I have never felt any kind of pressure or discomfort here as a customer. The service here is top notch: the staff knows everyone by first name, they're incredibly courteous and conscientious, and if they can't fill a prescription for you they will work diligently to find a pharmacy close by who can. They also understand that insurance can be tricky and the cost of maintaining health in America presents its own challenges, so while they can't dictate the cost of medications, they try to make it as easy and as painfree as humanly possible to get what you need. They also have a solid selection of other things you might need in a pinch and are super knowledgeable about the pros and cons between different brands / products. Not to mention they also have little things like a section dedicated to the community featuring books from local authors. I respect that a lot. When people talk about the benefits of choosing smaller local businesses over bigger companies, I immediately think of places like this little pharmacy. My experience here is that they really care about their backyard and those of us who live here.

If they do not have your prescription it is ordered immediately and you are told when it will be there. Usually within 24 hours. I was with a locally owned pharmacy for over 30 years, the pharmacist retired and a new one came in and he was not efficient at all. So glad I picked Mike's Pharmacy and I'm sticking with them. Btw, Alex (female) who is now running the new Mike's (#3) she was my first experience at the Mountain Road location and she is awesome! The ladies who are now taking over for her at (#2) are just as pleasant. Must be a wonderful place to work for. Meanwhile, 1 to 2 cashiers that are so slow they're going backwards in time serve the people who actually get their rear end up in the morning. Then, the eggs are packed vertically in the bag!!, all the cold and warm food is mixed together, and cleaning supplies mixed with food. Also, Thanks for making my day as I unload all the bags in the parking lot and doing it correctly. P.S. Start looking at expiration dates, some of the food expired in June and it's August... nasty grocery store.
