While this is a decent location, some of the staff need more training. I entered a completely empty market, and no one responded to my calling out. Finally a young woman with dripping wet gloves came out. She had been cleaning, and basically grunted at me. I asked to be rung up for some things, and she DID NOT REMOVE HER WET GLOVES! I teach an infection control course, and I was curious to see how far she would go. She handled everything-money and product with these same gloves. GROSS!! This is not a time for laziness or ignorance as we move into flu season amidst a lot of vaccine hesitancy. Not only could someone have been stealing from this unattended market, but quite a lot of disease transmission could potentially occur in this place. This is my favorite gas station and I drive out of my way to come here. The inside of the store and bathrooms are always clean and well lit. I don't know any other gas station that keeps their windshield washer fluid so clean and blue either!I often see the employees outside refilling paper and cleaning around the pumps. My friend recently gave me a free truck with a chronic check engine light problem (fuel system). The first thing my mechanic recommended is using chevron gasoline only for the next 3 months or permanently switch to this brand to clean the fuel injectors and fuel system. This is a great location. I was a happy customer today. This location is very clean including their restroom. Gas was a bit expensive but they took credit card as payment while Arco down the street didn't. I forgot my ATM card and was happy to not be stranded without gas. There weren't any lines at the pumps, but that's probably because of their higher prices. Ha. So, they cannot accept credit cards when their system cannot communicate with the satellite. How often does that happen you ask? The BEST gas station I've ever been to. Not because of the gas, but because of the EXTRA MILE. They have a wide variety of snacks and beverages, a furnished restroom, pleasant staff, great scratchers, and an outdoor seating area. Great nice park next to it so you can enjoy nature while you pump gas. Unbelievable experience. I go out of my way just to pump gas here. I got gas at this Chevron Station in La Canada, CA on 11/14/2013. It was my first time there. As I was driving my 1991 Dodge Stealth, I always get 91 octane for it. The price of the 91 octane that day was $3.83. The receipt did not print at the pump (out of paper) so I had to go inside. The employee apologized to me for having to do that - which I thought was especially nice of him to do. read more

Something shady must happen here at odd times during the night and someone here definitely has OCD because nothing is ever out of place. THAT BEING SAID the pumps are a whole different story. Don't worry Chevron is on its way and ordering a new set of SLOT MACHINE HANDLES. Why? Because sometimes things work fine -- your cards go through and you feel good but then on that one day when you're in a rush and you have no hope other than a bright clean gas station on the road, shit goes crazy.
