I came in on a Saturday for a glucose test at the request of my doctor, and it was such a quick and painless experience! The receptionist was really nice, and the phlebotomist did a great job. There were only two staff members working, but you honestly wouldn't have known it because they were constantly calling people back for blood draws and keeping everything moving efficiently. I really appreciated how friendly and efficient everyone was! read more

I came in for blood work without an appointment and in a reasonable time. The staff was very helpful and the blood draw was painless. I'll use them again. read more

They are the training place for all newbies in the area. If you are a "hard stick", you might consider going somewhere else. Bruises to prove it. read more

I walk in and always get seen quick. The ladies at the front are always so kind. Parking is easy. i have never had an issue with anyone drawing my blood. I always feel welcomed when i come in. read more

Had to have a bunch of blood drawn at CPL Labs but need to be at work at 9 am. I got there as soon as they opened and had 4 people ahead of me. They were really fast and I got to the chair in less than 10 minutes. Santos was my Phlebotomist and he was really good! Barely felt anything when he stuck me. Since there was so much to draw, he had to use both arms and he was extra careful. Explained why he had to move to the other arm and talked and joked with me the entire time. Kept an eye on me to ensure I was not feeling funny and advised me on what to do nexr to hydrate. Santos was excellent! read more

Yep. They don't answer their phone. the recording says they don't because of heavy call volume but I doubt that at 11:45 AM. Even when I've been in early AM I never hear their phone ringing. read more

A touchpad screen to sign in that wasnt sterilized beteween uses, after a while a lady came out and " wiped at" some chairs very lightly but didnt get any of the ones people had just been sitting in. They never seem to have all your paperwork in one place and I always get stuck with a student who used to be a harpooner on a whaling boat, always a huge bruise. Only place that happens. They're close, convenient and reasonable, but not meeting covid guidelines by any means in my eye. Sterilize ALL chairs and sign in pad after each and every use. And they have a chair right at the entrance to the testing area where you have to walk within 6 inches of the person sitting there. Not good for either party. I know it's hard, but a few simple things could make it so much safer. And do not close the front door like they did while I was there, so everyone has to open with doorknob, I'm on immunosuppressants so this was a house of horrors to me read more

Come when it opens or come late. The afternoon rush is pretty bad for a place that can draw blood and get you out the door in 5 mins, with waiting times up to an hour. CPL isn't much to look at. The building could use a paint job and a powerwash. The interior probably hasn't been renovated in 20 years. So don't expect a modern, white lab. The staff, however, was friendly and made me feel at ease about the holes they were about to put in my arm. Best of all, the phlebotomist was gentle. read more

Avoid this place for a few months. They just moved to the corner of Highway 80 and IH35. This place is the definition of chaos. They only have one fax machine, the previous records collected by CPL are not here, so all insurance paperwork needs to be resubmitted, etc... It appears that this was not a smooth move to a new facility. I came in at 3pm. There were 3 people in the waiting room. It's almost 4 pm and I still haven't been seen. One of the three, can't seem to get her paperwork faxed in from her doctor, so she will be sitting here after I get out. read more

Slowest lab I've ever been to!! 50 minute wait to have blood drawn. 3 people ahead of me. They draw blood, visit for 15 minutes then call the next person. read more

I came in for blood work, sent by San Marcos Family Medicine, my primary care doctor. After I signed in, I realized I hadn't eaten that day so I went home and ate. They were super nice about it and since I had already checked in, my wait time was not long at all. In the past I've had a phobia about needles and blood, but in the last few years I've gotten over it. I told the lady (I think her name might have been Jessie?) and she was very understanding. She took my blood easily and talked me through it. I was in and out in about 10 minutes :) read more

These people never answer the phone and the location is a old building. Also, front desk does not wear a mask and you use the same CoronaVirus infected pen as everyone else. read more

