These unprofessional and unethical scam artists have been lying to me and agreeing to send an important brand name and hard to get RX by mail to me since last Thursday. This was confirmed that they had it for me by a pharmacist at my local CVS. I have been contacted over and over by the Escondido location with lies, errors, deceit, contradictory statements, and now, after it was explicitly promised to me in a conversation with Erica the store manager on Saturday on her personal cell phone, with her representing that it would be mailed to me without fail or other aberrations first thing today Monday Aug 7 2023, she contacted me today to say she could not have it sent due to another error. This item is in short supply and they have been stringing me along for days. With many lies/delays and now refusing to send it. She said she would send me a photo of the problem unit that they had and were supposed to send on Thursday, then Saturday, then today, and now refuse to send today, and she has not done this ( emailed the photo). The item was reserved for me on Thursday and then they tried to pass off a generic. She said that Jimmie the pharmacist would call me asap and he has not. They do not pick up their phone. read more

Absolute WORST pharmacy I have EVER been to. Not even just pharmacy - PLACE. Drive an extra 5 minutes to ANYWHERE ELSE. It will be WELL WORTH IT. I had one other experience that was HORRIBLE. The pharmacist literally threw my prescription papers on the ground and slammed her fold-desk up when I asked if they had a restroom for my PREGNANT WIFE. ZERO compassion. The worst CVS pharmacy. Nobody answers the phone lines. This is supposed to be a 24 hour clinic. So when I needed emergency epi pen post a severe anaphylactic reaction at the hospital they sent my prescription here so I could pick it up immediately, same night. Showed up to the pharmacy, the 24 hour store is closed. Called, no answer. Called again the next day. No answer. Called again and waited on the line for 15 minutes before someone from the pharmacy answers and goes our store is closed I'm hanging up now. This is after 9am mind you. Super professional. Change your hours online if you're not going to be 24/7 and get some employees capable of picking up a telephone when it rings. read more

I been going to this CVS for years, it started off as a great place for scripts to be filled but lately there service sucks. I now had 4 of my script not filled incorrectly missing 2 to 10 pills out of my meds they filled for me. I called to tell them, but they start right away that a family member or nurse that monitors my intake of meds might be stealing it, instead of looking at the security camera to figure it out first. The first and second time this happened they found out there employees where taking meds from sick people who needs it. This place needs to be under investigation for stealing opiates and nerve medication. Make sure they count your medications infront of you when picking up. So I had to go to Kaiser to get the prescription refilled, through my app. Unfortunately for me they had computer issues, I have to say the person at Kaiser was about as mechanical as a robot and had no empathy or sympathy for my situation so I was feeling a little frustrated due to the fact it was 830 at night and the pharmacy closed at 9pm in Escondido. Needless to say I went to the CVS pharmacy in Escondido, they had a young man there I apologize I didn't get his name the pharmacist but he was a rockstar.... his hustle, attention to detail, and the way he faced the challenges of being overwhelmed by business was a true attribute to his professionalism. Almost 3 months ago I had a significant problem with the Pharmacy. I was so frustrated. But, there's a Pharmacist and a Pharmacy Tech who went above and beyond to help me with the problem. I like this store in that it is a convenient location, it is open 24-hours, and I really like the pharmacy staff. My only problem with this store is they are always seriously understaffed. They do not have enough people behind the counter to fill prescriptions, to work the pickup counter and the drop off/help counter, or to answer the phones. If you have to call the pharmacy for anything, expect to be on hold for an hour or more. I do not blame the staff as they are wonderful. And this store always has more pharmacy costumers in store than any other CVS I have ever been to. And they have the same number of pharmacy staff as stores with the half the customers. I have to assume that either the manager does not know how to adequately staff a store based on volume, or the manager does not care and is increasing bottom line at the expense of customer service and satisfaction, or the Corporation is dictating staff levels with a staffing model that uses roughly the same number of pharmacy staff regardless of pharmacy volume. Again, I must stress I like the pharmacy staff, it is the inadequate number of staff that is problematic. read more

