I visited the Nordstrom Rack about two weeks ago, and I had a good overall experience. The prices were a bit higher in some sections, especially for branded clothing, so it may not be the best time for buying more expensive summer items. However, not everything was expensive, and there were still good deals available. I really like how organized the store is and how well everything is arranged. The staff was very helpful and professional. They assisted me with choosing shoes, helped me find the right size, and made the shopping process easier. In the end, I also bought several cosmetics, which I was happy with, and I finished my shopping very well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend this store for good service, organization, and a decent selection of items. read more

My wife wanted to stop by this Nordstrom Rack in the Valencia Promenade to look at slippers. This store has a lot of products to offer and some prices are reasonable. The shoes area are toward the back of the store, the men's department are on the left and the women are toward the right. Finding parking was fine because there are alot of parking in the Promenade. However, I was having getting Internet with T-Mobile while in the store. Customer service when we were here was great and we didn't experience any issues. read more

I don't know what it is about this store, but it always feels disheveled in comparison to the similar stores next door. Maybe it has something to do with the lighting being more dim. Maybe it's the layout of the shelves and racks. Either way sometimes I have to go in there and they usually have what I need when I do. Our go to there is shoes, I'm usually able to find shoes for my kids at reasonable prices. I don't venture to find anything else because again the store looks chaotic. read more

There is a good selection of purses, racks of dresses, and loads of shoes to look through, but although I try, I have better luck finding clothes that fit, and better purse prices at TJ Max a few doors down. read more

Accident to have a NR in the area. This location is interesting. It feels cluttered. Too many racks and not enough space for it. I didn't find anything worth buying. The shoe selection was okay. The clothes were giving older woman. Not sure, if the clothes are supposed to fit the demographic for the area but if so, this store is spot on. The staff was nice. read more

The spot to shop for all your designer and named brand goods at a discounted rate. I mean c'mon who really wants to pay full retail value when you can get a deal here! They have a selection of purses, beauty, shoes and clothes (mainly women) and some household items too. I have found some gems in this store but I really need a solid thirty minutes to shop around and look through all the racks. They have a variety of sizes and styles and I usually end up leaving with something in hand. **Also they have a beauty recycling center here aka recycle your empty containers here. It's up in front so you just walk in, drop off and leave no need to go through the checkout line. read more

Love Nordstrom's rack! They have a bunch of cute styles and outfits (some from designers) and they're at a cheaper cost! I signed up for their credit card so I can get more discounts and have the availability to shop with them online and have easy returns. The store itself is pretty well kept, clean, and not too unorganized (there's a million racks of clothes) Great for finding items to decorate the house, essentials, clothes and shoes for kids, adults, and accessories. Great selection of bags, purses, etc! Service is always fast and efficient! read more

For several years rude service from manager and some cashiers. Not a "hello" or a smile or even a "thank you " makes you feel like they are doing you a favor and you are bothering them just by shopping there. Having worked in retail most of my life at Saks, Barney's, Nordstrom, Macys, Bloomingdales, this behavior is appallin. Today at Nordstrom Rack, I purchased a top and pants made of rayon, a fabric prone to wrinkling. The cashier bundled up my shirt and casually tossed it into the bag. I politely asked her to take it out so I could fold it properly to avoid wrinkles and save time on steaming later. To my surprise, she then handed me the pants and asked, "You want to fold these too?" It reminded me of my time working in retail, where attention to detail in folding was important. The good: It is very spacious and organized inside. All of the racks are far apart and there is plenty of space to move around. I found tons of great deals here. I got 2 shirts for under $9. I saw jackets for a little over $11 and very nice brand items like Top Shop, BCBG, Max Studio, Madewell, etc. They had tons of great shoes on clearance for great prices. I fought hard not to come home with 3 pairs of shoes. There is plenty of parking here because it's located in a very large plaza. I got Quai glasses for $25 and they gave me a carrying case as well. These glasses are normally around $65 if you buy them on their website. They also have a home goods section where you can find things like decorate plant pots. The bad: Their pajama and bra/underwear section is pretty small. The men's section is much smaller than the women's and didn't have as many good deals. The interesting: This is the only place I've seen that allows you to try on clothes in the fitting room right now. I agree with another poster that this place shouldn't be affiliated with Nordstrom. The Nordstrom website clearly states the Rack takes online returns for Nordstrom.com, with no other stipulations. I went to do an online return without the original packaging and it had been purchased like 8 months prior. However, it was in mint condition and Nordstrom is known for their generous policies. The cashier gave me some word vomit and a ton of stipulations, which is probably for Rack merchandise, but shouldn't have applied to my product. She gave me an attitude when I said the main store would take it back, and that I was trying to save myself the drive. She then gave me a snide look as I was leaving. I drove directly to the main store in Canoga Park and was able to return to the product with no issues. What a waste of time to even stop at this location. With the pandemic still occurring I was wary to go to any place at all. At Nordstrom rack, it is similar to Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross and old navy. The deals here are slightly more expensive than Marshall's and Ross if you are looking for clothing. But when it comes to quality, you're really getting a bargain for the money even with slightly higher prices. The clothing are from high end vendors like: lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, etc. And other unknown brands that are high quality. We're talking target to walmart quality with target being the better quality in this case. What you find here that's cheap is Long lasting as compared to other lower end products. The place is clean and enormous inside with music. I went here because for some reason the TJ Maxx next door was closed. I didn't browse so much for the shirts and pants area, but for the shoes and underwear area. The selection was small but the quality was very good. The deals are better than Macy's, Nordstroms and JC penny. But, then again they are missing alot of other good quality brands and the prices even when reduced were not much far off from the original price tag. This store should be call "The Rack" and have no affiliation with the Nordstrom company. The service is so poor. The employees at checkout are truly miserable and are rude. No hellos or thank yous. The young person that assisted me left the security tag on my dress. She said "you could have burned it off with a lighter." I wonder if I tried that and burned myself, what would happen. read more

