CRAZY and I must post for the safety and well being of our community! I was prescribed a brand medication b/c I am allergic to the preservatives contained in the generic. Active ingredients are the same but the generic has preservatives that can land me in a hospital and near death. The prescription from the Dr had dispense as written (DAW) / do not substitute. The pharmacist filled with the generic. I explained that the script had a DAW b/c of my severe allergy and I needed the brand. They apologized and reverted to the brand. Next time they filled it again with the generic even tho it had a DAW. This time I was furious. Twice they could have literally killed me. And the pharmacist had the nerve to say that it is not the pharmacist but that corporate implemented a system that fills with the cheapest medication. I explained that I work in the biz and the pharmacist is required to verify the medication with the script before filling and after filling. The pharmacist argued and said the system does it and it is outside of their control and that the active ingredient is the same so there should be no concern. Well - the concern is the preservatives that are in the generic but NOT in the brand. Can you believe this - i am arguing with the pharmacist about the ingredients after working thru this with my dr already???? What is the point of having a pharmacist if the system does what the system is programmed to do? What about medication safety? There is no accountability and no responsibility. This is like me saying I am behind the wheel of a self driving car and when it crashes it is the car and not me. How and why would I not take control of a car if it is going to crash and I have the ability to mitigate a crash. I am flabbergasted. If CVS has no safety controls why would I continue with this pharmacy? I am switching pharmacies. If you prefer to stay with this pharmacy please understand what your Dr is prescribing and check your scripts to avoid safety concerns. Do not be afraid to stand up for yourself. Know the risks with this location. I no longer trust this location - risks are too high for me. CVS has lost me as a customer - period! I will look for a different prescription fulfillment company for my own peace of mind. Costco is around the corner and I am sure I can find others. read more

Walked in to make a purchase and use a restroom however the restroom was closed. When asked one of the workers whether the restroom was closed temporarily or permanently their response was "the restroom is closed permanently because I am tired of being a maid"... read more

In a pinch, this local CVS fits the bill. I've never had a prescription filled here so I can't comment on the pharmacy. The shelves are usually stocked and the cashiers are always friendly. There is one self-checkout register which is my go-to since I rarely have more than two items. Plenty of parking...oh, and there's a redbox right outside! I'll be back! read more

This pharmacy understands excellent customer service. The lady at the counter that was getting my prescription for me was swift and nice. I appreciate her doing all she could for me since my medication was sent to another pharmacy. If is organized and clean, I don't see how there could be any complaints honestly. Came to the store at 10:05PM, sign says closed at 11PM. Knocked on window and store manager yelled at me we are closed are closed. If I were rating just the pharmacy, I'd give a five star rating, especially for Michael. He is patient, kind, and explains things thoroughly! I would recommend avoiding the Care Pass gimmick CVS has implemented, as its just a marketing tool to lure you into the store more often. Which it did for me, until after two attempts to spend the $10 monthly coupon, I came home yesterday and just canceled. The $10 only applies to some items and doesn't carry over if you don't spend it all at once. My experience yesterday was punctuated by Lorena's rude behavior when she was trying to assist me at check out. She did not protect my personal information - phone number and email - shouting out for it for everyone to hear. She was impatient, abrupt, unable to find the photo I had ordered online and received email confirmation for. It was my impression she was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the growing line of customers wanting to pay, as she became increasingly confrontational with me at the check out stand. I left without my photo. I will continue to use this CVS for its fine pharmacy, however I will definitely drive the extra mile or two to do all my shopping at another branch. Yes, its important for us all to be extra understanding during these times, and I certainly expect better treatment as a long time customer. read more

