I keep forgetting this CVS location. I got a promo code for free picture printing so I had to utilize it. Had it sent here and literally within the hour, the order was done and printed. Parking is plentiful in this plaza and all around CVS. They also have a drive thru that you can utilize for the pharmacy. Best to call to make sure the pharmacy workers are not at lunch. Came in and there was just one worker checking someone out. As I was waiting less than 2mins, another worker came up and helped me. I was in and out within 5mins. Picture prints were decent, and good as it's free. With the CVS app, I realized I have a few coupons I can utilize plus some reward dollars. 2 sets of 10. 4x6 prints Deodorant Make up concealer = $4 Impressive and I'm happy that I saved so much. every time I go there, which I really don't want to, there's the same worst customer service clerk. she doesn't acknowledge any customers, waiting for help with the self service counter. I asked her a question this morning, and she just told me, I don't know! it was about if my extra card coupons will be taken out at the self service counter. Fortunately, a clerk was at the register, so I went to her. Why is the same rude woman still works there? this older, short, gray haired woman there? There are so many good things to say about going into this CVS. I don't have any experience with the pharmacy or drive-thru line for the pharmacy, but I would like to say that the inside of this store is always clean, well-stocked and organized! As for the staff between the hours of 3:35 pm, and closing during the week...they are so nice and helpful. They are always smiling and I appreciate the help in finding items I may not be able to find on my own. Kudos to all the nice women I've met lately since I started visiting this particular CVS which is right next to where I work. They go out of their way to make sure you are informed in occasionally there is a wait, but that just reflects on the number of people who are satisfied with the product and services. I have been a cvs pharmacy customer for nearly 20 years. I at times use their coupons to offset their overpriced items at times. I usually don't go to this cvs but being near it I did. Big mistake. I have never had such a horrible experience and treated the way I was by the cashier. It was to the point of having a panic attack from the result of how she acted towards me. I will never venture out to that particular store again. And in fact have Ben thinks king for awhile about transferring all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy company. This just sealed the deal! I started trembling during the transaction and it just escalated if anyone understands panic disorder and ptsd- yeah as I'm typing this the thought of it is too upsetting so I will definitely be switching over my prescriptions . Haven't been here in years but was in the neighborhood and decided to stop and get a few things. Not well organized, the front registers said closed use self check out; (excuse me I am old and I don't do that); so waited for someone to come and help us. A lady had some boxes and I told her to go ahead and put them on the counter. The man showed up and said use self check out and I said I don't use it. He took the ladies boxes to send and she said to him "they were here before me", he never acknowledge what she said and she said to me "sorry". He then decided to help me with my products. He was not someone I would deal with again and wont go back to this location. read more