This place is terrible. I read in another post here that they always say No & it's true!!!! They can not help in basic everyday situations. But the worst part of the visit was, during the holidays the line was almost to the back of the store & a 96 year old handicapped woman with her walker asked for assistance bc she could not stand in line for an hour to buy two necessary bras, the Hispanic female manager told her No there is nothing she could do, except give her a chair! She was expected to sit in line? What in the world!!! We all understand & support assisting handicapped & disabled. Do better. read more

I enjoy the better quality clothes at Nordstrom Rack where the prices are lower than target sometimes. However, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. When I returned 2 sweaters without tags I was admonished by Amber M. in the Porter ranch store that she could make an exception this ONE TIME to take the items back. Lady, I know you have a system of replacing lost tags and putting the items right back on the floor to sell again. Everyone there is miserable. I don't know, Nordstrom. Pay your work force more and you'll get happier workers which will make happier customers. Do not even get me started on the fitting room attitudes. There's one older lady at the Topanga store with large glasses on who NEARLY gives customers a pat down. It's exhausting read more

The store had a lot of selection, unfortunately it was not a place that seemed to have a lot of bargains. I had shopped at Nordstrom Rack in Glendale a number of years ago and used to find some really good bargains in the men's section. When I shopped at this location there were no bargains to be had it seemed. Some may find the prices to be good given they were on a lot of designer ware, however even at that I think the prices at TJ Maxx or at Marshalls are better. Perhaps it was just on this occasion, however if you find a good deal here than great for you. I will likely not shop there in the future as I find other bargains elsewhere. I just wanted to give a shout out to the store manager this morning and the very pleasant women who was working at the front . I had to return some shoes that were mislabeled and sized incorrectly. I apologize in advance for not getting her name but I think it was adrianna . ( manager ) She was so kind , had no problem taking the shoe back and also making sure that my 10.00 Nordstrom note will be honored on my next visit . My partner did wear them for a hour so I wasn't sure I couldn't return them. It really showed me how much she valued my purchased and my business . Today was the worst service I have ever received from Nordstrom rRack. I purchased a top online and when it didn't fit I returned it. Dasia, the cashier, was just not pleasant from the beginning. After the return, I went in the store and found another top I liked. I went back to purchase and got her again. She looked like I was trying to steal the damn shirt. I asked that she look up my card, as I have done countless times before, and she told me the new policy was not to do that. I couldn't make my purchase. After leaving, I called credit services who made me aware that this in not true. They have cardless shopping as long as your ID is with you. I called the store and s.w the manager on duty, who agreed that my card could have been accessed with my ID. It was confirmed that Dasia flat out lied to me. She either didn't want to work or just didn't want to help me specifically. I think it was the latter. I told her that I will be calling corporate in the morning and putting how they treat long time clients. I think people are hiring their friends and family members at this location instead of the most qualified person. This is not what is expected at Nordstrom. It brings the reputation down drastically. read more

