Great service. Nice to have the pharmacist know who you are! Almost never a wait to pick up your Rx. I have so much more confidence that my RX will be correct after experiencing an issue at the big pharmacy's. One mistake can cause serious issues. It's worth a bit of planning to pick up your RX at times they are open. read more

I am HIGHLY recommending this pharmacy! Anu is BY FAR the Best Pharmacist I've ever encountered! She knows everyone by name when you walk in, she is friendly and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I hate to say this but I trust her advice and guidance more than I do many doctors I've had over the years. Her honesty and integrity are unmatched. The biggest difference between this pharmacy (Anu) and the CVS's or Walgreens is that I feel like a human being that is cared about, not a number in the masses that they could care less about. Thank you Anu! read more

l have been going to San Marcos pharmacy for 8 years now. l have never experienced going to a pharmacy where the pharmacist actually speaks to you and gives you extra information and knowledge along with your prescription. Anu is always so helpful, efficient and patient. Every time l have come into this pharmacy, l do not have to wait for Anu to look through 50 bags before she finds mine. As a customer, this is one of the things that l greatly appreciate when l come in. Anu has always been a very honest, helpful pharmacist. l am so glad a previous doctor of mine sent me to her. read more

I am HIGHLY recommending this pharmacy! Anu is BY FAR the best pharmacist I have ever encountered. She knows everyone by name the moment they walk in, she is friendly, and she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I honestly trust her advice and guidance more than many doctors I have had over the years. Her honesty, patience, and integrity are unmatched. The biggest difference between this pharmacy (especially Anu) and the big chains like CVS or Walgreens is simple: I feel like a human being here, not a number in a long line of people they barely pay attention to. At SM Pharmacy, I feel genuinely cared for. I originally contacted SM Pharmacy because I was having trouble with several past pharmacies that were staffed with rude, unprofessional people. After my first interaction with Anu, I immediately made SM Pharmacy my default pharmacy. Their product selection covers everything we need, from our pet prescriptions to all of our family's medications. This is a wonderful local small business, and I love the personal service they provide. Their honest business practices help keep prescription costs incredibly low. Anu often tells me about options or assistance I did not even know existed, and she is always full of useful advice. I absolutely love working with Anu and cannot recommend SM Pharmacy enough! read more

Anu has been so great with our families prescriptions. Whether it may be insurance issues, helping navigate manufacturer supply side shortages, or getting a specific RX filled, she goes above and beyond to always get us what we need promptly. We can't recommend San Marcos pharmacy enough and encourage everyone to support this local business. Thank you Anu! read more

Shopping LOCAL I've now been a customer NINE years, and the service and the owner, Anu are truly wonderful. So easy, and better than standing in line forever in a huge store. I also love the nice display of beautiful cards! read more

I finally decided to come here after my children's pediatrician recommending it for years, and I was at my last straw with the long wait times and disorganization at my nearest CVS. It's a small location with usually just the pharmacist working but her store is very organized, she's more than willing to fill the prescription right away and she has all the prescriptions we need available as well as lots of over-the-counter options as well. She helped me with advice regarding my toddler's congestion and took her time explaining how to use the medications. She has reasonable prices as well for OTC and of course prescription meds are the same price as the bigger box pharmacies using my insurance. I feel really happy with my decision to switch my kids over to her pharmacy and I think I will switch myself over as well. read more

Support local pharmacies!! Anu is so incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and attentive. She truly cares about the people she works with, and it's such a breath of fresh air compared to working with companies like CVS. read more

Contacted SM Pharmacy for one of our dog's prescriptions. With this initial contact, I have made SM Pharmacy our default pharmacy. Their selection of products fulfill not only our pet prescriptions but all our family prescription needs. This is a local small business. What a fantastic experience at San Marcos Pharmacy! Anu Ramdas is the kind of pharmacist you want in your corner--professional, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile. I had an urgent situation with a prescription, and Anu handled it with such care and efficiency, I was blown away. The pharmacy is well-stocked, the staff is friendly, and the whole process is seamless. If you're in the area, make this your go-to pharmacy! read more

