I stand by my prior reviews however this one is for the old lady with the shoulder length gray hair that's walking around the store telling other associates that people are shop lifting when they're not. This is harassment and defamation and I will be contacting upper management and corporate about how this store is ran. From the pharmacy to the stock in the stores (everything is always in boxes on the floor) to the actual staff. Rude, unprofessional and runs customers out of the store after accusing them of stealing. Today was the day I needed to re up all my vitamins and Rx. Guess what? I switched my prescriptions to this location from the Grossmont CVS, and let me tell you, they are amazing here!!!! What a difference! The wait is always reasonable. Everyone here is incredibly friendly. My husband and I got the flu vaccine here too and the lady was really sweet and even accommodating to our son, who happened to be with us. He mentions her each time we go to this CVS lol. Some of the women at the regular store register can be a pain to deal with, but that's what self checkout is for! Well parking was easy. Had New Years cards made. The machines were broken but they were too busy to alert customers of this. When I asked, someone helped me, which I imagine took longer than making a sign. When the order was ready, I picked up asking if all the envelopes were there. I was told they were. I got home and started stuffing them. 12 envelopes short. Leave for the holiday tomorrow and have to go back to CVS. There is no attention to detail. They greatly need managing in the store. read more

Rude. Charges $.25 for a recycling deposit for a box of Franzia wine. Then will not refund it when the box is returned. Why? Only the manager can refund 25 cents. "So when will the manager be there?" This review is specifically for the PHARMACY. First and foremost, the only silver lining of this place (and they should be ever so grateful to have him on their staff is PHIL. He's a great guy, a hard worker and the only employee in the pharmacy that is friendly). Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's get back to why I'm writing this review. Like many others on here, I fully agree that the customer service is horrible and I left this pharmacy because of the consistent TAMPERING with my medication. I've had the seal of my bottle completely broken and more than HALF of the pills missing inside. When I called the pharmacy manager to notify them of what happened, she had this accusatory tone in her voice asking if I was the one that picked up the medication. I told her why would I call and lie when they could easily check the store cameras and times to see if I was or wasn't the person that didn't pick them up? I don't have a record of lying to pharmacies about missing medications and I was clearly upset because it was a very important medication to my health. Then a couple of days later, I picked up another prescription, I get home and because of the recent missing number of pills incident that previously happened I decided to count the number of pills in this current bottle (which I SHOULD have been doing) but drumroll please.....MISSING PILLS ONCE AGAIN! It was off by 3 but still they're ripping me off. When it says on the RX bottle that you're paying for a quantity of 60 it shouldn't be 57! So once again, I had to drive down to the store and try not to be too harsh to the employees but I was visibly upset. I explained to them in the most professional and compassionate way that this kind of service we are paying for is absolutely unacceptable and I understand they're understaffed, overwhelmed, etc... but this type of thing can't be tolerated. Twice in one week? How many other people was/is this happening to? I don't know if it's just an error on their part or if they are straight up ripping people off and the employees are stealing. The tampered bottle I had was definitely theft. After these two incidents, I had other RX bottles with 1 to 3 missing pills because they're supposed "counters" had been off. So, in conclusion, if you continue to have your prescriptions filled at this horrendous pharmacy check your medications and count them out before you leave the store. Or do what I did and switched to back to another pharmacy (Walgreens) because I finally had enough of CVS after they completely LIED to me saying my insurance was terminated and asked me to pay full price for my medications (when in reality I found out from my prescription insurance company that CVS had a widespread reboot on their customer accounts and many of them had insurance information deleted. All the pharmacist had to do was just re-run my insurance claims for the medications and they would have been updated. Of course me as the customer had to request them to do this because if on their own, customer service and problem solving is just too much effort.) Good luck to y'all. I only had my medications filled through CVS because of my old health insurance who unfortunately forced us get our RX's though them. Ugh. Phil, save yourself and go work at another pharmacy! Or just stay at the one in Santee! This place is either going to end up on the news for a bad reason or burn to the ground from pissed off customers! Mark my words! read more

My son absolutely loves CVS. They are his version of Disneyland so we have been visiting some other locations and decided to stop here. It is in a large plaza and there is ample parking which is always a perk in San Diego. I was super surprised when we walked in the store is so large. It is likely the largest CVS I have ever been into. I did notice that it is likely so large because it has a clinic in the back of it which is really nice to have for our area. There are also a lot of medical supplies. My sons reasoning for loving CVS has to do with the toy aisles. Sadly, for him this location did not have much. He loves to look at and play with the toys and look at all of the hot wheels. They dd not have more than a handful of items and he wanted to leave pretty quickly. I understood for him. Even though my son was disappointed I wasn't. This location has everything I would ever need to find from a drug store. I know I will come back here and just leave my son at home because I would be able to find great make up, medicines, and home items. read more

