A regular Mobil gas station. I mainly come here to get gas and I've never had any issues. I've never been inside the store so can't comment on that. I only come here since I have wal-mart + and I get $0.10 discount. I can do all my transactions through the app so I never had to interact with any person working here so maybe that's why I've never had any issues. If you do need to transact using cash or physical credit card, perhaps you should avoid based on recent reviews. read more

This place deserves ZERO rating. This morning. After trying to pump gas, the pump locked my credit card inside and I wasn't able to either pump gas or retrieve my card. I asked cashier guy for help and he said he never seen an issue like that and will talk to supervisor. At this point it's been 15-20 minutes. Supervisor never came out to see how they can fix THEIR pump issue and give me back my card. This entire time I am waiting around with my 4 year old, and they had zero sense of urgency or expressing apology for the inconvenience. After I finally faced the "supervisor" I lost my patience she proceeded to blame my four year old child for touching the pump and walked off on me while talking. After that she said I can get out of there. Keep in mind nobody even tried to figure out the issue and give me back my property. I even tried to use another pump with another card while waiting and the supervisor said I cannot do that because she reset that pump as well as my original one. After an hour of arguing back and forth I was told they can't perform magic and they are trying to see what's going on and I can leave, while my credit card still in their pump. I was not once been told sorry or advise what are they doing to resolve the issue, no eye contact, no acknowledgment whatsoever. I left my card their in the pump and drove off to another near by gas station. No legitimate business should ever have such issue and if it does happen due to technical malfunction, their should be clear communication with the customer instead of blowing them off and then telling them they can leave when confronted. Absolute garbage of a business, and so called "supervisor" should never been given such title. read more

Never going here again. I went to this gas station and went to pump gas when the truck ahead of me was finished. I put my card in and the screen was frozen. So I swiped again and it prompt me to pick the type of gas. I then started to pump. I proceeded to go grab a few items from inside while my car was being filled. After I checked out, I went back to my car and removed the gas hose from my car and was waiting for my receipt. Then one of the employees, the short one, there were 2 at that time, was coming at me and saying that I wasn't suppose to pump my gas there. That was for someone else. It wasn't my gas. I was confused. No one else was waiting for that pump when I first arrived. I said "excuse me, I swiped my card". He said no that I wasn't suppose to use that gas. You have to pay. I proceeded to tell him I swiped my card and asked did it not go thru? I didn't understand what the hell he was talking about. I said of course I'll pay if my card didn't go thru but how was I able to get gas? I went in and I asked can I see the receipt to make sure I'm not being charged twice. He said it was paid for by cash. I then realized someone probably paid for gas and he activated my pump number instead of the one the guy paid cash for. Or the guy gave the wrong number. I asked him if that's what happened. He just kept saying it wasn't my gas. Like I was trying to steal someone's gas. He could have just said sorry there was a mistake instead of treating me like I was some kind of criminal in front of everyone. He then proceeded to charge me 20.00 when only 19.40 of gas was put in my tank. The employees need to be taught how to interact with customers. I'm not sure how this guy even got hired. He doesn't look or act like he knows what he's doing. read more

So given that I work pretty much around the corner and within walking distance from this place, I thought I'd have to go ahead and give this place a review. I've only had one problem with this place, and that's that they seem to close this place down a lot whether it be because the gas man is filling the tanks up or their systems go down a lot there. I dont know what it is. I do have to say though, for those mid-day cravings for Funyns, 99 cent soda (no matter what size) or for that chocolate craving for those womanly days, Verdugo Mobil is always there for me and has never failed. I do wish though that they'd have more of a 7 Eleven selection with sandwiches and slurpees, you know, that kinda stuff. They have very friendly staff too, after a while they get to know you if you come around often and you sort of feel like one of the Mobil family. They're all pretty darn spiffy here, especially the lady manager. They also are pretty competitive with the Shell gas station by my place on Pacific and seem to seesaw with them for best gas price. read more

Great gas station. I haven't read through to see why other people dislike this place, but I can tell you it's one of the most popular gas stations in the area. This Mobil is pretty conveniently located, and has the lowest prices day after day, in comparison to nearby gas stations. Probably the only downside is the popularity of this place. During peak hours, you can expect to wait for a pump, but that's because they've got great prices! Although ARCO in La Canada usually has gas for a few cents cheaper per gallon, that price is a cash-only figure, so you have to take that into consideration. read more