The personalized service and friendliness of a local pharmacy like San Marcos Pharmacy is what's totally lacking with a CVS or Walgreens. The pharmacist Anu provides exemplary service and will go out of her way to make sure all your needs are taken care of! My family and I have been using this pharmacy for years. read more

I'll never go to the "big guys" every again. The service, personal touch and approach are top notch at San Marcos Pharmacy. My previous pharmacy had pharmacists that really lacked any kind of personal touch or empathy. I called SM Pharmacy and was immediately helped and spoken to with warmth and kindness. I had my Rx transferred immediately and I'll never look back. Thank you, Anu! read more

As a retired pharmacist I am particular about the pharmacist's knowledge, professional demeanor, and client compassion. Anu and her staff not only check all the boxes but go beyond assuring the correct medication is dispensed in a timely fashion, and if you are to ill to pick it up, it will be delivered same day if it is a common med in stock. It is a small independent pharmacy that treats each individual as the special person that they are. It is refreshing to find pharmacy practiced secundum artem, according to the art. read more

Best pharmacist ever! I followed Anu (the owner) from a large corporate pharmacy to her own store in order to support local small business.. But the most important reason I followed her is because she is amazing..her customer service is stellar....Anu knows you by name, has you prescriptions ready in minutes and is kind, caring, compassionate and generous. She is extremely helpful and knowldgeable, not to mention patient..taking time to explain and answer any questions regarding your meds. Her pricing is fair, her service top-notch and her smile a day brightener...San Marcos Pharmacy is AAAAA+++++ read more

Highly recommend utilizing this local pharmacy over any of the larger chains in the area. Pharmacist is communicative, highly knowledgeable, and regardless of how busy they may be she always makes you feel like you and your family's health is their top priority at any given time. read more

San Marcos Pharmacy is awesome. Stop going to those corporate pharmacies and give your business to some one who actually cares about what they are doing and who you are. Stop in and see Anu for a fresh look at what customer service is all about. I will not go anywhere else. read more

I have been going to San Marcos Pharmacy for a few years now and it is all because of how professional and friendly Anu the pharmacist is. It is stress free Anu always remembers everyone's name and has a smile for her customers. The little things matter. Another thing I appreciate is how quickly Anu will get your prescription ready for you. Very short wait time. Anu also will take the time to explain to you what you need to know about any prescription you are picking up. My experience is so much better than places like CVS. And there is easy parking right up front I am so glad I found this local treasure read more

I started going to San Marcos Pharmacy four months ago. I previously went to Ralph's but had very bad experiences, one being they LOST my prescription! Disaster! I had to make a Sheriff's report and drive back to my doctors office for a new one. I was told by my doctor that if it's ever lost again, they won't be able to write a new one. Yes, it was a very important prescription. I checked Yelp and tried San Marcos Pharmacy. I was more than pleased. Anu, the owner, is fantastic. She knew me by name after my first visit. I'm greeted with a smile and hello when I walk in. She knows what I need before I tell her. Believe me, I'm a senior who has a LOT of experience with Pharmacies. If you want to feel spoiled, or just have a pharmacist who knows what they are doing, come here!! Anu handles everything herself and doesn't need anyone else in there helping her so she knows who you are when you come in. I go out of my way to get here but it's more than worth it. You will most likely be very pleased if you come here! read more

This is the best pharmacy I've ever used. I've recommended them to friends and family. The pharmacist, Anu, always takes as much time as needed to provide information and answer any questions. You can tell she pays attention to detail and truly cares about the customers. read more

Iam so happy I found San Marcos pharmacy. In a world with self checkouts. It's almost like pulling teeth to get to talk to a pharmacist at the big chains. Anu is always there ready to help you. She answers the phone without going through push button hell. Dain Blackburn, Vista read more

This is by far the best pharmacy we have ever used. Anu is personal and really cares about each of her customers. As soon as you walk in she remembers you and greets you by your first name. We moved all of our prescriptions to San Marcos Pharmacy from CVS. Anu matched all of their prices. We are extremely happy with the personal service that a small business offers. read more

I too followed Anu from another pharmacy, her location is convenient, her professional service is excellent! I could save a few dollars with Optum or CVS but in my experience, the service with the corporate pharmacies is often impersonal. Frustrating mistakes are made, such as incorrect or late mail order, and the telephone HOLD times are awful. Anu almost always answers the phone & can deliver same day, always accommodating, reliable. You won't be sorry! read more