It could be on the wall, it could be in the box on the floor by the wall, it could be on the box on the other side of the counter on the floor. It could possibly be anywhere. Words cannot express how much I hate CVS Pharmacies, and this location is no exception. I am specifically talking about the pharmacy in this review. They are rude- rude when you're right- rude when they're right (which is rare) - Just rude. Today was the worst experience I've had so far with them, and enough to make me want to find any other pharmacy to go to - anywhere besides them. First, the person at 'pick up' rudely snapped at me when I asked her about a particular med that was supposed to have been ready. I then had to deal with two other employees at 'drop off' who gaslighted the hell out of me and used every excuse in the book to get me to give up on getting the med. They then tell me to sit down while they figure it out. Eventually (after about 10 minutes), I heard the pharmacist chew them out for blowing me off, and she gave me the med in question. Kudos to her, at least. But most months I struggle with them. They run out of meds regularly, do partial fills without even telling you that's what they did, act all put out about fixing their own errors... Every month it's something else. read more

Very helpful staff. I spent considerable time with Sophia and Claire today trying to get a transaction to post to the new medical card I have. So kind and willing to help, I just kept asking questions and they did too, trying to figure something out when you have customers interrupting and a somewhat new process can be daunting. These ladies were the epitome of professionalism. I have gotten great deals with Caremark Program and plan to continue...looking for more items I can switch from Am azon. This is specific to the pharmacy, not the rest of the store. I have been forced to go to CVS due to insurance, so I would certainly change if I could. This particular location is run by the most power tripping pharmacist I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. In fact I have never really had to deal with a pharmacist as its never really been an issue over the 4 decades of my life. I have a medication that I take that requires a monthly refill, and due to the nature of this medication I can't get automatic refills. So every month I have to do the same song and dance around meeting with my Dr, getting the refill sent to the pharmacy, hoping they have the medication, calling the pharmacy to ensure it gets filled, and then picking it up. If my Dr sends in the prescription any earlier than 2 days before I can pick it up they will not refill without me calling in, which is most of the time. If I need to get extra because I am going out of town and it overlaps my refill (of which I have had to do this exactly one time) there is a entirely different song and dance where my Dr gets to call them a number of times, who they then ignore, and the pharmacist calls me and grills me about substance abuse, and then finally agrees to refill my prescription 10 days early after letting me know that she will "trust me this one time only". If they are out of one my medications then I get to have the lovely experience of choosing which punishment I get to receive on the refill. Either I get to make 2 trips to the pharmacy that week, or I can stop taking that medication and wait the magical 6 days until I am "allowed" to take my medication again, I can get a 6 day supply and then give up the rest of the month on that medication. OR, the pharmacist could see that I have zero history of abuse, and see that I have a staggered scheduled due to a supply issue and work with me on lining up the medications to be on the same schedule again. OR, the pharmacist could do what she actually did and say "Well, you should just stop taking the medication". Great, thank you. So, if you want a pharmacist to be a major interrupter of your medical care as established between you and your Dr this is the place to go. You get unsolicited commentary on your medical conditions, you get to be treated as a substance abuser, you get to be treated as nuisance in her oh-so-busy day of residing on Queen Pharmacist island where everyone is living at her displeasure. But, I am sorry that I have a medical condition that disagrees with her livelihood. I'd love to get rid of it if I could. read more

I want to really like this store because it's close to work. However, it's hit or miss. Most the time hit due to most items being in stock but also miss because there is confusion in the store. If you need assistance with anything it's hard to find. The self check out always seems to need assistance. I always feel bad for the employees that are working because they really are trying to do their best with 1 cashier and a line that goes down the aisle. Have been to this location a few times. Can for a rapid COVID test. There was about 3 cars when I pulled up (as I was early) and another one arrived after I did. The employees/nurses were very quick and informative and I was on my way within minutes. Got a call within an hour for my results and was told my results would be emailed by end of day. If I could give 0 stars I would. The incompetency of the pharmacists here is beyond. I understand being short staffed but giving misinformation to customers and running them around in loops to get medication is unacceptable. Nigel specifically helped me and informed me that they were out of stock of my medication, but another CVS could fill it no problem and sent me across town. When I arrived at the second CVS they said they were unable to fill the prescription since it is "new" due to it being a new refill request. When the pharmacist called this CVS they told them that they never spoke to me and that they had no idea about it. I have been working to get my sons medication for 3 days and have had the run around to the point of him completely running out. This is the second mistake this CVS has made with this prescription int he last 3 months. The first time being the tech miscalculated her inputs on the computer and never marked a pick up as filled so when it was time for a refill it was kicking back that it was too early and couldn't be filled and I had to wait another day to get it filled while their mistake was corrected. I have noticed the increase of student or freshly graduated techs working here without an experienced tech to oversee them. The care they provide is terrible and needs to be addressed. read more

