Worst pharmacy ever. I have gone there several times because they are less expensive than some, and because I have other shopping to do. I guess always hoping that "this time" it won't be an issue. But I have a problem at least half the time.
The problems I encounter are they are "out" of a medication. Not something bizarre and unusual, a routine medication. It can take them 2 weeks to get restocked. Walmart!
Another time, I checked the pricing on goodrx.com and used that "code" to place my order. When I got a refill, the price was double what it had been before, and I argued with them, but they insisted that was the price and nothing they could do. There was a line of people waiting so I paid and took a seat, so I could contact GoodRx to try to sort it out. They told me to show the Walmart people the code again and insist that they honor their contract with GoodRx. So I looked up the code, waited in line again and argued with a different pharmacy tech. It was a hassle and time consuming, but they finally refunded me the overcharge.
This last time, I had an Rx for a "controlled substance." Not their fault that the laws make it incredibly awkward to get such an Rx filled, even for something as low grade as Norco. SInce the prescribing doctor is in L.A. (a different "region") for some reason that requires them to confirm the Rx by calling the doctor's office and speaking to the physician! OK, again, not their fault on that. They promised me they would take care of it the next morning, so the next evening I returned. No Rx. They hadn't been able to talk to the doctor yet. They assured me they would call me when it was ready.
Having not heard from them two days later, I finally called my doctor and they told me they had spoken to Walmart and that they would follow up with them. I called Walmart and spoke to a tech there, and he tells me, "It's ready and has been here waiting for you." He insisted they had called me, and left a message. But we have voice mail, copies of which are kept online and a log of incoming calls. No such call ever came in. So far, 3 trips to Walmart for this one Rx and hoping that 4th time will be the charm. read more
