There isn't anything good to say about this pharmacy. Every prescription order they have managed to mess up. At this point I fear for my safety and have had to switch to another pharmacy out of fear of these employees incompetence and lack of apparent knowledge in what they're doing. Hire better pharmacists or train the ones you have better. Hopefully you idiots don't end up accidently killing someone one day. read more

If I could give this pharmacy a negative star I would. The store itself is okay and the pharmacist use to be helpful and caring; and I have been using this pharmacy for over 20 years. However, the new pharmacist is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of helping me figure out how to proceed with the problem at hand, she complained about the old pharmacist saying what he did was illegal and then proceeded to tell me my doctor's office is unresponsive. Also she stated that "someone needs to manage your mom's medicines, I can't go through 600 patients and keep track", I never asked her to do that so?? Long review to say, take your business somewhere else. I really feel for the elderly people who get their medicines here as this pharmacist is not about helping, understanding or caring - all things needed from a professional pharmacist. read more

I am a frequent shopper at CVS. Robert is my favorite cashier. He is always so friendly and energetic. He says hello to everyone with a smile and has a consistent positive presence that just radiates! I know that sound a little over the top---------but it is true! The other cashiers are friendly as well. The lady with the braids is also consistently friendly and helpful. She is always multi-tasking. The pharmacy is usually very busy. Yes--the line is often long.However I don't get cranky and demanding because I know they are doing there best. All pharmacys have long lines. I have been purchasing my medication from CVS for years. No problem! However, I do have a complaint regarding the pharmacy. The staff always has to bend down to the lowest shelves to find customer's medication. That must be so harmful for their backs! ---------Get with it management! Be an advocate for your employees and fix this serious problem!!!!!!! No I do not work at CVS. read more

Do NOT refill your prescriptions here if you can avoid it. Here are a few issues I have with this particular pharmacy: -The wait is always incredibly long for pickups. -I get calls from this pharmacy telling me my order is "ready for pickup" but then when I arrive (and wait 20 minutes in line), I get told that there is no prescription waiting for me... So I'm redirected to ANOTHER line to place my refill order. This has happened at least 5 times -They are so SLOW and know nothing of time management. I had limited time to deal with waiting for my prescription, but they told me it would be no problem, I could pick it up in 15 minutes. I ended up having to wait FORTY-FIVE minutes. -some of the pharmacists are pretty rude and unsympathetic. With all of their mixups, a simple "sorry" or acknowledgement that THEY messed up would have really appeased me. Most of the time they don't even bother to make eye contact with their customers, and act like the mixup was my fault somehow. Really a miserable experience, literally every time I go to this pharmacy. It's my personal hell. read more

Wow!!! I have to fully disagree with the review made by Susan regarding Emily. If it was the same Emily I met today on Christmas she was fantastic and a great help. I was having a hard time finding a specific cream my wife sent me in for and Emily was more than helpful wearing her Christmas light earrings. The store was generally clean for the day of Christmas it was a little annoying that the Christmas items were not on sale yet as the rest of the stores around already started their clearance. I disagree that the lines are always long. It depends on the time of day it is like any pharmacy. If the line does get long then they add another person to handle the volume. Have never waited more than 5 minutes and have been going there for 3 years. This area we live in has a lot of Seniors so they have many medical issues that need drugs so therefore the reason for the number of customers. CVS in the crossroads shopping center is always courteous and they do their job well. I am constantly reminded that meds are ready to pick up. They only give me 30 days worth of meds so I have to have them mailed to be instead to get 90 days worth. read more

Okay, so first let me say I am a huge CVS fan. I have used countless CVS pharmacies across the country, and I have always had super fast, good service. I love the automated refill system. HOWEVER, this CVS is a problem. I have even written complaints to the company. The staff are perfectly nice, but the problem is definitely the pharmacist (or pharmacists - I think there are two men). He always has an excuse, but it is usually the same one: "all my staff are out with the flu" or "I had a lot of staff out sick." So often I put in a refill request, receive confirmation that my Rx is ready for pickup, but then it isn't there and I find out that they either A) haven't even ordered it, or B) ordered it but it won't be in for a few days. I feel sorry for the older people or disabled people who are more dependent on their meds than me. In summary, go somewhere else. There are tons of other pharmacies in town, I just haven't figured out which one is best yet. I will look around and post a review when I find a more reliable option! read more

It's a large, well stocked store. I use it frequently for their ATM. However, their checkout lines are the absolute WORST. Prepare to add 10 minutes to any shopping you may have done. Their checkout clerks are painfully slow. You will wait and wait and wait. 3x in the last 6 months I have returned my purchases to the shelf and just walked out. It is that bad. There is never more than 2 clerks ringing. First, they begin every transaction with "do you have a CVS card?" If you say 'yes' some clerks ask for your phone number, others ask you to key it into the keypad. No consistenancy. I just say 'no I do not' despite the fact that I do have a card. It just eats up too much time. Then, of course, there is the long, long, long receipt that you must wait for to print. Why do they bother? It goes straight into the trash if I even accept a receipt. Corporate needs to fire everybody on staff and start from scratch. Train then in proper customer service and try again. Really a bad store. read more

