There are deals sometimes but they will most likely be out of the product the same day. It's always clean and organized. The meat selection has an interesting variety but again, pricey. This is my regular grocery store, all the essentials and the store brand stuff is really great. They have name brand things and then the store brand is exactly the same but usually way cheaper. Those couple dollars make a big difference over a lot of items and I get the store brand whenever I can. read more

I was driving home to Annapolis from North Beach today, and I needed a few things, so I pulled into this Weis store. We used to shop at the one in Damascus MD. I was pleasantly surprised to find several items here that are not carried in either Giant or Safeway stores, including State Fair Chicken Sauce marinade that my husband loves to use when he is grilling. I also stocked up on several beef items, because their prices and package sizes were just what I needed. They also had actual lines open with human employees, and while they have some self checkout stations for convenience, they were not trying to force all the customers to go there. It's a great alternative, and I will definitely be back. read more

I discovered this hidden gem recently after experiencing rude customer service at a different grocery chain. This store is a bit outdated, but I really like the selection and the low prices. There are quite a few items in the store that I can't find in other grocery stores and I also enjoy the price breaks they give to seniors and to military personnel. I usually get pretty good service at weis, but one thing bothered me last week,there's one gut that just stands around eating usually at self check out. One day I was being checked out by a very nice young man and this guy came over eating a bag of chips and started insulting the young cashier asked him if he had a brain three times,it just bothered me to say to him,"I was wondering the same thing about you".I don't like a bully,I wonder what he says to this young man when no one's around. read more

My recent experience at Weis Market in Edgewater was poor. I am torn between two stars and one. The store is fine. Not great. Fine. Some things we have trouble finding elsewhere, A lot of pretty basic things--brands and products--that are no where to be seen. The produce is pretty impressive. Staff is really meh. Checkout just about made my head explode. Two registers open and long lines. The self check-out was empty. Now I know why. *sigh* What a miserable customer experience. It took forty minutes to check out with only four bags of groceries. Six--SIX--trips to hunt down help when the register *ahem* barfed on us. "Please remove unscanned item" "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that." "Your item does not exist" I won't bore you with weird prices that didn't match shelf tags. You would have thought I was trying to buy soylent green. Bah. It is not as if I don't use self check-out. Giant, Safeway, Home Depot, Publix (hey I get around), ... I can scan with the best of them, I keep track of item numbers, and I can look up items fast. Forty minutes to get out with only four bags. I haven't even started on their poor support of bringing your own reusable bag. You'd think the third or fourth time of hunting someone down to hear "that happens all the time" someone would be available. Nope. Gone. Disappeared. The cashiers seem to have similar problems. The lines in the checked registers were as long when I left as when I got in line. All this on a Tuesday early afternoon. 0 stars for IT and customer service. 1 star added for a clean and organized store. 1 additional star for nice produce. Not. Going. Back. For locals and transients the very nearby Safeway and Giant are better choices unless you have a liking for self-flagellation. I'd rather grocery shop at 7-11 or Rite-Aid. read more

Don't order online, don't go to the store in Edgewater. Staff very unprofessional an lack any customer service skills. Told me l didn't place order. l called back 6 times they wouldn't answer an finally l got someone that said hello. No order under that name. Hung up, l called an let it ring, it stopped an l called again an again. Then girl said is it one item... then l said the total was $70.96 My account was deducted an it shows pick up at Edgewater my order number is... l heard got it, wait l will find someone to bring it out.account. No apology... then the young man didn't want to give me my receipt. What the heck????? read more

Since they've installed the self check out my family and I (which all shops at Weis) noticed that they either have ZERO lanes open or just ONE cashier that isnt self check out. I always have a full cart filled to the top. Why would I want to do self check out! That should be only for serval items not 100+ items! Unrealistic. The cashiers are upset and stress you can see it all over their faces!! I don't blame them. Corporate needs to help this store out ! Come on WEIS! read more

I am shopping here regularly. I´m finding the prices better than at many of the other stores, and the people who work here have been friendly and do their jobs well. It has everything I need in terms of food, though the selection of nonfood items or specialty items is more basic compared to other stores. read more

The staff is nice, but the food is overpriced and way more expensive than it was when Food Lion was there. I get better sales by going to Giant (which is where I shop now). Also, they don't carry a lot of stuff Giant carries. I won't be back. The store also looks literally no different than when Food Lion was there. read more

I stopped by on Wednesday 12/ 14/2016 - last day of circular specials and almost every item I was shopping for was sold out . The lady helping me was Meredith and she was exceptionally nice and helpful!! She allowed " like items" to be substituted and rang me up . The cash receipt does not read what you actually end up paying and when I analyzed it , I was still over charged . She immediately took care of the situation and refunded my money . I took the survey on the receipt when I got home and never expected to hear from anyone. It's Saturday @ 6:30pm and the store manager CALLED ME to apologize for my experience and asked me to please call back so he could regain my trust in his store !!! I'm floored to say the least !!! I'll be calling Greg back on Monday to thank him and his staff for their wonderful CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I live 20 minutes away from this store but may go back just bc if that call on a late Saturday I'm still in shock someone called me back !!!! Merry Christmas! read more