I like this gas station because it is close to me and I hope this report will be taken to heart and matters fixed so I can continue to use you. I pulled up to pump #9 at around 8:15am this morning (8/28/21). I had trouble inserting my debit card - felt like there was something impeding the smooth inserting of the card. I tried a few times and eventually resigned to having to go inside to pay. I waited my turn and paid for $35 worth of gas; went back to the car and started pumping. After $3, it stopped. There was a guy loitering around who tried to help me - he started pushing buttons on the pump when I hadn't asked him to intervene. PLUS - he had a lit cigarette in his hand! I realized he was not affiliated with the gas station when he started rambling about helping someone who gave him a $10 tip. I politely asked him to move on. There was another customer nearby who voiced a similar problem with pumping his gas. (and when I told my husband later, he said he'd had a similar problem). I went back inside and was told that the transaction was complete and I would be re-credited the unused balance. And asked if I wanted to pay again - I said no. I was discouraged with how things were going and running behind. Sorry to say that I did have to stop at another gas station and had no problems with my card or pumping the gas. In and out of there is a couple of minutes without having to go inside to pay. Sounds like you might need to service your pumps. I hope you do - I'd like to continue using you. Thanks. read more

This is the Nacho Nark here, and this review is really about the Circle K that is the siamese twin of this Mobil outlet. The gas station here sucks too, but that's another story - overpriced and in bad repair lately if you must know. I came in to try the nachos, to see how they fare against the standard competition. With gas station/convenience store nachos, you usually find them sold in kit form, one price covers all. Next to the electric hot cheese and chili dispenser, you will see a gleaming stainless steel rack, tiers of black or red polystyrene trays with matching snap-on clear lids, arranged in a hierarchy of various sizes to suit your particular temporal impulse of nacho lust, each containing a corresponding packet of specialized round corn chips in sealed cellophane bags. Well, as per SNOP (Standard Nacho Operating Procedure), I opened the lid on one of the medium-sized offerings and pulled open its interior sachet of chips. It is prudent to smell the contents first for excess rancidity before proceeding with the nacho-building process. Well, to be fair, the chips seemed to be within acceptable lipid oxidation parameters, so I began to dispense the cheese sauce. Blurp, splorp, glop . . . not a steady stream, usually indicative that the nipple sack of cheese sauce inside is empty. (I know because I have watched the process of replacement numerous times.) After a brief staring contest, he proceeded to inform me that it didn't matter because it would take some time for the new bag to be ready anyway. I asked how long that would be. He replied that it would be roughly a half-hour. Unbelievable. There is a golden yellow flag on the field here. I let gravity slam down the tray on the counter and stated, "Well, call the cops if you want to, but I'm not paying for these." That was fine with him! I immediately scuttled off to the 7-11 embedded in the Unocal 76 station up on Foothill (an excellent destination for said delicacies and my steadfast standby), wondering why I ever strayed from terra cognita. One more comment: the Slush Puppies here are disgusting. Nothing compares with a light frosty Icee (Red cherry flavor compliments hot nachos nicely!), assuming the machine is functioning to spec. read more

Five stars because I never have a perfect day without jonny. I've only seen him a little down once. I honestly don't know his real voice because he's always joking around and using accents. Don't worry, this doesn't mean he's a goofball who wastes people's time and holds up a line while chatting with customers. Although I still haven't won the lottery, every time he wishes me luck in some weird way and tells me something along the lines of how he can't wait to see my on kcal9 the next day. Honestly if I hit the big bucks I'm repaying him in some way. He's one awesome guy and makes the most of his job. Louis is another boss here. I remember him from my skate rat days when I would drive him crazy over at Burger King. I don't know how he could forget me, but maybe he has. I like to think he just doesn't hold my past against me. He's always extremely friendly and gives me that mojo I need when buying scratchers. So the customer service is excellent, but the store has a great selection. Super cheap fountain drinks, a clean restroom, and a great choice of munchy options as well as beers. I love this place! Gas may be a bit above average, but not anywhere near out of the ordinary considering it's freeway location and lack of other stations around. Go meet Jonny. He'll change your life. read more

This gas station is conveniently located right before the freeway and right off the freeway (which is nice if your gas light turns on half way down the 2 since you can just put your car in neutral and coast down to the gas station lol). The price here is always lower than Glendale's gas stations, its very clean for a Mobil, and the 2 clerks I've encountered here are both nice. The only issue is how crowded it can get and how big of a cluster fuck it is to get in and out. But can't complain too much since within a mile radius each direction, this is the only gas station. read more

This place is drama. First of all the keypad is slow to the point of disbelief. You put your zip/pin and it seems like it works in slow motion with a dial up modem. Sometimes (today) the pumps decide to go on vacation and take their sweet ass time....so filling up is a test of your patience. Are you kidding me? In this year 2015 we have these problems??? Pretty good gas station, comparable prices. I guess they just changed owners so now it is open 24 hours a day and has a circle K. I never go in, I just grab my gas and go. Sometimes the pumps can be a bit slow, but I try to go early in the morning and I don't have that problem. As long as the prices stay competitive, I will continue to go. read more
