Gotta say, Burbank pharmacy is the worst. There's two in Studio City that are much better, or Elements.

What is up with this CVS? I just dont get it... are they low of employees to restock new or old item... or the manager just doesnt want to put the effort in to getting the place filled. Okay... Manager of CVS, we get the fact that your not getting paid what you want. So...QUIT! Others would love to have your job. Mainly with the economy these days. The worst pharmacy I have ever been at. Urlinda is the worst pharmacist. She likes to pass judgment on patients. It takes 1 hr for anyone to pick up the phone. Honestly it's not safe to have 1 person at night running around answering the phones and fill medication. Why CVS can afford to bring more staff is Beyond me. read more

I just moved here so I had to find a place to transfer my prescriptions since there wasn't a Ralph's close by that had a pharmacy I could transfer to. I'd used CVS in college once and had a pretty good experience so I thought it would be an ok experience. I mean how hard is it to fill a prescription? I transferred my prescription on Sunday and went in to pick it up today (Tuesday). Yes, the prescription was filled but they had to file my insurance so it took a little longer. They said it would take 10-15 minutes. Ok, no problem. Their computer system crashed three times, so that 10-15 minutes turned into a 1 1/2 hour wait. Every time it would crash they would come to the wait area and let me know. Now the last time it crashed they came over and told me they found out the price but the system crashed again before they could print the statement. I figured at least it's in the computer now so once it's back up they'll just have to press print. The two hour mark comes around and I'm finally really fed up and go up to the consultation desk. They had put it BACK IN THE BASKET! They knew I was waiting and they put it back in the basket. Now, I get home and open my prescription and it's not the right one. I call to see why I got a different brand. I describe my issue to the first person who answers, she says she is going to check. A second woman picks up and asks what the problem is. She also says she is going to check. Then a third person answer the phone and asks how he can help. By this time I've told me issue to two people and each of them have said they are going to check on the problem but neither of them have come back. I get the third persons name and let him know that he is going to answer my question. I finally get an answer and I was given the generic prescription of a different generic description. I didn't even know a generic could have a generic. This took another 20-30 minutes. I will be transferring my prescription once again. These pharmacists are completely rude and incompetent. read more

Called and was immediately put on hold for 15 min. ! Long lines ( update been waiting in line 30 minutes to find out my prescription is still not ready. Can you give an establishment less than one star? I would like to. I went to this CVS because it is literally a block away from my new apt. I wanted to print out some photos for the apt, so I arrived at CVS with high hopes. There were two other customers using the printing machines and one employee helping them. The employee did not acknowledge me as I sat down, which felt... awkward. I proceeded to plug in my device, but the machine could not read my memory stick... I was confused. I tried again. No luck. I asked for help. He told me to take some of the data off my device and come back. Um.. really? That's your advice? So, I switched machines and after fighting with the other one for about 20 minutes I got it to work. After I was done, the machine gave me a message to "please see an attendant." So I called the employee back to tell me what was up. He was completely uninterested in helping me, and asked me what i had done wrong. I said "nothing... I just got this message." He looked at me like I was insane, and then pressed some buttons, handed me a receipt and told me to go pay. I was pretty bummed out about that, and decided I probably wouldn't print anything again there. Flash forward to an emergency. I needed a headshot printed in a hurry, and I didn't have time to run to a different store. I was forced to go to CVS. I thought, maybe this time it'll be better. It was not. Again, the man did not acknowledge my arrival with a "hello" or "welcome." Again, I took a seat and plugged my (new) device with ONE picture on it. Again, the machine could not read my device. Again, the man told me my device was no good and I should remove the excess of media on it. (it was good. I had tried it out on every computer in my house... mac and pc. and for god's sake there was ONE picture on it!) Again, it took over a half an hour to print ONE picture. Again, I got a message on the comp. telling me to see an employee. Again, he looked at me like I was insane. I mean... for goodness sake. I felt that I had been polite and patient through the whole process. There was no need to treat me in such an antagonistic manner! I could not believe how rude that man was, or how unhelpful he was! After 30 minutes, a ridiculously long line at the register, cranky staff and a lot of frustration I walked out of there, vowing never to go back, and I never will. Never. read more