I have to say that this CVS has a little of every thing you need and things you didn't know you need hahahaha. They have tons of cool gadgets, as seen on tv, makeup and skin care or beauty products as well. Escondido as a city tends to close early and so it is nice that CVS is open and available in case you need something or especially if you are someone you love is sick I the middle of the night. They usually have great deals on vitamins. I have gotten some great makeup and skin care products here and what is shocking is thy often have a specialist who works in the beauty section who knows about the products and what sales are going on as well. I have gotten a few late night oven meals here after a night of studying or for an impromptu movie night! They also have great alcohol sets that come out at Christmas time that are great for gifts or for you and come with near glasses or drinkware for a great price. They also have plenty of things here for gifts and you can something for anyone here to so perfect late night shopping. read more

Location is super convenient, located near many other businesses if you need to run other errands while you wait for your prescription to be filled. Staff is nice, patient, efficient, and competent. They seem organized most of the time and are very focused on attending to customers. My only qualms are that a few times they couldn't find my prescription and had to search high and low for it, and they have on multiple occasions had to place special orders for my prescriptions because they seem to run out of stock now and then. Otherwise, they're great. I also love that they text me when my prescriptions are ready, and send reminder texts as well. I will definitely be coming here for the foreseeable future. The only other pharmacy nearby is Vons about a mile west on El Norte Pkwy. Don't waste your time with them. Just come to CVS and you will be much much happier!!! read more

Unfortunately I will not be back to this location. I came later in the evening, around 10 pm, to pick up some personal items. As I entered the establishment a security guard threatened that he would have to search my backpack before I left. Mind you I had just stepped through the doors. It is a small backpack that I use as a purse. I understand if the store has a problem with theft that their options are limited, but the current situation absolutely deters an honest customer from returning. I've gone to this pharmacy on 3 separate occasions and had bad experiences all 3 times. Every time I go, the line to pick up your Rx takes 20-40 minutes. The third time, they were closed until 7pm because the system was down. I returned at 7:00 and waited in line for 30 minutes just to be told my Rx was not ready and would take an hour to fill even though the doctor called in the prescription earlier. Horrible pharmacy! Transferred all my prescriptions here as I moved up here about 5 years ago and finally decided to do that . They handled it all and did it very efficiently . They send telephone alerts as well about each specific medication as to whether they can fill or not . Also , recently had some new ones filled and they were very quick . It is a 25 hour so it is going to be busy . It was not when I went but turned around and there were suddenly 12 people . Well stocked CVS to shop , kahoots , vons , Starbucks, and a few restaurants to go to while you wait if you are dropping off . This cvs store suffers from the same issue that all retail stores suffer from. The corporation in its great wisdom is trying to find the bleeding edge of its workers. How can we have the least amount of employees who work the least number of hours to keep the majority of the items stocked and maximize the money we make. Which would be par for the course but cvs (pharmacies) is a required part of our healthcare. Humans need the ointments and tablets and whatever else medicine they sell to is at the highest price the market can bare. As I sit here, the 24 hour pharmacy is closing for lunch because cvs can't give them enough employees to cover the issues that come with humans, sickness, childrens sickness, lives outside of their jobs they have to have in order to feed themselves. They also (again great wisdom) pay their employees the least possible. They start at minimum wage which is cvs saying to their employees "we would pay you less, but we're not legally allowed to" Which is an a awesome thing to hear from your employer. read more

I am not one to usually complain or assist in giving a retail store a bad rap but this stores Customer Service in the Pharmacy is intolerable. They are way under staffed leaving long lines that take upto 30 minutes to get through and then hours to wait for the prescription to be filled. The products arent well stocked and maintained which make it impossible to purchase everything I need in one spot. There is an older gentleman who works nights at the cash register who is an absolute doll and anytime I see him I feel enlightened and entertained by his presence. He is by far the only nice thing about this location. Unless its evening time, I will gladly drive the extra mile down to the Woodland Parkway corner CVS whose Pharmacy staff is amazing and prompt. read more

