A birthday card, new bra, some yogurt, peanut butter, garden planter so very random stuff, right. Anyways lots nice to go where it's a one stop shop. Went to self-check with friendly employee help you when you scan an item twice. So great service. The over all ticket was less than $80 so not too bad in terms of price. read more

Neutral in review. Customer service could be better. Each employee we've encounter seem annoyed/bothered when asking for assistance. Isles are mostly stocked but only when shopping mid week. Jordan might be the most openly customer-averse employee I've ever dealt with at any Target. He acted like interacting with shoppers is a personal offense, and he doesn't bother hiding it. His attitude is so blatant it's uncomfortable. When I approached him for help, he stared at me like I had ruined his entire shift just by speaking to him. No greeting, no acknowledgment beyond an annoyed look. He gave a half-hearted point in a vague direction, didn't say a single actual word of guidance, and walked off immediately like helping customers was the last thing he intended to do. And it wasn't just me.. I watched him ignore other customers, avoid eye contact, and walk away from people mid-question. It was painfully clear he does not want to be there and has zero interest in doing even the bare minimum of customer service. If he dislikes people that much, he shouldn't be on the sales floor. Target is usually reliable for having helpful, welcoming staff, but Jordan's attitude was so unprofessional that it dragged down the entire shopping experience. They have great products, especially if you're looking for organic and cruelty free. Do NOT order online and pay with Affirm. I had screenshots of the item I bought, the amount I paid, the credit card that was used, and the order number. That was not enough for them to do a return. That's insane and I have never had a problem like that with Amazon, or with Walmart, who I hate supporting But I will probably buy more from them now because it is such a problem to do returns. It turns out that the product receipt was sent to my junk mail, which I did not check. If I had not been able to find that they would not have done the return which is just poor customer service. When I leave a place thinking "I should have gone to PetsMart," something has gone wrong. The wrong here was the selection of pet beds. The floofy edged beds didn't have removable/flippable inserts (easier on my washing machine + temperature options) and the folding pad (med crate size, fleece on one side) I chose was a competitive $30. I would have checked out human fleece blankets if the budget was strict, but I am helping someone's dog board locally for a week-long trip and know old bones feel the cold. Squeak plush toys are bargain priced and made in China. The only other thing on my shopping list was sour cream--I'm in a nacho rut and ran short--which was of course completely out in every single option they carry. Which totals one small fridge shelf. I started looking around and decided the incredible selection of frozen pizzas (many refrig units) and microscopic fresh fruit display suggests their primary market is local students, which is understandable. I wandered a few aisles before deciding the majority of families with kids must be visiting the big B and WalMart. Bonus points for so many eVOL options, especially meatless (and my sincere thanks to the students who drive this trend!!!). I picked up three as my consolation prize and I doubt they'll survive long enough to see the work fridge. Bonus: my cashier was friendlier than I have come to expect here! While I lament the loss of the old Target closer to downtown San Marcos, I have to say this Target is an improvement for the city. It's also great to have a mass-merchandiser competing with the MalWart. You lose one star because you were supposed to be a Super Target originally and downscaled. You lost the bakery and produce sections of your grocery in the process, and that's not a good thing in a city with only three other grocers. But in general, you bring higher quality merchandise presented more attractively than the Batesville bumpkin to the north. I'd be here more often, but you're not on my flight path. Huge disparity at ALL Target stores... Look at all the men's clothing pictures, and then just browse all of the styles... You're conclusion??? Yesterday, I'm shopping for a long sleeve button down shirt for worK. Now, I'm in my mid 50's and about 6' and 240. Not your super thin man. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But, all of the men's clothing were obviously styled AND sized for thin men. They have great photos as display and good looking men. I'm just not one of them NOR do I wear a "slim" size in anything. All I could find in all different types of shirts were marked "Slim". Everywhere, all you could find was "Slim" size clothes. Then if you look at the colors and choices, you'll agree this store is for thin men. Again, not that there is anything wrong with that. It's their audience... no problem. But let's not advertise, your store is for all. Anything but!! Unless, you're a slim man. See my point. Please don't misunderstand my message... this has nothing too do about being slim. I happen to like Target in a gently overpriced way. My wife loves Target. See why I shop there? Sad that this big of a chain caters to one audience and advertises like its for all. I actually enjoy this store. But, as the anchor in the shopping center they inhabit, why hasn't Target stepped up to get the giant pothole fixed which exists at the entrance to their shopping center? Their name is the top on the sign at Stone Creek Crossing, but who would want to be on such a sign when immediately below it is a pothole large enough to swallow a small car. Shame on you Target! My daughter attends college in San Marcos, TX. She went to Target and purchased a new laptop and the Microsoft products to download. the Microsoft comes on a card that you get an activation code. She tried to download it, but it would never activate. The person at the Target store said bring it in, this happens all the time. She got there and they said this is considered a gift card and they could not refund her money and did not offer to replace it. Customer service and Corporate HQ was contacted and they also said they could not help us. Microsoft told me I had to deal with the store. Poor customer service. My college student lost her $70. Today I was followed by a store employee and again was approached at self checkout before leaving the store. I purchased a large bag of Pedigree Small Breed Dog Food. When I was approached at the self checkout, the employee counted my items out loud in by cart and gave a thorough look of my dog food. She asked if I had opened the dog food bag. Really?! She continued to scan the bag and I asked what she was doing. She replied, "I am looking for a barcode". I told her it was on the backside, bottom left hand corner. I had bought this same bag a thousand times the last 15 years for my dog. A very uncomfortable feeling since it was obvious she thought I was shoplifting by counting my items and checking my dog food and pretending to look for a barcode. Why was she concerned with a barcode? Why did she have to count my items out loud? Why was she not social distancing? As a disabled veteran of color, I have never taken anything or thought of taking something that is not mine or haven't bought. I called the San Marcos Target Saturday and asked if they had a grey stripped twin comforter by Magnolia Hearth and Hand. I was told they had one twin and 3 full comforters. When I got there an hour later, that is how far away I live, they did not have any comforters at all by that brand. The person who helped me in the store said "really sorry". I think it was the same person I spoke with on the phone. He was apologetic but he wasted 2 hours of my time. They need to have a better system if someone calls in. read more

