Awful experience yesterday! Unpleasant and very stressed manager and her cashier quarrelling loudly in front of customers, clearly with deep hostility towards each other. Completely unprofessional behavior! Cashier also complained to me about the customer who she had just finished serving! After trying for over 20 minutes, both claimed they were unable to process the return of an item purchased through Walgreen's online portal, claiming that their system was disconnected! All this while my wife and many other customers waited in a long line at the pharmacy where the staff returned from their lunch break 15 minutes late! Unbelievably BAD store! read more

Why is this location so incompetent & frustrating???? Worst pharmacy in Vista! Longest wait times on the phone, longest wait for using drive thru, worst reliability waiting on hold when calling. Wait for 20+minutes only to be disconnected. Call back & be put on never ending HOLD AGAIN! For 25+ minutes!!! They constantly screw up with authorizations needed for meds. Ask about specific med requested by Dr office, & they try to frame it as it requires insurance authorization., & to say they don't have /show anything, only to find out my Dr. office DID DO AUTHORIZATION & even have it time stamped with PA Number. I'm leaving this place after 13 years & going to CVS down the street! You're supposed to be helping people in need, not frustrating them!!! read more

The worst pharmacy. A car in the drive thru took 30 min and I was number 4. So based on that it would take two hours to get the prescription. I left the line. Next day went to the drive thru. Two females chatting at the window - no acknowledgement - minutes go by. I left. Today went in and there were 5 employees working the pharmacy. Only one window open. There is something very wrong with the pharmacy employees. Perhaps they were training but train when there isn't people standing in line or a line in the drive thru. Can't be that hard to grab the bag of pharmaceuticals and give to the customer. If the script isn't ready then the cars and people need to move along and come back when it's ready. read more

Walgreens in general, and this one in particular, certainly seems not to over-exert themselves in the task of filling prescriptions. I've repeatedly been told they're working on a prescription, only to discover 1-3 weeks later that they've cancelled it for no apparent reason. I mean, I ask why, but no one seems to know. (I once spent six weeks figuring out what was happening with one especially important prescription. It was their clerical error, but in the end they just blamed me for the problem, since toward the end I'd checked with them too often, which evidently confused them even more than they'd already been confused.) I've finally given up on Walgreens and moved all my prescriptions to Costco Pharmacy, where I've had no problems at all getting my unremarkable prescriptions filled quickly and often at a significantly lower cost. read more

I've been on hold for the past hour with a recording just saying there is 1 caller ahead of me. That 1 caller must have a lot of questions to be on hold for an hour! Not only that, the pharmacy is having me do their job by calling my insurance when insurance says they should be the ones calling! read more

Encountered the RUDEST cashier today while trying to make my purchase and was so disappointed I left my items because I refuse to spend money where I'm disrespected. They prioritize high school students who come in and let them skip the line despite me and other shoppers waiting patiently for 10-15 min with no complaints. The students are old enough to understand waiting and were fine with it so not sure why the cashier made this ridiculous system up that's unfair to other shoppers. the woman working the register (50+ year old Latina woman) accused me of having stolen gift cards, asked me where I got them (can't ask me that and it's also none of her business) I told her they were a gift from my mother, even after the rewards number matched up to my mother's name. she still gave attitude and claimed the first one didn't work, and she kept it (stole it) it in fact had 6.60 on it. why is someone this bad at dealing with customers working a customer facing position? profiling people is not ok and if I were to treat her that way there would be a protest I'm sure. walgreens, do the right thing and fire this person. read more

The only reason it is not a 5 star is because of Judy. All the employees are super helpful and have great customer service. On the other hand, Judy always wants to argue. I asked to talk to the manager and she refused until one of the managers hear and intervened. I do recommend for everyone to come but not when Judy is working. read more

We have never received a full prescription at one time. Often we receive texts that prescription is ready and it's not. We end up making multiple trips. Don't try to call. You will be on hold forever. read more

