I went to the store on Saturday May 1st to get a COVID shot. There was a small booth setup to administer these shots, but no customers could be seen. I asked if I could get a shot but was told I need an appointment. I went to the pharmacy to see if I can make an appointment and the lady behind the pharmacy counter called the Pharmacist. the Pharmacist told me they are 100% booked and they have no spare vaccines. I could come later and if someone missed they appointment I might be able to get it. She also said due to a lack of vaccines this would be their last day giving the vaccine. I decided to go online using my phone and check for appointments. While online I saw that almost every single appointment time slot was available. I was easily able to book the next time slot. I showed them my phone and was given the vaccine. I was asked to hang out around the store for a little while to make sure I have no adverse reaction. I did, and one thing I noticed was a lack of people getting the vaccine. I don't understand with all the hype on the news about this virus why she lied to me about not having the vaccine, when they had plenty. I have heard it is because they don't want to open a whole case if they don't think they will use it as they will have to throw it away. I'm not sure if that is the reason or if the pharmacy lady didn't have access to see the appointment slots, whatever it was, she should have been honest about it and not look me in the eye and lie. read more

This has been my pharmacy for 15 years due to convenience. The service has always been marginal. Today, they refused to fill a prescription because the date written was not perfect. It was still legible but they were over the top difficult in a time sensitive circumstance. The prescription was easily filled at the next Cvs down the street. Bottom line- this crew is inexperienced with no motivation for customer service. read more

I am ALL for customer service. I have worked in customer service jobs for 5 years and I highly believe in ALWAYS treating the customers kindly, even if you have to fake it!!! I hate to have to give a bad review based on 2 very grumpy employees, but it's an experience I had and simply want to share it. I got to the counter ready to purchase, and the cashier lady was talking to someone. Looked like it was a friend, because she clearly wasn't buying anything. They were just talking. I stood there in line for at least a minute, before she looked over at me and said "Ready?" Um, yes. I am. Why else would I just awkwardly be standing there with items in my hands? I said hi, and she didn't respond. Didn't say hi or ask me how I am... she just started checking out my things. Then she proceeded to complain to her coworker at the register behind her about personal problems she was having. I don't remember details but something along the lines of, "I'm so pissed. I'm still so angry"- something or other. I finished my transaction without a hello or a "have a good day." Isn't that just common courtesy, especially as a clerk? I also have always learned to never let your customers hear your personal conversations. It's very unprofessional. Anyway, my sister who was also with me, checked out with a different lady at a different register. She did not seem very enthusiastic either, as she still continued chatting with the other lady. My sister even joked with her and asked her if she was having a good day so far. No answer. REALLY? That is just embarrassing as a customer service clerk. Honestly if you really think about it, it's not that big of a deal at all. But for a drug store, reviews really are only based on the quality of the employees and the customer service. I happened to be passing through Folsom on my way home from vacation a few days ago and realized there was a list of a few things I needed from the store. I knew if I didn't get the few things I needed before I got home in Sacramento, I would just set the list aside and would forget about the things until I went to do something and didn't have what I needed. I thought immediately Safeway, but realized I wanted to be in and out, not stuck in a long line wishing I was finally home so I decided I'd make a quick stop into the CVS I remembered was nearby. I am glad I made that decision. It wasn't busy, but of course with COVID every place has so limited staff, I saw the employees all working to get stuff done while one cashier helped help the customers ready to check out. I had a hard time finding one of the things I needed (I probably would have made it easier on myself if I went to a hardware store) nonetheless I asked an employee working in one of the isles organizing and stocking items where I could find this item. The employee's name was Troy, He knew exactly where it was and was happy to set a side what he was doing to walk me right to it. I then got to the register where I guy named Marshall rang me up, I always love when s store has great employees. He was super nice, and there weren't any customers behind me in line so him and I had a short conversation that left me glad I made the stop here, instead of putting it off. Really impressed with this CVS; Troy and Marshall were awesome to talk to, the store was clean, and if I'm ever in Folsom again I will make sure I make a pit stop by this store instead of dealing with any sort of store in Sacramento. Continued excellent service from the pharmacy here. They treat me like family. All know me by name. They go out of their way to provide great service and make sure I fully understand everything I need to know when prescribed new medications. You'd think you'd be treated like a number here based on the fact that it's a large corporate pharmacy; however, that is the furthest thing from the truth. Almost every prescription "was never sent by the doctor". Doctors office has confirmation of their receipt of prescription every single time. Scrips are NEVER ready when they say. I have had to go back for the same scrip 4 times over a period of a week and a half, still not ready. This pharmacy literally can not do the one thing it's designed for. We have been coming to this pharmacy for about 15 years and haven't had any issues...until a little over a year ago. Since then, we have not had one single prescription filled without having some kind of an issue. Sometimes CVS says they can't find the prescription even though the doctor has already sent it. Other times CVS tells me to come back hours later to pick up my meds and when I do they still aren't ready. Not once in the past year has it been as easy as the doctor calling the prescription in and me being able to go pick it up, which is how it should be. Because of the proximity to our house we were hoping that CVS would iron out their issues, but this last time finally convinced us that it's time to go elsewhere. My mother, who suffers from asthma and COPD had a prescription for a new rescue treatment sent to this CVS. This prescription was about the only thing that would keep her out of the hospital. We kept calling CVS and they kept claiming they didn't have the prescription. Every time we called the doctors office they said it had been sent. Unfortunately, CVS couldn't get this problem resolved by the time the weekend hit (and the doctor's office was closed) and they were still claiming they didn't have the prescription. Luckily I had some leftover rescue treatments for my asthma to give my mom to get her through the weekend so she didn't have to go to the ER. When Monday rolled around and we called CVS, they suddenly claimed they had had the medication in their system for the past five days. Their idiotic mistake could have sent my mom to the hospital. We are done and will be going elsewhere. If I could give it zero stars, I would! I strongly recommend you stay as far away from this place as possible! read more

