I been a loyal CVS pharmacy customer since 2009 and I've been to many different locations. I been at this location since 2017. I used to always pick up my medication in store. There are lines, I get it, that's normal. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly. They would remember your name or little things about you. It really makes the experience as wonderful as it can be. When I came to this location, they said why don't you use text notification. I listened and signed up. Then they asked why don't you use the app? I signed up. Then they said you must be good with tech (I'm guessing it's because I'm much younger compared to their usual clientele) why don't you use mobile order so when you come you can just go to the mobile order window and pick up. Hey it saves me AND them time, why not!!! Everything is fine and dandy until COVID. Due to my low immune system, I switched the delivery. I started going back into the store about 6-7 months ago...The experience is really lacking to say the least. So far I only have to pick up 1 med, so I only go once a month. Every time I go...I get told different things. No, there's only 1 line. No, you have to come all the way up to the mobile order counter OR no please stand back. Whatever it may be...at least they were doing it in a very friendly tone. They would apologize and laugh about it. TODAY for whatever reason the young, petite Asian lady was VERY rude. I was waiting by the mobile order and when she passed me twice she did not look at me or acknowledge or ask me to wait a few more minutes like previous staff has in the past. After she called up 3rd customer I decided to speak up and ask if anyone was coming. She didn't say anything and just gave me her index finger gesturing me to wait. After she was done she asked me what I wanted. "What do you want?" WHAT KINDA OF QUESTION IS THAT?? I want my medication of course. She said "oh you were waiting in the wrong place, the line is here" and she pointed at the regular line. I told her I'm using mobile order, she said nothing. She went to get my meds and I told her every time I get told something different. She again had no reply. Then I said if you guys don't want to use that window, you should put something to cover it up. She rolled her eyes and just kept ignoring me. Saying sorry or saying I will let someone know IS THE BASIC RULE in customer service. I don't know what changed or she doesn't know the procedure or lack in procedure. But usually if the line is long and they can't come work at the mobile order line, they call for a back up. Which is usually the asian gentlemen in blue scrubs or the pharmacists in white lab coat. I came to the pharmacy here to get my prescription transferred over since I would be in the area all day. The lady (average height, long blonde hair, on the heavier side) was so rude and had an attitude. She helped me out and gave me an estimated wait time but she was just so rude. I asked her how long would it take? Do I need to authorize something? She responded with "idk like 20 minutes I guess. You can sit and wait" as she brushed her hair back and rolled her eyes. So rude and I'm not here for this. Don't work here if you're unhappy? It's honestly that simple. Photos here were usually great. I don't know what's changed but something has because I've been using CVS photos for four years on the hill. I check on my order via phone and it's not ready. The estimated time was 10am for pick up. When I get to CVS, a guy tells me the photo person comes in at 2pm. And this guy says I can give it a try which makes me question CVS employee training because I do not want bad quality gifts. This is the closest CVS to my house so naturally I will tend to go here for prescription refills, vitamins, etc. I have never spent more time on hold than I have for this business in the last two weeks. It takes over 30 mins to get someone on the phone here. I understand businesses are busy but you reach a point where the excuse no longer carries weight. If they are short staffed, hire people. If it's "because of COVID" that excuse has run its course. I will likely being doing my business elsewhere due to these recent experiences. read more

Worst pharmacy have ever seen in my life. I stopped coming here for years for that reason and came back today and remembered why I hadn't. Nothing had changed. The people who work there seem to have no more than an elementary school education. Today's delightful example was this woman who moved with the speed of a sloth and couldn't seem to find my prescription. After eight minutes of looking she finally understood someone's help who went to the bin she started with -where it was supposed to be- and found it immediately. I spent nearly 20 minutes in this place for something that should've taken less than three total. Absolute nightmare. Staff has zero clue how to triage the more important patients (ie those with pneumonia needing their inhaler/antibiotics filled) from those who are whining about derm meds being covered. They leave everyone in one line, whether weak from their illness and about to keel over or perfectly healthy, and could give a damn who's suffering. The ethics of CVS as a corporation are questionable are best to begin with, and being forced to use them in an emergency is a guaranteed disaster. The whole place can bite me. read more

Takes forever to checkout and they give a long speech when they hand a receipt. The store is nice though.

