What is with CVS stores in general, does all of their pharmacies just suck? Granted the only reason I'm giving this location an extra star compared to the CVS on Chase & Avocado- is because they treat you like a person and don't judge you on your prescriptions. I had a horrific nightmare happen at the other location, the 2 Arabic pharm.techs decided they wanted to make fun of the fact that I'm on a certain prescription(no I'm not a dirty girl or on anything scary), they called me some really harsh things in Farsi. So when I turned back and retaliated at them , it shut them up fast. Yes, growing up in East County you too can learn other languages, and when your step father was always in in Iran, trust me you learn alot more than just the bad words.. But back to this location, its pretty much in the heart of the valley , filled with crackheads, weirdos, and people trying to constantly re fill their xanax prescriptions and pay for it with food stamps card. So no wonder there is always such a long ass line . The poor techs have to deal with everything and then some. But for the most part if you drive thru the drive thru , you are handled with care and with someone who is courteous and nice. Id say there are about 3 nice people that work back in the pharmacy other than the pharmacist himself. But it must be the location to put them in such shitty moods day in and day out. Sucks, but don't take it out on someone somewhat normal like me! Props to the little gay man with the curly q mustache, hes always uber nice. If you aren't gay, sorry , you just seem it , and there ain't nothin wrong with that! CVS is always gonna be an interesting joint, especially this one. Note to you: Don't sit on any of the chairs , or sit at the high blood pressure machine, Ive seen people puke, pee and poop themselves in all of those chairs. I went to this CVS to request an emergency one-day supply of my wife's diabetes medication, metformin. We were far away from our usual CVS near our home, and my wife had accidentally forgotten to bring her medication with her. I explained the situation and asked if they could provide just enough medication for one day until we could return home. A man who introduced himself as the supervisor spoke with me. He refused to help and told us that we had to contact the doctor. What was most upsetting was his attitude. He was extremely rude and showed no understanding or willingness to help. I then went to a different CVS, explained the same situation, and they were able to help me get a one-day supply. I understand that there may be policies and requirements regarding prescription medications, but the way this supervisor treated me was completely unnecessary. Even if he could not help, he could have explained the situation politely and professionally. read more

The gentleman who works at the CVS pharmacy who name was unclear and helped us on Saturday, September 6th at around 12:00 pm is extremely unprofessional. He would rather get into shouting matches, not help the customer and be passive aggressive. If you need a photo, go somewhere else. Came to pick up my photo order for 3 posters and they were printed on the wrong paper. Then the man said it'd only be 5-10 minutes for them to be re-printed on the correct paper. I figured I had time so I waited. He then told me the machine went into a self cleaning mode and would only take a few minutes. I've been here for almost an hour and a half still waiting for the 3rd poster to finish printing. I offered to come back tomorrow and he insisted they were almost finished. That was 30 minutes ago. I would leave but I've already put too much time into this. Never ever again. I had 2 prescriptions sent on Wednesday. I received a call my RX was ready (It was within minutes of it being sent). I go to pick them up and am told only 1 is ready they need to approve the other with my insurance. It is under $20 so I tell them I'll just pay for it. I am then told they don't have it and it will be in by Friday. I get an automated phone call Friday RX is ready. I go, nope not there, it will now be Monday. When I leave, I get an automated call saying my RX is being ordered. Did they not order it previously? Monday comes and goes and not a word. I call Tuesday and according to the automated system both are ready. I go, they can't even find me or my RX's in the system. REALLY? The above was frustrating but the major issue was the attitude. The first person I spoke with on Wednesday was flat out rude! The 2nd girl was nice. The third time the girl at the pick-up again so rude. Just said go to drop off. At drop off the guy who helped me was polite but no emotion to him. It was almost like he is so used to having to deal with issues that he doesn't care one way or the other. I had my RX's sent to Costco - Trip out filled approved by insurance in under an hour. Crazy how when employees are happy where they are the transactions are easy. read more