Really not surprised this CVS has two stars. I wrote this months back but it saved as a draft, guess I'll post now... A friend and I went in around 6pm on a Friday and grabbed a 12pk and some candy. We took our items to the back of the store to attempt finding a bathroom, no such luck. So we went to the RX where there was nobody in line, simply asking where the bathroom was. The pharmacist and technician were SUPER nice, made small talk and said we could simply have the front employees open the bathroom for us. Awesome. We happily walk to the front and ask the cashier to which he responds the bathroom is closed. We thought it sort of strange, on a Friday at 6pm, as well as the pharmacy telling us otherwise - so we ask why? The cashier responds by calling the manager, let's call her Jan. "Ugh...JAN". He yells. This was my first hint that these people did not give a single fuck. "Jan" the manager on duty, walks out, which we repeat our conversation. Same response. She says it's closed so we ask why, seeing as how the pharmacy said otherwise. She ROLLS HER EYES, and starts fast walking to the back of the store. My friend and I glance at each other like, "is she walking away or do we follow??". We decide to follow, where she FORCEFULLY throws open a stockroom door and leaves. Had to find out ourselves that the bathroom is on the left, through the doors. Honestly, I was appalled at the attitude. Idk, if it's being mopped tell me it's wet. If it's out of order, say it's broken. But there was no reason given because there was no excuse - they literally just didn't want to show us? Not sure I fully understand due to the lack of communication and attitude on their fault. Needless to say, even though CVS is closer to me, the other pharmacy is just down the street. read more

I started coming to this CVS about 2 years ago when we moved into the area. Each time we have been here we have had a great experience. I have been to the minute clinic and have had wait times from 10 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. This is pretty typical for on demand doctors. They are also very nice and were able to address my needs. We use this as our pharmacy regularly and the team is very nice. We had a medication that was not covered by insurance and he was able to find a coupon that saved us $75 without us asking for him to do so. Overall, nothing but great experiences here, and we will keep coming back. read more

Went to pick up a prescription for probably the 10th time on this beautiful San Diego day during lunch at this pharmacy location and EVERY single time I have gone in the pharmacist is having the worst day of his life apparently. Today, I even picked up a new prescription and didn't receive counsel for the new medication. I actually asked him is this the same medication prescribed before and he said yes and sent me along my way. I didn't even feel like correcting him when I knew it was a different medication because of his rude demeanor. Just a suggestion get your prescription filled somewhere else as there is another CVS about three minutes down the street. read more

I went to this store on January 16, 2020 to pick up a few household things that were needed. Unfortunately I had to write a check because I was waiting for my debit card replacement. The check was declind probably due to the report of missing bank cards, which was not a problem. I left without what I went for. The problem arose when I checked my bank account on January 22, 2020 and that same check that was declined actually posted. So CVS declined the check, I left without any items but somehow they still took my money out of the bank. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to get my $32.91 refunded back but they keep giving me the run around. I am son happy with his store and their customer service. This needs to be addressed, they fraudulently took money from my bank. read more

I'd give this more stars for the store itself. Customer service is great there but not the pharmacy. This review is purely for the pharmacy. The white male pharmacy tech with glasses is a disrespectful old guy that THROWS whatever paperwork you give him. Doesn't look at you in the eye and speaks down to you with that annoying nasally voice. The refill service is absolutely terrible. I've called in my refills days before and it'll state i can pick it up the next day at 11. NOPE, i know the techs receive my request because I'll call back to check on it and it'll give me the time ready by. When i call about how it was supposed to be ready, they make me wait another few hours. This has happened multiple times at this store. I have never received a refill on time. The women techs are nice and the pharmacist is alright. The male techs have no respect or customer service skills. read more
