Wow! The most horrific experience I've ever encountered so far 2026. Went in to grab a few snacks. First, the associate working there fixing the snack section was rude. I said "excuse me" very kindly. Then proceeded to check out. I asked the associate (Keith) if he could help me. He proceeded to "help" me with an annoyed attitude. Absolutely useless staff with no customer service qualities whatsoever. Every single interaction I've had with multiple staff members has shown that they would rather take whatever way is the "easy" way out instead of actually being helpful. I went to get my prescription and it was during lunch break. So I decided to do some shopping around and when I went to the billing counter, Tina helped me with the checkout. Worst experience here with a staff doing visa photo. I only asked a simple question--just to check if my visa photo showed both ears and met the size requirements. The guy got impatient and just said, "oh, you need a professional reviewer, we're just CVS," and then walked away and never came back. Honestly, if he doesn't like his job or working at CVS, that's fine, get a new job but don't take it out on your customers. I've been coming to this CVS for over 10 years, picking up prescriptions and shopping regularly. After today, I'm done. I'll be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

Can't complain about this CVS at all. I've filled 2 RX's here in the last 4 weeks. Each transaction was smooth and flawless. I never had more than a couple of minutes wait time. And the pharmacy staff are pleasant. No attitudes are "intentional" wait times (everyone must know what it's like to stand in the front of a line waiting while the employee works super diligently infront of you without even looking up to say hi or "be right with you". I have been shopping at CVS Moorpark for 35 years and I've always found it to be a pleasant environment. I've gotten to know the manager's well and they've always gone the extra mile for me. I've never experienced. The staff worker named Tina that was over-the-top rude and I was the same way back to her. She reeked of cigarette smoke, which is very offensive to people that have had cancer, such as myself. It was unbearable. She would not put in my phone number as she said she was dyslexic. I used to come here every 3 months to pick up my recurring medications but will be changing pharmacies and will never be coming back. I got yelled at by the pharmacist for asking follow up questions for why I was given a different medication than what I was prescribed. She gave me no explanation why the medication was changed without warning and could not answer any of my questions about if what I was given was a similar formulation. My doctor was also never contacted about the change. I had to call a different cvs to get my questions answered, and they actually took the time to look up the differences and explain them to me. The only positive experience of my last visit was the new clerk who originally helped me. read more

I made an appointment for a flu shot. They have times by the quarter hour online and a check in system... but they do not honor it. I went in for my appointment and was told there were eight people in front of me because they just take them as they come. Additionally, this means that there are eight people and their partners, caregivers, et cetera mulling around this already high traffic spot in the store. Not a great look, setup, or process. I had multiple bad experience visiting this CVS store on 5170 Moorpark Ave San Jose, CA 95129. I had to go to store for the third time to pick up my medicine last month. It was because the pharmacist was out for lunch 30 min past the lunch hour. All they like to say is "Please come back". They also provide wrong information which caused inconvenience to the customers. My friend did a walk-in vaccine yesterday. They told me I had to make an appointment online today when I tried to have the shot. I went back again the second time today for Flu shot, I was told I can come back around 4pm to check if I can do the walk-in vaccine. I wish they told me this earlier so I didn't have to make the second trip. All they like to do is "come back again". It seems to them we have all those free time to come back for picking up the same medicine multiple times or taking flu\vaccine shots. Our time is not important. If the service is not improved, I will not go there again. Basically I see pharmacists there don't try to make effort to help their customers but like to say "come back" again to do have the service we want. read more

