Recently tried to order on-line for my son to pick up in a different city. CVS made the on-line ordering process a little complex, but not overly difficult. Biggest problem was the search field didn't search for the item requested, just brought up dozens of miscellaneous products. My requested item was midway through the second page...the only one with the exact search name I entered. I tried to give feedback, but the printed link did not work. Finally, after all that the purchase was submitted and soon after was cancelled. A second attempt resulted in the same cancellation. CVS explanation? "It didn't look exactly right to us." The pharmacist Ngoc Tran is extremely rude and unprofessional. She questioned the integrity of my prescriptions because I have a physician who is out of state in my hometown. Her tone and delivery the entire conversation was condescending to say the least. She rudely and very inappropriately said well one of these was from 2 weeks ago, We'll have to put it in again. I responded "thank you". She hung up on me. I called her back to let her know her behavior was rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. She tried to defect accountability and finger point saying I had an attitude with her. No Ms. Ngoc, I answered your questions matter of factly. You handled yourself very poorly and very unprofessionally. I finally told her to stop the gaslighting, there is no excuse for her behavior at all. I then go to the pharmacy. Oddly, when the cashier was helping me, she told the cashier to bring her my medications. Ms. Tran, hiding behind a mask, then proceeded to open both of the bottles and look at them while she was dealing with another customer. What exactly were you looking for and why would you do that? I have been a customer of this particular CVS location and have to confront one snafu after another. PRICING errors ($282!! My price was 35, but they are evidently NOT into the details. It's impossible to navigate the webpage - worse trying to contact them by phone - CURT and ABRUPT when you finally get someone on the phone. NOT INTO PROBLEM SOLVING, and quick to get off the call. I am in shock that this CVS has a poor rating. I am VERY particular about my meds and other purchases. Honestly, I'm a pain. But THIS CVS is the best store I have ever dealt with online or in person. The pharmacy has been so patient with me as I just retired and my insurance was not quiet right. The cashiers (pharmacy techs) take two and three customers at a time using all three of their registers. The manager just gave me a picture plus my money back that I thought was just so so. The other staff members walk me to the item I am asking about and then ask me if there is anything else they can help me with. ALL staff have smiles and they are always busy has h***. Poor customer service. My father; who has been sick; called to check to see if his medications were ready and he was told they were ready and the person hung up on him. Pharmacy run by people who think they have the authority to overrule doctors and Hospitals. We have been running around trying to get my father home from a rehab center for a broken hip. No big deal, just lots of little things to think about to make a place safe and useful. In the midst of the errands someone sends prescriptions over to CVS and I am assigned to go pick them up. One of them is for 6 Warfarin pills. It was basically the rehab place sending a small supply in case we had lost rack of his exiting pills over the past few weeks. Get to the CVS and it is not ready, not only that but the gatekeeper tells they won't fill it. I ask if there is a question about the Dr.'s approval? No, it is that in their records she feels he has a sufficient supply and does not need these. WTF, a clerk at a pharmacy counter suddenly with zero information and context has more authority than a rehab center and Dr.s on a patients medical needs? He normally pays $3.17 for 90 of these little pills. She wound up saying if I paid full retail, I could get the 6 pills. $12 later I left with the pills. Since when did the flipping clerk at the register get the power and authority to deny patients their prescriptions? Run from this place, sadly it serves a lot of old people at Asbury. read more

SO RUDE. I was told it would be 15min to fill my script. 10 MINUTES LATER she says my FULL NAME over the INTERCOM to go back to the pharmacy. There was an issue with my insurance but I had already called WEEKS prior and the CVS on upper rock worked it out and I've had scripts filled since then. Incredibly lazy and rude ppl here. I normally don't go there for this reason but Upper Rock was closed. I used to work in the pharmacy at CVS and it was very frustrating when she talked over me constantly as if I didn't understand anything. I will NEVER go to this location again. What bunch of incompetent boobs. I went on a Monday to the Minute Clinic here, which transmitted 2 scrips and handed me a 3rd signed one I'd have to give at intake. The lady said 15-20 minutes, and they weren't crazy busy. I'm sick as a dog and coughing up a lung, but busy myself w email, Facebook, etc. Feels like it's taking a while...what, an HOUR? I get in line to ask. The one person in front of me, it takes at least 5 minutes to check out a few items. Routine, no price checks, and just picking up a scrip they dropped off yesterday. Problem w their scrip. Five more minutes later its finally my turn. The lady is apologetic and nice, and digs around for my scrips. Nothing. Asks one of the 3 pharmacists, and the mad scramble to START filling them begins. She returns and rings them up. As I leave, I double check, and find one missing. Scrambles again...nothing...asks for the copies from Minute Clinic. She says I needed to hand the signed one in...say I did...asks why it was handed back to me...umm, how would I know? Scrambles to fill that one, for robitussin w codeine. Rings me up...says oh you used to live in Chicago...umm, no...shows me the bag w my info. Nope, not my info...name was close, address is halfway across the country. This cvs is horrible. First, I'd like to start off by saying this is the SECOND time this exact issue has happened to me. The first time I was told time and time again to go back to the store the next day to get my order, and it was never ready nor did the employees try to help me with this issue. Just "come back tomorrow." My second complaint is that the CVS photo customer service phone line was basically unreachable, and I had to be transferred time and time again to different customer service representatives for AN HOUR, only to end up with someone being rude enough to me that I gave up. So, I am sending this email for my second recurrence of this problem. I ordered my mounted photo panel for pickup on Sept 24 to CVS #01490, 546 N FREDERICK AVE, GAITHERSBURG, MD20877. I received the email notifying me my order was ready on the SAME day, Sept 24. I went to pick it up today, Sept 26, at 12:30 pm. I would like to reiterate that this is the SECOND time I have come to pick up photos that I've been notified are ready and they are not anywhere to be found in the store. When I ask about them, I am told by the workers that the "system doesn't work" with no offer to help, refund me or print the photo panel for me again. I also received no explanation why I received a ready notification in the first place. All I got was a shrug and not even so much as an apology for my missing photo panel, just as I did the first time. This was supposed to be a birthday gift and now, once again, I do not have the gift for my sister. And, I cannot even call the CVS help line because as I said before, no one is willing to help or compensate me whatsoever, but instead transfer me from person to person. read more

