CVS is LUCKY I'm being generous with my rating. I was waiting in a rather long line to pick up a prescription. Just got done with work, it was late afternoon and hot inside the store. When it was my turn, finally, a woman called me to the counter. But then she immediately DISAPPEARED! When she returned several minutes later, she started helping the customer next to me. Meantime, not one but two customers BEHIND me in line were already served at another register! When she told me to "hold on" I told her that she already walked away while the other customers were served. That's when a THIRD person went to the other register. At that point I said that the cashier at that register should be serving ME, not the other customer because that customer was THREE places behind me. When the woman started making weird excuses, I overpowered what she was saying, telling her that I'm not gonna put up with her nonsense and mistreatment. I got my message across because she told the other worker to come help me instead, which he did. I think the reason why is because she didn't know what she was doing. Monello (not sure the spelling) was the guy that helped me. He went through the entire process like he was on steroids! He guided me on the screen inputs and then did the rest tapping all the stuff that has to be entered, rang me up, and I was finished before I even KNEW I was finished! So, you probably already figured out how I arrived at my rating. That's right. The offensive treatment by the women server immediately dropped it to the minimum - one star. But when Manello took over, his service was outstanding which drove it up a notch! read more

This review is specifically for Zahra Karamshahi (license 72291) who is one of the pharmacists at this location. I had a very negative experience when picking up my prescriptions. My phone was very quietly playing a prerecorded staff meeting that was time sensitive for me and she became very rude telling me to go and sit down and became very argumentative when I tried to explain that it was not a call. The volume was very low and did not interfere with our interactions and I was giving her my full attention and was not even looking at the screen. There are much more polite ways to address a customer if you believe they are breaking a store policy. As a RN myself, I am appalled by the dismissive and disrespectful tone she spoke to me with and cannot fathom treating anyone in my care the way she treated me. She continued to berate me as I turned and walked away from the pharmacy desk. When I told my husband the story later he knew exactly who I was talking about because she has also treated him poorly. There are many pharmacies in our community. I would recommend going somewhere else where you will be treated with dignity and respect because this pharmacist lacks the skills to do so. It's disappointing to know that someone in her position feels entitled to treat the people she is employed to help with such blatant insolence. read more

