I drop by often to see what's trending and what they have in store vs online. Sign up for their credit card and app to get rewards. I order from the store for online pieces that get sent to my house with free shipping! Everything is clean, tidy; and displayed well. Tons of dressing rooms and good lighting. I loved American Eagle and shopping here! We recently stopped by and my husband bought some jeans two or so weeks ago - they didn't work out so he wanted to return them. I went this back, didn't haven't receipt but they looked it up under my name - great! So, then the Hispanic girl helping me stated she couldn't return them because they didn't have the tags and it's a new policy in July that started. She was rude explaining it and didn't even give me any other options not even store credit because the jeans just did not work out. I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS NEW POLICY. I haven't shopped here in years. I've worked in retail for almost 8 years and was an Assistant Store Manager for big companies. If a customer had no idea of this new recent policy, I'll give it a pass just once because IT DID show she recently bought the jeans, they were NEVER WORN, and I had the other tag with the size and sticker, & everything else. This girl did not even give me the time of day, I was giving her options on what we can do and stated even store credit, I don't care & she basically didn't even budge but was rude and seemed like she did not even want to be working there. Her co-worker next to her didn't even say one word and seen the whole interaction. Just plain rude. I grabbed my bagged, & I ended up saying have a good day? Like what?! Shouldn't she be the one telling me that? And she's sorry for the new policy that is in place for newer shoppers. Rude behavior and rude girl. Get a different job that doesn't require you to be around people. read more

Love shopping here, and usually have the best customer service from a very very sweet blonde lady! I wish I knew her name and I wish she was there on Sunday! Worst customer service I have ever experienced on Sunday. The cashier was absolutely disgusting in the way she spoke. When I asked who the manager was on the way out she was just as rude and disgusting. Neither should be working in customer service. I know I left a review recently but I had to go back in and once again I received the best customer service related to my needs! I received help from two of the girls on the sales floor one being Sage! what a nice employee Super accommodating! So friendly and very quick to offer items in place to what it is that we are looking for! There was "Esme" as well Esmeralda! Another gem of an employee! She too was shining bright with going out of her way to help me and my daughter just like Sage! These employees are fantastic! I want to say this... That Store Manager of yours has a heart of Gold! She is the hardiest working happiest Manager I have come to have the pleasure of meeting! It does not get any better than Heather! 5 star Top Rated! I would love for my daughter to be in a fun loving extremely caring workplace like American Eagle Outfitters! They all are loyal and look genuinely happy! The woman attending me was rude and gave a lot of attitude. She had no knowledge of in store sales and was trying to correct me on prices when it was clearly on the rack of tank tops. She has long medium brown and blonde hair. She was not receptive and communicative. She did not thank me for shopping or said have a good day. I said thank you and she did not respond by saying you're welcome or any of the sorts. Very unprofessional and should be lectured. I came shopping at the outlets and stopped in American Eagle for some new jeans. The sales floor of the store was very clean and everything out was very neat. Was greeted by a friendly associate and she was very helpful. There was a sale going on buy one pair of jeans get one free. Found a cute black pair of jeans and saw another pair in an adorable Mint color but they didn't have my size. I asked the lady who was helping if they had any in the back. She said they didn't but would order them for me and ship them to my door for free. Now that's customer service! I wish I had caught her name but I forgot. She was exceptionally helpful as went above and beyond to ensure that I left satisfied. The dressing room was full of clothes that people had tried on and tossed. Very cluttered. I place an order for a pair of jeans that were never delivered! This is now the second time this has happened to me! Their delivery service they use is Axel which the rep fir AE says they have already had many complaints of their delivery service! Now since this has been the second time by the same delivery service AE will not refund me for the jeans I never received! So now I'm just sh*t out of luck!! I even ordered these from the store bcuz they didn't have them in stock! So I wasn't looking to get a free pair of jeans! I suggest to give us the option to pick up from the store when it arrives! Nothing changes, and prices just continue to rise for less than great quality clothing. The reason I am giving it one star is because I just wanted to return an item that was less than $10, but the girl there wanted all sorts of personal info. First she asked for my name or ID. I gave my ID since I didn't want to spell it out loud in front of everyone but she kept typing for a long time. I'm pretty sure she put my address in her computer too, all without permission. Then she asks for my phone #. I said I don't give it out, but she said she needed it. Really? I asked if she could just type in 12345...etc. but she said 'no'. She handed the transaction off to someone else I'm assuming was someone higher up, who credited me the amount without my phone #. I'd understand if it was a layaway or a huge purchase like a car where they would need some personal info. But I was just returning an item that was less than $10. But no matter what the price was, I should NOT have to give out ANY personal info. This store's policy is just so ridiculous that I"m never going to shop here again. Purchase or a return should not require personal info. That is just so wrong. read more

I like the pants I get here. The clothes aren't the problem. It's the pushy "customer service" I get. If I say "no" the first time to an AE credit card, don't ask me multiple times and stop trying to convince me. It makes me very uncomfortable. I took my son to AE for the first time. We were approached by Louie (hope I spelled his name right) and was downright friendly. My son tried on some of the jeans recommended by him and it was the right fit. Even after closing time, he was patient and after apologizing for taking his and the rest of the staffs time, he made a nice gesture of saying that is what they are there for. I can't believe the experience I received and will return just because of their service. Oh I forgot to mention my son locked himself out of the dressing room and the sales girl (I didn't get her name) smiled and was nice to get him back in. If I could do no stars I would, this store hired my little sister for a seasonal job, scheduled her on Black Friday as her first day with no training, then after that never scheduled her again. I'm a frequent shopper at American Eagle and I have to say that the reason I continue to shop there is that I love the clothes for starters, I can always find something that I absolutely fall in love with that I must have also, All of the employees there always greet you with a smile and "can I help you find something"? Just this week I shopped there 3 times. once for a gift and twice for me. Im writing this review because one person in particular (heather) I feel went above and beyond to help me find what I specifically came in to get (sandals), the store did not have my size so she looked for them online and not available there either but she found them at another store (the only size 8) and now Im happy to say that Ive purchased them.
