Social distancing practices, guidelines, policies and covid-19 vaccine instructions signs in front of CVS.
Mary B.

I got my covid-19 vaccine today! Sign up for your own covid-19 vaccination online at CVS.com, and live.:) This CVS location helped me safely navigate the vaccine process, administered my first dose, (painless) and gave me post-vaccine care, and thoughtful advice. And a coupon! Plenty of free parking. Located on Sierra Highway in a busy strip mall in Santa Clarita, this CVS is currently totally committed to pandemic response, and your good health. Numerous signs are posted in front of the entrance including social distancing requirements and guidelines for customers, and instructions for patients receiving their vaccinations. After being greeted by security limiting capacity, I entered a short line to check in for my vaccine appointment. While waiting in line, I was given a cool twenty percent off my entire CVS purchase coupon (including sale items!) Grab-n-go items available at the front coolers. Household items, pantry, electronics, pets supplies, vitamins and essentials line about 10 isles. I waited in isle 4 for a few minutes before my injection where boxes of fruit loops are currently reduced to clear! I sat down when it was my turn and rolled up my sleeve. I listened to advise as my injection was opened and prepared with gloves hands. I asked questions like, "How did your injection go, did you have a negative reaction, which one did you get?" I heard answers like, "Pfizer, Moderna, didn't have a bad reaction, it went great!" After receiving my injection and got a band aid, and cautious warnings about at home care, I was required to sit and rest for 15 minutes before leaving CVS. 2020 was hard on me. I cook and care for disabled and elderly people, my health problems put me at high risk for pandemic complications, I would not likely survive the virus, too many didn't. I can't wait to get my second dose, and afterwards, do all the things I couldn't do in 2020, like travel safely, and volunteer. I hope you get the chance to your own vaccine soon and share your success stories with me.:) Thank you SO much CVS, I really didn't want to leave this world yet, I have a lot to do. (Like save the world ) Thanks for helping me.

Over 2 hours to get a prescription filled? Pass. Go somewhere else. Also, maybe they could stagger their breaks so it's never closed?

Love the deals Walmart offers. Many times cheaper than the regular stores or even Sam's Club! A…read morevast selection of goods keeps me a returning customer. But the ONE thing that concerned my friend & I was the fact that items such as deodorant, which we both needed, is locked up & an employee had to get it & box it for us...due to SHOPLIFTING!!! They also have to keep the doors in that section LOCKED because of this!!! Also, some of their employees here are not very friendly & should get the sticks out of their butt & treat customers with RESPECT!!!

The parking lot is always an adventure. They do have electric charging stations available. One thing I've noticed is they tend to have THE SLOWEST cashiers. I tend to opt for self-checkout because of this. It's not just a bit slow- it's comically slow. Almost like they're trained to be the sloth from Zootopia. It's all of them. Not just one, which is why I think they're trained to go slow. To keep them from making mistakes and prevent loss issues possibly (?) but it's almost like a running joke now when we have to use a regular register. They take each item and look at all available sides before even attempting to scan it. Just give it a shot! Wave it in a circular motion and usually it will scan. I don't know why it's done the way they do it but watch next time you're there. It's kind of funny. I'm usually not in a rush so it's fine. Walking in there has always been a TERRIBLE sewer smell. I don't know where it comes from but it has been consistent. Sometimes worse, sometimes less depending on the breeze but always present. Everything is locked up and getting someone to unlock it makes it hardly worth the item itself. I've stood 10 minutes waiting and given up. When you do find someone they are less than pleased to assist. Wish I could say nice things about this location but they make it hard!

I go here once to twice a month to grab a prepaid phone card and also little things here and there…read more Richard who usually always helps me out in mornings when I go, has the best attitude and is really friendly not to mention very helpful !! I wish there were more people like him working everywhere. He always, no matter what has a great attitude and is super friendly and nice !! It's a pleasure to deal with people such as Richard !! If there's anybody out there from Walgreens management listening, let me tell you that he is a valuable asset to your corporation. I can get my phone card anywhere else closer, like cvs, Ralph's or 7-11, but I continue to go to Walgreens because if there great customer service. Now a days where everybody sells the same thing, you need people like Richard to set you apart and above from the rest of the competition. Thanks Richard always for your great customer service, really appreciate it !! See you next time !!

I've only ever come to this location to grab photo prints but you usually have to wait for someone…read moreas they always seem to be short staff on the main floor. They never check me out at the photo counter which makes no sense as there is a register, I always have to go in the main line to checkout which is usually an inconvenience as there's always line. (And my total is free so it's not like I have to actually "checkout" they just have to scan it indicating you picked it up). I also recently filled a few prescriptions here for my dad. They told us it would be ready same day so I went back around 3pm to grab them. One was ready to go but the other one was partially filled and they told me I can come back tomorrow to grab the second one. Ok that's fine but why not just call to let me know the issue instead of driving all the way back down here again? Also when it was ready the next day they never called to let you know to pickup your order, I had to call to ask if it was ready. They have our number and email so why is it so hard to let your customers know when their medication is filled?? I will say though besides all the common sense issues, the staff and pharmacist are all really nice. Parking lot is big, drive thru for pharmacy around back.

I've got to know Kenny over the last couple years living in the area and he's a stand-up guy and usually has a funny joke. I've also had good experiences with the pharmacy in the back with both the pharmacist in charge and the pharmacy techs. Had a couple of vaccinations done and issue with my insurance, which they got corrected by going the extra mile. I drink bourbon and when you find a good deal on a bourbon you should get it...like I said = weekly ad + deals on bourbon = Mike is happy. But the problem is that I don't have a Rite Aid that is generally convenient for me, but we were out getting a late night ice cream to help with the recent heat and most places around here roll up their sidewalks close to 10 PM. Rite Aid does too, but we got there right before closing and my wife got the double scoop she craved and cured the heat. While we were there I picked up something else I needed, but ventured over to the alcohol section with a LOT of choices on bourbon...yeah...! I saw one that was a peanut butter whiskey (this is not bourbon folks) but I thought it was interesting and might pick some up for my wife. We'll see, but in either case the staff was nice. I got my Rite Aid "card" by just registering my phone number with them and can use it in the future. The ice cream was a fond memory for my wife from her childhood so that along with finding a future location for a deal plus friendly staff was a good find. I saw the other reviews, discarded the Yelpers with the one or two only negative reviews as per usual. Not a bad place, but took it to the fourth star for my experience last night.