The service and availability of medications in the Pharmacy is one of the worst! If you have another alternative take it!! The doctors do not like to send prescriptions to the CVS Pharmacy because they do not stock the inventory, delays in filling prescriptions and lost prescriptions. read more

Even with the CVS RX app, doesn't make the service any faster. It takes forever to get your RX from this place. Even with all the people working in there, they could not get my RX for over 30 minutes today. The drop off guy spent forever with one customer. Hire more people CVS and keep the lines moving at the Pharmacy. This is crappy wait time for customers. Today they couldn't even find one of the meds. Get it together CVS. There is 1 person at the pharmacy in drop off and 1 in pickup. There are 20 people in each line!!! It's winter and everyone is sick, duh....step it up. So I wait in the pickup line forever, no problem. I have been here before and my Dr submitted the prescription a few hours ago. The pharmacy here sucks period! They are slow, unaccomadating and not knowledgable. I pick up a prescription there on Friday and used it once. It spilled all over the bag and wen I went to take it back they would not give me a new one without going to a hospital or urgent care on Saturday....... Needless to say I went to another pharmacy and they were very helpful, got me a new prescription while I waited within 20 minutes.....now that is customer service! read more

So today was the last straw. I can't believe the issues that I have been having with this pharmacy since I moved to the area in November. I had a heart attack, so stress is not a good thing for me, in 2010 and have been getting my medication to control my heart filled by CVS since then. I have moved from Whittier to Pleasanton to Walnut Creek and have had great experiences working with those stores, but once I moved to Rolling Hills all that changed. I first tried to move my prescriptions from Walnut Creek to Rolling Hills and when that happened, this CVS would not take them because they had to be renewed from the old CVS. I contacted Walnut Creek store and they said that the Rolling Hills store could have taken care of it, but they would so there would not be any back and forth. Once they did get it renewed, the next month the meds were not ready because they did not get the renewal. I have been having issues with them not filling meds in time and prescriptions going expired without notifying me or my doctor. Issues I never had other CVS branches. The final issue was when I tried to pick up meds for my 6 year old, They had them, but could not give them to me because the pharmacist was on a break and it was a new prescriptions. Now, I did not ask for a consult, as I have experience with both meds, but they still could not give it to me until the pharmacist was back. As a parent of 4 kids going through a lot, 10 minutes is something I do not have, so I left and will have to try and pick up the new meds for my sick child so other time. What if she was in pain? Would she still have to wait 10 minutes. Really? I'm sorry to say, but this store has me moving over to online pharmacies. Such bad customer service and it is due to management's policies at the store. read more

WORST PHARMACY! BAD SERVICE..Troll RUDE guy Jason at pick up line and takes a long time to fill RX for pick up. When you call for status, they tell you your RX almost ready in 30 minutes, 2 hours later, they will you the same answer. RUDE, RUDE guy at pick up counter with attitude who acts like you are violating his all day lunch time by walking up to the counter. Hope this location closed down and replaced by a pharm chain that hires better qualified pharm staff. read more

The worst! I've tried them three times now. Every experience has been awful--long, long wait time. Just now I was second in line and it still took 20 minutes to even drop off the prescription, only to be told they cannot fill it until two days later. I have never had an issue like this with any Walgreen's. Unfortunately, my insurance charges more if I don't use CVS. I'll pay extra. read more

Vicodin, oxy codeine, etc is a very common prescription. Surgery, wisdom teeth, etc. They "don't stock narcotics". I understand limiting to theft. Stocking out is a complete failure. Choices are limited in PV. Went to Rite Aid. Cvs in PV, never again. Don't expect to stop by on your way home to pick up a prescription because they won't have it in stock. The worst pharmacy and pharmacists ever! They mixed the wrong amount of antibiotic for my son which is very dangerous!( I made the necessary reports and complaints to the correct agencies). They have repeatedly messed up my prescription loosing my Doctors fax number and landline leaving me to have to call them and go there and waste hours of my time. A great, clean drugstore for all of your sundries/toilitries needs. Pharmacy provides good service. I miss the customer service at Longs Drugs (the lines here tend to be long, and they don't do watch batteries), but I am happy with this as our local drugstore. Generally good prices. read more