This location is the worst CVS I've ever interacted with. The pharmacy is completely inept and has zero customer service. If you put a prescription "on hold" you should at least let the patient or the provider know. My provider called numerous times and couldn't get more info. I had to talk to three different pharmacists on four occasions and none of them had notes on the situation. They all told me different solutions for the "problem" but didn't like each other's solutions. The worst was Afsan who wouldn't let me get a word in during our conversation (and she had the info totally wrong so I was trying to correct her). Horrible pharmacy! Fills prescriptions with substitute medicines other than the doctor's prescribed and does not have the decency to let the patient know. We realized this when we experienced a strong reaction to the medicine. Then when asked why we weren't informed that the medicines were substituted with a generic brand, the pharmacist got offended, gave us major attitude, said she did nothing wrong and refused to refill the prescription. She offered no explanation of the medicine and what could be causing the reaction. A smart and reasonable pharmacist would have explained that although the active ingredients in the medicine are the same, the difference between the brand and generic would be the binding agent used. Certain people are allergic to the chemicals used in the binding agent, and you wouldn't really know that unless you know exactly everything that you are allergic to. Does CVS not realized that there are millions of other choices for pharmacies (with intelligent pharmacists) out there to choose from? Needless to say, we won't be coming back! read more

Note that, in the state of California, a pharmacy is not allowed to sell a *new* prescription to a customer if a pharmacist isn't physically present. As a result, if you try to pick up a new prescription while the pharmacist is on lunch break, you'll have to wait. You may want to call the pharmacy before you go, to find out if the pharmacist is there, and if not when she will return. Like all the other yelpers, I came here because I had those $10 off a $20 purchase coupons. So I figured I'd diapers. $23.99 for pack of 50 diapers. So....$48 bucks for a package of 100 diapers, wtf? With my coupons, the price came down to $28 which is exactly what I would have paid for a package of 100 diapers at Target or Babies R Us. This place is scam. Its way overpriced and has no selection. To top it all off, they have the crapiest customer service I've ever experianced. Upon checking out, the checker informed that if I didn't have a CVS care card that I wouldn't get the sale price if the item was on sale. So I ask, is it on sale? She says....Did you read the tag? like every other CVS, corporate horseshit aside, it's all a matter of the pharmacy staff. the pharmacy staff is fine and competent and nothing special or bad, but what is up with the third window they use to consult you on the prescription? i get the drop-off window and the pick-up window. what is up with the third window between when you pay for the drug and when they actually give it to you? in other words, you pay for the drug when they call your name at the pick-up window (or you stand in line to pay for it and pick it up), and then you have to actually move over to an adjacent window for the pharmacist to talk to you about drug interactions and shit. reminds me of that movie where ben stiller has to go from one window to another window even though it is the same rep and he is the only guy standing in line. read more

This place is A-OK. I'll drop by here from time to time before or after going to the 24 Hour Fitness a few doors down in the same plaza. Never had an issue with this place and they remodeled pretty recently when they transitioned from Long to CVS, so I'll give 'em a extra start for the effort for a grand total of 4 stars! So here's a specific reason why I detest this place. I needed Coke, not because I'm a Coke fiend, but because I was making LIITs. CVS is walking distance from my house and I didn't feel like driving anywhere for stupid Coke so I hoofed it over there. Now, I expected to pay a little more without a coupon or sale, and because it a drug store, after all. But when I discovered that the Coke 12-packs were going for $6 while the Pepsi 12-packs were on sale for $3.33, it dawned on me: I hate this place because the prices are completely arbitrary. You *know* that Coke was selling for $3.33 the week prior to or the week after this event. I just detest these games that they play, using some loss leader to get folks in the store so they can gouge them on everything else. Argh. My first visit to this CVS location was when they were making the change from Long's turn CVS. It was during the week of their "official" opening as a CVS store. They had so many empty shelves, their selection was really limited. It's not the location that I frequent but do go in there from time to time because of a friend who lives just down the street from this store. I went in a couple more times, yesterday being one of them. Nothing has changed. They have so much room & very little product. I thought things would've changed since their grand opening but it hasn't. Back when it was Long's, the store was full of various products. Now it seems like they're always out of things or just don't carry certain items anymore. Not a great store, at all. I'll stick with the location in my neighborhood. The Saratoga store overflows with all the items they carry! This store? Not so much. read more