This place is terrible and always has been From most of my experiences (Although the last time that I came in because I got hit by a car and wanted to know if they had footage from the accident and the guy manager was pretty awesome). I had sent my prescription here so I kinda had to go. When I get there there's not even one cart in the return and I decide not to hunt the whole parking lot. I was looking at the gift section and had a few fun unique gifts picked out for my kids (probably about seventy or so worth) and I went up to the front to check prices since they had not ANY of them labeled in the whole aisle. So I find out prices and I'm off to the side letting get help the next person while checking prices online. I go to put one of them back and switch for a second of one of the gifts, and the manager won't leave me alone about where to put the things I haven't scanned yet when I haven't even gotten to scanning my things and wasn't going to do self checkout anyways. She's standing next to me as I'm still checking online. So as I go to switch out the item so I don't give the employee more work, she grabs the item from me and gets an attitude. I know we are in a high theft area and I knew when I walked in with my backpack/purse combo that I'd have an issue with that an my reusable bags since there are homeless in the area. It's happened before but when I simple carry my bag on my arm it magically DOESNT happen. So I'm being profiled as homeless or a thief and she's starting to upset me and make me very uncomfortable so I ask for a manager (yes, sorry kids I pulled a karen move) to which she responds she is the manager and pulls her shirt showing her name tag "Cynthia Jordan" and with all the attitude says "THERE YOU GO RIGHT THERE THATS ME IM THE MANAGER" and she says I need to leave with my stuff and I'm telling her she is profiling and it's not okay for a customer service worker to act like this. She had no idea what was going on and that I had been talking about these items with the worker and was waiting on the other person to finish their transaction and she had no interest in being wrong or knowing that there was more to the story than her preconceived biases. This situation has only happened one other time and it was also when my bag was on my shoulders. It's crazy how just having a backpack can get you labeled and profiled, considering north park, hillcrest, etc this never happens! I want to add, that the store outside is absolutely disgusting and full of trash. No carts are brought in from the parking lot, and it takes 10+ minutes just to get someone to the checkout counter. read more

If you actually want your prescription do not have it sent here. My doctor sent my prescription here on Wednesday morning I called at 6pm to find out they did not have the medication. No one called me. The person on the phone then told me they could order it and it could be in on Friday. I called today Friday afternoon to be told no they do not have the medication. Again no information was given to me about any of it. So if you have a condition that requires medication do not depend on this pharmacy to fill it. This pharmacy will continue to push it off until you die at home waiting for the Medication. And not care. Or tell you any information about it being delayed or let your doctor know that the medication can not be filled. read more

Very old beach of CVS. I went to the pharmacy and their customer service is so irritating and pushy. I came to take the vaccine and they tried to force my brother to take Covid vaccine and the flu vaccine. She asked him " did you take Covid vaccine? Did you take the flu vaccine? When and why not now?" Why the f is that anyone's business! The lady at the pharmacy kept pushing and asking him when he is going to take it when he only accompanied me and I was the one talking and requesting the vaccine. Absolute worst customer service of my life! My son is super sick, I scheduled online with customer service for a flu and COVID test. The person who spoke to me in the pharmacy got a huge attitude with me and told me to circle around while they call the nurse. While I am a nurse practitioner, I understand machines going down, BUT there needs to be a better process. They told me they can't send me to a cvs with a working system. They won't let me swab him now and work on the system later. The worker asked me to keep circling until they figure it out. I have waited 34 minutes now. read more

My friend came in today and was helped by Fereba. When asked to check her insurance, she did and told her she couldn't take it which she knew wasn't the case. My friend asked her to speak to the primary insurance holder, Fereba refused to help and dismissed my friend. If she would have properly done her job, she would have known that her insurance was taken. It's frustrating when you're trying to get important medication and you're doing your due diligence only for someone to not care enough to help. read more

Smelly and dirty. This store is gross. There is a ton of stuff under the shelves yuck. The associates couldn't care less about customers, I walked within a foot of an associate that never acknowledged my presence. Ever hear of the 10 foot 10 second rule? In a pinch I use this pharmacy because it's close to me, I wouldn't buy anything in the store though. There are other pharmacies close enough and will be my choice in the future. read more