Sometimes I have a difficult time keeping track of several prescriptions, and they never seem to need refilling at the same time or be in stock. Also, I am sometimes in need of a prescription that takes a little to long to get. And the lengthy lines!!! But today I want to give Michelle, the pharmacist a big THANK YOU for dealing with an insurance problem in a professional, pleasant, caring way. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR FLU SHOT. I had a 10:30am appt for a flu shot and didn't get out of there until 11:15am. First, there was a mix-up with my insurance. Then, I had to wait 15 minutes for my labels to print. While I was waiting, I watched the staff tell customers that they had no more flu shots for walk-ins, yet they answered the phone telling people that they did have the flu shot. I also overheard them discuss how they were unsure of how many of each shot they had in the fridge, and how one staff member thought they were out of the shot but found one in the fridge and so just threw it in MY basket. My confidence in the process was so low that I almost walked out. Then, I watched them take another 10 minutes to sort through paperwork with a couple who came in after me! They only had 1 pharmacist available to administer flu shots on a Saturday. I could have and should have been in and out in less than 20 minutes, but because of this broken and most inefficient process, I was inside with increased exposure for 45 minutes. I am most grateful for the service they offer; however, they are not equipped to actually PROVIDE the service. Just not a smart set up for everyone's safety. Wow! I cannot say enough positive things about Cynthia! What extraordinary guest service she provides every single time I visit the Rolling Hills store. She never misses a beat personally greeting every guest that enters the store regardless how busy she is. She is ALWAYS upbeat and friendly and she is ALWAYS helpful based on her vast knowledge of this store. Today she impressed me EVEN MORE. I observed an encounter Cynthia had with a challenging guest. She was calm and professional making every attempt to diffuse the situation and remedy the problem. My relief went to disappointment when, after a long period, a female supervisor stepped in. Cynthia explained the situation to the supervisor with the guest present and the supervisor offered no help, instead going to another register and ringing another guest. Cynthia continued speaking to the guest and eventually remedied the situation. CONGRATULATIONS CVS! You have a gem in your store. I stopped going to this location as they tell you an hour, and 2 hours later the meds are still not ready. Today they said it would take na hour & they would text me. 2 1/2 hour later, still no text, however when I called they said it was ready & that my phone was not working. I have a phone that gets texts from countries all over the world weekly and this is the first time that a US text is not able to come thru. I am never going back...they are far too busy and very short staffed. read more

WORST pharmacy ever! The staff are rude and they never have enough people working. There is always a huge line to pick up prescriptions and don't you dare try to call the pharmacy to speak to the pharmacist as you will be on hold for at least 30 minutes. Oh and the best part...wait for it...if you turn in multiple prescriptions and need them filled right away, there is a 50% + chance they will lose the prescription. How does this happen and why has it happened to me multiple times? Totally incompetent and unprofessional!!! This entire CVS, to include the store, is horrible. The people who work there always make it a terrible experience. Where do they get these people? Even the Manager - don't get me started about the Manager. This is the 2nd time i have had a bad experience with Jason at the pharmacy. I had forgotten all about him until today. He greeted me the same as last time as very uninterested, no smile and like a machine. My insurance needed updating so he told me to sit down and wait. Excuse me? Ordering me to sit down. After 15 minutes I went to the drop off counter and asked another person if my order was processing. She said oh I just got it. Jason didn't tell me you were waiting. Wow really Jason? That is customer service 101. After 10 more minutes I have to check out with Jason who says nothing of the wait and acts like business as usual checking me out like a machine. A 5 minute transaction took me almost 30 minutes of my precious time. CVS, if you have given Jason a job because you think he is qualified, think again. He does not have the people skills for that line of work. I have had 2 bad customer service problems with him. I doubt those were one offs. read more

Wow! The lines are too long and the customer service is horrible! The woman checking people out was so rude to the man in front of me that was an older gentleman, so he was a little more slow than a 20 year old, it actually insulted me. I felt so bad for this man! She was rude to me too, but did not actually speak to me at all so it wasn't as bad as that man. I will never go in there again. read more

CVS Pharmacy provided the WORST experience I ever had to get medication. After two weeks they never could fill my Rx for insulin and only called me the day before I went to Walgreens who had no problem providing me the insulin. CVS pharmacy manager and counter girl (J) said the doctor didn't complete the Medicare B form correctly. So I drove to the doctors office to tell them the form was wrong and incomplete. When I looked at the Medicare form it is signed by the "Supplier Attestation" meaning CVS Pharmacy. EVERYTHING CVS pharmacy did was WRONG and blamed the doctor and Medicare when it was CVS pharmacy that completes and sends the form. Although it's just walking distance to my home I will NEVER go there for my Rx. My wife occasionally goes there for other stuff because of coupons but she said they expire quickly. Go somewhere else, this store is run poorly and is not not like its predecessor Longs Drugs. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. After calling in a prescription, going in person to further explain to the girl at the pharmacy counter, and numerous follow up calls, still no one seemed to have the correct doctor or prescription information. Two weeks later, I'm still trying to get the prescription filled. Luckily, it's not for a terminal condition, or I wouldn't be around to write this review. They automatically refill your prescriptions ( I guess so they can maximize their sales), but when you really need something, it's a real hassle to get it filled. And it doesn't matter what time you pick up your prescription, there's always a 15-minute line. They keep building new stores, so I'm assuming their lack of customer service hasn't hurt them. Their prices on regular products are much higher than , so I don't shop there for anything else. Unfortunately, CVS is my medical plan's vendor for prescriptions, or I'd go elsewhere. read more
