Well, at West Street Exxon these guys know how to take care of the customer! Yes, its self service, so be prepared to pump your own. However, the attendant on Tuesday came over and said "why don't you let me do that for you today?" Uh, ooooo kaaay, is all that I could muster because I just haven't experienced that in literally years! Not only did he pump the gas, he brought my receipt to my window and then proceeded to ASK, did you hear me ASK, if I minded him checking my tire inflation because he thought it looked a bit low. I just melted and so did my co-workers. How nice to have folks from not only out of town, but from out of the country really see what our area is like from a community perspective, eh? Put in my card and discount number inside, look at the guy and say am I good? Because usually paying inside you set a certain dollar amount you want. He shakes his head. Go out pump my gas, pump shuts off at $20. Go inside and tell him and he's says "yes pay inside set certain amount" I said you never asked how much I needed so you just decided to put $20 on it? He says "oh no problem just pay again" I told him that now I've lost my discount and he doesn't even speak enough english to comprehend what I'm explaining to him that I had a discount that now was wasted on 11 gallons of fuel for a truck that holds 25 gallons. He couldn't understand so I sit there back and forth trying to explain in the end he still couldn't understand the problem and starts telling me I told him I wanted $20. They have a few pumps dedicated only to an ethanol grade gas which is different than the other fuel types. This is not a Shell product, but it looks like a regular gas pump. This is okay to run in cars but if you aren't paying attention, you will be pumping something different into your car. This caused lines at the other pumps to get fuel. I don't wait in line to get petrol in the US, so I moved on.
