The pharmacy staff has to lighten up! I have been going to this pharmacy for 2 years now and not once has anyone behind the pharmacy counter smiled/laughed or even said hello. They are just robots that clearly do not like their jobs and are fiesty at their customers! Today, for example, I went to pick up my prescription that was filled virtually. I had received a text saying it would be ready by noon on Monday, which was yesterday. I showed up today, Tuesday, and immediately apologized for being late a day. The woman behind the counter looked at me funny and told me that they did not have a prescription on file for me. I responded with "oh, that's interesting because I received a text message saying..." and before I could finish my statement she snapped that there must have been a glitch in the system because they don't have anything for me. She then told me that I needed to respond to their original text message asking about my prescription. I told her that I had, on Wednesday of last week, and went to show her the text message thread but she proceeded to tell me again that there must have been glitches. Glitches or you just didnt act upon my text? I asked if I needed to contact my doctor myself or if they would handle it and she just huffed and said she could do it on her end. I then asked if she could let me know when she got in contact with my doctor so I knew when a good time to pick it up would be and she snapped again saying well theres glitches in the system just call the pharmacy number in a few days and we will let you know. Mind you this is the 3rd time she has mentioned there's glitches. I also called the pharmacy number three times prior asking about my "refilled prescription" and no one answered so I am not totally confident they will answer in a few days like she mentioned. I then left with much confusion and frustration that not only did I not get my prescription but the lady didn't really help me to find out how I would go about receiving it. All and all I was just so taken back by how rude this woman was, it makes me want to transfer pharmacies. I hope that today was just another off day for her. Don't get me wrong, I understand with Covid and times like now, we are all on edge but this woman is always like this whenever I go! The worst. 0/2 on recent visits. Not helpful with finding an item. Not knowledgeable about ingredients typical of a pharmacy drugstore. I was asked if I saw an item online -- my response was "no, I'm in the store now and would like assistance finding whether you have it here." Even the pharmacists were in too much of a hurry to leave at closing they spoke to me through a nasty metal grated shutter rather than opening it up for a quick conversation. This place is a complete scam... The good: The nurse was helpful and treated my eye infection. The bad: Minute Clinic never submitted my insurance or sent me a bill. They admitted sending my account to collections by mistake but refused to allow me to pay the bill. The said I have to pay the collection agency. Worse customer service ever. I went in today to pick up a birthday card on my way to a party (so I was in a bit of a hurry). The store was empty, so I figured in and out. When I arrived at the register, the cashier, who had just finished ringing up a customer, was now on all fours looking under a display (don't ask). I stood in line, clearing my throat, hoping to get her attention. When that did not work, I went over to the self-check, not realizing it was no cash. When I finally got the cashier's attention, she spent a minute pointing at the sign that said no cash. Then she proceeded to help another customer who came in after me find something in the store. She told me to push the buzzer for someone to ring me up. I waited another minute. Finally, I left $10 for an $8.99 card. I definitely won't be going back. read more

