Much smaller than the 7-Eleven that I go to in LA. The aisles are kind of narrow. Not nice looking because this 7-Eleven looks old. I believe it has been around for some time. The service was fine. They ran out of small slurpee cups, so she told me to use a small coffee cup and she charged me the same rate. Get the app so that you can use the rewards which are pretty good. Earn points towards free items. Small, free parking lot in a shared lot. I would only come here again if I happen to be in the area. There's a larger 7-Eleven not too much farther from this spot. read more

Usually, I love to support local businesses in our area. However, recent visits have been so bad to this specific 7-Eleven that I feel obligated to leave this review. I understand retail, especially convenient stores, are a tough job. If I see the cashier on his phone while handling customers, it's no big deal. If some hot items are out of stock and the slurpee is watery; whatever, next time it will be in stock or I'll get a different flavor. However, this last visit was unaccepatable. Customer service has really gone downhill since the "new owners" as previous Yelpers have stated. I was the only person in this 7-Eleven trying to order a few hotdogs for my kids before going to the park. The cashier was once again on his phone and took a while to get to me when I asked to get some items from the "grill". On the app it shows special deals, such as 3 for $3, get a drink with hot dog, etc. After showing him the deal on my phone, he grabbed 3 hot dogs behind the 1/8 Hot Dog label on the grill and proceeded to ring me up. After scanning the app, the register still showed double the price of what the deal stated. I again showed him the deal and he agreed, however he stated that he can't do anything about what the register showed and there was no workaround for it. Soon the store got more crowded and the cashier started to become impatient stating that I needed to pay almost the full price for each hot dog and he'll give me a $.50 discount off of one hot dog. That was not the 7-Eleven app deal, which I have alreaded showed him, AND after he got the hot dogs all packaged for me. He kept on saying that he couldn't do anything and kept on asking me to pay what was on the register. People waiting in line started to become impatient and someone even stated "it's only $.50 cents". Then cashier the even stated "it's only $.50 cents". This is what got me upset and really frustrated me at this particular 7-Eleven and this particular cashier. I understand there may be language issues at play here, but NO, it was not "just $.50 cents". It was $.50 cents OFF one hot dog when I was going to buy 3 hot dogs and the deal was for 3 for $3. That was going to total more than double the advertised deal price. I would not have come to 7-Eleven to get hot dogs if it were not something quick and if not for the advertised app deal. I could have easily gone to LC Imports next door to pick up slices of pizza (which I ended up doing) for the same price. Once again, I understand this is a minor pricing issue, but still, I can no longer overlook the horrible customer service, the unkempt store, the lack of professionalism, etc. The cashier did nothing to rectify the problem, but only exacerbated it and made it a big deal to the rest of the customers in the store. This 7-Eleven Liquor store opened several months ago and it is 90 % alcohol, 7 % slurpees and 3 % candy. It is really strange walking in a place that sells slurpees on one hand, but the majority of the inventory is alcohol. La Canada didn't have any 7-Elevens at all until this year and now there's a 7-Eleven explosion. I guess it makes it convenient to pick up your free slurpee on July 11th. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Ever since they changed owners, the customer service is terrible! The customer service is actually non-existent and reprehensible!! I don't know if the cashier is the owner's son but he is disappointing to say the least! I bought $10 worth of different drinks and beverages after waiting longer than necessary to check out and I ask the cashier would it be all right if I just get a small cup and fill it with ice only in order to chill my beverage. I asked him is it free. He said "go ahead, not a problem." He rings me up for $10 worth of drinks and I later find out he charged me $0.50 for ice and cup! What the heck???? Even Starbucks offers free ice and cup but this untrustworthy cashier charged me $0.50 after he told me no problem. Then when I went back and asked him why he charged me, he said we charge for ice. This happened literally 10mins ago. (10/24/15) I live right next to 7Eleven. I went at around 1 in the morning only to find out that they're "closed". The guy that's working just shouted, "we're closed!" We're closed!" (While gesturing his hand for my brother to close the door.) This used to be a clean, well run store before it changed owners. The staff is usually on their cell phones on personal calls when running the cash register, IF they wear a mask even with an indoor mandate it's below their nose or under their chin, and the floors and surfaces are dirty and digusting. OK, Nacho Nark in effect here. You want nachos at some weird hour, maybe late at night or the wee hours? 7-11s generally speaking are the best in this provision. Free hot cheese sauce (and/or chili con carne - ugh!), and plenty of sliced jalapenos, pico de gallo, chopped onions, guerito peppers, black pepper, crinkle-cut dill pickle slices, relish, mayonnaise, individually-wrapped plastic forks and napkins. You can usually get your fix 24/7, thank Heaven! Ohhhh, but gawrsh hepp ya if you stumble into this parochial provincial little vestibule of the venerable chain any time from about midnight to 5:00 AM. I just came to 7-11 to get coffee just now and wanted the blueberry flavor one but it ran out. I asked one of the employees whose name is Sean to make more and he responded very promptly. I got my freshly brewed coffee and loved the selections of creamers they have as well. When I went to pay, Sean said it is on the house because I had to wait for the brew! I was pleasantly surprised by the awesome customer service!! They also were playing BigBang, my favorite Korean boy band in there and offered Japanese pastries for sale!! I love this convenience store! All of the store clerks are very friendly and the store is always clean, what more could you ask for when going to this type of store. My son loves their slurpee machine and he has even talked me into letting him get hot dogs from here. The store is really clean. They have a great wine and hard alcohol selection, although they run out of stock quite often and don't' know why they don't order double. Other than that everyone is very friendly especially Narin. She is always positive every time I go into the store. She'll have my cigarettes ready on the counter as soon as she sees me. And anything else I need she's more than happy to grab it for me or help me with anything. She is knowledgable about all products in the store especially wine, liquor, beer, and tobacco. She can recommend a nice Chardonnay or Sauvignon with your chicken or filet mignon. Also, she always has coupons which is big help. Saving money is always a plus! The whole store is amazing. Staff is great. Recommend this 711 over the other one down the street especially if you are big on craft beer, they have an awesome selection! read more