I'm trying to get a prescription filled for my chronic pain & the pharmacists tells me I habe to go to Beverly Hills to get it filled. they only take prescriptions from doctors in the Burbank area. I live about 3 miles from here & the CVS across the street just told me they can't fill it, they didn't tell me to go to Beverly Hills. also, they fill my other prescriptions here, for even stronger pain meds. I don't know what game these pharmacies are playing with us, but I'd rather die than live with this pain any further. FUCK THIS CVS & EVERY OTHER BIG PHARMACY...! FUCK THAT PHARMACIST...! I come here for the pharmacy and to shop. Alway have a pleasant experience. Not sure why for all the bad reviews. Sometimes you have to wait a bit in line but it branches out to self serve and being helped by a person which is a bit confusing. Happy employees every time I go. Love this CVS! read more

Accuracy is key! On many occasions the Yelp 5-star rating system, has not been the best gauge when researching a true experience at locations. I have been bitten way too many times when a 5-star location is in actuality a 2-star or even 1-star. Here the Yelpers got it right!! This CVS pharmacy is AWFUL! Actually awful is NOT the most accurate word. Abominable, unpleasant, offensive, alarming, horrific, deplorable, appalling, atrocious, dire, disgusting, horrible, distressing, dreadful, ghastly, harrowing, hideous, repulsive, horrendous - the sum of all words - explains the lack of customer service at this location. The only time there is no line - is during the dead of night. The time of night where everyone that has been lucky enough to receive their medication, accurately, earlier in the day, have passed out from said meds. I headed in on a Friday night around 9PM after visiting my Allergist earlier that day. The DOC has gone full electronic now, so no more chicken-scratched pieces of prescription pad paper in my pockets. Instead it goes directly to the pharmacy of my choice. I've been lucky enough to not need a prescription over the past 1.5 years, so when I chose to have my meds order sent here - I didn't know what I was getting into. So 9 PM and there's a line, only 2 staff members behind the counter. After waiting around 15 minutes to finally get to the counter to ask for my order - I was told that they couldn't find it. No biggie - I thought - I'll come in the following day maybe the emailed prescription hadn't arrived yet. Saturday - mid afternoon - again a line... After waiting close to 20 minutes in the line - finally got to the counter and asked for my pick up. Finally! They found my order and I'm ready to pay. I get handed 1 bag. Not thinking twice - I pay and off I go. I get home, open the bag - 1 of 4 prescriptions... I call my doctor to verify if all had gone through in the aforementioned prescription email that he sent electronically to the pharmacy. He confirmed yet resent as a precaution. I called after waiting a couple of hours to verify if my order was ready. When I finally got someone in the line, she verified my prescription. I explained my situation of waiting in very long lines on consecutive days, the pharmacy getting my order, and not having the time to wait again - I asked if I could just head straight to the counter and bypass another double digit minute wait - in an arrogant tone - "NO" she exclaimed. "If there's a line you have to wait." Now this story has gone on too long... The morale of the story - go somewhere else... Target, Rite Aid - anywhere else but here... read more

The store itself isn't bad but if you ever need a prescription refilled get out those hoops and be prepared to jump. Hmm let's start here: I needed a refill on syringes, called them up, they had to fax for the rx, estimated it would take about 3-4 days (weekend) so I called Monday to check the status and it said not available. So I called the doc, they said they never received the request. So they sent it over and finally 5 days after my refill request I got it Now: I called Saturday they said the Rx was expired and asked me to call my doc. I asked them to do it as I just had the lab work done last month and the refill must not have come through. Received a call today from a new doc telling me they received the request, but um "you have never been here soooo we need you to come in" I called CVS with the right fax number after 18 minutes on hold I was hung up on. 21 minutes on the 2nd call I got ahold of someone. I can't believe it took almost 40 minutes to get ahold of someone and I'm still going to have to wait another 72 hrs or so. CVS Pharmacy - Half hour hold - Drugstores Near Me - Burbank, California

