I went here twice. First to pick up a prescription which went fairly smoothly. But the second and last time I went for a vaccination appointment. I was told where to sit and was completely ignored after that. Yes, they were busy, but they should have spoken to me. Also, the carpet in the pharmacy area was filthy. I just came into print some photos for my grandmother and the lady working The photo area wearing glasses was extremely rude to me. From the moment I walked over. She approached me with hostility when I asked how I could print photos. She had a complete attitude. Nancy N at the register is super condescending. Waited close to 20 minutes in line to pick up photos because they couldn't be "found", When they are "found' they were the 2nd package in the pile. The pharmacy closes in the middle of the day. There is no inventory (not even cotton pads). OPI brand is all but gone. Coupons don't work. And there is no one around to help. large and well organized, fully stocked for the upcoming holidays! Located in the Ralph's shopping center.. lots of parking and handicap spots in front...very clean and organized CVS.. they carry everything from A to Z...fully stocked grocery and wine section as well. The only negative side is there was no cashier in sight .. I and a couple of other customers were waiting a bit.. but when the cashier came up, she had been helping another customer find an item and did apologize for the wait. Luz, the cashier was friendly and efficient. I would say CVS could use more help, but perhaps there is simply not enough people applying for work. Nice store San Marcos! read more

Horrible customer service here at this cvs pharmacy. I walk up and explain to them I am here to pick up 1 prescription for my dad. I show them that cvs Rancho Bernardo said his prescription was ready for pickup but they closed at 7pm the day before and I could not pickup. I go to cvs San Marcos pharmacy and was told "We cannot find this prescription after provding all of the requested info and showing them text saying my order is was ready 1 day before at cvs Rancho Bernardo. Pharmacist comes back and says we found the order and to wait 10 to 15 minutes for prescription pickup, I wait over 30 minutes before asking pharmacy about my prescription and get prescription. read more

Arrived at 1:20 to pick up a prescription that was ordered four days ago. I stood for about 3 minutes, in front of three employees, without any type of acknowledgement. As I stood there I noted how absolutely filthy the pharmacy area is, nowhere fit for an area that should have low contamination. Fast forward, to the rep finally arriving at the counter to assist, who tells me my meds, covered by insurance, will be $200 unless I talk to his colleague that can give me a coupon to lower the price to $21. Very strange interaction, but, I slide to the colleague only to be told it's 1:28 and she's going to lunch at 1:30 so she cannot help me. I repeated it's 1:28 and because you are going to lunch, at 1:30, I have to be inconvenienced and return? The absurdity was lost on her. What kind of bootleg CVS is this? Oh CVS, how I yearn to be as consistently average and underwhelming as you are and still somehow be accepted by society. The latest journey to this wonderful establishment featured customer service guru, Rodney, playing a central role. Rodney refused to accept my coupon, stating that coupons cannot be used to purchase alcohol. "But Rodney," I lamented, "it does not state that on the coupon." Rodney smirks and confirms the policy that coupons cannot be used for alcohol. "But Rodney," I continued, "the coupon says it's applicable for beverages, which is what I have here." Rodney removes his mask and, squinting, scrutinizes the coupon. Apparently his teal N95 was hindering his literacy. Reapplying his mask, Rodney says that coupons used to say non-applicable to alcohol. Rodney suggests that I must've torn the coupon short of that disclaimer. "But Rodney," I exclaimed, "I cut along the dotted line, as you can quite clearly see. Describe to me where this alleged disclaimer is located." Not too pleased with having thrice been incorrect, a dejected Rodney tells me that there's a 1-800 number I can call with my complaints. read more

This is the only CVS I have seen that gets a long line and needs 2 cashiers in addition to self checkout. Always a little chaotic here. Went to make a deposit as sadly this is my bank (Capital One). The cashier could not count money if her life depended on it. I counted it while sitting at a red light before coming here, and about 10x faster than her. I don't know how that's possible. She also complained that the bills weren't facing the same direction, like who cares? read more

Never had an issue until recently, I was trying to change my insurance to purchase my medication and the pharmacy employee gave me attitude for not wanting to keep my previous insurance. Then took my medication and proceeded not to explain what he was doing and just left me waiting while he checked everyone out. The pharmacist was nice enough to let me know she was working on updating the system so she could check me out. Unfortunately, this was enough for me, switching to another pharmacy after years of service. These young employees are seriously making the younger generation look bad. read more

