Worst pharmacy I've be ever been too. The shop itself is fine. Clean, lots of items, big selection, etc. The pharmacy however is terrible. There is almost always only one cashier so sometimes super long lines. That in and of itself wouldn't be so bad but they are often confused. Example, my Dr recently increased my dose of a medication. I called to renew and she told me there was no such prescription, that the last one they filled was a lower dose. Only problem with that statement was I had the bottle of the higher dose that they filled last month right in front of me. I got so frustrated with the conversation I finally said, never mind I'm just going to use another pharmacy. This is not the first time with them being confused or me needing to talk to them to get things straight. Wish the other brand pharmacy I used to go to was closer because they were so good! read more

Went here for my first Covid vaccination. It was so wonderful. There were about 4 people in line before me. The process went very quickly and easily. First there was a link texted to me just before the appointment. It was to check-in when I arrive. I did that when I parked. After checking-in in person, there were arrows to follow to the back area where 2 vaccination stations were happening. That also went very quickly. Here they finished filling in the information on my vaccination card. There was a little designated sitting area where people were supposed to wait for 15 mins before leaving. I would say, this could be improved with better spacing in between seating. This is important so I took off a star for this. Otherwise, this is a much better option for getting the vaccine, rather than going to a community venue or supersite where there are tons of people in line and all around. When registering on line, both appointments for the first and second shot are secured. So I look forward to returning for an easy process for my second vaccination that is already set. My appointment was on a Saturday around noon, my husband's was on a Thursday and my son's was on a Saturday evening. All 3 of us had super quick and smooth experiences. read more

Came here with mom to pick up a few things in the Phramacy which she didn't end up getting due to insurance issues. The cashier was polite explained to her that she had to wait tell Monday since it was Friday and nothing is processed over the weekend. Ended up buying googles for kids to use while swimming. When my wife told the other lady to be careful she began threatening to fight and kick my wife's ass yelling. Then the other guest got an associate name Polly who without getting the story began to try and kick my wife out while the other lady who was also white was going to be allowed to shop. read more

I came to get my RX filled after being in the ER. Had a procedure. The Pharmacist tells me 20 min. I go to leave and pay fir a Gatorade because I'm dizzy and nauseous. I used a card. The o my thing I was getting at self check out. The machine freezes. I showed her I paid I offered to leave my card no she left me standing 10 min. Fir what it's worth surgery was on my leg. So. I go back in. 20-25 later. The assistant says sorry she just went to lunch. While I bled thru my Gauze my jeans and my car seat and shirt is ruined. This was an hour ago. She also forgot to open the bathroom for me to clean up. Literally in agony bleeding waiting. Changed into jeans. They are bleeding thru as well. read more

If I could rate them a zero I would! Their Pharmacy Department is HORRIBLE! The hold times are 45 minutes plus if at all, the system automatically hangs up on you. They are rude, non-empathic and inefficient. We have tried to get my husband's prescription refilled since Friday 6/3, it's now 6/6 and we cannot get through to tell them to reprocess the approval. How many days to they expect him to go without it? Good thing his life wasn't depending on it. If your loved one depends on medication, DO NOT GO HERE! I will be searching for a government department that oversees and regulates pharmacies to report CVS. read more

The staff are very rude. Especially the pharmacist's attitude problem. I believe her name was Rand. I had a kid come in for his vaccine appointment. First, the pharmacist and technicians were just talking to each other and I had to wait a few minutes for them to finish talking to get checked in for the appointment. After she checks us in, she rushes my kid to sit down and says "hurry up and quit whining so I can get back to work already." Absolutely worst customer service and incompetence EVER. I made purchase. Got home and everything but my whiskey was in my bag. I called. Got runaround and hung up on twice. All they had to do was look at the cameras on Register 3 to see what happened and prove I'm not lying. Will never go there again. CVS on Broadway is WAAAAY better. So I went back and they were very understanding and kind when I explained everything. As much as I wish they kept up with all the products being used because it's not only a loss for them money wise but what if someone buys a used lipstick!? I check very carefully because sometimes it's hard to tell. It's unsanitary. Even Walmart bumped up their game in the make up department. Come on CVS Jamacha! I want to commend Patti in the Pharmacy. There is no fire that she can't put out. I have had problems with insurance and Patti can always get it figured out for me. The same goes true for my husband Rick who is also a regular at the pharmacy. He does not turn a prescription in unless patti is working because there's always some kind of a niche in the system, but she knows how to work her way around it and make things happen in a very cost efficient way. Here is a example of what Patti has done for me. I have been paying a large amount of money for Donnatol, for several years at this pharmacy, I was told that there is no generic and my insurance does not cover it. I was paying over $200 at a time for the medication because I was told there's no generic. I finally decided to just fill two weeks worth of the medication because it was so expensive. I finally went over talked to Patti and she said to me why are you paying so much there is a generic, I was floored. To make a long story short the medication now cost me two dollars and some odd cents. I hope that you commend Patti and let her know what she's worth to so many patients that come to your pharmacy at CVS. A job well done Patti! read more

