My sister had just graduated, we went to go pick up her cake and when we got there, there was a mix up with our our cake and it would not be ready until the next day. We went to the manager on duty, Daniel. He immediately met us with compassion and jumped onto making the very best of our situation. He brought us 5 cakes that weren't the exact cakes we ordered but we made it work. But more so than that, it was his accommodating personality. He had paid for the cakes due to the inconvenience. Every person we encountered here were so amazing and personable. From the cake decorator to the sample lady. I will recommend this Costco to anyone. I was in a rush and needed to find the long Kleenex tissue boxes. I only saw the short boxes. I had asked an employee who was new & did not have a clue. He went to ask Jorge. Jorge had a big smile on his face and was carrying a clipboard. He was either doing inventory or getting ready to place an order. I asked him and he went right to the product I was looking for. I thanked him and with a smile he told me I was welcome. I watched him as he continued to help other customers. I have read that Costco will soon resume allowing seniors in a head of everyone else as well as allowing the Executive people who own businesses in a head of everyone else. I am happy about this! I hate shopping to find everything gone. Or kids running around and running into you. This store and its restrooms are always super clean. The pharmacy is always fast with Sam, the Manager in charge. Sam accommodates all her customers and sees to it that they get the best drugs possible! Jeanie is the other pharmacist who looks like a teenager and she explains everything to every customer about their drugs. She is really sweet and cute. All the employees in this store are really super great! I have wanted to tip them because of the excellent service but Costco does not allow it. They used to have it so you could give a note of satisfaction about an employee and the company would reward them but they stopped that as far as I was told. I just left this Costco and I'm disappointed for the service there. There was a guy in the meat department with a beard and a red baseball cap who rudely pulled his meat cart in front of me nearly hitting my stomach and not once did he say excuse me or anything and kept doing it, so I said "Do you not see me or know how to say excuse me?" He only gave me an ugly look and walked away. The Asian old lady at the receipt check area was being petty with checking all 5 of my items and I kept showing her where they were but, she kept lifting my items to see and she did it 5 times and I told her "Do you not see how many items are in the receipt? Also I'm showing you where each are" I felt like she was racially profiling me and maybe her eyes are giving out or she is forgetting how to do her job? I normally shop weekly at Walmart and monthly at Costco for household items that we use in excess like water, paper towels, etc.. I enjoyed shopping at Costco especially during the 9am hour. I sometimes purchased extra items that wasn't even on my shopping list. Price points are high! The food court is an affordable treat after shopping. The soda station always have bees in and on the dispensers so I don't purchase sodas. Lots of birds in the food court as well. The return department line can get long and service is slow but overall it's an easy stress free process. Costco customer service and support Fails at the self checkout and at the door where the employees check your receipt. I've only been through the self checkout once because the employee was literally on my back making sure I rung up my items. I even stopped ringing and asked him if he would like to finish ringing up my order. I only had 3 storage totes. He replied no and walked away. He watched me from a distance. I also had 2 incidents where the person that checks my receipt at the door, took a long time and was literally checking each item against my receipt. The other employee checking customer receipts on the other side -her line was moving quickly and efficiently. I felt offended and spoke to the managers. They said they would speak to the employee. Today it happened again and I only had 8 items. The lady at the door checked each item throughly against my receipt and then checked it again. I was standing there in shock. I decided to take the items out of the cart one by one so she can check it thoroughly a 3rd time. I felt like I was being racially profiled. I put my items in my car then went back in the store to speak to the manager. The store manager was standing there but didn't speak to me directly. I spoke with some other lady but I'm not sure what her title was. She just apologized and said they would speak with the employee. This type of customer service is disrespectful, disgraceful and disgusting. I would have never thought I would experience racial discrimination at Costco but here we are. Costco needs to be ashamed of themselves. We all understand and know we are being watched in any store we shop at but, I think Costco needs to teach their employees how to do it discreetly in a way not to offend customers. Based on the pattern, I am concerned there may be card skimmers or another security issue with the payment terminals. It seems that most costco employees are well qualified, motivated to provide good service to their customers, and appreciate their jobs. This clearly shows through their demeanor and attitude. In Santa Clarita, the striking exception to this is the food court. For some inexplicable reason, at least a couple of the regulars working the service counter weekday morning shift seem to absolutely despise their jobs and their customers. And in all the time I've been going here the angry attitudes have only gotten worse. I don't think for over 6 months I've heard the words "thank you" or seen a smile. You'd assume that management would care enough about how customers are treated to perform routine audits and take action to address identified customer service attitude issues and rude behavior. Perhaps this is too much to expect. It is because of this, that I do not look forward to visiting this Costco. read more