This is the closest pharmacy to our home, and for convenience, the one we use. It's a smaller store, and they are constantly OUT OF EVERYTHING! There is a giant wine and snack section, but if you need medications, tissues, cosmetics or personal care stuff- OUT. ALL THE TIME. I have picked up prescriptions and shopped at this location for the past 2 years! Well no more. After today this store will no longer have my business. Being falsely accused of illegally stealing. Mark and David the managers with out asking me, told me I had stolen their product while using the restroom. Shaken and in disbelief, I called the police on myself! I did not want to be accused of theft! I'm still in shock that with out checking cameras or even asking me, I was just accused. I may not look like an upper middle class person but I spend a lot of money and use my insurance for prescriptions at this store. It was complete discrimination because I had a "full cart" Of stuff. I had my backpack and two jackets. My 2 jackets I was wearing were in the cart. It's raining today and the store was warm. I take the bus. I have to be prepared and carry a backpack. The fact that I'm even explaining this all on yelp is insane. Just know, if an upper class snooty customer accuses you, you will likely be accused with out further being asked or with out getting the facts straight. The Lake Mead Parkway @ Athens Avenue CVS.   I am starting this CVS review off by using Walgreens slogan "the crossroads of happiness and health" for this CVS because it is literally at the crossroads of happiness and health. That crossroads is where the Lake Mead Parkway Trail meets Athens Avenue. Going back many years to when I reviewed the Wetlands Connector Trail in 2012, this large parking lot has been a trailhead to get happy and healthy on the adjacent Lake Mead Parkway Trail on hikes that brought me into the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (with the contiguous River Mountains Loop Trail), Lake Las Vegas and Wetlands Park (with the Wetlands Connector Trail), and the River Mountains foothills (with the River Mountains Loop Trail southbound). You can say that the closest CVS to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Lake Las Vegas fills my prescription of happiness through the refills of serotonin that the sun provides me hiking in the desert from the trail contiguous to the parking lot.    When I park at a business that provides an abundance of parking to leave my car for a long hike, they will get some of my business. Even if their prices are higher like $2.19 for a 20 ounce Coke. With that said, my wallet and I have been inside this CVS a plentitude of times.    Right off the bat my first and last impression of this easternmost chain store on Lake Mead Parkway is that it is very convenient in a neighborhood where the closest supermarkets are currently a few miles west at Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway. With a traffic signal controlling traffic onto Lake Mead Parkway from Athens Avenue, it is relatively safe to turn left onto the highway or continue straight towards Galleria Drive. The parking lot has an abundant number of spaces, is well lit, and appears to be safe.    Inside CVS is modern and clean. In similar fashion to a casino, there is a curvy walking path that breaks up the carpet. However, instead of leading to a casino cage it leads to the pharmacy. And instead of rows of slot machines there are rows of aisles selling merchandise ranging from a make believe pet cat to groceries. It is essentially a pharmacy and convenience store.    A good number of my business transactions have been from the drinks that I purchased from the coolers in the right corner of the store. Before setting off on a long hike into the desert I have purchased a Gatorade or bottled water. In comparison to the convenience stores, I feel that they beat CVS on prices and selection. If I wasn't using the large CVS parking lot, I'd most likely stop at a real convenience store. After the hike, it has been the norm for me to return here to pick up a 20 ounce soda for the drive home and a cold one for the house. Lately, out of convenience I have brought a couple of groceries. Regardless that their prices are high, they sometimes have good sales. This included Campbell's Chunky Soup for $1 and Spaghetti O's for a $1 (a good deal for CVS).  Although their prices are high, the convenience and lack of congestion keep my blood pressure low. Sometimes I prefer lower stress over lower prices. Speaking of blood pressure, I use their blood pressure machine by the pharmacy. It is free to the public and takes adequate readings. And speaking of adequate, the cashiers have never overcharged me while being pleasant.    During the peak of the Coronavirus 19 pandemic, in my opinion, CVS was one of the safest places to shop in. Despite the fact that their prices are high and the food selection is tiny, there were a sparse number of people here which made it a breeze to follow social distancing. If only it was a breeze to find toilet paper and paper towels here during the days of March and April 2020.   Standing at the crossroads of Happiness and Health, I will return to Lake Mead Parkway at Athens Avenue to refill my prescription of serotonin. When life gets to stressful, a hike on the adjacent Lake Mead Parkway Trail is just what the doctor ordered. With that prescription refill, I will support the closest CVS to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. read more

The wait in the drive thru is ridiculously painful!!! There was only 1 car in front of me. Still waiting for 20 minutes!!!!

By far the worst CVS pharmacy ever. The doc set up a prescription and we called ahead of time 830am and they said it would be ready within an hour.. we get to the pharmacy after 10am and they said they don't have the prescription.. we called the DR and confirmed that he sent the prescription over (apparently they didn't check or verify) only to wait another 20-25 mins to tell us that they are getting it ready. Another time I was sitting in the driveway thru thinking it would be faster and had to wait 20mins in the line. No one was coming to the window so I ended up going inside to pickup. It was like another 15mins of waiting. Horrible horrible service. We're changing out pickup location so we don't have to deal with this again. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

Just moved out here from SW Vegas. Used to Walgreens near our old house. The pharmacy was full of staff who were not helpful at all. I understand that we are going through tough times and wAit times can be long but to be ignored is not acceptable, especially since I was the only one in line. Won't go back. read more

This was a destinations trip because of the coupon that we received in the mail and it was pretty significant stating 32% off the final bill. The last time we try to use a coupon like this it would not work and was really embarrassing. So this time instead of going to one of the self-serving checkout stations, we went to the cashier and her name was Carolyn. We explained to Caroline why we were coming to her register instead of self-serving checkout and she understood. Low and behold, the coupon would not work once again but she stepped up to the plate and assisted us 100%. She commenced explaining the intricate details about how the coupons work at CVS and now we have a total and clear understanding, and have no problem coming back. Thank you Carolyn. This is the 7th or 8th month that this CVS has messed up my prescriptions. They're always willing to work with my doctor and insurance company to fix things, but at some point, someone there needs to learn how to do some math. Update #1: I went in today and the pharmacist was very helpful. He helped me devise a plan to taper off all my medications and what to do with the extended release capsules since those can't be halved. He okayed dumping the contents of the pill in juice, drinking half, and saving the rest for the following day. read more