Margaret the pharmacy tech might need a break back there. The way I witnessed her treat an older gentleman is no way to speak to someone. Yelling at him because he was struggling with the pin pad and is hard of hearing in front of numerous customers is unacceptable. I really wanted to like this store due to its proximity. First, there is one female employee who is incredibly rude and problematic and a store manager who has been alerted, but does nothing about it. Second, the phone is not answered..........ever. Last, they do not keep proper track of their inventory so items reported to be available in store, rarely are. I have placed and paid for online orders only to find that they aren't there. Just recently we stopped at Pharmacy, (after trying to call and staying on hold forever) to ask for a supplement for my wife. The girl was not really into helping us, telling that they don't have it in stock and that they don't know, when it will be available. She refused to call other Walgreens , would not give us phone numbers to call others Walgreens. This location is the closest one to me, so I go here instead of other locations. With EOS moving in next door, EOS has taken over and infested the parking lot and during the week from 3-4 pm he Walgreens and it's parking lot are swarming with people going to workout, and the kids from the local schools who go their to hang out, shop, and wait for pickup. There must be a shoplifting problem as they watch the kids and only let a few in at a time. The parking lot is crazy during that time from 3-4 pm and should be avoided unless you want to practice your deep breathing and going to your Zen place. This Walgreens seems small, and does not have a wide selection of some basic toiletries and other items. It has most items, but I was surprised at how things like deodorant were missing so many choices when compared to a Target or Walmart. I know they are larger but they have more choices and their toiletry section is not that much bigger than the size at Walgreens. I worked at Walgreens many years ago and we had a much larger selection of all items. The prices at Walgreens seem a little higher than other competitors, but they do offer a rewards type program and eventually you get some deals and discounts that help out. The staff is usually friendly, but good luck getting someone over to the photo department. They did put a bell there, but that doesn't really help with anything except getting a few dirty looks thrown your way if you dare to ring it. read more

Went to pickup my two prescriptions in which I was notified it was ready. However when I got there I was told the Dr had canceled them. I went and talked to Dr. they said they didn't. Called the pharmacy the next day and spoke to a woman who said yes in fact they are cancelled. Went into my dr to complain...the dr called the pharmacy and was told they were never cancelled and filling now?!? Two separate pharmacist telling me the same thing...now one saying something different??? This started a huge firestorm with my Dr and I was very upset with them. Do better Walgreens! The wait time for prescriptions is ridiculous. More than 25 mins in a line of 5 cars. This has happened the last 4 times we have used the drive through. Going inside isnt much better. Two years ago the service was much much better and efficient. Only went into the photo department, but on our way into the Store a senior citizen (age 80 she told us) fell and so many of the Store staff were so attentive once we got her into the store. I was just impressed as to how many of the staff were empathetic. read more

They fill prescriptions with expired meds and do absolutely nothing to attempt to rectify the issue until the customer brings it back. Not an "even" exchange, didn't even care to have the medication available when I return it. Just bring it back & we'll call you when it's all figured out. Well for one let me tell ya,it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fill a bottle of pills. I don't believe they construct the pills there? Wo sounds pretty stressful. So it takes at least15 mins just to get through,then it says ready for pick up. Well after the second surgery in one week I hobbled my old ass down to Walgreens. So as usual I walk in and wait patiently in line. Then they can't find the scripts that was told to me on phone. Then he finds them and says hold on these have to be authorized,now I sitting there as the clerk helps other customers at drive thru and completely ignores me. So long story short I never got my pain meds I walked the fuck out of there to never return. Even the front girl working there sucks she talks way to much and is slow as molasses in the winter. I would strongly say you good people go to rite aid much more customer care there. Cause these employees at cannon Rd. Location need to be trained in common sense and life skills I don't know how they stay in business really. So pack a lunch if your getting anything at this pharmacy I tell ya!!!! Absolutely incompetent and unhelpful. Nobody answers the phone. Nobody helps. The employees seem to go out of their way to avoid doing their job. If you ever wonder why Walgreens is failing, this location is a perfect example. Will leave you on hold until the phone disconnects, even when they are not busy. I called in the store and watched them place me on hold so they could shuffle about and eat their boogers. No interest in helping or being useful. The pharmacist is a nincompoop and the techs are worse. Avoid this location at all costs. The community would be better served if this location were shut down and the incompetent people working here were unemployed. The exact opposite of health care or customer service. read more