Unfortunately this is the only Costco for all of SCV, so as you can imagine it gets super busy. Parking can be a pain too since the parking lot is set up kind of awkwardly. However once you get into the store it's a decent size. They are well stocked with all kinds of cool stuff. You can get your staples as well as fun finds. It's truly a one stop shop, and the prices are great! I wish they had pay as you shop self checkout like Sam's because the likes can get so long. But their way of helping it is to sometimes have an associate who goes through the line and scans everything while you wait. I has gotten a pair of pants the day before and I liked them so much that I went back the next day to get another pair. I was disappointed because they didn't have my size and on my way out, I mentioned it to Will. He told me to hang on and he would go in the back and see if he could find backup stock. The staff here is so rude and unprofessional! I have been a member for almost 20 years and also a business member. I seldomly bring friends with me who are single moms who don't have memberships and let them get what they need this time. I had three friends with me and they all were getting some stuff probably close to $600 worth of stuff on top of my order of 250 all of a sudden they tell us that if you don't have a membership and you're using someone else's card, you can only pay cash none of the ladies I was with had cash. They couldn't give a one time exception for something they've never advertised or said anywhere? My friends and I brought our business to Costco instead of somewhere else when everyone is in need of business right now what time is being slow and everything being expensive they had to go to the ATM and pay fees and they had to re-ring everything up, they weren't willing to work with us at all, and they were super rude. I'm going to cancel my Costco membership and go back to Sam's Club. I also will be posting on social media and creating a TikTok, they could've said we're so sorry we've changed our policy but we will do this one time so you know next time you have to bring cash no they were just plain out rude and unprofessional.! We were passing through from San Diego heading back to NorCal. We normally will suck it and stop off the highway for gas and snacks. We decided to look for Costco and this one popped up. This Costco is smaller than the larger cities we're used to. However, we walked all around and found it very adequate. They offer all basic essentials needed to run a household. We walked all around and found our snacks and used the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean and I was thankful for that. We even picked up other essentials while we were here. Overall, we were happy with this Costco. What's not to love?!?! Costco offers bulk items for cheaper rates. Can you find some items cheaper? Of course! Especially on sale. When Costco has sales, that's hard to beat as well. We came in when it first opened. Within 30 minutes, this place was packed! Cashier lines were already forming. Thankful that the lines moved quickly! Overall, a nice pit stop for us! I'll be stopping here, again! read more

Standard Costco, my issue is with the staff. Over the last year or so I've notice the staff getting worse. Generally rude, not knowledgeable about any products and act like you're bothering them. One of the most annoying things is the fact they're constantly placing carts and boxes everywhere blocking aisles during store hours. This store is clean and well maintained. I have been shopping here for 4 years and couldn't leave the food court without giving a BIG OL' SHOUTOUT TO MIRIAM! Her customer service was superb! She's friendly, funny, kind and fast providing excellent service to starving customers including myself. My toddler had a little food accident; she saved the day and kept him from having a melt down! But they graciously and quickly looked up all the other stores in Southern California to see what the product count was for other locations. Way cool. WARNING: BEE INFESTATION AT THE DRINK DISPENSERS We visited the food area after shopping on 8/17 with our young kids and there is a scary and filthy bee infestation at the drink station. Bees were EVERYWHERE. They were crawling on the insides of the drink dispenser nozzles Why was Costco still selling drinks? Why didn't they have the area roped off? For some reason I'm always a hot mess when I come here but the staff if always so nice. I love this location. Although it's busy everything is quick. I'm almost always able to find what I need and if they don't have it they usually restock pretty quickly. There's a huge selection of meat which is why I'm a member. I get Bison for my dog which is usually 13.99/lbs and wagyu for myself which is about 9.99/lbs at other stores. At Costco it's 19.99 for 2.5lbs of bison for the same brand and 17.99 for 3 lbs of wagyu of better quality. They are always doing samples and bringing in limited specialty products so keep an eye out. I recently broke my toe and they had plenty of carts up front for me to complete my holiday shopping with. read more

