Slow unfriendly and messy. And Slow slow slow. Invest 45 mins to pick up an RX even if you are notified it's ready. And they don't care whatsoever. CVS must be paying online sites to rate them highly... all, and I mean ALL in my experience are getting worse and worse each year. I normally have nothing but the utmost respect for anybody in the medical community Including Pharmacists However the pharmacy staff here at this CVS is absolutely terrible. Very bad attitudes. Have given my partner very tough times every single time she has went in. Not helpful at all. The lead pharmacist there, I don't know her name. I wish I did know to hold her accountable, she had like an Irish accent but that's not the point. The point is she especially is terrible. I understand the 1.5 star reviews now. When the lead pharmacist is openly discussing customer's stories--talking about "turning on the soundproof glass" when they didn't want to acknowledge an irritating customer waiting in line, making fun of the lady who said she had a bone marrow transplant, but didn't want something they'd spent time working on...I was appalled. The rest of the staff seemed to just put their heads down & work, so I'm guessing he's made the work environment toxic & miserable. Y'all know that most of us waiting there are SICK & don't feel good, right?! Highly unacceptable behavior for someone with your level of education. Badly done, sir. read more

I have always been able to ask a pharmacist any question about my prescriptions and get an intelligent and helpful answer. At the CVS in San Marcos on Wonder World Drive, it is exactly the opposite. The pharmacist there always acts like it is such a bother when I have a question. When I went yesterday to ask whether my mother (who is a customer with this CVS) should take tylenol with her cancer drug, Ibrance, the pharmacist said he had never heard of that drug. I told him it was a cancer drug and he said he didn't know anything about it and couldn't say. WHAT????? Google it. read more

I'm stumped. Both Total Woman and I don't "get" this place, and yet we can't quite identify why. I mean, it's fine. It pretty much has everything Walgreen's does, and it serves the basic purpose of a pharmacy with a glorified convenience store attached, just as they all do now. But something about CVS doesn't feel right. The layout is confusing. If I'm looking for something specific, I'll meander around the aisles for several minutes, because there appear to be several places where the item *might* be found. I hate that. In today's hyper-researched consumer environment, a national chain like CVS should have stuff laid out in a way that allows for optimal picking. Or, perhaps more likely, they do this to make you roam the store longer, so hopefully you'll see something you didn't know you needed and you come out with four items instead of one. Retailers are clever like that. (There's a reason sales racks are located in the back of clothing shops, and the dairy case is always in the rear corner of the grocery store.) Either way, we prefer Walgreen's and its own crazy layout, which may be dated and ugly, but it seems to make more sense. Plus, the store brand at CVS lacks the awesome naming convention of Walgreen's store brand. Say you need Pepto-Bismol, but you want to save a few bucks. At Walgreen's, everything has "Wal" in front of it. So you'll end up getting a bottle of "Wal-Mol." Wal-Mol! Bet you can't beat that, CVS, not even with a Wal-Stick. read more

I had a good experience at this CVS Pharmacy. The pharmacist went above and beyond to try to get my prescription transferred from Walgreens. Even though I had to wait for hours, he tried for hours to get it transferred. I appreciate the good customer service. Thank you so much for your help. I would use this Pharmacy again. read more

I am reviewing the pharmacy only. They change pharmacists often and I seldom get the the same clerk twice but I have never had a bad experience here. I have kidney disease so I am here a lot! They are very busy but always take the time to answer my questions and saved me from a bad experience when they caught that my new prescription contained a drug I am highly allergic to. read more

GO TO WALGREENS. This places pharmacy is terrible. Waited on the phone for 45 mins and got fed up and went in myself and everyone in the pharmacy section was sitting around doing nothing while my phone was still on hold. Asked them for my prescription and the guy didn't even know how to pronounce it. Ended up calling Walgreens and they got it ready for me in 5 mins. AVOID THIS CVS. read more

Pharmacy wise they are slow, unkind, and mostly try not to make eye contact with you so they don't ask questions. I get they are crazy busy. I mean they seem to not have one second to look up from there computer screens. I will go to B&J Pharmacy 5 Sec away from now on. read more

First off, this place is always busy. However that fact doesn't really contribute to my 2 star rating. I only gave it 2 stars because the last time I went in 1 pharmacist was extremely nice and tried to help me. I recently switched insurance and was waiting for a prescription to be filled. Finally when it's done they call my name and tell me that they don't have info on my new insurance even though I'd just given them all the info before I went to the pharmacy. She said I needed to call my insurance and see what they cover as far as prescriptions go. By this time I've been there for over 45 min. So I can either pay $145 for my meds or call my insurance. Unfortunately when I call my insurance they are closed. So I leave and decided to take care of everything the next day. I got all my info and try to call from work but never get a pharmacy tech on the phone because no one ever answers. I proceeded to call all day with no luck. So frustrating. read more

I spent hours creating a photo book for my sister who was moving across country. I wanted to present it to her at her going away party, after which we would not be seeing her again before the move. The photo book was ready by 11am the next day, as specified. My dad went to pick it up, but didn't know exactly what he was getting (it was supposed to be a surprise for all). When he got home with it I was HORRIFIED. There was no photo book~! They had printed out the pages (uncropped) and put them in an envelope and sold them to him! No binding, nothing~! When I called to complain they were uninterested and said I could come back and have it bound! I was supposed to give it to my sister within the hour! There was no way to drive the 30 minutes back to the location and get it bound. I will NEVER get any photos or other gifts here EVER AGAIN. read more