Oh, how I miss my CVS in the Peninsula. We've been in San Ramon two months and they have had to place my prescriptions on order four times. The worst part is they never notified me. I would call to see if it was ready for pick-up, they would explain to me it was on order, and then I would get a text. If the prescription is in the system weeks ahead of time, how can they not anticipate and reorder? The worst is there is absolutely no empathy or acceptance of responsibility. It's my problem and I have to deal with it. Chronic pain stinks to begin with, so this is salt on an open wound. I never had an issue with my CVS on the Peninsula, not once in almost 20 years. We've been here two months and I've had four of the same issues. This is constructive criticism. I hope someone is listening. read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy because it's convenient, but wow I am shocked at their lack of basic customer service. I come to get my refill bc I keep getting texts from them and when I go in, and when I do they say my insurance doesn't cover the refill, interesting since I've had the same insurance and same prescription for years. I mention that it used to be fine and maybe it's because they updated the prescription in the system, and once they fix that, I'll get it next time. Instead of fixing the issue, they print out some paper and tell me to call my insurance for pick ups in the future...Which is fine, but they fail to fix the system issue which I mentioned is the case and were more defensive. Defensiveness at a pharmacy? Okay. This would even be okay to keep going because it's close, but through out the years, they have been calling the wrong doctor to fill my prescriptions and sometimes because of that I don't even get them on time! Instead of letting me know if there is an issue in advance, it's often the day of getting my prescription and their answer is "the doctor said no" okay, first you called the wrong doctor and second way to show any concern for the fact that I won't be able to get my prescription on time for a condition that I really need treatment for. I end up having to spend more time fixing their mistakes than having an easy pick up. Honestly, it makes me really sad their lack of care for someone who is looking for medicine to help their life and they'd happily kick me out with a paper in my hand rather than help me solve the issue and get my prescription. I am sad. I guess I will definitely be finding a new pharmacy even though this one is right next to where I live. I am extremely disappointed with the pharmacists and technicians here. Advice, learn to do things the right way instead of being defensive, basic customer service 101, and have a heart and compassion for others who walk in the door. No one enjoys taking medication and are other sick when they walk through the door, to shove them out for no reason when they have life saving medication they need is quite honestly, horrific. I had to come to get my fever medication. A lady named Nina or Mina said to come back in an hour. So I just waited in pain for over an hour and called to make sure it was ready. Since I had muscle fatigue, it was hard to drive back and forth. She said "oh...yeah it'll be ready in 20 minutes". I drove over and was not acknowledged for like 5 minutes, when I could tell she knew I was waiting in line since I was as coughing up a lung. It was the worst customer service I've ever received when picking up my medication. She kept getting side tracked and then pushed me away to help another customer. WORST PHARMACY EVER! If I could give this place negative stars, I would totally do it. This pharmacy is the most inefficient pharmacy I have ever been to. They NEVER have my prescription ready at the promised time. There is ALWAYS an issue requiring someone to call someone else to do something. AND, (I saw this with my own 2 eyes!) they hang up on people that have called and have been told to hold. I'm not kidding about that. I saw and heard the woman who helped me look at her blinking on hold call and say, "Eh, they've been waiting for 17 minutes, they'll call back." and picked up the phone and disconnected the caller. I walked in and there were no baskets...I asked politely and she ignored me...then a nice customer said "they are behind the counter over here"...then she rudely handed me a basket...once I checked out she asked if I wanted to updated my email and I said no, it's the same...then she rolled her eyes and said, "I said...do you want to update your email!!" Ok fine! I will...then she said "spell it out"...I said my email first (as most people do when they spell something out)...then she snapped angrily back at me (startling everyone in line!!)...and said "SPELL IT OUT!!"...everyone around just looked at me like, wow! This review is one of two that I will be writing today. The other review is for the CVS off Alcosta blvd in San Ramon. For this 24 hour pharmacy I was terribly disappointed at the service I was offered. After spending more than 10 hours in the ER I had to come to this location as there were no other CVS 24 hr pharmacies open at midnight. I was in pain and I was exhausted. I found myself in line with two other patients just released from the ER as well. The gentleman behind the counter was arguing with the first person reporting to her that her card was not working and that she did not have insurance coverage. The other family and I stood there and waited as he argued with the woman in a harsh tone before finally realizing he was inputting the information wrong and after correcting himself the insurance went through and she was able to go home, along with her 4 year old son who was tired, in pain and understandably crabby. Next the man in front of me walked up to the register only to have yet another problem. This time the pharmacy employee was pulling up the wrong name and prescription. This understandably angered the customer who told the employee to please listen to his words and carefully look at the prescription before telling him there was no prescription on file, or filling the wrong one. To this the pharmacy employee raised his voice and told the man that he was doing his best and to settle down. The man was patient with the employee and after submitting his subscription he moved to the side and let me have my turn At this point in time I had been standing in line in excess of 20 minutes. The employee checked to see if he had the prescriptions in and when he found them he told me it would be an hour wait. AN HOUR? I asked with surprise. To this I was screamed at, "Yes! I am the only one working here and I have two patients before you. It is not my fault you didn't come in sooner, you will have t wait your turn. Do you want this or NOT?!?" I was furious and in pain and I'd had it with his rudeness to all the other customers and myself. I grabbed the script from his hand and without a word exited the CVS. I noted the name of the manager of the pharmacy and the next day I wrote her a letter about the behavior of her employees. I will NEVER come to this pharmacy again. Not only was I treated with disrespect but I watched those around me treated the same way. All of us had come from the ER with acute pain and problems only looking for our medication so we could go home and sleep. We all have jobs and we all understand that he was the only one working there but it is one thing to be rude and disrespectful and it is another to be kind and understanding. I cannot imagine it would ever take an hour to fill one prescription or even three. I viewed this as his way of not wanting me to stick around so he didn have to do his job. THe following day I went to my CVS at Alcosta and the medication was filled in less than 3 minutes. Don't bother with this location, they might be 24 hours but you are better off going the next morning to a locationthat will treatyou with kindness and do their job accurately. read more

