Had an awful experience here today. We went to buy important stuff. My wife was paying and i was returning some stuff, my son who has autism was looking at the candies near the counter and checking it, not even opening it. i was from an aisle to return an item, the in store manager yelled multiple times at my son, i confronted him as he was not even opening the candies and why he would yell so hard. i told him that my son has autism, but he was unapologitic and was even telling how an irresponsible parent i was. he was rude, unprofessional and did not even apologize for what he did. This CVS Pharmacy has become a complete headache. Every time I request a refill, they somehow "never receive" communication from my doctor's office. The call in refill line is nothing but a joke, that never works correct. When I call my doctor to ask if they provide refill info, they show me the approval logs on their end (with timestamps), yet CVS claims they don't have anything. I called in on the refill line and it sated the doc denied the refill, again called my Doc and they said they have the log showing they approved it the other day. It's the same cycle over and over. At one point I never had this problem with CVS its ben the last 2 yrs.  I'm now completely out of medication because CVS can't manage basic communication. I've spent days going back and forth just trying to get something that should be routine. Absolutely unacceptable. If you need reliable prescription management, look elsewhere. read more

Transferring all my prescriptions because you have to physically come in to speak to a pharmacist to resolve issues with their app and their inventory which is always out of stock. The most you can do is, after a series of unnecessary interaction with the automated service, leave a voicemail and they 'will get back to you'. This is unbelievable. Having automated service to take care of simple things, fine. But give the Option to talk to a real human! Idk why I'm even bothering with this review. I would give them less than one star if could. I had a prescription sent in around 9 am before I left the office. It says it was promised by 3:43 pm. I checked multiple times during the day on their app to see if it was completed, but it was not. I finally received a text at 7:11pm stating it was ready for pickup. Worst Experience with Printing Photos！ We were there to print passport photos but this location has defective machines that won't print pictures from the phone correctly and would only take pictures from camera sim cards which is inconvenient. We then tried to take photos there and print them out from their device, but the employees were extremely unfamiliar with the process and printed the wrong photos, cropped them wrong and didn't even send the electronic file that I paid extra for!!!!!!! When I went back there to ask for the file, they refused to help and wanted to go through my phone to check my emails, I mean...... Throughout the process, the employees were not very pleasant and never apologized for being very very unfamiliar with their job!!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! read more

The main reason to use this CVS is they are open late (currently 10 PM; it used to be 24 hrs until the labor shortage). It's a typical CVS but a little less loved than some locations. If you care, they have a drive thorough. Pros: Usually well stocked Somehow always provided my meds despite a national shortage Pharmacy staff brisk but polite Never had a problem with delays They text updates on fills and waits Recent hires have improved service Drug disposal bin near pharmacy counter Cons: Crowded and busy, so there's usually a line (despite the techs working flat out) Atmosphere feels cramped Not especially friendly compared to some places CVS has high prices on meds Could they improve? Yes. This location should be twice the size considering how much business it gets. It's also just 2 minutes down the road from a Trader Joe's, which lets me combine trips. Snacks!! read more

Where do I start!! I wish I could give less than a 1 star! The cashiers in the front never want to help. I went to return something without a receipt and I was told I could not do that by jaldenagh I think that's his name. I asked him if I could look it up by my rewards number. He told me to check if I had it in an email and walked off. Then I was able to pull it up on the app and then he proceeded to ask me for a barcode on the app, which it did not have. So he asked me to enter my card I purchased it on. Now, this is where it burned me up! He could have easily asked me to enter the card I purchased it on at first! I wish I could give negative stars to actual pharmacy of this store. The retail area and staff are fine but this is the only 24 hour pharmacy in the Potomac/Darnestown area. Since I work late, I use this location in case it's after regular closing time when I'm on my way home and need to pick up a prescription. The staff does NOTHING quickly. There are always several employees behind the counter and working on things but it's like they have no desire to improve wait times and are unapologetic every time I pick up a Rx. Mind you that they have a "time promised" on the bag and I don't expect them to always be ready within a few mins of when the promised but at least have it ready the same day. It doesn't matter if you dive up or walk in, you will wait and there's a very high likelihood that someone you interact with will be rude to you. I don't think I've ever been inside the store when there weren't phones ringing endlessly and being completely ignored by staff. Like, they don't even bother to pick it up and say "please hold". I've called and after going through the automated crap, was put through to speak with the pharmacist. I sat on hold for 34 mins and not once did anyone pick up. I didn't want to hang up for fear of being pushed to the back of the line again but I could've driven there, asked my question in person, and driven back home in 34 mins. So irritating. They seem to give zero fu*ks about your time and don't care if you're sick or in pain or anything. read more