Noemi in the beauty department was extremely rude. Walked up and asked where the nail cutters were with my girlfriend. She told us where. We pressed the button for help and she walked up and said next time don't press the button when I'm walking up in a rude tone and visibly upset. I said to her why did you say that ? We didn't know . She lied and said she told us she was on her way when we asked. Mind you she wasn't walking up when we left her and i didn't know she would be the one to help I don't work here and figured she was just stocking . Once again don't work here don't know how everything's handled. She claimed she said she was in her way but that was a lie. she became argumentative and kept lieing about what she said. I asked for her name or the manager and she gave us the silent treatment at that point. Mind you I got Sudafed right before this the same way by pressing the button and having an employee help and that woman was extremely nice and helpful. Noemi needs to check her attitude. When you work in customer service you should be nice and attentive not rude and overbearing for no particular reason. My husband had a 9:30 a.m. flu shot appointment that was suddenly canceled by CVS at 8:20 a.m., even though we did not cancel it. He still went in and was assisted by an employee named Zara, who was rude and unprofessional. She gave him the shot with an attitude and walked away when he said thank you. Went in to use ATM tonight , pulled out money than had to go to cashier to deposit it onto my Chime card . The lady originally helping me was wonderful! She's usually always the only one up front being helpful and super nice . The man who came over( long hair and was also talking on the phone the entire interaction) to count out each 20 as if she didn't just do that along with also having an attitude with me , a customer looking for an item on the isle and the customer getting alcohol behind me . Unbelievable to the point of being scary. My prescriptions were transferred first to east valley parkway and then center city. I had no say in the transfer. Over the last 3 weeks, I was flat out lied to about whether the drive through was ever open. Oh yeah, we just have 4 people on vacation so it's closed. I have not seen it open 1 time in three weeks. I received a call to welcome me to CVS and was given a toll free number to call because "they had important information for me". I called and while on the call requested a refill for a medication that had been transferred from Walgreens. No problem I will have that ready for you tomorrow. I said well I couldn't get over there until Friday, the next day. So while I have you please request a refill on another medication. No problem. The refill was requested, but they neglected to include what pharmacy to send it to. That requires me to physically go to the drs. Office. Not cvs fault but I'm disabled so that requires Uber. My spouse and I go in on Friday early afternoon. The prescription that they'll supposedly were going ready on Thursday has not been filled neither had the one my physician approved on Thursday afternoon Then the told me I didn't have refills for the original prescription. The one that would be ready Thursday morning. We got that straightened out and verified than another medication that had been sent over would be filled, oh yeah no problem. I had asked in person on two different occasions previous to this to make sure there wasn't goingbto be an issue with this medication and assured there wouldn't be a problem So okay they have nothing ready of the 3 .we decide we will come back on Saturday and request a refill on another medication. Takes them a while to find that because I have 2 profiles. I don't know why I have 2 profiles. But at this point I have asked them 3 times to fix that because it confuses them. Then there was confusion about yet another medication that I had refills for before the Walgreens transfer. On Saturday, they have some of the prescriptions ready. But not the one that I had specifically asked 3 times if there would be an issue. I know, I take a lot of medication, it sucks, I'm a chronic pain patient and now have another condition that requires medication that I have to take on schedule or it becomes dangerous as does not taking my other medications. I go in on Monday and show the woman helping me the bottle that indicates I have 3 refills until December 2025. First they can't find it. Then they say it's expired so I educated them that dec. 2025 is in the future. I ask what all the confusion is and she tells me they only transferred the prescriptions that had refills for. So I showed her the bottle again, we did this dance 3 times before I said to her, ok look at this bottle again and acknowledge that I do have refills for this medication and you should have it on file. OK she acknowledged it, but she can't help me because she can't see my profile I need to go to the consultation window . There is a couple already there dealing with a similar issue. It is taking along time so these nice people let me go first because they can see I am struggling with my disability and there is no accommodations for disabled individuals anywhere near the consultation window. The Pharmacist that helps me has zero affect, cannot figure anything out and cannot address the numerous issues I have. I literally said to this woman, I understand that there might be issues related to the transfer but I have been trying to resolve these things for three weeks. If this lack of organization and rude inefficient customer service is the way you operate here, just tell me. I'll go somewhere else. I need to be able to count on my pharmacy as part of my health care chain. Blank stare but she scolds me because I have 2 profiles. I didn't create 2 profiles, they did, but I have asked them to correct that 3 times over 3 weeks. She tells me she'll tell the manager and I wonder why aren't I being helped by a manager given my issues. There are two clerks, one of which is actively filling a prescription that should have already been filled. They both know that things have been screwed up on my prescriptions several times . I am not shouting or cursing at this woman that has again tried to explain that the reason a certain prescription us because I didn't have refills that aren't expired. I am holding the bottle in my hand that shows I have 3 refills until 12/25 and again explain that 12/25 is a date in the future. The transfer of my prescriptions to CVS has been nothing short of a nightmare. You cannot call the pharmacy and talk to a human under any circumstance, you must send a text and wait for a call back. The employees that aren't outside RUDE (most of them are) are overworked. THE RUDE ONES ARE ALSO A CAN SHY IF A SIXPACK AND SHOULD NOT BE IN A POSITION WHERE THEY CAN IMPACT SOMEONES HEALTH. If I could give minus stars I would. Pharmacy is, hands-down, the worst I've ever been to. Pharmacy staff overwhelmed and overworked, which leads to very poor customer service and patient care for folks who use pharmacy. Some of the pharmacists, not all, are capricious and arbitrary in their treatment of folks with chronic conditions. I have family members that have experienced this. The over-the-counter medicines are also locked up, and you have to get staff to open the case for you to get a product. Beware, CVS Caremark is a monopoly with the bottom line being profits for shareholders. They don't care about you. Even though this is the most convenient store for me to go to, I'm transferring all prescriptions out after 6 years here. Too many frustrations. I'm done. If you can go elsewhere please do. Their automated online pharmacy system is cumbersome and clunky and doesn't work well. Dirty, tired store with limited selection. read more