What can I say other than "I did lead with my best review firstly." My day was almost over for me, when I'd realized I had a few prescriptions to turn in to my pharmacy. Also I had a few to pick-up all do to recent injuries, those are other stories. Nevertheless, this is what led me to leave my 1 star and piss poor review. Walked in the automatic doors of the store mind you, the cashier had his head down Did Not acknowledge me once. This wasn't his first time I'm very keen to detail, and I've always been. A lot of folk don't like this about me, but I give No ...ks period!! Back to my terrible and very upsetting experience. Now there's an active line to be serviced, the pharmacist is assisting customers' at the drive thru window. There's one pharmacy tech assisting the woman in the front of me, and I observed another young female behind the counter assisting with administering the meds for the pharmacist. Now I am on my cellphone just killing time, when I hear the pharmacist after 5-10 minutes of being in line that had grown out of control might I have you. So he says "Charles can you help us out?" Charles turns around and heads towards the pharmacy counter to jump on a register. I'm so appreciative at this point, I yell out to him letting him know how thankful I was for him to assist us. Charles smiled, and called me to the counter. Now at this time, I hand the well mannered Gent my prescriptions. He tells me, we must go to another area to drop off those meds. I'm okay with this, until he leaves me, and this young lady named Lauren comes up to the counter. Now, I'm just looking at the change in moods and her uninviting dispostion she has. Has any one ever been diligently working on a project or something that you really don't want to be distracted from? This was young Lauren's look to me like she wanted this interaction to be over expeditiously. She never greeted me with a "Hello." I did all of the customer service hospitality while on my cellphone. She proceeded to ask me, a few questions I answered not with anger yet. But she was bringing ShaLicious out of me, this is my alter ego..she's nice nasty at times, sh..sometimes she scares me..any who, Lauren was "Hot as Fish Grease" my Granny always says. So she asked, "When you wanna get these?" I'm not quite sure if the slang or lingo changed because I was of another race or ethnicity. But I wasn't digging it at all, I then told her "Any time next week would be fine." And by the way "I have some Rx's that I need to pick up please." She looked at me with a snarling dispostion now, pointed to her left told me "OOOHHH you gotta go back over there to pick up." I looked to my right but the left of her because she'd been facing me. I advised her that "I'd go there but I Was Not getting at the back of that line." This young lady never offered to assist me if I were to go back at the beginning of the line from which I'd started 20 minutes ago. She was hoping to go back to cutting up and bagging prescriptions for customers that may not of been there at that present time. At this point my other side starts to come out just like The Hulk, only difference I don't strip off my clothes, turn green, nor do I become a giant of some sort. But angry and very much agitated at this point. For about 10 minutes of nastiness I received from this young gal No One Ever Identified her unpleasant behavior towards me. Because I basically acknowledged her rudeness now Jonathan the Pharmacist yells out to Only Me, "Hey!" You don't have to talk to her like that. I'm looking like WTHell! Where the heck were you when she was acting as if I'd just stolen her car keys??!! I didn't want to be totally outrageous and call out it just as I'd seen it numerous times at this CVS pharmacy/store. I love everyone, and its disgusting how folk are still blinded by the lights. Jonathan came for me, and I was only looking to drop off and pick up. Lauren should've had my name already being that she'd just allegedly assisted me. So why ask me for my name again?? This place definitely needs some undercover bosses to come or even secret shoppers to actually see how people of color are treated in here. I've been a valued shopper and customer with CVS pharmacy for a very very very long time. I think its time that I transfer my services to Smith's or even Albertsons.This was the last straw, I'd been keeping things that I've endured since I moved to this area and made this my local pharmacy. I recently switched over to the CVS due to moving on this side of town and not only do the pharmacist or the pharmacist assistant treat you like a drug addict, but they are very rude and they do not care about you nor your health. After I moved all of my prescription to this CVS things started togo bad. Without my asking they put all of my prescriptions on automatic refill. Now I am getting calls to pick up my prescriptions, which I still had 20 or 25 of my former prescription remaining. I got the idea they were in a hurry to refill them just to make some money. It became so overwhelming that I moved all of my prescriptions to walmart and then made sure none of them were on automatic refill. read more

