I have always enjoyed shopping at TJ in Danville not because I'm biased because I live here but because of the consistency on their great customer service whether is a normal day or during a pandemic. Even though I had to stand in line for a few minutes on an early Sunday morning, and at least 6 feet a part from others, I felt comfortable and safe shopping even during this most uncertain time. They're also limiting the number of people who can go in the store to allow for social distancing while shopping. Before you go in, someone will have hand sanitizer for you and the wipes for the carts are well stocked. I was able to get everything I needed for the two week grocery run. It was well stocked and employees are always willing to help. As for toilet paper, they had them but you can choose between a pack of toilet paper or paper towels but not both. I feel that's fair. They also announce if there's anyone standing in line who is over 60 years old that they don't have to stand in line. TJs is also using their own brown bags and aren't charging so you don't need to bring any of the cloth ones or other recyclable bags you may have gotten used to bringing (for now). Cashiers are wearing gloves and before you exit the store, another employee will gladly spray your hands with sanitizer and wish you a good day. Thanks TJs for making it a pleasant experience. Appreciate you keeping employees and customers safe.

Omg you have to try these!

Loved my recent trip here. Staff is really friendly and is always willing to help you find something! I came to grab some gluten free, soy free, dairy free snacks and couldn't find one of the items I was looking for. So happy with my interaction with one of the older employees. So sweet and knew exactly where the new chocolate covered rice cakes were. I tried the salt water taffy and it was so delicious! The flavors are amazing and the ingredients are even better. Overall came out with three really good snacks for $10. Not bad for good quality stuff.

3 bags of organic items for $60. Great deal

I absolutely love this TJ more than any other one that I have been to so far! They always are stocked with a ton of product and the staff are so nice and helpful! Right now they have buckets and buckets of peony flowers that are beautiful for only $7.99! The fruit and veggies always so fresh with a ton of variety! My go to spot to make charcuterie boards! Such reasonable prices cheeses , olives, and meats Must buy avocados from TJ. They are cheaper and perfect size I love their frozen meals and items such as cauliflower rice. Items such as eggs and milk are much cheaper than other super markets! Some of my favorite items: Aloe water Peach Moscato wine- MUST TRY ON A WARM DAY Cauliflower frozen rice Ricotta lemon zest rav - seasonal :( All the variety of cheeses Bruschetta in a container- just ass a tomato for that homemade feel Macaroons!!!!

    Check it out!

Came here just cause I happen to want to visit any Trade Joe's in a given town I happen to be in. Staff was friendly and polite as I expect for my favorite grocery store chain ever!!! I will add that I was impressed to see the quick check out lane for 15 items or less (I've never seen one in any other Trade Joe's, even out of state!). Since I didn't know where things were (each store has items placed differently), I had to rely on asking an employee and I was happy to see that that aspect as well, is something that doesn't change with location (quick to help). Thank you, Danville Trader Joe's!

I held off reviewing this specific store for a few years. I had a very bad experience last year and continued to give them the benefit of the doubt. I usually go to the Pleasanton store since they are much friendlier there. The employees are more genuine and more helpful than here. Honestly, they are very condescending at this location. Yes, I said it. I really do not understand why a few employees do that here. I know that Rita is the manager here and she's been okay for the most part. However, I do not know why the employees here are rude and not friendly at all. I am not exaggerating. I think what was the final straw to write a negative review was that I brought a large heavy duty plastic bag to shop and the cashier stuffed everything in it (nearly 20 items at check out). My groceries started toppling out as he pushed the cart towards me and when I barely lifted my bag, the handles broke. Little did I know that the eggs were in the middle of the bag and a couple of it cracked (noticed when I got home and unloading the groceries and it leaked). Please treat all of your customers no matter what their nationality is (yes, do I need to be more specific or was that too subtle?...especially your loyal customers) with respect and be friendly to all of them. If not, please open a store in San Ramon so I do not have to ever set foot in your Danville store again. Yes, it's really that bad.

    Thank you, Ophelia!