Always have issues with pharmacy orders. When ordering a prescription that may be out of stock, they fail to reorder and sit on the prescription until you call and complain. Then you wait additional days for them to receive. Pharmacist told me that it is expensive medication and they don't want to lose money if I don't pick it up. Apparently, they need additional phone calls each month to assure them you are serious about picking up your medication. This is all after you receive a text claiming they are ordering it. Every month, I go days without my meds because the issue happens every month. This is unacceptable. Be cautious with any meds that are dangerous to miss as you may not receive them in a timely manner. They also won't take phone calls anymore and require you to leave a voicemail and wait for a return call. Hands down, terrible customer service. read more

The most recent happened with a request for the best price on a prescription not covered by insurance and was actually yelled at on the phone that she didn't like coupons and couldn't waste any more time checking a coupon price. CVS what is the matter with you? The CDC recommended almost 2 weeks ago that seniors get another booster of the booster we got in September! How come your pharmacist does not know this. She did not listen to me. I did not ask about a new updated shot. She said she had not heard of one. Hint: because there isn't one.But that is not what I asked and not what the CDC said! I am over 65 in the group the CDC recommended. She told me to ask my Doctor! Uh no I don't have to ask my doctor. Decent store. The other location that used to be Longs will be closing at the end of January, so this will be the only location on the East end of Escondido. It's close to the house, so it's where I het my prescriptions. The line can get pretty long, especially if someone has a problem with their insurance, etc. So don't come after work on a weekday, that's the worst. The employees are all friendly. Sometimes the machines don't work properly (not their fault), or things aren't stocked properly when they should be (kinda their fault) or price signs aren't correct (also their fault). It's still better than Walgreens, and with coupons, sales, and Extra Bucks, a lot cheaper too. read more

This pharmacy is horrific. Staff is so rude, you can't get through to anyone and if you finally do they are down right nasty. Don't tell people to use the app that is not useful and then be discourteous when people call saying they need more help because your app is useless. This location never have meds in stock, won't let you know that and when you push to find out what is happening with your prescription, they make ZERO effort to actually help you. This has happened multiple times to me. If things are out of their control, that's fine but make up with it with compassion and human decency, which these people have none of. The store is also always dirty and unkempt. I would suggest saving yourself time and frustration and choosing a different pharmacy from the get go. read more

I don't know what is wrong with this location. They are very disorganized and unable to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion. I put my refills in yesterday and nearly 24 hours later, they're still not ready. I asked them when I drove there, when they would be ready and the response is completely unacceptable- "we just don't know when they'll be ready". I asked them why don't you know? We came here to pick up some snacks and cereal. I definitely like the CVS stores in San Diego. This location was clean and organized. I definitely liked this location a lot. We ended up picking up cereal that was $1.69 or something like that. I'm literally writing this feeling tired from driving and the heat. Haha. Anyway, plenty of parking up front. Not too many people in the store when we were shopping. Plenty of carts in the store too. Plenty of selection to choose from here. Being a makeup junkie, I ended up buying two Maybelline lipsticks. Less than one star for the pharmacy. The cashier is required to ask if you want a shingles vaccination now and we said no. The cashier CANNOT ring up your prescription order without the pharmacists approval and override on the actual cash register. So there we are waiting to get our prescriptions and leave but the pharmacist WAS ON THE PHONE FOR 5 MINUTES so we and another customer in the next line were there waiting, too. Even though we were there first, the pharmacist helped the other guy first so we had to wait even longer. AFTER FINALLY SHOWING UP the pharmacist asked us the same exact thing the cashier asked which was if we wanted to get the shingles vaccination and we said no. OUR "NO" WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH and the pharmacist tried to pitch it to us again and we had to say PLEASE LET US LEAVE THE STORE!!! Then and only then were we finally allowed to pay and leave the store. ANOTHER RIDICULOUS POLICY THAT HURTS THE SICK CUSTOMER WHO JUST WANTS TO GET THEIR MEDS AND GET HOME TO GET BETTER!! WILL BE FINDING ANOTHER PHARMACY PRONTO!!! read more