Does anyone else's CVS totally suck? Looking at CVS reviews, every single location has low scores. I constantly have to email 5 times or more just to get them to honor extrabucks deals that their own app says I have "unlocked." The "rewards" of free items for extracare members have been out of stock every day at my store. I've gone literally every day and gotten zero. The employees hate life and I feel so bad for them that I never ask a single question. It's basically an overpriced convenience store that false advertises. I signed up for extracare because they advertised prescription delivery. I have 4 prescriptions, they claim all of them are ineligible for delivery. I switched my prescription back to Safeway and there's hardly ever a line and the pharmacists don't want to commit suicide. read more

Go anywhere else!!! Every purchase has been frustrating. Staff knew a prescription was incorrect for a critical medicine but waited until pick up to announce she knew it was wrong. She did not call the patient or the Dr. just smiled and appeared pleased with herself because she knew it was wrong and knew the patient would not be happy. CVS tried to charge us $190 for a prescription that we later got filled at the Fallsgrove Safeway for less than $7. Same exact drug and same exact quantity. I called the pharmacy several times and there was no answer. I called the store and it was very bad language barrier. Switch me back again and the phone continued to ring. 2:30 in the morning!!! I called back again same person answered mumbling and switched me back again to the pharmacy and they finally answered. Left the emergency room and needed some pediatric crutches. Got a one time prescription of antibiotics here and really didn't have a problem, until I started getting automated phone calls repeatedly about activating an automatic 3 month refill plan. I don't even take any pills everyday that I could do a 3 month plan for. It's been months and I'm still getting these automated calls. Called in to try to speak to someone about this and waited on hold forever without ever talking to anyone. I live in DC but came to an air bnb to escape the tourists for a bit while in a severe depressive episode and this was the closet pharmacy. My psychiatrist called in emergency ativan to this pharmacy. It's been processing for 4 DAYS now and I'm leaving to go back to DC today. No one will pick up the phone (20/30/40 min on hold) and I called my regular CVS in DC to ask them to transfer it. The pharmacist there informed me that THIS CVS has to cancel it first since it's a controlled substance. THE CVS THAT WONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I have no way to get there to demand cancellation in person as I have to be out of here in an hour and Uber home with my 70 pound dog. Obviously my anxiety has skyrocketed and they're essentially holding my medication hostage through their incompetence. Do not use this location. read more

The recent reviews of this place are accurate, and I honestly wish I'd looked at Yelp before going to this CVS. They lost the physical prescription I gave them, then claimed I'd never given it to them, then told me to go back to my doctor to get the prescription again, and spelled my name wrong *twice* in their records, etc. Meanwhile, merely by calling their own telephone number and entering in my information, I was able to find my prescription and all the details without any issue. It took well over an hour of arguing with them before someone else in the back quickly came out, put in information I provided, and found my prescription in 15 seconds. Important note: DO NOT CALL THEM! Like several of these reviews have said, I was on hold for over an hour and never able to speak to a human being. I'm usually a very understanding person, but this is textbook incompetence. I'll be reaching out to CVS corporate to personally complain about this place. read more

Do not order anything from CVS online. I ordered a few supplies for a surgery I had upcoming. I needed same day delivery and I saw that the few things I needed were in stock at the CVS 5 miles from house. After my order confirmation, I hadn't heard anything. The delivery never came, three days later, I got an email it was coming later that day. It never came, two day after that I got an email saying it was coming on July 1st. This was the day after my surgery and six days after the "same day" delivery was supposed to come. On July 1, I got an email that my delivery (coming from Los Angeles) would be there by July 6. There are no words, at the total incompetence, not to mention, now when I heal enough, I get to be inconvenienced and have go to a CVS to return everything. FYI I had to buy my supplies from Walgreens and I got them with 1 1/2 hours the same day. read more

Pharmacy Review Only: Can I give a 0 Star? The tech's here are slow and rude, all of them. One time I needed to pull a medical report for my dad and had to stand here on a weekend for one hour because there was only one pharmacist and she insisted on chatting with every customer for at least 15 minutes each. I came here a second time and Tina H., the tech who took my order, was over-the-top rude. She asked me if I had any allergies to any medications. I looked down to think for less than 5 seconds, to which she rudely yelled at me "Hello?!" I'm sorry, can I think for 5 seconds and think?? If they're this incompetent at taking orders, I really worry how competent they are at filling orders...probably not very. Go somewhere if your life depends on it. read more