Maybe OTHER staff is friendly, but never pharmacy! Give you attitude the minute they see you... give you time estimates that they pull out of their ... air! If you come back five minutes earlier (with you being sick and all and wanting some relief for your child)... they give you more attitude! 'I told you 30mins and it's been 25minutes'. This is the most incompetent CVS I have ever been to. On my CVS account, it said that my prescription was ready for pick up and was filled. When I got here, they proceeded to tell me that it was on hold (would've have been nice to know before I drove 30 minutes to get here) and that I would have to wait another 20 minutes for it to be ready. I decided to just wait in the store and took a seat. After about 20 minutes, I looked over to what the pharmacy technician was doing and turns out she is filling OTHER people's prescriptions despite me being the customer who was physically waiting in the store. Finally, I asked the pharmacist how much longer and she says "oh they have been ready". I would've thought they would let me know but apparently not. I ended up waiting over an hour just to get two prescriptions that were supposedly "filled". I will not be returning to this CVS and will be switching to the one inside Target. read more

Everyone at this CVS works extremely hard to meet their customer's satisfaction and work with good intentions. Never had a bad experience and those who rate it low seem to forgot that pharmacists/employees are only human. The pharmacist here is an ass. The techs have great customer service and are very helpful. The pharmacist multiple times has insisted on consults when I have had the medication before wasting my time. In addition, not refilling a prescription because I had two by two different doctors. Yes, that's what happens when you go to the hospital and are discharged. The pharmacist was/ and said he contacted my doctor about a prescription which he never did. Then when I called it in this morning I was told it would be ready at 3pm. Nope, was told my doctor needed to be contacted which I had been to an hr before. If that was the case I would've walked in with a script. The communication is horrible between the pharmacist, techs, and customer. The pharmacist is not helpful and is plain rude! read more