They will give excuses-manager is on vacation (can no one else order meds), they are the busiest pharmacy-go to Safeway it's better. I was in there 5 mins ago. Someone was arguing because they over charged him, the line was 7 people deep because they couldn't help anyone, and they were out of Percocet which I need for a surgery. I'm never going back to this store again. The blonde lady at the register doesn't talk nice. I noticed it when i was first paying. The 2nd time i said no tax? She said If there's no tax on the first one i'm sure no tax on the 2nd one. (Chocolate) . I didn't like the tone already. Then I went back again to purchase more m&m's chocolate to get the $2 off, she said " Don't think you're getting the $2 off again, not an informative way rather sounding bluntly. Got sent in from ER to pick up some meds. I got sent away to go to a different pharmacy since the pharmacy tech "said that she does not know how to process my medication and she's the only one who can process medications at the time". I felt really disrespected since she didn't even try to ask someone on how to process it. She said as very rude. For someone who needed immediate access to these meds d/t a workers comp injury. Don't bother having your Rx sent to them. They don't ever start working on your order until you show up asking about it. And apparently they never check their fax machine either and rarely check their messages. And when you call, don't be surprised if you're on hold for over 15 minutes. Hopefully you are healthy and young, because this place operates as if time is of no significance. That being said, if by some miracle you finally get your Rx, the staff at the counter are super nice. read more

You can find a CVS Pharmacy as frequently as a Starbucks. They are everywhere and they are all relatively the same; but I decided to write a review for this particular CVS because they are the only location that I know of in the East Bay that is open 24 hours, has a medical MinuteClinic, their Pharmacy is open for 24 hours, and they have available restrooms for their customers. There are many CVS Pharmacies that I can go to if I need to go to one of their stores, but whenever I need to shop at one after midnight, I can always rely on coming here to this location off of San Ramon Valley Blvd. read more

I dropped off disposable cameras about 2 months ago to be developed. They warned me it may take up to a month to receive my pictures back, which was fine. I'm writing this review is because I have now been trying for over a month to receive my photos. Every time I've gone in or spoke to someone over the phone they tell me to "check back next week and if they aren't here we'll call to check for you..." I'm now on week 4 of this BS and they're telling me "our photo center in the store is under construction and it will take at least 6-8 weeks." When I dropped my cameras off, I was informed they were sent out to a third-party for developing. So why would it take 6 to 8 weeks for them to deliver my photos when I dropped them off in FEBRUARY? Every conversation I've had with the manager she said would check the status for me, but I don't think there has ever been an attempt to contact said company with this ridiculous run around I've been getting the last month. Once I get my photos back(if I ever do get them back) I refuse to give this store any more business due to the staff that would rather BS a customer because they don't want to pick up a phone and help get their customers. read more

Just bought a candy bar and didn't notice until after eating it that it was almost a year expired...

A quick stop without the need for prescription drugs. I walked in for a common hair care item out of stock in both nearby Wal-Marts. They were in stock and priced less. Milk here went for $2.59 a gallon as opposed to $3.99+ in Ranch 99 next door. Large bars of Hershey's Chocolate go for $1.50 each. They are $1.25 at W-mart while $1.99 at Lucky's. Go figure. Bring your savings card, bring your coupons to take most advantage. Take this from a customer who may have been only one of five customers walking out of the CVS without a prescription filled. read more