Cecilia, the manager on duty, is absolutely the most unhelpful employee. I am a rewards member and clipped a coupon for $4 off Cerave facial products. She would not apply the coupon, told me she would not give the discount nor a gift card in the amount and "it isn't going to happen today." After keeping me there for over 15 minutes, and also helping other customers (keeping me waiting), she made me walk to the section, in the facial wash area, to show me it was a body wash. No where in the product did it say body wash, nor was it in the body wash section. Normally, a face wash in the face wash section = face wash. But not for Cecelia, who would rather argue with a customer and lose the $50 sale to prove her point. This manager should not be in a management position. This is the most UNORGANIZED CVS I have been to! #1: They have filled my prescription wrong multiple times. #2: They can't find your prescription after they have filled it because they have a ridiculous system for filing them away. Someone needs to come in and show them how to organize their place better. I NEVER had this problem when I lived in UTC. At the San Marcos location, they have everything filed into baskets, not by last name, but by number. So, if someone inputs the basket number incorrectly into the system, then they have to look in ECERY basket to find it. This location is a mess! I called once and one of the employees hung up on me while I was asking my question. If you need your prescription filled correctly, then I would look elsewhere. read more

Line at pharmacy takes unnecessarily long & most of the staff acts careless and rude.

If you have a disability that makes it hard to stand for long periods of time, this is not a good pharmacy to use. I have back problems which makes it vey painful to stand in one spot for more than ten minutes. More often than not I end up having to stand in line twice because the pharmacy tech at the first counter usually can't help me. The first line has chairs. If you have to stand in the second line, and want to talk to talk to someone, there are no chairs or even anything to lean up against. So I'm SOL there. By the time I get out of the pharmacy I'm usually in pain for the rest of the day. This pharmacy could very easily move the glasses shelves to put chairs there. I tried to tell the pharmacist but got nowhere. He told me I could sit in chairs that are so far away from the counter that nobody would even know I was there. Not to mention, they are on the other side of a screen. This is not a viable solution by any stretch of the imagination. I can't understand why a pharmacy would be so non empathetic to people with disabilities. Do not go here if you have disabilities or problems standing for long periods of time. read more

The reason why I'm not the biggest fan of CVS is that their prices are sky high! I only come here if I need a quick grab like some chips or something. I have a CVS card but I'm not even sure what I get by having the card but anyway if you need something and you're in a jam then this is a good spot. This pharmacy is run very poorly. They're sporadically closed because of 'staffing' issues. Prescriptions are never ready when the text messages say they're ready for pick up. The second time the pharmacist was rude in trying to explain to me why he could not. Why are their two different procedures in place for filling a prescription from another location? I was told all I had to do was call the current pharmacy and they would have the record. Instead I have to bother my doctor to send them a new prescription. Very annoying. read more

This CVS is located in the same strip mall as my semi-regular supermarket. Sometimes I go here simply based on where I find parking in the lot. The store is clean and bright. I came in about a week ago and the manager said that if I was uncomfortable using self check out they had to check me out that's not the case when the manager is off work went in today I was told the same thing that I how do you sub check out I told him I didn't feel comfortable using it and he said there's nothing he could do about it because he couldn't open the register... Not only did I had to put everything back but it literally wasted half my lunch so thanks for that... After a few years of having my prescriptions filled at this location I had to transfer to another company. It's not uncommon to pickup your prescription and you can't get it. "The pharmacist called in sick and they're only one with the key to open the cabinet." Or "The pharmacist's code isn't working to authorize the transaction." Sometimes it's annoying, other times it's devastating because you need medications before/ after a procedure or surgery. HIPPA is also not a concern of theirs. The questions they ask within ear shot of others should be looked into. read more

They filled my prescription incorrectly and gave me the topical acne version of my antibiotic, not the vaginal antibiotic. If I didn't say anything about the price and had them double check why it was so expensive, I would have likely taken it home and used a facial gel on my genitals. The pharmacy is terrible. Ricardo is rude, curt, and unprofessional. I just went through a major surgery and he lectured me about a pain medication being addictive. When I asked why he was so rude, he came back with another rude retort. Like other reviewers have wrote, they said my prescription wasn't covered by insurance, but I have excellent insurance, and all my other prescriptions of this medicine have been covered. They do not know what they are doing, and there is always a long line. You have to wait on hold for a very long time to reach anyone. I used to live in Vista and they would pick up the phone in 30 seconds, this place picks up their phone 10 minutes later if you're lucky. And on another prescription I had they said there was no refills, but the bottle clearly said 2 refills. CVS online said there were 2 refills, but they kept saying they need a doctor approval.