This pharmacy really sucks (as others have duly noted). The pushed $350 worth of meds that we didn´t need because they had them already packed up for us (in a stapled brown baggie) and told my mildly dementia-stricken wife that our doctor had ordered the meds for us, which wasn´t really true. Yes, there were OPTIONAL refills available, but only if needed - which this one wasn´t. The meds were in a factory-sealed box, and I brought them right back in 10 minutes. But I was told that once they left the store, they were ours whether we wanted them or not - caveat emptor. I now get my meds and shots at Walgreens. They are slower than molasses, but at least they don´t cheat you with a smile on their face (and dollar signs in their eyeballs). read more

Place is lousy with communication! I drop off a written prescription for 2 medications, they tell me one will be ready the same day and the other on Sunday.. I told them, I'll pick up both on Monday. So I'm here on my lunch break and the 2nd one is not ready, but they'll have it ready in 30min. I can't wait.. that's the purpose of dropping off! This review is just for my visit today. Usually my visits are much better. Many times when I come in Dawn and Maggie are working and they are delightful but today I saw Bentina, at the pharmacy. So I asked her a question about a coupon I saw somewhere and her reply was simply "I have no idea." Fair enough. Maybe she really doesn't have an idea but can you say it a little nicer? While I was signing and getting my payment ready she mumbled something and when I saw my three prescriptions on the screen I asked if I could review them. I purchased a Vicks Rapid Read thermometer, cost about $27. It came with 5 single-use probe covers. I went back to the store to get some more, and they were out of stock, refilling on Tuesdays (usually, I guess). I explained what I needed to the store manager and requested that they order them for their next delivery. I went back the following week, and no probe covers. It seems to me to inappropriate to sell a product for $27 that can only be used 5 times. I will be much more careful the next time I purchase anything at this store, and by extension, all other CVS stores. I recommend everyone else about their seeming policy of not providing support for the products that they sell. read more

Only complaint I have is the fact sick customers picking up medication are not allowed to use the restroom due to Covid. We are told to walk next door to Ralph's instead as of some how we will not get covid if we walk next door as oppose to using their restroom. That's not even mentioning the fact customers with health needs are shopping at your location who may have an emergency while handing you their money and business. Cvs needs to reassess this terrible way of servicing your customers. I will not give my business to cvs until this ridiculous rule goes away. so former mgr. moves on from CVS and now some of the staff are treating me and others like shit , making bad remarks towards me when i am in line and one female at the counter as well, and so i had spoke with lily about their behaviors and and why did not my insurance take care of my meds. so she looked into it made the necessary adjustments by having Dane do the corrections and the female will be spoken with about her conduct at the counter. she should of not pushed the 2 bags at me when i simply asked why are the 2 meds so much and why am i paying for them ? so she in turned pushed the bags one by one at me and saying this is this much and this is this much. and when i am coming up to the counter or getting in the line i and anyone else would not appreciate it with remarks as oh look who it is now or oh no ? what the hell is anyone employees thinking about that their conduct warrants the behavior is approved by the company that they represent ? when i walk out side the building and look up at the sign on the building it does not say Dane or anyone else name on there only CVS. ? read more

This review is just based off an employee. I want to say her name is Angie? Not the sweet, young Mexican girl but the older lady with glasses and dark hair. I have been going here for years and am familiar with the employees--including this lady unfortunately. I'm always nice to her, but for some reason this lady is always cold towards me when I come in. Every time. But she's nice to the older people? Idk, I'm just saying I love this location, just not her. She needs a serious attitude check and should really treat everyone equally--especially if some of us have been going to this location for a long time.