This CVS, like every CVS on the Peninsula used to be a Longs drugs. Which, while not always perfect, was at least full of relatively happy employees and was mostly efficient. Now, as a corporate monster CVS, the employees seem very stressed and not at all happy to be working, and who can blame them? The store is perpetually understaffed and the pharmacy consistently screws up my prescriptions, not filling things that I really need, which are on automatic refill, while at the same time filling things that I no longer need that have canceled several times, to no avail. It is a needlessly stressful and irritating experience. Waiting in line for 20 minutes to be told my prescription isn't ready just plain sucks (especially when it's my high blood pressure meds). And I don't at all blame the employees, they are clearly trying to operate in a broken system. Avoid CVS like the plague, especially if you have the plague, because the medicine you need for it will not be ready. read more

The good news is they have a Dr Scholls Custom Fit machine next to the line because they know the long wait is going to make your feet sore and orthotic inserts will be required. The people that work at this CVS are really wonderful and helpful, but the displays are uninspired and the bottom shelving is almost on the floor, making it nearly impossible to see or read what's down there unless you kneel.This is basically a retirement community and that was not addressed at all in making the shelves more user friendly. They run all the cosmetics in a straight line without making pretty and separate displays for different manufacturers, although there are some of those in other areas. It literally took me a good ten minutes to find a bottle of eye make up remover as everything was jammed together. I've never seen a creative display except around Christmas. When this store was Longs, the atmosphere inside was always festive with lots of color and fun displays. This is a gorgeous area and I would expect more from this store especially to reflect that and not look like a Target on the inside. The staff has always bent over backwards to help people but it seems that there are too few to find should you need to ask a question. If the displays were set up so that customers could find things easily, more staff wouldn't be necessary. Making the public really feel welcome doesn't take that much. The great people that work there certainly know how to do this. read more

The worst!! On Saturday the emergency doctor called in a pain killer for my husband who was in agonizing pain. The so called assistant manager, when I asked for help, said she would not talk to me unless I lowered my voice. I said this is my voice and never mind and walked away. Since I had been waiting for four hours and that woman had no interest in helping, I stuck my tongue out at her. She called the police. The policeman asked her what happened and she said I came at her cussing. I said that's a lie. The policeman told me to get away and be quiet. Then, caught in a lie, the asst mgr says, she stuck her tongue out at me. BTW, that is not against the law. All I wanted was a prescription for my husbands pain. Five hours and two policeman later, I took a bow. That's what it took for me to get an emergency prescription. Also that tall lady said I am banned from CVS! Plus, they had not started my prescription until the policeman spoke to the pharmacist. Hilarious! I am banned! What for? Indecent exposure of my tongue? The world is so upside down. Policeman says he will arrest ME if I ever go into that store. CVS deserves zero stars. read more

This CVS is pretty huge, probably on par with the one I went to in Arcadia. Very new and clean exterior. The people that work here are nice, small-town mentally I suppose makes them nicer. The bathrooms in any CVS seem to be shared with the employees, and it seems like they are old or not cleaned that often. Not a huge issue with me, but it is strange that most CVS locations are like this... hopefully I'm wrong. read more

5/23/2018. Our family has been a customer of this CVS for many years. On several occasions, my medication was replaced by a generic brand, despite a note on my file. When it happened again this week, I called CVS and asked to fix the problem. Mina kindly took care of the issue, contacted the pharmacist and let me know that I can come back and exchange the meds. When I came back Mina was gone, and Steve told me that I would have to come back when Mina is there. He did not even look into my file or checked the shelf to see if my medication was there. I told him that I will wait for him to check with Mina, for which he replied that I can wait as long as I want - he is not going to do anything about it, and left me by the counter. I continued to wait, just to see him extremely frustrated with my presence. Fortunately, his assistant (a young lady) took time to check the issue and soon found my medication. If this CVS continues to hire pharmacists like Steve, we will have to switch to another pharmacy. read more