This CVS is definitely old. Not the best and the lines are always line. I feel like every time I come in here there are some weird old drunk men ranting and raving about something. I don't know where they come from. This CVS is open 24 hours a day but not sure I'd want to be here late in the wee hours. Took my son to CVS clinic for a sports Physical. Easy online appointment scheduling and appointment was available on the same day. Upon arrival I checked in at kiosk and waited a few additional minutes for practitioner. There is a screen on wall that shows what place you're in line and how long til your they are ready to see you. Practitioner was very attentive, answered all our questions and eagerly completed all forms I brought on for the visit. She was very funny but thorough in her examination. They only have one cashier working with 10 plus customers waiting in line. And this is my third time coming back thinking lines would be shorter, my mistake. This is the worst CVS pharmacy I think I've ever been to and yet I keep coming back because it's the pharmacy that serves my location. It's seems like the don't care because it's in a lower income area, and that's pretty unfair. The store, especially pharmacy area, is dirty. Trash on the floor constantly, dust everywhere. The pharmacy staff is generally incompetent. Nearly every time I fill a script they run it without insurance and then make me wait while they redo it. I've been at the pharmacy when they do it to other people. My only guess for why they do this is that they are trying to have prescriptions done by the promised time so they fill them without processing insurance so that the patient gets an alert that it is done in time. The pharmacist is a disaster. On various occasions I have heard her loudly yelling to patients from behind the counter about their medications (last time she talked about a poor woman's Valtrex). This month, after they again messed up my RX and I had to wait in my car while they fixed it, I came back into the pharmacy to hear that the pharmacist HAD A PATIENT ON SPEAKER PHONE. When she got off the call, she said to the cashier, "That was First Name Last Name calling about his pain medicine again," and then she complained about the guy. CVS Germantown, Middletown Rd and 355 has gone from sugar to sh...t. It was once professional and handled customers RX efficiently. Now it takes several days to get an RX filled. This review is for the pharmacy- The lines are always extremely long and it doesn't appear to be very clean. They continuously are slow and seem frustrated with helping customers so I don't always get the information needed. Also for some reason, every once in awhile they fill a an old prescription that I no longer take. I only come here for insurance reasons but the hassle is very overwhelming. Out of all of the CVS stores in the immediate Rockville/Gaithersburg area, this one is ALWAYS out of stock on EVERYTHING. Sale items, non-sale items, long pharmacy lines, etc... Amazing how the locations on Rockville Pike (both Pike Plaza and across from Congressional) both have pleasant employees and ALWAYS have what you need? One time, the cashier rung something up wrong and my wife was trying to get it corrected and the manager on duty made up some lame excuse why it couldn't be done. Fine, she asked for a refund..... This CVS is the worst. I go here on a regular for prescription and it's always an issue. From my auto fill not being ready to them calling me saying a prescription is ready, I say I will be in two days and arrive in two days but it is not there before the time they typically place the prescription back. I have not had nice pharmacy staff, they even got an attitude with me on the phone one day for a prescription that was not ready for auto fill when I came in and called back before driving to wait in the long line. I used this pharmacy for several years and had so many issues. Prescriptions filled incorrectly, being told my prescription was ready when it wasn't, incredibly long waits in line, and misinformation from staff. I dealt with local and regional managers who frequently wouldn't even follow up. One had to go in at 10pm and manually back out a prescription that the pharmacy submitted a claim for but never filled!! These managers would always admit there was an issue but could never seem to fix it. So, after all that, I finally took my business to the local Rite Aid and have had a much better experience. It's a CVS! It's open all the time...it's pretty well stocked, and a quite large CVS. It's not the cleanest one I've been in, and they've had a leaky ceiling when I've been in there..but..it serves a purpose. I also had official photos taken (for a visa) and they were accepted. Sometimes you'll pay $10 (or $12, I guess), and the photo will be rejected, but the person taking mine was competent enough. No problems here, but I'm not gonna run back until I need to. read more

Happy little CVS. Not great, not bad. Whatever. It's open 24 hours, which is nice. I have to confess to not knowing if the pharmacy is also 24 hours, but most CVS locations aren't. Call ahead if you're looking for that. Overall, the place works. It's a lil cluttered. The staff are a mix of nice and boneheaded (some both, most one or the other). The parking is always easy in this shopping center, too. Then again, coming from the Aspen Hill location (we just moved up to Gburg) my standards of good parking lots are low. She said what do you want? Who says that to a customer ? When I asked when it will be ready she said tomorrow and I asked can I have it sooner since I need it.