Pharmacy staff not professional nor the friendliest bunch. The girls there could benefit from some customer service training. Also, I haven't seen the rude cashier lately, glad he's no longer there. Witnessed him yelling at a father in front of his kids for grabbing a cvs shopping cart to haul water gallons after filling them in front of the store. He told him he couldn't use the shopping carts unless he was shopping. I do have to say that the older female cashier and brunette cashier are very friendly. The pharmacy manager, Sally Arabo, was super rude and totally unprofessional. We were never greeted or acknowledged. She left 3 people standing in line for quite a while and when we asked if we'd be helped she got ver rude stating that she was on the phone! I told her that all she had to do was acknowledge us and state she'd be right with us. She ignored me and then refused to help me and ordered another employee to help. What a childish, immature manager Ms. Arabo behaved like that day was appalling. She deals with sick and injured people in pain and behaves that rudely... This pharmacy closes early frequently. Multiple times I have gotten there a few minutes before closing and it's all locked up. Today I rushed there as my doctor called in a prescription on a Sunday for something I really needed. I told the people behind the screen this as I got there at one minute before closing but they had already closed up. I told them how important it was and they did not care. Let me start by saying thank you to this CVS location! Every other CVS I have been to was of the one and two star variety. I had a prescription called in and filled at my regular CVS in Vegas but had to leave town to come to SD. Tickets had been purchased and I was under a time crunch. I contacted this location after getting to SD and they said they would take care of it. They contacted the Vegas store and made it happen. They even took care of a minor snafu with the insurance. The lines can be long at this pharmacy sometimes which isn't very convenient, however, Brad is always very sweet and helpful. I always ask to speak to him in regards to anything because he always has answers to any of my questions. This pharmacy has made a mistake of having medication delivered to me, which took longer than just picking it up. Some staff members here can be a little clueless sometimes and give you the "I don't know" shrug. I have good and bad experiences at this pharmacy. read more

I have been here a few times recently because they are close to my house. Every time I have been to this pharmacy, there is very little wait and there is always someone to talk to who speaks english. We went here yesterday to get 4 prescriptions filled at the pharmacy which turned out to be a good experience. The pharamacists there were helpful, but didn't explain any side effects or warnings like they do at Walmart Pharmacy. The actual CVS surprisingly had alot of items out of stock and we couldn't find any of the items that we initially came there to get. The items in the aisles were out of place and thrown about. There was only one cashier and one other CVS employee who appeared to not be doing anything but hiding in the back of the store. I won't be returning here just for the fact that this particular CVS doesn't have the items I come there for and the employees were not very friendly. The pharamacists were all friendly and fine though. I have no problems coming back for them specifically if they can be transparent on side effects and stuff like that. Like yeah it's on the prescription paper, but it's still nice to be told the stuff as well before ingesting the specified prescriptions. read more

I'm writing this as I am in the store. I am beyond angry. My sister and I are here to get meds for my niece who is sick at home. My 5 year old nephew is here with us. He was flicking the box of medication (can I remind you, he's 5). We told him to stop but again, he's a 5 year old child. Matt, who works in the pharmacy, literally walked over to my nephew and said, "stop doing that. We have to straighten this stuff." Let me just paint the picture for you, nothing was on the floor, nothing was messed up....the box was just pushed back a few inches. He either hates his job, hates his life, hates children or all of the above. I think Matt needs to take a class on how to treat people. There is enough hate in this world. I have socks with sandals on and my nephew is wearing snow boots , maybe he just judged us. Either way, if you come in here and see Matt in the pharmacy, remind him that children are people too that he has NO right to treat a child like that. I will also be reaching out to the manager. He should be ashamed. His job should be given to someone who knows a thing or two about customer service. read more