Way over priced! We needed a couple script filled and they were so significantly higher than we normally pay that we took the time to find another pharmacy to fill it. Also, we called in our script and showed up at the time that they told us it would be ready but we still had to wait 30 minutes. Ugh, no good. As we approached the store, we could some type of construction happening. Then we smelled the distinct fumes of spray paint. Wife turned around deciding not to enter the store. I ventured on and saw workers painting the exterior window frames, mid-day. Thought it was strange to be doing this type of work on a Thursday, it seemed rushed and unprofessional. If you aren't coming here to fill a prescription, this place is great. However, if you are coming here for a prescription- this place is terrible. Run for the hills. I was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes, so I waited. 70 minutes later...it's still not ready. The elderly man in front of me (in line) has been here longer than me. I feel bad for him. But also, I'm pretty mad. I have things I need to do today. Coming here was a mistake. Employee interactions for the most part have been very friendly - but surprisingly unapologetic (wtf?). Mindy Nguyen the pharmacist is one if the rudest people I have ever encountered. She doesn't want to hear anything you have to say. Looks at you like a piece of trash. Rolls her eyes. Ignores you and starts working on something else while you stand there like and idiot. Stares blankly at you like you are speaking gibberish. She seems to despise her job and customers going to cvs for their medications. You took an Oath to serve us patients and you are not doing a very good job at it Mindy. The entire staff actually seems entirely miserable. Customer service has gone completely out the window here. Expect long wait times, in person, and even on the phone. This is the only 24 hour pharmacy in my area so I am stuck with using this location if I need a medication filled after hours. My Rx wasn't going through for some reason even though my doctor submitted them multiple times. They tried calling in the prescription and they were being sent to voicemail over and over again on the provider line. I had to beg for them to answer and all i got was attitude! Awful! Awful! I shop at CVS all the time all over and never had a problem. Anyway, I purchased a hair dryer when my luggage was lost.Long story but luggage arrived before I ever took the hair dryer out of the box. Earlier in the day when I was buying milk at another CVS I asked if I could return without receipt, the sales woman was nice and said I could bring it in for store credit. Great, I thought just what I need. I picked up the hair dryer and went to the Burbank CVS on Hollywood way which was buy my office. The first cashier did not even smile and acted like I was a pain. After nearly 10 minutes waiting the supervisor/manager (whoever she was) finally came who also had no smile. She pretty much told me I was out of luck without a receipt because they don't carry that hair dryer. What! I just bought it. Anyway, they always make me give my phone number, can't they look it up!!! She had zero solutions and wasn't trying to help. I drove straight to another CVS on Buena Vista who quickly and politely excepted the hair dryer and gave me a card for credit the next time I come in. There that was easy. Don't go here. Their minute clinic makes up there own hours. I was completely unimpressed with the situation they had going on here. I have used minute clinics in Chicago before I moved and had great experiences. However, this was AWFUL! I live in Hollywood and this is the closest location for me. I was feeling like death and had to take another day off of work when I realized it was time to see someone. I drove out here and even called ahead to make sure they were open, when I arrived, over an hour before they were supposed to close, there was sign saying they weren't taking any more people. I looked around thinking maybe they just had a ton of people waiting, but there was NO ONE. I tried to find someone to ask and see if they could squeeze me in, but no one was around. I reluctantly left and came back the next day. When I arrived the next day there was only 2 people in front of me and it took nearly 2 hours to get in. Finally, I was seen, the lady was really nice, I can't complain about her. She was a little vague about my prescriptions and what I needed. I waited in the hour long line to get my prescriptions and finally was on my way. While I was waiting on my prescriptions, I did a little shopping, but the store was pretty dirty and unorganized. Not sure if the phone number is incorrect because I definitely didn't hear that automated guy saying "welcome to cvs pharmacy..". Not sure what is happening but I already didn't like the location because they always gave me the wrong prescription. Thankfully their service isn't too bad and they're fairly quick, so it's usually not a hard fix..but today I received a text about my prescription being ready, and before heading over I decided to call to make sure it's the correct one. Went at 2:20 waited in line for 20 min and wasn't read. They asks e to come back in 10 min. Cam back 30 min later and still not ready. I'm writing this post for the pharmacist Ny Oung specifically because they helped me so much! I had tried to get a previous pharmacist there to help me apply my insurance to my perscription and she kept insisting that there was nothing she could so about it, and I ended up paying out of pocket for two months. Tonight I picked up my perscription and Ny insisted on looking further into my situation after I mentioned what had happened. I no longer have to pay now because he found the problem. Tried to make sure the phone number to my doctors was correct and before I finished the area code, was told no I have the right one. That was after calling my doctor to see if they had received the fax. Also didn't help with finding a different brand because of cost of the medicine which the doctor okayed on the Rx. On hold for 40 over mins waiting for an update on my Rx. Update! It was never sent they didn't have the right phone number and again waiting for inhaler. read more

