This CVS Pharmacy experience was bad, really bad. After being rear ended in a car accident, I was rocked. I was in pain and my neck was crazy stiff and shoulder was hurting. I could not lay down comfortably nor sleep. So when the awesome Dr Cho at Haven Urgent Care took such good care of me and prescribed 2 medications via this adjacent CVS, I showed up after the 45 minutes to a horror show. The other reviews about the totally mean spirited and just stupid Pharmacy Manager Hien Nguyen are spot on and dead on balls accurate( " My Cousin Vinny"). I was next in line and had been waiting 11 minutes when Ms Nguyen smiled and vigorously waved to the lady behind me and said " Come on up". I figured maybe a quick hello but she went on to tell her friend about her pregnancy and just about everything under the sun - 27 minutes. Ms Nguyen would look over at me every 3-4 minutes but .. nothing! Not a word not be right with you.. not sorry I did this...! Finally another lady came up to help and things went further south. I showed her my id with my birth date and also offered my SS number so she could quickly look up my DOD benefits card. She just declined and said " No, can't do this." Go sit on that chair( no please) and we will call you. Please note this was maybe 47 minutes waiting in line and I was in excruciating pain... Finally after another 12 minutes, I just got up and left. I did take a photo of these two ladies. I did tell the Store Manager who seemed to have dealt with these complaints prior...I called CVS customer care the next day. They took the details and apologized. I just did a 5 star review for a CVS in New Hyde Park, Long Island NY. This was at the other end of the spectrum. My advice - find a different pharmacy other than the CVS on Haven just north of Foothill Blvd. read more

Unfriendly staff and Restrooms inexplicably closed 2 hours before closing? This place stinks. Wouldn't come here if I didn't have to.

Most times I've been here to pick-up a random gift for someone VERY last minute or searching for medicine or travel size toiletries. I prefer shopping here or online versus Target close by because the lines are much shorter. Most of the time I uses self check-out and it's a quick in and out process. They are located off Haven in the Terra Vista shopping center next to Papa Johns and Bruster's Ice Cream. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel it's important to share my recent experience at this CVS Pharmacy due to the behavior of the pharmacy manager, Heeum. Unfortunately, I witnessed Heeum treat patients -- including myself -- with a level of disrespect that was completely uncalled for. Her demeanor was dismissive, unprofessional, and at times, outright hostile. She even contradicted other pharmacists who were genuinely trying to help, creating confusion and frustration instead of solutions. What's even more concerning is how her actions bordered on discriminatory behavior. Instead of providing compassionate care, she seemed more focused on exerting control and shutting down communication. This is not the kind of treatment anyone should receive -- especially at a pharmacy where people are often already dealing with stress or health issues. CVS, please take note. Patients deserve to be treated with empathy and respect. I hope this review prompts the management to look into how this pharmacy is being run and make the necessary changes!! read more

I made a purchase today at the Rancho Cucamonga store #9724 at approximately 11:01 a.m. Unfortunately, the item I purchased was incorrect. I returned to the store just a few minutes later with my receipt to request an exchange. Because I had used ExtraBucks and digital coupons for the purchase, I was informed that I would lose them if I proceeded with the exchange. I asked if I could speak with a manager, and the employee stated that he was the manager. He also told me that the store's manager, Lydia, would not be in and that I should return when she was available. I was disappointed that no effort was made to offer a solution or assist me with resolving the issue. A situation like this could have been handled with more care and customer service. I hope the store reviews its policies and approach to ensure better support for customers in the future. read more

I have had it with this pharmacy! Then they wonder why a patient is yelling g on the other side of the phone call! They don't tell you anything when a prescription is due for refills! I just don't only take care of myself, I also manage my husbands medical needs and medications. They have 1 job and they are too lazy to do it! I am on important medication for myself, yet they just don't care! I have to go and break a small pill like Armour thyroid in half which breaks apart, just because they fail to do their job! I need to go back and take all my prescriptions away from them! I will also be calling my insurance provider. read more