Best customer service. Our daughters Dr. Recommended we go here because of how helpful they are and hands down the best decision we could have made. We moved to Escondio, however I would drive the extra miles because it is totally worth it. read more

Amazing customer service. Best pharmacy that we have ever worked with. Anu always goes over and beyond your expectations. She is knowledgeable and is always pleasant. No lines, No unanswered calls. She even delivers if there is an issue. When I had my hip replacement surgery and we needed more pills, she delivered them to our home. You won't find another pharmacy that can beat San Marcos Pharmacy. Just amazing! read more

Anu is a miracle worker. I have always filled prescriptions at Ralph's. Ralph's said Tricare as secondary insurance would not split the bill, so it never kicked in. Anu called Tricare and problem solved with them to make sure my secondary insurance with them kicked in. Anu is AMAZING!!! She is extremely knowledgeable in both areas of pharmaceuticals and insurance billing. Such a rare find of this top notch level of customer service. I will only trust San Marcos Pharmacy for my medicinal needs here on out. Thank you Anu!! read more

Don't waste your time! The pharmacist is cheapskate, don't care about people, told me on few occasions that she don't have my meds because it's not popular and no one else in San Marcos, but me, getting this meds! At the same time she told me that her wholesale supplier back order this meds, due to high demands! Go figure! *Not reliable *No availability, always back order. *Cheapskate, she rather lose customer than order right away at higher price from another supplier. * Profit above all - should be motto of this pharmacy. * Greed * Don't care * Majority of prescriptions are back order. * Majority of meds are out of stock (mine never in stock) * Keep you on the hook with prescription, after you drop it off, expecting to pick up in 1 hour. Instead pharmacist call and tell you it's going to be 5 business days?! Wtf?! (Especially around weekends). Some meds don't meant to be taken every 5 days! Disappointed!!!!! Never coming back! read more

I never thought there could be such a kind, considerate, and professional experience at a pharmacy. I have always gone to CVS and they have been fine. However, Anu provides personal connection. The store is clean and well organized. Our Rx was filled on the spot. Our pediatrician recommended we try SMP because (a) they use the best tasting versions of medicine that my child needed and (b) the customer service is excellent. I will be using SMP for all of our perscriptions and so happy to support an independently owned pharmacy! read more

Amazing pharmacy I have received the best individualized Care here from Anu, she is beyond incredible. Super friendly and knowledgeable! Today was my first visit to San Marcos Pharmacy and I do not regret it. My prescription was ready promptly and the customer service was top notch. This has to be the best pharmacy I have ever gone to bar none. I have regular medications that are filled on the monthly basis as well as the occasional odd one and Anu always comes through. I am always greeted with a smile and she actually knows my name when I walk in the door. There's a shocker! Try getting that kind of service from one of the big pharmacies who just see us as another one of the cattle. You say sure, you have had a good experience but, I have some that come close with my current pharmacy. Will they come in after hours to make sure you have the medications you need? I travel a lot for work and prescription renewal dates don't always work out to fall on the right days and folks forget from time to time. Anu actually came in at 8PM on a Saturday night to make sure I had my medications for a trip that was to start on Sunday as I had forgotten to get it taken care of. She even offered to drop it off at my house! I would never expect this on a regular basis of course but the fact that Anu was willing to do this for me was just over the top. If you are anywhere near San Marcos this is the place to go! If you are further north, Anu's husband has a pharmacy in Oceanside and provides the same GREAT service. read more

I want to give a shout-out to this wonderful pharmacy! The pharmacy was getting ready to close on a Sat. afternoon of this 3-day holiday weekend. My 91 year-old father realized that he'd run out of his diabetes medication. His regular pharmacy at the VA was closed and there was NO WAY to get his medication by tomorrow. I called San Marcos Pharmacy in a desperate attempt to get some advice on maybe somewhere I could go to get his medicine. They offered to give him enough to get him through the long weekend and they STAYED OPEN for an extra 15 min until I could get there!! If that isn't phenomenal customer service then I don't know what is! Reminds me of the great personal service I used to get in my small hometown. They deserve all 5 stars! read more