At 3PM I attempted to order 6 sandwiches from the deli department....the guy working there said he was out of rolls! What? Out of rolls at only 3PM? How can ANY huge supermarket run out of rolls? So, I went over to their bread department and found some rolls. He then told me he can not use rolls from their own bread dept to make sandwiches. I made it clear to him I was willing to pay extra for the rolls but he said he couldn't do it. So I went and got the store manager on duty, a nice fellow named John. John was very apologetic about having run out of rolls and he also agreed that his staff should have made my sandwiches with bread from the bread department, given they prematurely ran out of rolls. He went over and spoke to the woman behind the deli counter. She told the Manager that they never said they wouldn't make the sandwiches from alternative bread, it was just that I did not say I would be paying extra for that bread! That was not the truth. When I said to her directly you are not speaking truth to your manager and I said do not put words into my mouth, she insisted I never told the guy back there I'd pay extra for the bread! Who needs such confrontations and frustrations over sandwiches after driving 25 miles each way to buy some? I walked out. We will never be shopping at Lunardi's market again. They sure know how to apply excessive high prices to their goods while at the same time not providing any exceptional customer service! That store has some major issues with their staff and attitude problems. This is the fault of upper management not instructing their underlings what a "premium store experience" should feel like. I certainly could have gotten a more customer friendly, positive experiences from any local Dollar Store, compared to the circus I received at Lunardi's Saturday!

It's located on the borderline of Walnut Creek and Alamo-ish areas, and certainly not in an area most people would be driving by unless you live in this area since it's mostly residential here, or you're driving through Olympic locally for something in that direction that's not the downtown. First things first, it's a small place. It's a local market, so it's not going to be very large. They do have their own parking lot in the front, and there's also plenty of parking in the back as well, so that shouldn't be an issue here even though the store is small. While I've seen some people note this as a Japanese market, it is not. While they carry a small section of Japanese stuff, here, most of the things are very much a Chinese focused type of offerings, from the types of produce, to the packaged stuff here. They'll have some miscellaneous stuff like a section just for pastas and sauces in the right side of the store on a rack, they're mostly a Chinese market. If you need a comparison, they're like a mini 99 Ranch. Price wise, it's about right for this area. If you compare it to other grocery market chains it's definitely not comparable, but for a local market in this area, it's not bad. The fish is indeed on the more expensive side, but it does look pretty fresh at least so there's that. They also have some to-go sushi boxes of stuff. It's nice to see they have a variety of offerings from their sushi to-go options, albeit, not cheap but at least they did look pretty good though. The sashimi boxes looked great because the fish quality appears to be great here. The only thing again, it is a bit pricey for some of these options, so just be aware of that. Green Fish is a nice little market for this area, and certainly will have a variety of things here you may be interested in. Again, it's not a large market, so just be aware of space if they do get busy. The fish counter is literally wedged into the corner of the store, but still offers fresh seafood options for those locally to buy from (albeit a bit pricey). They have offerings of various things akin to 99 Ranch, but certainly more focused on mostly Chinese and Japanese as oppose to Ranch that offers a lot of different Asian brands too. While they have pastas and sauces and stuff, that's basically it for the non-Asian market stuff. This is very much an Asian market. I will definitely want to try out some of those takeout rolls and maybe their sashimi eventually.

The shop ladies were so super friendly and kind. They said we could try any of the balsamic vinegar flavors mixed with sparking water if we wanted to. (But I thought these were only for salads? So wrong of me!) They have a glass jug with the sample flavor of the day already mixed with water. That was the first one I tried: Cranberry Pear. Ooh!!! It was so delicious. Not what I thought it would be. It tasted like a soda without all the sugars. It was actually quite refreshing and delightful. I asked what their top 3 flavors were: - Cranberry Pear - Peach - Sicilian Lemon I decided to try Peach. She added sparking water to it. Omg! That was even more delicious. I'm pretty sure any of these flavors will be a hit. Different flavored vinegars and olive oils adorned the walls! Each flavor has a sign with its name, what they are best used for, and what they are best paired with. I wish I could try them all but I can save that for another visit. They also sell pastas, tea towels, little bowls, and other cute things to go with their products. Also found out that Maison Benoit uses their products at their bakery.