If I could give a zero I would! Avoid this place at all cost, it's the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The staff all tell you different things, and give you attitude if you ask why you were told a different answer the day before. I dropped off my prescriptions 24/48 hours in advance to give them and for the last 4 times they have not been ready. It's terrible to have to be late to work monthly because you have to pick-up your prescriptions! Knowing you did everything on your end to prevent this unnecessary inconvenience. I've given them multiple opportunities to follow through with what was promised, unfortunately they can't get it together. read more

This is the WORST place to go if you need an RX filled. They have messed up the last 10 I have gone to pick up. They ALWAYS try to charge full price when they have my Wife's insurance on file. CVS has been going downhill in the past year . This is yet another location where it's run at night by people who are not trained at all to deal with humans . We had a cart full of grocery's and the cashier did Not want to ring us up and forced us to use a self checkout kiosk . Needless to say the grocery's did not fit on the tiny shelf of the kiosk and they started to fall on the floor . We begged another employee to help us and he walked away fast . If I were manager they would all be replaced by morning . There are plenty of hard working students and adults who need employment . worst customer service My daughter super sick, i was there before they close in 5 minutes and they say we are closed, but there still 5 minutes. I was there only to pick up!!! So it's super easy and quick, but the lady who spoke to me, she talked to me more than 5 minutes teaching me to not be late. Excuse me, I had work just like you and I wasn't late because I was there before closing and that's true I was only 5 minutes before closing but still 5 minutes count. Came for flu shot. Pharmacy personnel are great. But one of the other EMPLOYEES was walking around and pulling his face mask down, exposing his nose and mouth, every time he talked to people. That obviously defeats the entire purpose of wearing a mask in the first place. read more

This was your average run of the mill CVS. Nothing special to report. There was not an over abundance of employees ready to help my friend find what he was looking for. It looked like they did try to keep the store clean. On some items they had the store brand cheaper than the name brands. I called and the pharmacist said there were two calls ahead of me. I waited forever, so I thought they forgot about me so I called back and no response. Finally they said two calls were ahead of me again. I got mad so I hung up. Then I called back (I'm not one to give up easy as you can tell) and they said the said thing a third time so I put the phone on speaker with the loud music blaring while I fixed my breakfast while carrying the phone all around with me (I really need a headset for this place). A good hour now has gone by and right when somebody came to the phone I got disconnected. Errrgh That does it, I'm not calling back tonight. And they kept saying they'd let us know and they didn't. I have had nothing but trouble from this pharmacy. I called in 5 (FIVE) prescriptions on 10/22/2015 for refills. I called and was told they were ready. I went in at the drive thru. and waited in line 28 minutes (there were 2 cars ahead of me), I got up to the window and was told "I'll be right with you" I waited 11 minutes and fineally I was told that only 1 prescription was ready. I told the man at the window that I had called in and was told my prescriptions were ready. He replied "I don't know anything about that". I got my 1 prescription and left. I might add I live 13 miles away now I will have to go back again. I might also add that while I was waiting in line I saw several people get in line then leave after waiting a substantual amount of time. read more

This one star is for CVS Pharmacy not the store itself. I went there an hour before their closing time to drop a simple prescription for a coughing med the doctor had just giving me. There was only one client standing next to the pharmacy. When I gave the prescription to the employee there, he asked me if I want to pick it up today and I replied yes because I was very sick and I needed the meds right the way. The employee there then told me that HE DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO PROCESS THIS TODAY, THEY ARE BUSY NOW AND I HAVE TO COME TO PICK UP MY MED TOMORROW IF I WANTED TO. First he made that decision without even discussing that with the pharmacist who was standing few feet from him. He said he does not have time to process the prescription when they had an hour before closing and I only saw one costumer standing on the pick up line, which means that they had processed his prescription already. Later the pharmacist came to ask what is going on and the employee told her that they have no time to process my prescription and she did not even bother to lock on my prescription and just agreed with the employee, which makes me wonder who make decisions in this pharmacy? Later I went to Walgreen Pharmacy cross the street from them and they process my prescription in less than 5 minutes. read more