First, I want to say that the negative review and caution I am about to share do not apply to the pharmacy staff. I have had only very positive interactions with the pharmacy staff, manager, etc. In fact, the manager once saved us from a major interaction risk because a (former) doctor did not catch it when issuing the prescription. EVERYONE in the pharmacy is professional, polite, and kind. But then. . . the front store. I am going to get to the point. There are a couple of prominent front store staff who are RACIST. They engage in blatant profiling, especially of African Americans. I have witnessed it a few times, most especially twice in the past month. The first was when two Black youngsters came in, presumably after school, and the front employee IMMEDIATELY hit the "Associates, Scan All Aisles" recording. Another employee approached, and they had a brief conversation, which led to the second employee being dispatched to follow the youngsters. At one point, she reported back that they were "hiding out" in the stationery aisle. (The line was very long, so I got to witness all of this b.s.) She ended by saying, "Oh, and we're supposed to have a holiday for them on Monday? Ha!" (It was the weekend before MLK, Jr. Day.) The best part was that a lady who was waiting in line with me turned out to be the boys' mother. She handled the front staff like a queen, and I left before the scolding and comeuppance really started, hopeful that the two employees might learn something. Nope. I was there yesterday, and as I walked in, I hear the "Associates, Scan All Aisles," recording. One of the (same as last time) associates almost ran into me, as she was heading to the cosmetics section. We had to stop to not collide, and I jokingly said, "I just got here! I didn't do it!" I do not think she even heard me, as she was bounding over the very first cosmetic aisle. I had to go that way to get to the pharmacy, so I watched as she stood at the end of the aisle, blatantly staring at a young African American woman who was looking at cosmetic sponges. (Oh, how dare she look at sponges! *sarcasm*) I made a point of raising a questioning eyebrow to the associate as I walked to the pharmacy area, and she stepped away briefly. Then, the same associate who had been the "spy" part of the whole scene on MLK, Jr. weekend came up, and asked the first associate, "Is that her?" To which the first associate said, "Not sure, but she looks close enough that we better watch her." REALLY? REALLY?! Because CVS almost always sends you those "How did we do?" surveys via email after you shop there, kind of like a desperate date, I did in fact take the opportunity to report the whole first scenario from January. I got an auto reply from Corporate, then nothing. For now, I will keep my family's prescriptions there, as the pharmacy staff is so very different (as in, professional and smart) from the front store staff, but I will not be buying anything in the front store anymore. read more

If you like scoring deals, CVS is the place to be! I mainly drop in for personal care items, which are a bit pricy, but with the rewards program and digital coupons you can score all kinds of deals. At this particular CVS, it's a little on the disorganized side and certain items may be wiped out depending on the deals going on. But really, it's worth it when you spend $1.82 on a $10 face wash. ATTENTION CVS " PHARMIST " HIEN NGUYEN"....This place is so DISGUISTING!! I had my Psychiatrist switch my medication pick-up over to this address since Rite Aid Closed..They treat you like Dirt of r a drug addict. For example I had my medication switched over to them off of Haven Ave. in Rancho Cucamonga. I was only allowed some of my medication which is ok as my other meds weren't ready to refill.. Today I get a text saying my Ambien for sleep is ready..I get into a RUUUUUDE Argument with the "management" "Supervisor" over my phone with a wittness I had my speaker phone...She said the "F" word to me and then said she would Not give me my sleep meds...I drove down there and asked to speak to the Managing Pharmacist witch turned out to be the same person on the phone I spoke with earlier..She raised her voice at me in front of my witness that heard her call me the "F" word and Denied it all happened and then said she "I refuse to give you your medication for yelling at me Plus I smell Alcohol on your breath".. I've been sober since 2014 of October, plus My Uncle was there that I drove us too...Tell me how you call me the "F" word, with a wittness on speaker phone, then tell me from a 3 Foot counter between us that you smell Alcohol on me..lol lol HER NAME IS "Pharmacist" Hien Nguyen..And if people think I'm just leaving it here well I'm NOT, Next is The Better Business Bureau, then Yelp, then I just asked ChatGp."how to file a Complaint against a Pharmacist that calls you the "F" word and then refuses to give you your medication if you don't kiss her butt" Soooo I'm just beginning and will keep you updated after I File A Complaint Against the board of Pharcist and review board..Until then I really think this is a place to AVOID especially after Rite-Aid closed..If you decide to go there then Please Pray you don't get "Pharmacist" Hien Nguyen as she will expect you to Honor Her and if not she withholds your medication.. read more