I have lived close to this cvs for 5 years & go there often. For everyday stuff to prescriptions. I always get their long receipts with "extra care bucks" often since I shop there so much. I went to use 6$ worth of coupons yesterday, no big deal I ALWAYS use them without any issue. Well Mr. David had an issue, and preceded to hassled me over the coupons in front of all the people in line behind me saying "I had to have the exact card that was used for the purchase to use the coupon" ????? First off, I always use my own card so I didn't know what the heck he was talking about, then when he still wouldn't take them, I literally just left the store. On my way out he tried to tell me to stay & "he'll fix the problem" After hassling me for the whole 5 minutes, NOW you'll fix it? Needless to say I'll be taking the extra 5 mins to drive to Smiths from now on. The price of everything at this store is ridiculously high as well!!! This pharmacy is slow, loses prescriptions, and the staff is rude! They treat you a paying customer with disrespect and are not helpful in any way!! It's a horrible run pharmacy and the staff needs training on customer service. We switched to Smith's up the road but had to use them again temporarily after Smiths is no longer an accepted pharmacy with our insurance. We had a prescription called in for our son on Weds. I call Thursday to see if it was filled and they say it can't be filled without a diagnostic code? You mean a diagnostic code for my sons ADHD meds he has been on for over 3 years, and you filled his prescription for 2 of those years?! Ok I'll have the doctor call it over immediately. It's now Sunday and still no prescription because they are waiting to hear from insurance. Ok why not call and tell me that on Thursday or Friday? So i could contact insurance. Instead of being helpful the lady that answered decided to argue with me about how this is not her fault or CVS's fault. Granted that may be, but you don't argue with a cust who just needed help on next steps, nor should you be rude and condescending to a parent who is only trying to get their child's prescription filled. As soon as this script is filled I would rather drive to Walgreens to get my meds where they actually care, and do a good job! My money is good anywhere and just because you are convenient doesn't mean people will continue to patronage your store. read more

Stopped in to fill a prescription - thought it would be faster than running to the big box store down the street. 4 people behind the counter, only 1 assisting customers. so I figured this would be quick. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait, and they would call me on the intercom so I could go shop. I was amazed at how expensive everything was here. They never called my name. At 30 minutes I got in line and found out my order was ready. I had better things to do than wait around for my order. At checkout, they had my phone number on the tablet and I had to confirm it was correct. then there was an "Agree" button to receive marketing calls to that number. No chance to opt out. I could hit the print info button, which gave me a number to call to opt out - another 5 minutes of my time. I won't be shopping at CVS anymore. read more

Completely incompetent is all I can say about the people who work at this CVS pharmacy . On one occasion I was given a 3 month supply of BIRTH CONTROL instead of PRENATAL VITAMINS. I mean??? They are also extremely unprofessional and rude to costumers. One of the ladies (I didn't catch her name) got into an argument with my husband when he tried to pick up his prescription saying that he needed a separate prescription card instead of his insurance card (which was not true as he had just contacted his insurance and everything was good to go so she is just clueless I guess ‍). This is our second time here today and they still can't seem to figure out what is going on and it would be a different story if they had any semblance of decent customer service but nope! Probably the worst I've seen in a long time! Instead of arguing, the woman should have just admitted her mistake and try her best to rectify it. But nope. She decided trying to argue was the best choice . The woman who was "helping" us the second time actually defended the other lady who had given us a hard time earlier! And to make matters worse they basically demanded that we pull out of the drive thru and come back through again because there are people behind us. Welllll ladies, if you would have done your job in the first place your "line" wouldn't be an issue. I don't get heated easily and I never leave negative reviews but I am BLOWN AWAY by how these women treat customers who just want to pick up their meds! Please. Definitely surprised that I didn't escalate as much as I should have. Not really the best experience, but looking back, the employee was nice. I bought a few things online and noticed that it didn't work for me once I received it. The receipt did allow me to take the items back to a physical store, however, when I got there, she wouldn't refund it back to my card. I could only get a store credit. I was a little turned off because I literally returned over $60 in merchandise. That meant, I had to use that money back in CVS, a place I shop at about once every 3 years. Definitely useless to me. Check your prescription costs if you shop here I was charged $30 for a prescription I can't get at other pharmacies for $13.00. I believe in a fair market price but charging $30 for a drug the costs them less than $5 is nothing short of highway robbery . I'm sure they count on the fact most people won't compare shop. I don't choose to pay for my Pharmacists house, pool, car, etc only prescription. So if you don't mind paying more go there. read more

This CVS is in the far east. No, not that far east. The Eastern valley. This area really needed a drugstore/pharmacy. It was built during the economic crisis of 2008 so I hope it survives. It's easy in...easy out. Friendly clerks usually. The last time I was browsing near the pharmacy 2 ladies were working behind the counter. One said to the other "I love you". I don't know if they were married or just dating but it's nice to know a positive vibration is going on between the employees.