This review is for Heather, a wonderful shift supervisor at CVS in San Ramon. I was at this store yesterday when a middle aged woman, dressed in sweats, starts shouting at the hispanic man in front of her. "You people are always trying to get coupons, you free-loaders." Complete racial slur. She goes on. The man's daughter was carrying a small pup, the lady says "You get that scoundrel-mut out of here, they sell food here, you can't have dogs in here!! Somebody get the manager, they need to get that dog out of here..." This goes on for a few minutes. Meanwhile, the shift supervisor AKA Manager on Duty, politely says, "I will be with you in a minute" (speaking to the angry lady). The woman replies, "What's your name?" like she's going to report this manager to somebody. Manager replies, "Heather, would you like my last name also?" Very professional. The hispanic gentleman and his daughter with the cute dog have now left... The woman continues yelling, not just at the manager, but to everyone in general. About the dog, and the manager, and who knows what. Finally, I decided to do something about it. I looked at her, in front of 10+ people, and said, "You need to calm down lady, just pipe-down." To which she hastily replies, "What, are you going to come at me?" "No, I'm not," I replied, calmly but with a sense of calm confidence knowing that I was saying the right thing! She continues... "Go on, come at me! Come at me, gayboy, come at me gayboy!!!" At this point all the people in the front of the store went completely silent. Nobody said anything, except for Heather, the manager on duty. "That's it, you need to leave!" Pointing to the door. She walks around from the back of her cash register, and says, "Void her transaction (speaking to the teller checking her out). Leave, and don't come back in this store!" The lady then turns and puts the unpaid merchandise in her cart and begins to walk out. To which the manager replies, "You can't take that with you!" Woman replies: "What are you gonna do, call the police? Go ahead!" This lady walks out of this store in front of now 15 people. The manager walks out to get her license plate info, this lady tries to run the manager over with her truck! The police come, they are acting like nothing big happened because she didn't steal much merchandise. I'm not gay, so that comment did not personally offend me, but it was INNAPROPRIATE. Heather was awesome! She did great! CVS should be glad to have her there as a supervisor. I will also be writing a letter to the City of San Ramon for not taking this matter more seriously and not have this lady questioned or arrested. I would also like to note that CVS does not have security. It is open 24 hours, sells liquor, has cash, and this all happened at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. I've frequented this location for close to 10 years now and it's just gotten worse and worse every year.... as someone in Customer Service the lack of urgency for the customer is quite appalling. I left the minute clinic very confused... While at first the nurse or doctor that called me in seemed friendly, she gave me lots of information all at once, none of which truly helped me. She basically said that because the person in the minute clinic often works at hospitals too, that I wouldn't get the same person if i went back to get my tb test results. She recommended ordering the tests online from a website and then using the websites locator to get the tests done at a lab. She claimed this would be cheaper. I came in this morning to exchange a shampoo my wife bought for me. At first, there were no cashiers available. One finally came and I told her I wanted to exchange the shampoo my wife bought me. She curtly asked me for a receipt. I didn't have one so she again told me curtly that I would have to show my driver's license for a store gift card. I told her I just wanted to exchange the shampoo and she told me again she had to give me a store credit. I went to the shampoo area and the only remaining medicated shampoo on the shelf happened to be the type I needed. I brought the purchase up to the same person that 'helped' me and made the purchase. She took the store credit card and said good bye. While walking out I noticed there was $1.06 that I should have been credited. I went back in and she said, "Oh it was just a few cents difference". When I told her it was over $1 she fished around a vinyl envelope and gave me the store card and walked away. She was trying to STEAL for CVS or maybe pocket the credit for herself. This was the last time I will shop at CVS! read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Every single month my son who is type 1 diabetic goes to pick up his insulin and test strips gets told he owes this huge amount of money. He doesn't have to pay anything. I seriously have had it with them. I have to have CCS call them every month to tell them how to do their jobs. Even They are tired of telling them how to do their jobs. I've just transferred all his prescriptions to another pharmacy. I can't take the stress anymore and wondering if my son is going to get his life saving medicine on time. No one can afford these by themselves. What happened to contacting the insurance to find out what's going on if you did your research and see, oh they've paid all the other months what's going on now? No, not proactive at all. Instead we find out oh prescription is ready we think yes everything is good to go. Nope!! You owe us your kidney. Done with you!!!! read more

Need a prescription filled? DONT DO IT HERE. Went in to get my monthly scheduled refill and the pharmacist said I had already picked it up. I absolutely had not, and asked for my refill as I was now one day away from running out of my daily prescription. She said she would NOT fill my prescription, claimed I picked it up a few days before, and that there were laws in place so addicts wouldn't be able to abuse prescriptions like mine.... I felt like she was accusing me of committing some kind of prescription fraud over my daily medication needed to prevent seizures. I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT GET MY PRESCRIPTION AND SHE REFUSED TO FILL IT. After being treated like a drug addict in front of a line of waiting customers,I felt humiliated and scared I wasn't going to be able to get my medicine. I headed over to the market place location, explained what had happened and they pulled up my info right away. They confirmed i had NOT picked up my scheduled refill and filled my prescription within 24 hours. Bless the sweet ladies that work at the market place location or I don't know what this month would have been like without my medicine. read more