This CVS is a nightmare. No one ever seems to know how to process a gift card, and the only reason I ever visit here is to pick-up a prescription (pharmacy is EXCELLENT; this review is purely about the retail side) or grab a greeting card and gift card. I went this past Saturday for two greeting cards and one gift card. There was a person actually at the register! This is shocking by itself, because if you have the audacity to visit during a weekday, you will often be left standing at the checkout stand waiting for someone to help you for an ungodly amount of time. I've actually called them from my cell phone INSIDE THE STORE to ask if someone can come to the register. So this Saturday, the clerk processes my cards and the gift card (Outback, $50). He can't get the swipe card to work, so he scans the pre-printed barcode on the card holder instead. Sure, okay. Except that after processing my payment (card, not cash), he can't activate the card. He calls his manager, Stephanie. Stephanie can't activate the card. She spends a lot of time explaining to me that she can't activate the card. The line behind me has formed and cleared a couple of times by now, I have a birthday cake melting in my truck, so I ask for a refund of the $50. For the card I paid for that I haven't even touched at this point, that isn't activated. She tells me that they normally need to call 888-CVS or something something to resolve this. I'm staring at her. She's staring at me. So I ask, what do we need to do here to make me whole; can you please just refund me my $50 from the till? "No, we can't do that, those are digital funds. I'm not going to lose my job over $50." "So do you expect me to leave here having spent $50 that I have no product for?" "No, of course not." She makes me check my bank statement to confirm the charge was processed; it was. Again, I ask how I can be made whole. She says she needs to make a call then walks into the office with the damn gift card and leaves me for 10 more minutes. Cake melting. Another sales associate approaches me, likely wanting to ask me to move away from the register of purgatory, but I ask her instead to check on Stephanie. She has to do so twice (and I have to explain that I am being detained and will escalate this situation to corporate if it isn't resolved soon) before she finally lets me know it will be FIFTEEN MORE MINUTES. Now, I'm not typically a complaining/corporate type of person. But as this is the third time this location has been INCAPABLE of processing gift cards they sell (I've only tried four times. I had a unicorn experience once where it wasn't a problem), and my 5-minute stop was over 20 minutes, I was feeling about as cooperative as they were. Which was not at all. Stephanie finally emerges from the office, still on the phone, not addressing me at all, and is seemingly getting instructions on how to activate this card. Right across the register from me. It's not working. She hangs up. I again explain that I have been there over 20 minutes at this point, she again tells me she's not going to lose her job for $50. Apparently she wasn't on the call with 888-CVS or whatever, but instead, the store manager-manager (she was just the manager working then, I guess). That person calls her back as she's again providing top-notch customer service, and she finally reaches into the till to FINALLY give me cash while repeating, "He's giving in... ", like I'm extorting my own damn money from this place. I've had two other similar experiences but none where I was expected to stay in the darn store just to get a refund for something I never even took ownership of. As far as I'm concerned, they had the card, they had the transaction record, it was THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to reclaim the funds; not mine. But they disagree. Avoid this CVS -- you'll get lucky if you get "help", and the help won't be helpful. read more

Visited the local CVS since it's generally my go-to for last minute items. I was able to pick up the essentials as usual and always a huge fan of being able to take advantage of my coupons. I was hoping to find more Claire's accessories as do many of the other locations I've visited have carried but sadly found just a few items. However, I was able to score a lucky find on a holiday headband for my daughter and was able to apply a coupon to it. read more

