While I get most of my prescriptions though Kaiser Permanente, my HMO, there are a few things that are not covered. For privacy's sake I am not going to share the details. Suffice it to say, my medical condition requires medications that are not covered by Kaiser. I normally have my medications mailed to me on a monthly basis from Vista to Los Angeles. The packages always come next day and are neatly labeled and include detailed instructions. Recently, I dropped by to pick up my prescription: the staff were knowledgeable and personable and were quick to provide info on questions that I had. Prices for medication not covered by insurance are very reasonable. As the name suggests, this pharmacy is great for those that need medication in forms that are not mass-produced. Having a close friend whose child has trouble swallowing pills, I'm sensitive to people that need personalized medication.