Eh, it gets the job done, but it's often absurdly understaffed, especially in the pharmacy. Multiple times, I've waited in line behind several people screaming at the employees. I don't think this is the employees' fault - more like mismanagement and understaffing. read more

Not once in my years of using this location due to proximity has the order been ready when they said it would. I had great service at this CVS Pharmacy. I popped in at 9:30am on a weekday, hoping to quickly fill a prescription after a doctors appointment on my way to work. They said they could take it immediately, filled it in five minutes, and I was out the door and on my way. I've never had such a quick experience at a CVS Pharmacy before. The store itself appeared brightly lit, spacious and clean, and the parking lot has plenty of spots. If you're looking for a reputable CVS to run a quick errand, this place is great. read more

24/7! Think about it... when you wake up in the middle of the night, CVS (Hollywood Way location) is open. When you get home from that bar at 2:15 a.m. - CVS is open. When you need medicine because you aren't feeling well - CVS is open! When you are hungry and just want a unhealthy snack - CVS is open! Do I need to explain why I like this store? 4 stars, because: They have way too many options. Yes, that isn't always a good thing. It can be confusing. And, they are so busy, it's difficult to get someone to "help" you. Parking can be challenging because it's in a shopping center with a lot of other stores. Next door is a great bagel place and depending on the time of day - it can be crowded. Also, there are fast food places in the center too - that causes a back up depending on which entrance and exit you choose. Customer Service - eh.... it's hit and miss. The pharmacy staff can be helpful. It's depends on who is working. The girl who helps with drop off is VERY on it! Like her a lot. The pharmacists tend to be okay. If you ask to speak with them re a medication - it's very likely they will simply read the document that is printed... uh, I can do that! I want more information that only a pharmacist would know... And, one of the ladies who usually handles ringing up the sales is not discreet at all. So, if you are buying something you don't want anyone to know about... she really doesn't have a concept of privacy. You would think after all the years of her working there - she would learn. Their sales are okay. But, their regular prices on most items are a little high. It's a drugstore - not an outlet! I understand. It's helpful they offer generic (CVS brand) items on several things. And, have I mentioned they are open 24/7? read more

I had a pretty average experience here. It's a CVS. It's stocked with things that a CVS usually carries. The pharmacists politely answered all of my questions about insoles, even though they probably didn't have to. The parking lot is large, and it is easy to get to. Great selection, open 24 hours a day and right down the street from my house. I like the extra bucks system, i like getting money for nothing that I can in turn use for future shopping endeavors. The selection of alcohol is decent as well as moderately priced. The aisles are littered with some random stuff which I can sometimes get lost looking through. The two older ladies that work mostly night shifts there are a hilarious kick in the pants. They have great dry personalities backed with dry whit. I love this kind of sarcastic humor. My fella always comes here when he needs liquor and the guys at 7 11 say no. Which happens more than I like to admit, but hey it is what it is. read more