DISCRIMATION EXISTS...CLEARLY. THIS IS THE BEST PHARMACY HANDS DOWN, the front of the store has alwys not been the best. Today, is the worst of it. So I picked up my bi-weekly meds as I have done for the last 10 years, and checked out wonderfully at the pharmacy which resulted in a 1 mile long receipt of coupons. I decided to use the rarely used coupons. I selected my items and went up front to cash out. 2 ladies were using the Self Check-Out services and ONLY me in the "Stand in Line for Register". The Cashier Rep "Alex" was focused on replacing paper in another machine purposely not making contact with my eyes. So I stood there. Then, another man walks up with wine and he stands behind me as well. Alex, the store rep says "Ma'am you can use the "Self Help register". I said, "I would prefer not, I'd prefer a person instead". Blatantly, he then asked me "why", and I politely said "because it's my preference to use a person. He then said, "well it's gonna be a while because I have this and other things to do because I am the only one in the store". I said, "okay I'll wait". There was a very nice man behind me said, "so do I wait in line too since I have alcohol"? Alex the store rep said, "no you don't have to wait, I'll check you out but she had a choice to use the Self Register or not, so you can come up and Ill take care of you". I said, "oh no sir, you will NOT take someone else behind me and I have been first in this line". Alexx replied, "Well he has alcohol and you don't so he has to check out at the register". He then asked me again frustrated "Then why won't you use Self check out"? I replied, "because I am selecting not to, i dont like to and i would prefer a live persom check out". Suddenly and to my surprise since he said he was the only person working the store, another representative walked by and the man behind me says, "excuse would you mind checking her out and then me"? She replied, I sure can, no problem. Alex, never changed his position. He refused to help me because I selected that I didn't want to use the Self Help, I had coupons, and I didn't want to go through learning how to scan them BUT he insisted that I did and turned his back completely not ever turning around. I said in my mind...what did he say?... I am busy doing this, and I then I have other tasks before I can get to you. Then, dropped it all to help the man in back of me before me. Kinda wishing I used this CVS for my regular prescriptions, but it's not as convenient to my house as our current location. Stop trying to force customers to use your lousy self checkout machine. Every time I come here the lady (who seems to be the only cashier working no matter which day I come in- does this woman ever get a day off?) ushers me over to the self checkout and insists upon having me pay that way instead of the cash register. Today I told her in a stern voice "I need cash back. That's why we need to use the cash register!" Sorry if that offended her but there are some things that simply cannot be done via their self-checkout station. The last time I was here, she made me use the machine and it froze up on me mid-transaction. I'm going to stop coming to this store and stick with Walgreens if you guys don't cut it out. read more

It's just getting worse every year. Now they hardly have medicine and if it never comes in on an order they don't tell you. If they have the medicine in Chino, they dont make arrangements to have it delivered. They tell you to tell what pharmacy you changing to call and they'll give your list of medications. Thankfully, the small family owned pharmacies call them for you as they know call to talk is a joke. And there is NOTHING as unprofessional and rude as when they answer the phone and put you on hold and don't even say hello. Lastly, unlike other pharmacies, if your medication costs less than your copays, they charge the copays! read more

The absolute worst pharmacy you could get your medications from. Stores have been audited and given terrible scores for cleanliness and other things revolving prescriptions. If you need to talk to a pharmacist ever good luck. If you are lucky and make it through the voicemail maze you're likely only to get an answering machine. I would recommend filling your prescriptions with your local drug dealer before going here. Because they likely do not have your meds in stock anyway. read more

This place is a joke. Every single time I come here there's no cashier and a line of 4-7 people. When an employee does finally come to the register they push and push you to do self check out even though their self check out is usually broken or needs assistance. It makes no sense! Maybe I don't want to do self check out because I don't work there nor am I getting any discount for doing their job. Maybe I have alcohol and need to use the cashier to show ID. Maybe I don't have a debit or credit card and would like cash back. Maybe instead of standing there watching people try to use self check out, an employee could get behind a register and help guest that way... I'm done coming here. read more

A few of the front staff (not the pharmacy staff) over the past several visits have some sort of disdain for their job and seem annoyed when asked simple questions, like where something is or if they carry masks.