The lady working the front named Jessica is extraordinarily rude! I walk in and she does not look up to acknowledge me so I continue to fill out the sign in sheet and she finally mutters "do you have your paperwork". I cannot believe this is the standard greeting! I mean I don't expect you to be a hostess or anything but a simple, "hello, what can we do for you today?"! Anyway I explain my paperwork has been faxed from my doctor's office and she continued to ignore me while I just stand there waiting for further instructions. Anyway my point is my interaction with you Jessica was about 10 minutes and somehow I left feeling compelled to leave a Yelp review! That should tell you something girl. If you don't like working quit because your attitude is piss poor. read more

I had avoided this lab based on the prior reviews, but have now been 3 times in recent months, and it has improved so much that the prior reviews seem no longer accurate. Apparently there are now 2 locations in San Marcos to split the load of customers, and this location has been completely remodeled and updated, freshly painted and newly decorated. First visit, around 3:00 pm-ish, I was in and out in 5 minutes, and there was only one customer ahead of me. Second visit, same thing at 10:00 am--one person ahead of me and I was out in 5 minutes. Today, I arrived at 9:30 and there were 6 other people ahead of me. I told them I was late for a doctor appointment, and they said they thought they could get me out before 9:50. They had the people ahead of me out by 9:40 and I was out by 9:45. They also looked at my lab slips from different doctors, saw where there was duplication, and said they could take 1 test and send the results to the 2 doctors, saving me time. The staff and phlebotomists have all been friendly, cheerful, gentle and efficient. read more

When you enter the lab front door you feel brightness and friendliness. You are greeted with a smile and asked to sign in at the front desk. Every time I have been here the wait time has been very very very short. They find a vein hit it wrap it you're on your way. No pain! No gouging , poking, sticking 5-6-7-8 times to hit a vein. They are the best. I should know I'm a nurse. I would recommend this facility for lab drawing purposes to anyone. Thanks to the staff there for making a sometimes not so pleasant experience the best they can. They are the best. They treat you with the upmost respect and have the upmost concern for your confidentiality in their lab. Thanks staff for a job well done. read more

Came to this lab for my 1 hour glucose testing and they were on top of it. Made me very comfortable and polite. The two openers were great. Thank you ladies one note if you get there earlier about 20 minutes prior to opening you don't have to wait in line. Lol thx again read more

I have always gone to THIS LOCATION, one review located on here says hwy 80 and IH35??? this is not that location. I have never waited more than 10 minutes when it was very busy and that is a full waiting room. The people here are professional, friendly, know how to draw blood without pain and listen to you when you talk... years of going here with no complaint.. read more

I have been using this lab for several years with mixed results (some good, some not) until my most recent visit on Aug 9, 2012. I went into the lab to do some fasting blood work for three different doctors. The waiting room was very crowded as I had expected for early morning. Upon looking at the list, I was informed that there were approximately 12 people ahead of me in line. The receptionist called me back up to the desk and I was informed that she would have to call one of the doctors offices to verify a specific order but that I would NOT lose my place in line. This proved to be very incorrect as I was then passed over several times and about seven or eight others who came in later were put ahead of me. I finally questioned the receptionist who informed me that one of my orders had not been yet verified but I would be next in line. WRONG! Three more people went ahead of me. Finally, I was called in and the technician drawing blood was extremely rude and then the lab screwed up my orders for each of the doctors. Needless to say, it will be a cold day in hell before I return to this lab! I would strongly recommend that those who have a choice look elsewhere for a more accommodating pathology lab. read more

Don't waste our time! RUDE people! And the manager...HUGE JERK!!!

there is an employee at the front desk that is so rude and argumentative that i am looking for another cpl in kyle to take my handicapped husband to. she makes no attempt to solve a problem and gets nasty if you dont agree with her. she not only has done this to me but to others when they come in. i have been there when she has treated others the same snotty way. she is not a people person and should never be in this position. since there is not a way to get my husband in the place, why was i told to go to the emergency room at the hospital?. this isn't an emergency and it is the responsibility of this cpl and shopping center to make this ada compliant. i can't imagine what others have to do to get blood drawn.especially other handicapped and elderly clients. is this the attitude of the owners? don't they care? if they dont get out of the business. read more
