What a fricken masterpiece. The service was amazing. A great hangout spot to have a good time and enjoy good food. 9th wonder of the world.

It's as nice a location as the Montrose Gio. The food is the same quality and consistency which I appreciate. My favorite thing is the cannoli and a close second is the tiramisu. I actually prefer this location over the Montrose because the parking situation is better.

Cleanliness: 4.5 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5 Atmosphere: 5 out of 5 Food: 5 out of 5 My order: Egg croissant sandwich, it came with a side salad, and a caramel macchiato Reflection: Gio's was a pleasant surprise, I had no idea the sandwich would come with a side salad and the French dressing was so delicious. It was a simple meal, served fresh and quickly. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely stop by.

Love the new location! Stopped by here to grab some coffee and pastries. Shant and the team were very kind and friendly in taking our order. We ordered lattes, pastries and grabbed a table outside. As we waited we admired the decor. Not long after everything came out. The coffee was so delicious and the muffins was very soft and not too sweet. This will definitely be my go to place for coffee dates.

One of my favorite bakeries! We got 2 lattes, pistachio cannoli, tiramisu, and turkey breast sandwich. Everything was really good! I'm personally not a cannoli fan, but it was amazing. Tiramisu was on the sweeter side for me but I would still get it again. Weirdly enough I really liked the sandwich. Didn't think something so simple would make me so happy but the bread was the right amount of crunchiness and softness. Salad was good, didn't know what dressing it was but tied the entire dish together. Lattes were large and so good! I would definitely come back and order the same! The manager was also super welcoming and sweet. There is plenty of seating indoors and out, perfect for warmer weather to come. Parking is also very easy.

GIO'S IN LA CAÑADA IS GOOD ========================= Gio's in La Cañada had a soft opening on February 27, 2924, but their official opening day is Friday, March 1, 2024. I'm excited to have a new Gio's in La Canada. Their original location is in Montrose on Ocean View. I'm trying to eat a bit healthier, so it took all my willpower not to order pastries and sandwiches. The first time I visited for their soft opening I ordered a tuna salad and matcha latte and they were both great. My friend and I went today, March 1, 2024 and I ordered a ham and cheese panini with salad and that was delicious. My friend ordered the breakfast veggie baguette and she loved that. Next time I want to try one of their crepes. There is plenty of parking.

This new location is SO much nicer than the previous one! I had my doubts at first since I'm not a local, but I thought the foot traffic of the old location would be better. Wrong! The new location is right on the main strip, has much brighter seating. Our kids crushed their crepes. Coffee was good to carry me for the long drive home.

Overall chicken pesto panini (kinda pricey), peach tart and iced matcha were good. Love that they're open early but casual enough not to be a full on sit down diner.

    Crème Brûlée Yum!

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

This cafe has potential but at the moment it is not quite living up to the hype. The cafe, one of…read morethree in the area, is mostly kitchen & counter with a small bar counter with six stools facing the window & a handful of tables inside. It is not really cute or aesthetic in any way... and the whole place could use a refresh. There is a covered patio with a few tables outside but at the moment it is a bit haphazard and not the nicest because the space next door is doing construction & there is a large dumpster on Green Street. We ordered Black tea & Floral Pineapple Blossom tea drinks, Peach Crepe Cake and a Peach Souffle Pancake ($17.50) via the kiosk. When you order, you receive a text that lets you know your order number, has a receipt, and also an expected time of delivery. The drinks were ready about 15 minutes. They were both fine, and prepared correctly. The peach crepe cake was brought out a few minutes later. My mom enjoyed it and it looked very pretty. Then the time that the entire order was supposed to be ready came and went. I checked in with Nick at the counter and he said that my souffle pancake would be ready in 5 minutes. About 7 minutes later, when my mom was done with her cake. Nick brought it over and set it down in next to me. It was jiggly, huge, and very wobbly. I slid it over so it was in front of me, and the top pancake fell off of the stack, and flipped over so the whipped cream side was on the counter. I tried to flip it back over and put it on top of the stack, but it fell apart. At this point, I was so frustrated with the situation and grossed out by the possibility of eating whipped cream and pancake that had been on the counter, that I asked Nick to remedy the situation. He offered to make a new pancake, but since this one had taken 40 minutes to come out, I was not willing to wait that long again. He kindly offered an alternative suggestion which I accepted. I tried the Creme Brulee crepe cake which was mildly flavored and pretty tasty. (Maybe I should have just gotten it in the first place, but I had really wanted to try the souffle pancake which I've since & sadly lost interest in.) With that, we bid Motto adieu, and it is unlikely that I will return. A few additional notes: Parking in the area is metered and $1.25/hr with a max of 2 hours, the single bathroom is functional, but there is some problem with the ceiling (there is a gaping hole covered by plastic) making for an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary situation. This should be remedied immediately! Peace.

Not only was the flavor amazing (which made me want to return and try them all) but the presentation was definitely instagram worthy. Location is in old town so parking might be a challenge.

A Little Cheat Night Never Hurt Nobody!…read more After eating the juiciest chicken ever at Loli Farms, I've been eyeing this dessert spot for a while, and luckily it was only 1.6 miles away. So obviously... dessert was happening. Perfect excuse for a little cheat-night treat! Parking Hack: Don't pay $5 for parking! We parked about 7 minutes away in a parking structure for only $1 for 2 hours. After all the delicious food I inhaled, I definitely didn't mind getting a little extra cardio in. Pasadena parking is definitely doing the most, so parking structure it was! Mango Melon Shaved Ice -- $8.50 | 7.8/10 Mango-flavored shaved ice topped with melon balls and served with a side of milk drizzle. The shaved ice itself was SO soft and fluffy, and the milk drizzle gave it just the right amount of sweetness. The only thing was... I really couldn't taste much mango in the shaved ice. It was pretty subtle, so I wouldn't say this one completely blew me away, but it was still a refreshing treat on a hot summer night. Definitely not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst! Injeolmi Shaved Ice -- $7.50 | 7.7/10 Milk-flavored shaved ice topped with mochi, layers of Injeolmi powder, and more milk drizzle. This was actually our first time trying Injeolmi, so we were curious! The combination of the soft shaved ice, milk drizzle, and nutty Injeolmi powder was really good and made for a fun flavor combination. My only complaint? THE MOCHI. They were soooo tiny! I wanted that satisfying chewy squish, but these little guys basically tasted like mini boba that disappeared the second I bit into them. The shaved ice itself was perfectly soft and honestly the star of both desserts. Inside, there aren't a ton of tables, but luckily we snagged one right when we walked in. And let me tell you... this place had a constant flow of customers the entire hour we were there! People were coming in and out left and right, with only one ordering machine, so expect a little patience if it gets busy. Overall, both shaved ices were pretty decent and made for the perfect little "I already ate too much but I'm still getting dessert" moment. Definitely a nice way to break the diet after our chicken feast! Would I come back? Absolutely, especially to try some of their other shaved ice flavors. Happy desserts!
