I recently transferred my prescriptions to this cvs and it's been a nightmare everytime I come here. The wait is always more than an hour. They are always short staffed!!!!! My all-time least favorite pharmacy. Had to join Yelp just to post this review on them. I have used this pharmacy three times and each time I have been disappointed with their service and professionalism and have received attitude galore from the attendants. Just went there for the last time and was told that "the system does not accept my card and they need a new card" even though my PPO card was just placed into service four months ago and works at every neighboring pharmacy. The only reason I went there in the first place is it is right next door to the urgent care that we go to on occasion. The unapologetic attitude from the lady behind the counter who put no effort whatsoever into figuring out a solution was more than I could stand. Suggest everyone read all the other comments below and take heed accordingly. As for me, I transferred my Rex to Rite Aid and had them call me within 10 minutes that true same prescription was ready. I had a great experience at this pharmacy. This was the 6th pharmacy I called looking for a hard to find medication and they had it. They filled it quickly, no line when I went to pick up and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I revised my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars because today I went to pick up some medication for my dog and a clerk who probably should not be working in the pharmacy, was whispering loudly to the pharmacist about why I would get this medication and um yes I could hear her. Then she told me the medicine was $649.50. Over the phone I was quoted as $64.95 as obviously someone would have to be really desperate to pay over $600 for a 30 day supply of pills for a dog. Yet the dog is very sick so I was distraught and they were laughing at the type of medicine and my shock of the price, only it wasn't funny to me. read more

Why is there usually a fairly decent line even with 2 check stands open? It's because they have what you want plain and simple. Spacious, logically organized store that is usually very clean and has friendly staff. Haven't used the pharmacy but for over the counter type of stuff, you'll end up here anyway when Rite Aid and others don't have that for which you're looking. read more

I don't have much issues with the cvs it may be that I don't go to the pharmacy. When I did go by the pharmacy there was a long line at least 8 people waiting in line. You know the routine when you are trying to get a prescription filled. Those who do not have very good pharmacy insurance will get what they pay for. So cheap insurance means pharmacies like cvs and walgreens. Spend a little more and you may be able to go else where. The staff always greets you and there is no line at check out. This cvs is a dre compared to some of the ones in Los Angeles where the cvs and walgreens are filthy. read more

Goodness the trouble I caused here as a kid. How did anyone out up with me? CVS is great. I'm here weekly, usually late. It's always there when I need it. Whether it's a late night craving or a last minute toiletry, CVS has my back. I actually love the butt load of coupons I get when I leave. I actually keep mine and use them later. Extra bucks for the win! The staff here are super helpful from the pharmacy, to photo center, and the registers. There are a handful or employees who really make me smile and brighten up my day. Pharmacist and pharmacy staff are EXTREMELY RUDE!! AVOID at all costs if you can. I called to ask about a medication and I didn't get their name but an employee with a very heavy Asian accent told me that they do not discuss medications over the phone. I have called many other CVS pharmacy's before and have never had an issue asking about medication. This man treated me as if I was a drug addict. The meds were for my husband who has cancer! And when I went to the actual store, the staff made me wait so long at the drop off window that I decided to just leave. Before I describe my experience at this location I must say that I was impressed with the pharmacist named Annie. She really went above and beyond to help facilitate the entire process. Other than my positive experience with her everything else was absolutely horrible. There was total chaos in the pharmacy area. Granted they were busy, but it wasn't being run properly. I Dropped off a prescription, they were going to text me when it was ready. They left me a message saying call the pharmacy. I called them, after being on hold for a few minutes they hung up on me. So I called them again and this time I got an answer. They said it was ready. I returned to the pharmacy to go pick up my medication and the lady ringing up the medication says that i owe close to $90. And I know that prescriptions are covered under the insurance. She says we don't have your insurance info. I say that's not possible because I handed all 3 cards to Claris, the pharmacy tech who took my prescription. She asks me if I want to go ahead and pay for it and I told her no, I want you to run it again to make sure that the prescription coverage is correct. So they send me back to drop off to stand in line to speak to a technician again. The lady, Claris, who originally help me says I left you a message. I tell her that in her message she just told me to call them back and when I called back they said it was ready. She says yes yes exactly. And that's when the other technician steps in and says well the insurance didn't go through. Then they had to transfer me over to another section for a consultation to have the pharmacist named Annie help me. Annie multitasked and problem solved. She made sure that it got processed correctly. Then she asked me to go to the middle counter. As I stepped up to the counter and handed my ID & credit card to the lady to ring me up, another pharmacist says that it's going to be a few minutes. So the lady that I was supposed to pay with says step to the right. So I step aside and as I am waiting there she calls up another customer. That's when the pharmacist yells from the back and tells me to go a few steps back for privacy reasons. This was very embarrassing as there were other patients standing in line waiting to be helped. At this point I felt like a ping pong going from one place to the next. I just went as far away as I could n sat down. Then the pharmacist said it was ready, so I stood back in line again until it was my turn. I picked up my meds, and paid less than $10 as compared to almost $90 which they were going to charge me. From this point they sent me back to consultation so that the pharmacist can explain to me how to use the medication. I must say she did a great job. She was definitely multitasking the whole time I was there. While she was on hold on the phone she consulted me about the medication and had me on my way. I was irritated because instead of each person doing their job & handling their responsibilities, I was bounced around. There was no apology for the lack of responsibility or the length of time it took for them to solve the issue. It was very unprofessional. UPDATE: to show you how unorganized this location is I have to share this information with you. So TWO days after i picked up my medications, I get a text notification letting me know that my prescription is ready. I couldn't stop laughing at the irony of it. read more