Awful "customer service" I've just received from Maryam at the pharmacy drive through. I pulled up and she came over, picked up the phone and said "Sqsdfa asdfuia..." Not understanding (as she may have straightway asked for info, I said "I'm sorry?" She rolled her eyes and said "CAN I HELPPP YOU?!" Taken aback by her attitude I just said "yes, I'm here to pick up my rx for ____" and gave her my ID/credit card, which I already had out and ready. W/o another word she grabbed it and walked away, coming back with my items & throwing my id and receipt in the basket on a clipboard, but not clipped in, so it was difficult to get everything out to sign and I was afraid the tiny receipt would fall. She glared at me as I picked up the basket to get the tiny clipboard, pen stuck in the basket underneath, and signed. After I gave her the signed receipt back she but the bag with my long, wavy receipt on top so that it immediately blew away when the drawer opened. I asked for another so I wouldn't have to chase it all over the parking lot and she literally immediately shrugged with raised eyebrows, rolling her eyes and said "NO, I can't do anything about it!!!" glaring at me annoyed by my existence. How about be logical and put the receipt under bags of prescriptions when you know the drawer pulls out and a gust of wind may be likely. It was like she enjoyed it as a power trip. I will never go to CVS again. Lucky for my family, Walgreens is closer. read more

This pharmacy and its people are terrible!! We moved to Folsom 19 years ago and started using this pharmacy because it was close to our home. We soon switched pharmacies because of their terrible service. Now, Belair's Pharmacy closed and unfortunately they transferred our prescriptions were automatically switched back to this CVS. I was not very happy, but thought I'd give them another try. They still suck! Our first prescription has remained unfilled for over a week with ZERO customer service. I am a CVS card member and I purchased some hygiene and makeup that I wanted to try for the 1st time, I spend over $100. That same day I went back to return items that I wasn't satisfied with. The cashier and supervisor wanted to give me a CVS voucher because the return amount was over $25. I paid with my ATM card which I should be able to get the money refunded back on my card. How absurd is this policy. I had go back multiple times to return items separately in order to get my money back. NOT SHOPPING AT CVS EVER! read more

I was very disappointed with the service with the pharmacy. When you have a sick child and go to multiple places to get the prescription filled a little compassion can go a long way. I respect when it's the end of the day and you're still busy but whether you realize it or not your exasperation doesn't help the stress level of the parent. They must need more help or their work flows updated to handle the apparent volume they deal with so that the patient doesn't suffer. read more

This location is nice and clean. Came here for Christmas sale and they have great stuff for 50% off! They had a nice selection of ornaments and candies for sale. Worst service EVER in the pharmacy. There is an employee who is either undertrained or unqualified for the job. Spent 15 min at the drive through waiting for the car ahead then 5 more before having to go inside to complete my purchase. The pharmacist seemed quite disorganized and frequently distracted by the same employee referred to above which resulted in an additional 20 min. Wait for my RX. Total time 40 min. Ridiculous experience at CVS in Folsom (2790 E Bidwell St.) They continue to bait you into buying a specific item based on their coupon system. At checkout the coupons don't work and the incompetent Manager could not explain why or even better he could not and would not rectify the issue. Another bad CVS experience...again, most everything was exempt from my 40% discount. Today when the cashier rang up my entire bill it took 40% off The least expensive item when I asked her to use the most expensive and ring the Rest up separately she said she would ring the one item and then I would have to take the remainder of the items and get behind the person in line behind me and loose my place. To me that comment was not entirely her fault but a training customer satisfaction issue. I was trying to give CVS one last chance, it's almost every time I go to a CVS with one of my CVS coupons for one reason or another they say the coupon is not valid. For example the other day I went and tried to use the 40% coupon on a buy one get one free deal I only bought one item. And I tried to explain to the cashier that the one item was at regular price because I did not buy the second so that was really no discount but she would still not except the 40% discount. I've been wanting to write a review for this CVS location in Broadstone for years now...This is absolutely the best pharmacy that I've ever worked with. I have a running joke with them,,,that between my meds and my moms, we keep them in business. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. The pharmacists are always ready to answer any of my questions and take the time to explain any new medication. The drive thru is a great time saver. I recenly moved from Folsom to El Dorado Hills, and still us this pharmacy!!! Great job!! read more