I go here every other month, since they seem to have all the same food items when I would come more often. Not sure when they get new brands but it doesn't seem often as I come to just stock up on the same snacks as a month before. The prices are good if you are looking to buy in bulk. This is the place for your toiletry and home goods as you get more for you buck. There's always ppl on the floor stocking so if you need help they are around. I don't see how this Costco could get less than five stars. There are a lot of sensitive people that gave three or less star reviews because they got their feelings hurt. They just need to suck it up. The workers are always willing to help, and very helpful, they have a variety of products and services, but more importantly I love their Visa rewards program. The line to get gas goes by pretty quickly. Although they only have two pumps per line, they may need more with all the houses being built in the area. Day before holidays, and weekends can be super busy. This Costco is a little smaller than the ones in West Los Angeles. They may have less variety, I just don't notice. Member Services: This Costco probably has the worst member services I've experienced and I've been too almost all of socials. Even los Feliz and Burbank which is much busier than this location provides better service than this nearly empty establishment. I called to check stock on a hot item which I double checked in three locations (Alhambra, Los Feliz, Burbank), all saying that Santa Clarita carried the item I was looking for. So in order not to waste my time driving up from Pasadena I called in advance to check the item number. Maybe it's their phones to blame? But the person who picked up the phone kept adding a 6 in front of the stock number like what? And then when she finally repeats the number back she says it doesn't show up(LIAR ). Just tell me you don't know what the heck you are doing lmao. I trusted the other workers from the other locations who showed me the item availability and also stock availability enough to still drive my ass over there and get in touch with someone stocking items as soon as I walked in. Gave them the number and guess what, they found it and showed me where it was. So whoever manages the phone member services line is completely inept that someone on the floor is able to do your job better and faster too. Three stars because the nice employee who helped me out. This location is relatively empty compared to more centralized Costco's. And they carry some of the more rare/hot items that get eaten up pretty quick. I'm going to offer a few words as a suggestion here. I'm the last person on earth to ever feel like a victim for anything, but tonight was a bit strange. Without naming anyone or being overly specific about what happened, I just want to point out that if your employee is going to stop someone and audit every item in their cart multiple times until they figure out what's wrong, they should do the same for everyone in line. When they audited my cart a few times and found an extra item, I thought, "Good for Costco; they finally have a sharp employee up here." I gladly offered up the cash to pay for the single item that had not been charged out of 21 items. My concern, however, is with the interaction "M" had with the person immediately behind me, who was very different from me. After completing my audit and asking me to pay, the employee immediately saw the other person and, without counting (at least from what I could see), quickly marked their receipt and said, "Have a nice day." Again, I'm not one to feel like a victim, so I'm not going to suggest that that's what happened here. All I'm saying is that, in the interest of not making people feel targeted, it would be ideal to treat every shopping cart the same. read more

I went to make a Gold Star membership and Tony F. was helping me. He tried to sell me the Executive membership but I told him I just wanted to stick with the Gold Star. The moment I said that, his smile disappeared completely and his answers were extremely short with me. He told me to download the Costco app as well and once I did, he told me what I should do and then immediately started to do it himself with my phone. I would have appreciated asking permission before touching my phone. I would have appreciated if his smile didn't disappear when I told him I didn't want the more expensive membership. After shopping, I went back to the service desk to ask if there was a welcome gift for new members. When I stood in line, Tony and another employee were talking to each other and didn't help me even when they made eye contact with me. An employee working with another customer had to call out for Tony to come help me. Once he came to me, I asked my question about the welcome gift and he didn't even say the word "no" but just shook his head side to side. To be honest, I didn't care if there was no welcome gift. I was very upset and offended that his demeanor changed completely once I denied him to sell me the Executive membership. Please train Tony F. to not be so rude to his customers. read more
