This is my favorite go to place for when I'm craving snacks and sweets. I love their specials on candy and chips so I normally go with whatever deal is going on. I also like their hot foods, the pizza and taquitos specifically are my favorites and get it when I just want something quick and tasty. I'm always greeted when I come in and customer service is so friendly when I am ready to check. The staff just look happy, which says a lot when it's a convenient store. Usually my go to place and the staff in the morning are so nice but today I came way earlier to grab a few things because I was feeling sick and needed a quick bite. Tell me why this middle aged man gives me an attitude after dropping one of the chicken rollers on the counter on the way out. I asked if I could grab another one to replace the fallen one and he looks so in distress telling me I'd have to pay for another one and I was asking nicely too. He hit me with the "you want the store to pay for that?" like I'm crazy. First of all, wasn't greeted or acknowledged on the way in and second he's not offering me any form of customer service at all. SO RUDE. I was like "So you expect me to eat the one the rolled off the counter, do you know how filthy that is?" and he like stared at me blankly before saying to "go ahead" in a backhanded tone. Went there to buy a couple of non alcoholic drinks. They were 2 for 5.50 plus tax. Should've been maybe a little over six dollars. The guy working tried to over charge me not by a couple cents, but a couple dollars. I asked him why was he charging me more than what they were priced. He was trying to charge me around 10 dollars for those two drinks. I left the store without purchasing anything, won't support a business that tried to steel from a customer. read more

I recently rediscovered 7-11. I have not been to a 7-11 in the USA since I was a teenager haha. A hot summer day during a lunch break for work lead me into 7-11 in search of a Slurpee. Wow, I forgot how refreshing Slurpees are! I almost drank too fast to refresh myself from this heat that I was on the brink of a brain freeze. There are different fruity flavors and you can mix them up into the size cup of your choosing. On the way to the cash register, there is a multitude of salty chips and savory mixed nut varieties to accompany the Slurpee. Checkout guy was rude and profiling. We went for a late night sweet treat and some drinks and energy drinks for my long shift tomorrow. The cashier was giving us dirty looks asking about beer saying we were opening the cooler for it. We said no that wasn't us and continued to try and check out. He kept looking me up and down and had a disgusted look on his face. Definitely won't be going back here and will be going to the gas station up the road from our house instead. Few months ago, after picking up my brother from night shift at little Caesar, my brother gave me his money to buy snacks and a drink cuz he had not ate anything. Entering 7/11,I grabbed 2 chips, a sprite soda and sweet treats while I grabbed myself bacon jerky and ginger ale soda. Then the cashier dude( he's Indian) questioning,'' you're gonna eat all that?'' I was kinda weird it out and I chuckled,'' Nah, all the snacks are for my brother,'' . while he scanning it, he examined the food label and stated that's too much fat or too much sugar, blah blah blah. Camilla the Yelping Hen is a fan of this location! She found the hottest flamin' hot cheetos to try and while she felt she could go hotter she was not going to ask for her money back. Things we notice is that it is clean and that the staff are usually helpful. Once they had a deal for cases of coke products but only had one case of diet coke out... was there any in the back? Nope I was told after nary a movement to check. That's cool as they won't get my soda money. They will however get the chip money as they also have Takis that we have our eye on for our next hot chip fest! read more

This is my other choice of nearby 7 11's. Its tucked in a 1980's flashback shopping center. It has jazzercise, nail shop, fro yo, pool tables and hookah bar in the same center. LOL Why I call it the old school area, but its super clean and stocked at all times. Yes, this location accepts EBT Edited to add I prefer my regular place on Mulberry due to the staff here. Two guys with accents, very unhelpful. I asked them can I get ice with EBT, without a second one said NO and the other said yes. It ended up being a yes, but whats with not even caring or checking. Bad review time!! Went in there today with 3 coupons one for each person for I small bag chip(7-11 brand at that)1 taquito and slice of pizza ! The coupons were legit we bought them actually from del mar fair and expired 12-31-15 and the worker said the owner said not to take no coupons!! Wtf! It says 7-11 coupon only for 7-11 and they wouldn't take them! We just wanted to watch the parade eating a lil something with my 8 yr old! But nope we couldn't use them ?? The owner should honor these 7-11 coupons! I won't be going there anymore!! Because this place probably won't get enough reviews for the times when you walk in grab your things pay for them and walk out, then I will leave a review mentioning that the time I walked in to grab a six pack of beers I had no problem meaning I walked into to a cool refreshing store (escaping the heat) picked from a fridge full of beers that had exactly what I wanted. That almost says it all - but I'm not done. Was greeted by a cashier and prompted for payment. After this exchange I proceeded to the car and managed to leave quick and easy just as I were to get in. I'm visiting from Arizona. Went to this California 7-Eleven to refill my "environmentally friendly" hydroflask and there were no signs anywhere saying "no refills". When I got to the register to pay, they told me they don't allow refills due to "The Covid". Ironically, the employee telling me this (with a straight face no less) was not even wearing a mask. I hardly ever go to any convenience stores anymore ever since my child became diagnosed with different types of medical conditions requiring him to be limited on what he can eat. About a month ago a visited this store when my child was craving a slurpee, however having no knowledge of the ingredients I was really concerned and almost opted out of going. In the end we decided to give it a shot and while I was navigating my phone trying to find ingredients with all the other family members, a young cashier named Oscar came over and asked me if I needed any help. I explained to him what was going on and right away he took out his phone and helped us search for it. He found exactly the type of ingredient my child couldn't have in the slurpee a which was a bummer, but then led me through the store to other alternatives that would be a nice snack. Without knowing, my father came into the same store a few weeks later and he is handicap. The same cashier helped him get his drinks and walked him back to his car and I just want to say thank you so much for taking your time and assisting your customers. read more
