often impacted with as many as six or seven people and then, when it is your turn, you are receipted with enough paper to kill a tree! It is not a pleasant place to shop. They could improve if anyone there cared enough. It is not working for the locals. read more

Really bad service, tried getting a passport photo for which they charge 15 dollars and will make you feel as if they are doing you a favor. They took the picture correctly and then sliced the head by few mms. I had to go again and this time they showed even greater attitude, took another picture and with same results. When I said it is still not right the lady shows even greater attitude by saying that she will refund me my money instead of doing the job right. The inventory selection at this CVS is minimal and a lot of the things they sell are CVS brand only. If there is an item for sale in the paper, there is NEVER any of the item left at this store. And the employees always make it sound like they won't receive a shipment anytime soon. I always have to go to a different CVS if I want to buy a sale item, because its almost guaranteed that they won't have it. Their beauty products & medical supplies are WAY overpriced. I typically will buy things at the Safeway next door even though the drug store should sell these things cheaper....but alas they don't. Not a satisfied customer here, at all. read more

Seriously WORST pharmacy in the area. Would give 0 stars if possible. The staff is clearly incompetent and disorganized. No one here know what they should be doing or how to manage customers. We were told to stand in the same line 3 times, then told to go ask a different employee for help each time, none of whom knew what to do. We were the only ones in the store waiting for the flu shot and had to wait over 45 minutes despite opting not to go throught insurance, which apparently takes longer. They have no respect or courtesy for the elderly. Went here most recently for a flu shot, which costs more than average at $29.95. They offer a $5 gift card which they were out of and claim they will call later for pickup (an additional inconvenience for the day). They have filled incorrect prescriptions for drugs with major contraindications to current prescriptions and if it weren't for my general caution, would have had serious repercussions as a result. If you need anything remotely pharmacy related go anywhere but here. This review was based on several visits over a 3 month period, each visit worse than the last!! I have nothing against CVS pharmacy in general. They actually have decent deals. read more

I think the Pharmacy at this CVS might be better stocked than the one in Cupertino. Every time I've gone to the Cupertino CVS Pharmacy, I've been referred to the Saratoga CVS for my somewhat common prescriptions. Overall, the service isn't too bad--just a quick 1-2hour wait to fill the prescription (I usually go off and run some errands). As far as the rest of the CVS store goes, I feel like I've always had really polite cashiers telling me to have a good day and what not. Sure, as others have mentioned, the line to pay for your goods can get pretty long on some days, but it's not a big deal. read more

Update - stopped by today to get my pneumonia shot. The attendant at the pharmacy told me I had already gotten the shot in April. I said 'no' and she continued to argue. I had to insist that I hadn't had the shot and my doctor ordered it! Finally, she gave in and got the order ready for the shot. If I were less strong, or confused, I might have walked away. Please hire more competent employees at this pharmacy! I notice that one checker says 'card' and is irked if I take more than a second to find CVS card. Waiting to pick up prescription today took forever. Poor service, not enough help behind the counter. When it was Longs, the service was better. One worker would always greet everyone and asked if we customers if we needed anything. Then, he would actually help customers. And yes, the receipts are big and waste paper. I haven't found a good pharmacy since Mr. Rossi closed his shop on Big Basin. He had good service! We need a good pharmacy in Saratoga. read more