I came in today to pick up my prescription and they couldn't find it this is not the first time I have come to this place before and the service takes forever and they take so long to acknowledge you and I don't even know how they're in business the one on avocado is the best one I don't know if this is a training site or what but the service here is just awful! I have Auto refill and the phone tells me that my prescription is here but yet they can't find it so in the meantime the line is just piling up with people and I'm so angry they need to do better customer service. I called looking for an item and provided the item number and I was told they had it in stock so I drove out of my way for that specific item since it's sold old most places and when I arrived they didn't have it. I asked if they can possibly call another store to see if they had it available and they refused to call or help me. Wasted my time! I have my 2nd vaccine dose for my autism son and he came because my son cried and pointed with his finger in discrimination and insultingly manner that don't come again and we don't accept like these cases. I want to specifically call out this location with genuine gratitude and appreciation. I am a USPS Postal Worker, and we were recently lumped in under Phase 1B as essential workers eligible for the Covid vaccine. The process of going online to schedule my appointment was seamless, and the appointment for the second shot in the vaccination series was automatically made for two weeks out. When I arrived at the pharmacy for my appointment I was promptly checked in despite being ten minutes early. I walked to the shot area in what is obviously normally used as the store stockroom - BUT - the little area set aside for the vax clinic is inside a little easyup canopy enclosed in plastic sheeting attended by pharmacists. They took my temp, verified that I was feeling healthy, and administered a completely painless shot! I was given a little card with the date, time, and strain/brand/variety (?, but the Pfizer one if you're keeping score) of vaccine I was given with the date for my second dose clearly noted to keep for the vaccine records. At all times, the administering pharmacist ensured that any questions I may have had were answered and told me what to expect. One quick jab (again, 100% painless!) and it was off to the little sitting lounge area for 15min to ensure I was feeling ok, then off home I went! Having elderly family members in vulnerable health, I'm SO HAPPY to be finally be vaccinated, and can't wait for my second shot for full effect! Five hours later now, I'm starting to feel extremely mild soreness in the arm, but meh... Remember - we can get back to "normal" once everyone who's able gets vaccinated. It's worth it! Worst customer service ever! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt the first 2 times I was treated rudely. Today, it was over the top! Guy didn't want to ring anybody up, directed us all to self chk out. Lady behind me told me to go ahead of her, she needed a cashier. He rolls his eyes at her. I start ringing up my stuff, and it says ask for help. Mr wonderful comes over and says " you're doing it wrong. You don't go like this!" As he swings my item crazily back and forth over the scanner. I said that's not what I was doing. He says " yes it was" I told him not to give me attitude. He says he's not, that I'm giving him attitude! I asked him to scan my heavy items ( cases of soda and water) he won't. I ask for a manager, a person with a top knot and shaved sides is standing 5 feet away and doesn't intervene at all is who I'm told is the manager. I ask them, is this how you let your employees talk to customers? No response, still! I ask first guy his name. He flashes me his badge which has half his name scratched off. On purpose, I'm sure because I ask again saying I can't see that. He just flashes it again instead of answering me. It looked like Edward or Eduardo, I'm not sure. Never did find out Mr. Mute's name, the " manager". Will be reporting to corporate also, as I don't expect any help going through the store directly. read more

The pharmacy technician named Iadet is the rudest person I've ever encountered at a pharmacy. You would think someone who works at a pharmacy would also be educated on how to deal with customers. No. Not at all. I came in to pick up my fathers prescription and she told me to pay 22 dollars for it. After explaining to her that he has dual coverage and to check eligibility she told me to go to the next window to check it. When I walked over, there was a gentlemen who just approached the window and she helped him instead and told me that he had been waiting. But when I got to the pharmacy there was no one waiting at all. I waited about 7 minutes until I called the pharmacist over to help me instead. Iadet then got defensive and said that this man was waiting and she was going to help me when she was done. No Iadet you're imagining things. The pharmacist helped me in a courteous manner and I was very appreciative. Do yourself a favor and don't come to this pharmacy. read more

I went in yesterday to buy a beauty sponge and I ended up grabbing other things as well I was approached by Debra and She specifically said to me "I wanna make sure you aren't putting things in your bag and stealing" I was speechless.. I was looking at a foundation at the time and I had my phone in my hand because I was looking up the shades to make sure I get a good match instead of opening the product in store like a lot of people do. So anyways I was like what? So I give her my purse with no hesitation and I go "look through it" she was like no It's fine it's just that one of the workers thought that she had seen you put things in your purse I was like wow. So she walked away. Tbh I really didn't want to be giving that store my money because how pissed off I was, but I was like no lemme but it so she knows I had the funds and wasn't actually stealing. I don't remember the last time I was so mad & honestly so shocked. I go to the register and there is Debra again she's the only register open but she had time to come to me and accuse me of stealing. So I asked her why she didn't go through my purse? She knew she messed up bad. I called cvs after I got home and filed a complaint I should be getting a call in 2 days. If you're reading this Debra I was NEVER going to let this go and walk away. What you did was fucked up & I hope you never do it to anyone ever again. read more