Decent CVS. The plaza that this CVS is in has a lot of riffraff (tweakers) and you need to keep your eyes open, especially at night. The good news is the cops are well aware of this place and keep an eye on it. The CVS staff is usually nice and pleasant. The Pharmacy here is hit and miss, lines can be unnecessarily long, pharmacy staff isn't very friendly, and many drugs aren't in stock. Place is OK, just be careful at night. read more

Pharmacy here is always packed but they get us through and are usually nice. The front end is a whole story in its self. Went to grab just a couple things I needed for my grandsons birthday and so I decide to go through self check out. Simple...nope.....scanned the card and boom, says I need assistance, there are 3 people at the registers, one very close to the machine I'm at, sees I need help, the machine is sayin wait for assistance very loudly. Well I have patience and wait. The cashiers, one being the manager takes another customer before coming any helping me. So I decide I will just go to a register. The minute I step up to be checked out the manager tells the cashier I walk up to, to close and I can wait til she's done. I lost my shit. For one, I've been waiting for 10 minutes for a very simple transaction. Mind you all the customers that were taken arrived to the line after my machine alerted it needed someone to put a code or some crap in. Needless to say, if I need anything from CVS I will always just grab it and go to the pharmacy when I have a prescription to pick up. The MinuteClinic runs the covid19 rapid testing site at this CVS location. When I went for my 8:45 am rapid test, no one was there. I went inside and asked a store employee, and they told me to check the pharmacy. The pharmacy called a manager (who never came), and when I asked the pharmacy again, they called a regional manager who said that the rapid testing was run by MinuteClinic. I then waited until the Minute clinic opened, and by then there were four people who were waiting for their rapid testing, the nurse on duty was a "Floater" and did not work at that location typically, so she called a manager. Finally an hour after my scheduled appointment, she informed me that this location was closed for today and that I would need to find another location to test (as if it is that easy to find a test the same day). I never received a cancellation notice from my email, text messages, etc. I actually received a text telling me how to prepare for my visit... I would not recommend this location. read more

No options to check out other than self-check-out! I needed to make a purchase last night and I don't understand new technology easily because of a TBI resulting in damage and impairment. There was an employee at the check-out area, she told me she was sorry, but the only options to check-out were the self-check-out lanes. I was unable to make my purchase because she would not help me. This is horrible, it's happened to me before at another CVS and now I will never shop at CVS again, no location, ever! I would love to discuss this with management, so you can lie to me again and tell me it's corporate policy to open a check stand when a customer asks, but in reality, in the real world, your employees do not do so. I feel profiled when I walk into your stores. I am slow and take my time because everything is harder for me, but it never gets me offers of help, just the opposite at CVS, you refuse me help. I've been going to this location for over a decade and man has it been going downhill lately. First of all your blonde haired male secret shopper is extremely obvious when walking around and it's really uncomfortable having a man follow young girls around a makeup isle you should probably hire a female secret shopper to watch over young women so they done feel uncomfortable and scared. He also should tone down his outfits because people who steal don't actually wear those ridiculous punk outfits! He looks like he's straight out of the movie Empire Records. I'm from east county , and I unfortunately needed to get my prescription transferred to this specific location and the pharmacy is very unresponsive. I called periodically to check my prescription on when it would be ready from 2pm till 8pm just for them to finally tell Me they didn't carry my prescription. After trying to call 5 times and being put on hold each time for 30-45 minutes each time . It was very frustrating knowing I'm 6 months pregnant on bed rest . They couldn't have let me know when I originally called to tell me they didn't carry what I needed . Or think to call me instead of having me wait all afternoon and almost all night. Then proceed to tell me that they tried to get in contact with my dr , when it's past business hours first of all .
