I talked with the Manager about my experience, and his response was they close promptly at 6:00PM. After using Walgreens as my pharmacy for over 40 years, I am now looking for a new pharmacy. The value that Walgreens once provided is no longer there. Tonight my wife goes without medicine, because the Customer is no longer a priority. Looking on GoodRX, I see the HEB pharmacy next door and Walmart down the street both have my wife's medication 30% cheaper. Tomorrow I will make my last visit to Walgreens to pickup my wife's prescription. Life is too short to be using a business that no longer values you as a customer.

I like the Kyle location because it is on my way to/from work and has a drive through. I called the HEB in Kyle and asked what I could do since there is not delivery from Kyle to San Marcos. The pharmacist was so pleasant and did the process while I was on the phone with him. Then I called the San Marcos HEB and the pharmacist assisted me with prioritizing which meds I needed urgently and which meds I could pick up the next day or so. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there 30 minutes later to find that all my meds were filled. This was truly service over and beyond. I appreciate both pharmacists being so pleasant and considerate.

I was resigned to paying it. The very pleasant woman, Kady, at the cash register, suggested I try the card anyway and sent me over to speak to Lori. Lori was cheerful and helpful. I was instantly impressed because she was walking away from the register when I walked over but turned right around and came over to help me. I explained that the insurance wasn't going to cover it but she suggested we give it a try anyway. It turns out the insurance did cover it and I ended up paying $4 for it! If it hadn't been for these two friendly, helpful women, I never would have known and I would have been stuck paying $245 a month for eye drops.