Drive through Covid test was pretty easy. Scheduled an appointment online a few days in advance. Did the drive-through test which took five minutes. There was no lines when I arrived. It was around lunchtime on a weekday. The staff was not very friendly at all, they didn't seem to wanna be there. The test results came back within two days. I set a timer tonight. 3.5 minutes until we were acknowledged in the drive-thru. Rxs were filled and ready. We did ask for one to be canceled. Took us over 15 minutes. There were two cars behind us when we left. This place is severely understaffed. I feel bad for the workers there. This is not their fault. forced to give one star! 2:15 appointment for 2nd Covid Booster. At 2:30 I received a short 9 question form to complete and sign, taking no time at all. I was FINALLY given the vaccine at 3:00 pm... a full 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment - the one for which they texted me a reminder. I was seriously ready to cancel and leave. This store is well lit with nice wide aisles that are easy to navigate through. The layout is simple and the signs are easy to see. The shelves are stocked most of the time, and I've always been able to find what I needed. The staff have been courteous and friendly each time I've shopped there. read more

this is the closest wallgreen to my house, every time I call to see if my prescription is ready it takes more than 30-45 minutes hold to answer damn phone, automatic system never get my prescription number correct , so I have to request to talk to pharmacist. Lately, whenever I call the pharmacy to address some issue with a prescription, I'm on hold for at least 10 minutes and sometimes get disconnected. When I call back I'm told there are 4 callers ahead of me. This last time I hung up and switched my prescription to my local CVS where they actually answer the phone. read more

Example: This joint is an oasis in the urban desert, a happy getaway from my day- to- day grind. I came for a spa day with some friends and it was exquisite. Everyone loved the 25- minute massage. Though it was pretty busy, so we are surprised how clean the place was. We seriously could of spend the whole weekend here. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. At walgreens app. I ordered my prescriptions on 10-5-23 around 5pm. I requested same day delivery which was available if ordered before 7pm. And it was free delivery. 11am on 10-6-23 I called because is was not received. The pharmacy tech stated that they manually enter it and set it up for regular delivery by ups. So it won't be here for a couple days. When asked she stated that they did that because they use doordash and they charge. I advised her that they should state that on the app because if when people need their meds and order for same day delivery, they should get it. If it says free then they need to do it that way. So charge for that then. Then I mentioned that they double charged me. She stated that because it was ordered on the app then it was entered manually that's why it double charged. When they find that it was done it will go back into my account in 3 business days. What happens if I order $300 in prescriptions, then I'll be charged $600 which is alot and jave to wait the 3 days to get that back. The technician had no sympathy about it. She stated that this is how they do it. Then I mentioned that maybe I'll just change and have my prescriptions moved to CVS She said "ok." She was very unprofessional and this business practice is going to medically and financially harm someone if they needed that money to pay for something important and now have to wait 3 days. Checks could bounce because of it. People can get sick having to wait. Retrain you employees on how to be more understanding and charging people. This is not the first time I had been double charged. read more

I live halfway between this Walgreens and the Encinitas one. I come to this one because it is better stocked. Encinitas is always out of something I need. I knock it down a star because it is slightly more expensive here for some reason than Encinitas though. I have never used the pharmacy. Most of the recent low ratings have been for that. I will say though, I am willing to try this location because I have never seen the backed up line here that I have experienced first hand in Encinitas. read more

I've always heard so many stories about how bad Walgreens is and I just thought it was some kind of joke, but it's all true!!! I had to go here for a one off prescription. I literally watched the workers argue with multiple customers, and the pharmacist made me wait for 30 minutes and then said he couldn't help me. Why did I even sit there? The employees even laughed to each other after people had left saying things like "why did she act like that you were being soooo nice" it was absolutely astonishing. I get that we live in a world of some seriously awful customers and I hate to say anything negative about people that have to work in customer service because it's so hard, but this was wild. Literally do not waste your time here. There's a million other pharmacies around, just go to one of those. Even if this is the closest, it's not worth it. read more

This is my pharmacy of record when i need prescriptions filled. typically the dr will call in the prescription. Walgreens will contact me when prescription is ready, so I avoid wait time. I used to use the drive thru but no longer because I find the service is much better inside. Jeff the pharmacist is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. I will occasionally shop for other products at the store because location is convenient; I have noticed since 2020 the inventory on shelves is substantially reduced and some products not available at all. I have been VERY frustrated with EOS gym members totally monopolizing the entire parking lot. ..more should be done to ensure Walgreens has designated parking spaces. Also avoid shopping at all cost..when the Madison Middle school students are released students swarm both the parking lot and store. read more