The CVS cashiers are generally nice, the lines aren't usually very long, if there is any. However, the PHARMACY here is TERRIBLE!! I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect begins, but it is obvious almost every single time I come here for anything. I've had all kinds of problems with them over the years. From them not contacting a doctor's office like they stated and notated that they would ~ because they HAD to in order to clarify the prescription...and I had to babysit the whole process along for them since I was sick and -HELLOOO- needed it! read more

Don't know why this location had so many bad reviews. Every time I walked into this cvs, I'm always greeted by the most friendly staff. The pharmacy is very busy, however, they always acknowledge and apologize for the wait time. Last time I went in, they were so apologetic about my pick up time being five minutes later than it should've been. I have no problem with that (it's only 5 min). The fact that they were so apologetic about a 5 minute delay it known that they take customer service seriously. Other pharmacies made me wait hours. I recently switched to Walgreens bc they had cheaper prices, but every time I went there, my prescription wasn't ready until 3 hours! Needless to say I switched back to CVS. Both the staff and the pharmaceutical staff are by far the friendliest and hard working working people I've ever experienced at any CVS. Don't listen to the negative reviews. read more

There are always changes that are possible. However....... This is a 24 hour store that almost always has what you need via your MD or prescriber and f not, they do the very best to fix it. Since Sav-On is no longer there, that telephone announcing call holding is annoying, but the staff which will tell you when your order will be ready if you ask. During a particular sad time this past year, I was actually very thankful for the patience the staff had. They are very knowledgeable.... BUT THE lines can be long ULTRA LONG or very short.... Definite best 24 hour option and do not forget your savings card! PS THey do not call MDs for you, but yours can call in and then you will have more time. The Pharmacy staff are rude, uncaring and incompetent. I avoid going to this pharmacy like the plague. Unfortunately, they happen to be the only game in town for some meds. I have NEVER been into the store to pick up a medication where i wasn't made to wait at least 25 minutes. Keep in mind that I have never gone in with LESS than 2 hours between the time the MD called the script in and when I come to get it. this is unprofessional, unacceptable and I think the mafia running that show needs to be fired and replaced with kind faces and understanding people...who speak ENGLISh when they complain about your aggravation to their family members...I mean, "colleagues." My 2 year old daughter just sat at the house for 2 hours waiting for her breathing treatment because they hadn't gotten around to checking the faxed in scripts form 3 hours ago! BS! Worse customer service I had experienced,they had agitated pharmacist working in there, they have the prescription in their pharmacy she is telling me to go and look at the over the counter medications I will find it there and I walked out going to GNC looking for my prescription they didn't have it takes 30 min of my time I went back I'm telling her I bought it before from CVS pharmacy, she is telling me oh you know we have it , just have your doctor to tell us how often do you need to take it!? Really you are telling me I need to go and get it from over the counter meds and sending me out, and now you changed your mind and you have it?! This is not a customer service. This is hands down the WORST PHARMACY I have ever been to! There is always at least a 45 min wait just to drop off or pick up...if you need to do both you're looking at a 2 hr ordeal. Every time I'm in there some customer flies off the handle because they are tired of waiting in line just to hear "they pharmacy doesn't have the medication" or "it will be just a few more minutes." This may not be Cvs' problem but 2/3 of the time there is some issue and the person who just waited in line and waisted 40-50 min of their day cannot fill the prescription for some reason or another. I wish someone higher up within Cvs would visit this pharmacy and experience the agony that the customers deal with on a daily basis. The pharmacy always appears disorganized. There has never been a time that I've gone there that they haven't had to hunt around for my prescription. The lines are long and the service is slow while they look for everything. It's a very messy operation with bags of medications everywhere. It's a wonder they can find anything. If ever a place screamed out for process improvement (and faster counter service) it's here. Unfortunately the CVS Montrose location is my local CVS location. I browse the CVS weekly ad for deals in addition to my coupons. I enjoy the extra bucks:) The cashiers are incompetent, rude, miserable hags that need to retire and stop harassing me. Before scanning my coupons, the cashier reads the entire coupon repetitively trying to find a problem with the coupon. Without asking to speak with a manager regarding my $.25 off coupon my situation is broadcasted over the intercom. After ten minutes a manager finally approaches the check stand to embarrass me further in front of the long line standing behind me. If you are the only customer in line with no coupons at any CVS your approximate wait time is still at least twenty minutes. The CVS managers are disrespectful and talk down to customers. I questioned a CVS manager in regards to if I buy one of the buy two to receive the sale price deal do I still pay the original price or do I pay the sale price and the response I received was "why can't you just buy both?" read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. My son had a horrible ear infection. Our doctor was on hold for 45 minutes and never could get through. It took me 25 minutes to get a live person... who then informed me nobody had called anything in. I would never ever use this place. Ended up driving to Arcadia... 