They redirected her to the Kyle, TX store and they were out of stock. She came ONE HOUR North and the Cedar Park, TX store had them, but would not honor the $10.00 coupon. Ever been college student? Although Target has been nationally promoting ordering online for in-store pick up, San Marcos Target is not prepared to fill these orders. In spite of getting an order confirmation, an email explaining that the order was being prepped, and an order status that said it was ready for pick up, the manager said he hadn't even seen the order and then claimed it was canceled. He reassured that he had one of the items in stock, but then said he had somehow been mistaken. This store needs to work out its problems with in-store pick up. You've been warned! read more

THIS TARGET IS RIDICULOUS. I recently purchased a princess Lea onesie that was mismarked as a small when in fact it was an extra small. I called target to see if I could exchange it for a different one. When they told me they had a medium chewbacca onesie I asked them to put it on hold for the next day, which they agreed. However when I arrived the next day they had put it back on the floor because it didn't have a date to be on hold for, even though myself and this target specifically agreed for that day. The cashier Caitlyn was extremely rude and disrespectful and when I couldn't find another chewbacca onesie in my size, cause obviously everybody wants one, she only offered me store credit. Do not shop at this target and if you decide to go near that awful store do not check out with Caitlyn. read more

Went in on 10/11/16 to exchange some clothing and from the time we entered the store, no one was over friendly at all. The 2 at the customer service counter weren't all that either, I asked to exchange and she just returned. I just figured, ok, I'll go somewhere else. Then the real fun began. My Husband walked over to the food court counter to order an Icee and the boy (around 20ish) just ignored him. I mean, straight up ignored!! As I walked up the boy went to the back and hadn't even said anything, not even "Be right with you." nothing!! So, my Husband decides forget this and turns to leave, just as a young woman that works there walks by and seeing our confusion, asks if she can help, I tell her, he just walked away and we wanted to order something, is there someone that can help us? So she leans over the counter and starts calling his name "Chris", when he sees her he smiles and says hey (at least we know he CAN talk) and then walks up to me and says "What?" I said "Excuse me? Where is your manager?" Which he response with "She's not here." I say "well, what is her name?" No response. I said "No problem I will get it. " Look at my Husband, ask if he still wants something and he does and now so does my 10yr old daughter and so I order a medium and small Icee. He basically throws my change back at me and I say "You are the rudest Target employee I have ever come across!" and he says "Well, you are the rudest customer I have ever met, SCREW YOU!!!" I turn around to look at my children and Husband and see that all in the front of the store has heard this, as they are all staring as I am, in shock and the young lady from earlier, who is helping some customers check out says "What is going on??" and I say "He just told me to go screw myself!!!!, I want a manager NOW!!!. She looks over at a young man (No one in this store is looking older than 25, if they are that old) and says she wants a manager, well it turns out that he wasn't the manager, it was the other young man just standing there chatting it up with yet another young employee and they all look over and keep talking!!! I'm like, Hi, need a manager here? and so he (Alex) comes over and is like, "Oh, I'm so sorry this happened (heard everything and didn't bother to come help or anything), I'll talk to him about this." I'm pretty upset at this point and still in shock and I tell him, "No, that won't work, I want numbers and names of where I need to take this, as a slap on the wrist from his buddy isn't going to cut it." So, with a slight grin he goes over to the customer service counter (what a joke that name is) and I can see him talking, smiling to another young lady while writing down a number. No names. I called the number and filed a complaint about what happened and all involved and even the woman on the phone was shocked!! I won't be going back to this store, IF I go back to Target at all. read more

I come to this target all the time and have never really had an issue, but I went here because they had a deal on 3DS games (buy 2 get 3rd free) but they also had them cheaper online. So the guy in electronics told me I could get them price matched and get my deal. Go back up to the guest services and they tell me not only will they only price match only 1 game, but that they won't give me the in store (AND online) deal. Seriously get yalls damn stories straight! So I can buy the same shit online with better prices but god forbid you do the same in store. read more

I went to make a return and buy some plain gift boxes, but I couldn't find any that weren't too expensive. Although, the return was quick and easy and I did end up buying a few items. Every single time you check out the employee urges you to save $ on your purchase by signing up for their credit card known as the red card. Well if you don't want another credit card don't do it. It honestly would be worth it to go to the Target in New Braunfels or Kyle instead of this one. This disorganization that this store allows is unbelievable. I went to go look for some summer sandals. There were boxes strewn everywhere, the majority of shoe boxes were empty on the shelves. The ones that did have shoes were 50/50 on having the right pair (in style or size). It was so frustrating to have to shop in an environment that was so chaotic and disorganized. I've worked at Target previously and it's embarrassing that management would let it get so out of hand. read more