After shopping I came out to my car to see the landscaper blowing all the dirt, leaves, sticks and whatever else mess was on the ground directly at my car, he was asked to stop not once but 3 times !!! Before he stopped! He then ran around the building. If that wasn't bad enough the young lady I talked to in the store about it apologized went to tell the manager and then went to run outside, but stopped and turned around and said to me" I'd go out there but he would just yell at me." Are you kidding me!?! This is who they have clean there grounds!?? Unbelievable. The manager should maybe be demoted. I went back in to show her what was done to my car and she proceeded to tell me, " I can't control the dirt." Lady seriously? I had a great experience here today. My prescription was called into a different pharmacy farther away. No problem for the staff here, as they transferred it and had it ready in less than 15 minutes. This location is very convenient and so close to our house. Very friendly staff and Yasmin helped me today. This place has it all and more. As much I love this CVS at this location always purchase my item in need. One major problem I have is last Saturday evening I was at the store and there is a white old lady were really unprofessional on her act toward customer. I over heard all conversations from her mouth too customer stating kids go in the store and steal medicine and customer were uncomfortable with her story and purchase item and left without saying anything. I was there with my daughter and she just stared at me and my daughter while I'm checking out. I look at her and told her is there problem giving me a nasty look. Think this individual need too go no need for her too work there. And today October 9th I walk straight too the ATM and notice she there working, I guess she doesn't recognize me from last Saturday, but again today planning too purchase lottery but machine has sign said out of services and when too the counter try too purchase lottery ticket and she said the machine only do pay out gotta be joke. Never heard of that she just lazy don't want help out and suggested I goto 711 too my best bet. Enough is enough this lady need too go. AVOID the DRIVE-THRU PICK UP!!!! I have got stuck 2X's behind someone getting COVID TESTING. It takes at least 30 min for the whole procedure while cars stack up behind! If you are unlucky as I was and get locked in second spot, you can't back up to go inside to get your prescription! Myself and another customer talked to Assistant Manager who had no idea how to correct or ease the problem. We suggested to Simply PUT A SIGN that says, PICK UP MAY BE LONGER (20-30 min) WAITS DUE TO COVID TESTING!! The last time this happened I was able to get out of line when the guy in back of me got fed up waiting (he was on his way to work!) and we both went inside. Upgraded because pharmacist was able to inject virus booster by appointment when nobody else could be found in this city. Although only 1 pharmacist is here, bear that in mind. This is great as far as the average CVS store goes, never had a problem. Now the pharmacy on the other hand is a hot mess most of the time. I have had anything from we forgot and will have it ready for you in an hour (which then turned into the next day) to sitting in the car lane 30 minutes past opening before someone decides to put up a sign they are closed due to an emergency. Hassle, hassle, hassle and those are just two incidences. I have had about five in the last five years. Enough where my medication I RELY on has been suddenly not available. Not okay, ever. My doctor called them for my prescription medicine. I called them whether my medicine was ready or not. A woman pharmacist told me she had no idea what I was talking about. Another pharmacist told me they did not have my medicine, so he faxed to another CVS. But he did not. I had to ask another CVS to make them to fax to get my medicine. It took me almost an hour to just turn in doctor's prescription and I had to call 3 different CVS many times. read more

Love this pharmacy. I've been coming here for about two years since our move from Orange County. The pharmacists are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes my doctor sends my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and they have it sent over to this one quickly. I have no complaints. Just left the drive through pharmacy... After waiting 10 min without an acknowledgement they finally came to the window. No hi, thanks for waiting or anything. Jessica was extremely rude. So after receiving the prescription on two new medication there was no consult by the pharmacist or anything. I must say I am shocked; the lack of safety was unacceptable. This used to be my favorite pharmacy. It was close to my house and most of the time the staff was friendly.! I understand that sometimes they are very busy, but this is no excuse to ever treat a customer poorly. I was a business owner for most of my life. If I ever treated my customers like I have been treated. I would have had no business at all. I contemplated on writing this review for months and months. Obviously I am not their customer anymore and several of my friends and family have also found different pharmacies. Maybe they will notice the drop, but probably not. I recommend people not choose this pharmacy, especially if you want to keep your self dignity. I notice they don't have any new reviews. It's because they suck! read more

We just moved to San Marcos and had to have the entire family's prescriptions transferred from another pharmacy. The pharmacist was extremely helpful and made the arrangements for us. We didn't miss a beat especially for my daughter who has asthma. The staff in the pharmacy was equally helpful when I went in getting a very complicated order all fixed up. I want to thank Lewis for helping download my cameras SD card onto a dvd. I was having a lot of trouble with the photo section machines. Lewis came over and opened the machine and fixed it. The other clerk and I spent about 20 minutes trying to download my full SD card. In no time at all, Lewis photo dvd and negative in an envelope and I was out the door. Those reviews definitely have to be for the other CVS by Albertsons. I absolutely love that this one has a drive-thru since I'm usually picking up my meds after work & I'm extremely tired. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Also the staff there are amazing! The pharmacist Michael is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He answers every question I have even if it means calling 2 or 3 times. He truly is there for all his patients making sure they are at ease.