I am a shopper of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack- I was up in Santa Clarita and went in to peek around-you never know what you will find-You also need to be in the mood to dig and hunt-which I was that day. Generally, the service is at least average at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack- This location is the worst. I have never ever met a group of such lazy, mean and rude associates. The only person who is really nice- is the security guard and I don't believe he works for Nordstrom because he has a jacket on that states a name of a security company. One woman in particular- she generally is in the fitting room area, wearing these really bright red glasses- she is a little older- she fits the label of an old cranky lady- I asked her if she could tell me if they had another shirt in stock...and she actually schooled me and told me all the Rules of Nordstrom Rack and the things that they were not allowed to do for customers....then she dismissed me. The word NO also seems to be something that happens with their cashiers as well...my phone number is wrong for their loyalty rewards and I asked if the cashier could help me change the number-she said no we don't do that you have to call the number and change it. The store closer to me in Porter Ranch does EVERYTHING to help their guests...the word YES seems to come up a lot. Also when my phone number was incorrect at this store (because the woman in Santa Clarita refused to change it) the woman at the cash wrap asked if I wanted her to help me change the number-I declined because I was in a rush. Clearance racks were packed with an abundance of cute, cropped, crochet tops just in time for Summer, I bought every single one I found all between $10-14 ea. The women's shoe racks were packed, found a snappy pair of pink mule style Vans in my size and a strappy pair of cute heels. Helpful staff, lots of convenient parking. I'll be back! read more

Very organized during a sales event, you can find almost anything by looking across the floor. The clearances are clearly marked. Easy to find your size. I'm not sure why this location has poor reviews, but each of my many visits here have been eventful. The store is clean and service is great. There are always employees around if needed and offering help. I will say, there have been a couple times where I wasn't pleased with their selection, but that hasn't stopped me from coming back. Today's trip was awesome, they had great bargains! (I found a DVF dress for $83!!!!) Despite being a smaller Nordstrom Rack, it still has all the essentials. I feel like you need to dedicate a good hour to this place in order to really find the bargains, this isn't the type of place that you run in and out of in 15 minutes. Overall, I'm just happy that Santa Clarita has a rack in the area and I'll keep coming back when I'm in town! read more

Nordstrom's Rack is just a shady place now. I don't appreciate the fact that the women's changing rooms are now not safe places for women to try on clothes. If you're gonna force women to change next to teenage boys, at least make it where they can't slip a phone under the gap that separates the stalls. I won't be going here again. read more

Ok, so I don't do a lot of clothes shopping for myself. Once in a while, before a trip or when I need some life injected into my wardrobe, I'll go shopping. When I do, I usually come here. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes I find great clothes and deals, sometimes nothing. But I like the brands here, and the way the clothes fit. Plus, obviously you will find lower prices than you will find at regular Nordstrom's. The service is fine, I've never noticed a problem so I'm not sure what the complaints are about in the other reviews. The dressing rooms are always attended to and are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plus it's nice to have a Rack nearby because it's better and more convenient than having to drive to the Burbank Rack. All in all, I usually leave here happy, which is why I always come back. read more

I've shopped at Nordstrom many times and in many different states. I don't know if it's the after the pandemic employees but they sure aren't the same helpful people that used to be at Nordstrom. They all seem new and unhelpful when asking questions. Just terrible customer service. Seems like another department store just going down. Oh and the selection in store is just terrible. It's a fairly smaller Nordstrom rack, but considering the area, it's adequate and does seem to have a decent amount of clothing and accessory inventory. The housewares section is pretty bare however. I was able to find some things I couldn't live without and am glad to see this store finally open! read more

It is sad Santa Clarita does not have a Nordstrom. I do NOT consider Nordstrom rack a true Nordstrom. They do not always keep Nordstrom standards. Once in a while I have to go there and once in a while I can buy something great. The last two times I went there I got turned away and had to drive to Glendale Nordstrom to make a return. They make you feel like you stole something and they can't return it. I did not have a receipt but i wanted something else. Rest assured I will spend every dime at Nordstrom. I just wanted a different item or credit. It has now happened 2x. I did drive to Glendale and in 2 minutes the person in cosmetics helped me with my gift item. I really appreciated her help and now I get to purchase what I want. Going to Nordstrom rack is a hit and miss in Valencia. They often make me feel like I am trying to do something that is wrong and they are almost reprimanding me. I could do without that! read more

Not impressed. Came here for the first time & I was extremely disappointed. The store itself is in horrible condition & the customer service could use some work. I don't feel that they had much to choose from when it comes to sizes & styles. I was especially disappointed in the men's section when shopping for my boyfriend the options looked sad & outdated. The shoe department is also equally as sad & needs work. The only plus was their watch department but other than that pure disappointment. I now understand why people don't talk to highly of this location I will not be returning anytime soon. I expected more from this place. read more