Probably the slowest pharmacy in the Monterey area. Lineups are 20 minutes deep every time I have been there. C'mon guys: hire another clerk or so. Addendum: I decided to get my prescriptions filled elsewhere. So now I get 10 (!) voicemails a month from CVS reminding me to fill my prescriptions. I phoned today and they said they cannot stop automatic voicemails(!), and I have to call the corporate office. Well, F no. I have blacklisted their phone number and will never shop there again. Here is a dangerous pharmacy. First went for flu shots and got the wrong dosages even after mentioning the high dose needed for persons over 65. Also the pharmacists did not know how to correctly give an IM injection. He gave it in the incorrect arm muscle to my wife, took some 20 seconds to extremely slowly inject the vaccine. In 40 years of experience in the medical field I have never seen such. Ordered an RX and told it was out of stock but would be in next afternoon. Not there told it would be in Monday afternoon, not there, told it would be in the next day ...not there. Three days later Told that the drug was not available from the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and they reported no shortage of the drug. Pharmacist sent a memo to my primary MD suggesting she order a different drug. She said she was sure there were no problems with the drug. Went to another CVS and had the prescription transferred. 10 minutes later I had my RX. There was one. Rey he Paul pharmacist who seemed t o go out of his way.....but he is gone now. I strongly recommend you DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. Ask for explanation and be sent to someone else and get another snarky reply and then get in line again. Some refills are partially filled and they have no problem asking you to come back tomorrow or the next day when they expect a shipment. On a 1 to 10 scale the pharmacy is a solid 1 maybe a 1-. I have to agree with other comments. The staff here is rude. They made a mistake and did not follow their own policy to counsel for new drugs - I picked up 3 prescriptions and when I got home noticed there was one I did not order. They claim my dr order it, had they followed their policy to counsel for new meds. I would have caught the error before leaving the store. The pharmacist did not apologize, just fave a smug remark "oh we did not do that". I am considering moving my business elsewhere - they don't seem to care about the customer or that they do not follow their policies. What other policies are they ignoring and being careless about. When I called to see what I could do, she was friendly yet very professional and assured me they could help. She told me she and a pharmacist would be there over the weekend. By far the worst service ever! I went in to get a prescription filled on Saturday (10/25/2014), at around 5:45pm. The young lady at the front counter was nice and helpful. However, the person who seems to be the Lead Pharmacist, or at least at that moment, she seemed in charge, was so miserable and rude. In front of me, there was an elderly couple trying to get a flu shot, instead of taking the time to explain their procedures in a kind manner, she yelled from the back that it was too late! If they wanted the flu shot to come back tomorrow at 9:00am! The manner is which she talked to them was so rude, she was rolling her eyes, and she seemed furious, it appears as if she hates her job. When it was my turn, she took one glance at my prescription, and quickly proceded to tell me: "It's 10 minutes to 6pm!, All CVS' will be closing soon, I don't have this medicine, but you can go to the 24 hours Walgreens in Seaside! She turned around and continued rolling her eyes to her co-workers. read more

I signed for a prescription that should have been covered by insurance, but my timing was two days off and the medication was not covered. I should have read the charge instead of assuming it would be covered. The lead technician, in the pharmacy (Toni) went above and beyond to correct what was MY error. Her manager also deserves a thank you for asking that my mistake be reviewed and corrected if possible. A very busy store, but they found time to do right by me. read more

You can do much better elsewhere. I am in a position to help seniors with their medications and I have had multiple issues with this pharmacy. I called in a refill, received notice that MD would need to approve. I called the MDs office, because the cardiac medication would run out in 5 days. Office phoned in refill that day and requested "rush". I called 4 days later and it still wasn't filled. I went to pick up personally and they said, "it's out for delivery". It arrived after 5pm !. I talked to Pharmacy manager and was given the typical, "won't happen again." Next time the delivery man was on vacation ! NO NOTICE ! My elderly client was not informed. When I went to pick up medication I asked and confirmed 3 times how long delivery would not be available and was told July 11. THREE TIMES. Today, I went to pick up meds and they are out for delivery ! I speak to pharmacist and get no where. WE have to figure out , etc Turns out the delivery driver was back June 11th. Any notification ? Another client (today) went to pick up breathing meds and was told it would be $500. AFTER they questioned, the pharmacy decided to check with MD for insurance info, diagnosis, etc. Had this elderly person not had, hired assistants to clarify the matter ...? I am urging all my clients to transfer their RXs elsewhere ! read more

I just got the royal run around from the CVS Pharmacy. I called them today to tell them a friend would be picking up my prescription, as I am in the Cachagua fire zone and cannot get to town. They first said they had the prescription, then, the second person told me they do not accept credit cards over the phone. My friend made a second trip to the pharmacy for me, and was told they did not have a prescription for me. They thought my name was "Patricia", the lady told me when I called the third time. No prescription for someone named Patricia. When I repeated my name, she said "No one has ever called you Patricia?" I said of course not! "Well, I'm very sorry" she said. Right. She's sorry, for being inefficient, and a great inconvenience for me. I will never shop there again. The pharmacy manager Valerie got mad at me when I told her that my Rx was missing 1 pill - got 29 instead of 30. Valerie told me that if I did not like their service I should go to Walgreen's. Marsha can never get through to my insurance company. Walgreen's never has a problem. I used to use Walgreen's when I lived in a big city. When I moved here, this CVS is right next door to where I live and I can walk there. But the service is so bad, I gladly drive 7 miles to the Walgreen's where I get excellent and friendly service. The only reason this pharmacy succeeds is because they do not have competition like in a big city. When I told Valerie I would Yelp my experience she laughed at me saying that CVS has the power to get Yelp reviews removed. Valerie then gave me the finger. How does someone like this get to be pharmacy manager? The store is very expensive - even with their 30% discount coupon other stores are cheaper.