20 min away. They tell me my medication will be ready in one hour, I ask them if they will call me they say oh no it will be ready then. I come back two hours later and it's not ready. I have my scripts filled at this cvs because they are 24 hours. Unfortunately, their pharmacy service is terrible. There are frequently long lines. They have botched my meds multiple times. I have to autoinject meds weekly. The meds must be kept within a specific temperature range. I have been on this medication for months & they routinely screw up the refills. I dropped off a refill script. The tech had no idea what the med was. She asked the pharmacist and the removed a box from the fridge which they set out on the counter and then walk away from it. As I said, the meds are temperature sensitive. They questioned me about dosage when it is a fixed dose med. I repeatedly had to explain I need 4 autoinjectors (2 boxes). The tech goes back to typing on the computer. All the while, the meds are sitting out warming up. I call this to the attention of the tech & she rudely dismissed me & said that is how they fill the scripts. She continued to leave the box sitting there warming up. This explains a lot. Initially, I responded great to this med but after a couple months had a major relapse. I strongly suspect that those meds had been mishandled as I was witnessing with the current meds. To top it all off, they filled the order incorrectly giving me syringes instead of autoinjectors. I refused the syringes. They have to special order the autoinjectors. At this point I am past due for my dose & feeling worse. This is the last straw. I will no longer use this or any cvs. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. The lines are long the wait is always always long. My experience is that they never can find my insurance in their computer. They say I need a prescription card. My insurance company says there is not prescription card. Then she says I can't read your insurance number. OK then how do you know that it's not covered?????? Back and forth with this pharmacy. I then said how much is the medication with no insurance. She looks at me $11.99 ok seriously your couldn't have just told me that. Then I give them my discount card again she says I can't read the number. I read it to her oh hahaha I just can't see. What the heck are you working behind the counter taking people's prescription and you can't see. What if she mixed the medication or gave me the wrong kind. She says ok it's going to be $6.99. My review about this pharmacy is mixed. They have the best team of pharmacists, who are knowledgeable, hard working and kind. If I have to rate the staff it will be more than five stars. It's simply that they are understaffed, which is the upper management's fault and not the poor pharmacysts', who are unfairly overworked. Therefore, you have to always wait long in line. Wow. Talk about rude. Zoya was the epitome of a horrible customer service professional. On Christmas Day I ran out of diapers for my baby. Thankfully CVS was open, granting them the one star. When I approached the counter I told the cashier "Merry Christmas". Zoya replied with "Thanks. I guess". Immediately I could tell something was off and there was something wrong with this individual. I asked if she had a piece of tape (for a separate package I had with a bow falling off). She indicated she had some at the next register but the gal was on the phone. There was a HUGE line. I saw the tape so I grabbed it, not wanting to hold up the line. Zola replied ," Ugh Oh my god don't grab that!". Seriously??? What I did was not a big deal at all. I hand her the tape and she continues to grumble under her breath shaking her head right in front of me!! I felt so disrespected. She continued to chastise me, like she should be able to treat me like that. People like this make you want to avoid going to a place like that. Now, I am a doctor in a mental health profession. I don't aim to harm. What my aim is, is that her boss will talk to her about how she behaves with customers and gets her attitude in check when at work. Merry Christmas ha! read more

CVS pharmacy cashier at the counter collected around $2700-$4000 about 5 years ago, I can't remember the exact amount.....because I was so upset i lost my money couldn't think about it, from me for a money gram transfer and didn't check the id of the person receiving the money on the other end too whom they were transferring it too for me, it was lost or stolen and when I wen't too the sheriffs department they told me too blame it on moneygram.