Located in the same shopping center as kfc/Taco Bell, 7-11, mama wok, and office bldgs Plenty of parking. I have always been able to find parking easily Pharmacy is so slow! My mom dropped off my dad's medicine and they told her to pick it up 2 hours later and I come 3 mins before at 7:57 and it's not ready, but that's fine cus I'm 3 mins early.. Then the girl tells me that I need to wait 10 mins later and nope still not ready. 20 mins later it's still not ready.. So I'm standing near the counter waiting and I overhear other customers ask for their prescription and hmmm everyone has to wait about 5-10 mins even though their medicine should've been ready. The girl at the register, Jennifer, is rude and when she turns her back on customers she rolls her eyes. That's not good customer service. People would probably be nicer if the girl at the counter would at least smile. read more

I'm writing this review specifically for the pharmacy. I noticed there have been negative reviews of this CVS from awhile back, but I have had mainly positive experiences at this one ever since I made it my main pharmacy earlier this year. The store part of this CVS is improving because they just installed self-checkouts, preventing the lines from getting too long at the front of the store. I go here because the pharmacy is open 24 hours, which is a rare find in this area. Because they are the largest CVS in the area, they are likely to have my medications in stock. I have several medications and have to visit the pharmacy at least once a week. They are nice to me and accommodating. They don't get frustrated when I call to ask questions. Overall, I appreciate the friendly staff here and how helpful they have been. read more

This CVS is a nightmare. Regardless of when I go to this CVS, the lines are always long and the staff are always slow. Today, for example, I visited the CVS pharmacy counter to simply drop off a prescription. I was behind a woman that clearly needed her hand held and as I waited, I noticed five staff members chatting in the pharmacy while I waited in line for 10 minutes. Any other prescription store is better. They can lose prescription and try to kick you off with 5 different reasons. 1. We don't have anything for you 2. Refills are no longer valid. 3. Insurance won't pay - doctor must be contacted. 4. We don't have prescription (I gave them 40 mins ago) 5. Pharmacy review ONLY: This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. Read the rest of the reviews of this pharmacy and you'll see that everyone says the same thing. This place sucks! They are ridiculously slow at everything. I've had refills done on the phone and online and selected certain pick-up times but when I actually go there to pick it up, they tell me that it's not ready. Isn't that the whole point of picking a time? Also, their system sucks and they will lose track of your refills/prescriptions. It's happened to me so many times. Also, some of their staff is so rude. I had to call them since they tried charging me for a medication that my insurance covered. After confirming with my insurance company that I do not have to pay for this, I tried explaining to CVS that they were charging it to the incorrect code and was told that I was an idiot and they knew what they were doing. The tech lady on the phone actually tried to make me feel bad about wasting her time with my issue because she had other customers waiting. What kind of customer service is that?! After 2 hours of phone calls back and forth between them and my insurnace company, they finally figured out that they (CVS) messed up. When I went to the pharmacy, they told me there was nothing for me. After I asked them to check it for me again as I knew my doctor has dropped the prescription. Then the lady said yeah we did have one but your insurance won't cover it. I asked why I did not get a call from CVS in advance so I did not have to come. The lady said we called. I found they called my old phone and did not bother called the secondary phone listed next line. They said we only call the primary phone and said it is a phone number nobody used and our policy is not to call secondary phone ever. Well, if so what the point to have the second phone number? They did not provide any recommendation what to do next and did not contact my doctor about it either. Bad. Very sad. read more

My original purpose for visiting store number 1513 was to drop off my unwanted medications. I arrived at the store in my wheelchair and found the aisle very narrow; I was able to get to the back of the store and found the "box" with a note that said "temp out of service". I turned around and quickly discovered there were NO aisles that were accessible. Immediately, I asked for the store manager. I talked to A.P, Abdul Paye and he apologized and assured me the next time I came in it would be totally different. A week later, I went in again to drop off my unwanted medications; the same box had a sign that said "temp out of service". AGAIN I found the aisles NOT accessible. I immediately asked for A.P. and was greeted by Idriss. He said that "A.P is not in the store at the moment. Later he disclosed that it was his day off". I then asked for A.P. supervisors name or contact information and his reply was "I don't know and I have no idea how to contact them." I am shocked that CVS is a national chain store and their answers were all obscure. !! All I want is to get in and out of a store in a wheelchair. This is the year 2018 almost 2019 !!!!! read more