I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN: I Have shopped at this particular Walgreens on many occassions and have spent a lot of money, as well as the person I use to give a ride to drop off and pick up his prescription. The Pharmacy Staff knows me, as well as the store staff. I am always greeted when I come through the front doors of the Store. I went straight back to the Pharmacy and saw that "Wei" was working and he said he needed my Driver's License and Insurance info. I provided all the info to "Wei" plus he knows me and he punch in a bunch of info and said he will send me a text or call me. Well, I received a call stating that they're unable to fill my Prescription and I asked Wei why? Wei, said I can't tell you by law. But your account has been flagged and I explained why I needed a a new Prescription written to replace what I turned in to my Pain Mgmt Office. I said "I'm not doing anything wrong" but trying to filll this prescription to replace what I gave to the RN at the Pain Mgmt group which was 136 tabs of Oxycodone 30 mg HCL ROACHE. I Can't take this brand due to the allergic reaction I have to them and the cut is Acetaminophen. I had been to CVS on S. Melrose and she was so rude and I wrote a review and need to finish it. The Pharmacist at Walgreens "Wei" told me he couldn't fill the Rx and that I need to come and pick-up the written Prescription and take it somewhere else to be filled. When I got to Walgreens "Wei" explained that he couldn't fill it and by law he couldn't tell me why,but if I was trying to do something illegal, shady or wrong he would of called the Police/Sheriffs on me. Back to Pain Mgmt office to get a new prescription and a letter attached to the Rx with a explanation on why this Rx needs filled and my Pain Mgmt Dr. Explained what I needed prescribed to me and not to prescribe the Oxycodone HCL 30mg Roache big white pills because of the Acetaminophen that I'm allergic too So then I go to Costco. I started at 8:00 a.m. arrive at pain mgmt at 8:30 a.m. first stop was CVS, 2nd stop was walgreens, 2nd trip to Pain mgmt. And I'm in unbearable pain. It's 12:45 p.m. now and I went to Costco which is right across the street from my house. I arrived at Costco and Had to park in Butt F**k Egypt walk on crutches due to a Broken ankle, 4 broken Toes. Fractured Tailbone Bone, recovering from surgery on my face. Have multiple bulging Disc's in my back, Neck and 3 Prolapsed organs in the Pelvis Region. I get through the entrance. I have to go all the way across the store. Stood at the drop off window for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledge me. I had turned my timer on; on my phone and between the waiting, line of questioning asking to see 2 forms of picture I.D. and different employees questioning me and stating that I look completely different than what my DL pic looks like. The employee says to me the Pharmacist says he can't fill the Rx and I won't be able able to get it filled. I arrived home at 3:00 p.m. and called my Pain mgmt RN who had been helping me all day. 3 trips to my Pain mgmt Dr office & 4 Pharmacies. Treated like a Criminal as well as rudely and told that I am skinny and don't look like the person on my DL. That cant fill my Rx and all they carry is the "Oxycodone HCL 30MG Roache Mfg. In all milligrams. Went home disgusted, upset and felt bad about myself. Called Jenny who did such an amazing job for Dr. Yogesh Patel. I made arrangements to go back in the morning to get a new Rx and return the one that Costco wrote all over and found a pharmacy that could fill my Rx and had the Oxycodone HCL 30mg made by the Mfg I needed and went to " Greenfield Pharmacy" who filled my prescription under 15 minutes and was treated with Respect and had zero problems. I will be using this Pharmacy for now on for my Oxycodone HCL 30mg Tabs AKYMA. I am Banning CVS, WALGREENS AND COSTCO and will be considering switching all my Rx to this Pharmacy. I gave them a great Review, along with the Pharmacist who assisted me and was very Professional along with the staff. Please read reviews I wrote about Costco on Hacienda Dr. CVS on S. Melrose by Breeze hill Elementary school. This Walgreens of S. Melrose and College blvd. I am banning all 3 of these stores for life. I will never step foot in any of these locations ever again. I went to pick a prescription that their website said was ready and so told that the pharmacist was out and was told TOUGH LUCK I would have to wait.
