I loved having a wonderful small pharmacy option so I hope they can get it together and go back to how they used to be. I have a few big problems with AA Pharmacy and they keep being an issue lately, unfortunately. First, they have a major issue with what they leave out spread across their counter. The last three times I was there, there were prescriptions with names of the person and names of the medicine in bags sitting right out on the same counter where you pay. Not only could I see confidential info, including about one person I knew, I also could have just taken some of the bags had I wanted to. It's so odd and they don't seem to care that confidential info is just cascading out on the same countertops where people are checking out. It seems so disorganized and careless now, which is disconcerting when I'm trusting them to manage medications for my family. Second, in the beginning, the pharmacist was always there and he was so friendly and helpful -- now there are several rude and/or inattentive people who will finish eating their sandwich before coming over to help people waiting at the register. If you have a question for a pharmacist, there often is not one there. If I ask when one will be there, they often aren't sure. I assume the prescriptions are still reviewed by a pharmacist (?!), but I have had two recent ones where they gave me the wrong amount, and both times they barely seemed to care. I'm not surprised to see all the good reviews from them are at least a year old. Sadly, the whole feeling there has changed so much and it's a huge disappointment. I've transferred away from them as of this week but I hope they improve!

Seeing as though this location is mainly frequented by U of M students, I would imagine they could estimate demand based on the academic calendar, at least. Nonetheless, everyone is always really nice here, notably helpful, and I've had great experiences at Minute Clinic. It's in a fairly crappy space on State Street near where the "unsavorable" Ann Arbor residents hang out but they manage to keep it nice and organized and clean. For juxtaposition, take a look into the Chipotle which manages to look like it should be condemned by the health agency most of the time. Also, this CVS has great deals from time to time, where it's actually cheaper for me to get snacks sometimes here than the grocery store. Haribo is almost always 2/$4. I like that it has self checkout as well which puts it a point above Walgreens. And discount candy after the holidays.

I passed by her several times while looking for an item, and she never offered any assistance. She also refused to ring customers up at the register and required everyone to use self-checkout. After I paid, I returned a key she had left in the machine, and she did not acknowledge me at all. While I was gathering my bags to leave, she rudely & aggressively stated, "We closed several minutes ago. You need to leave NOW!" I remained patient and respectful throughout the entire interaction. I began checking out at least ten minutes before closing. I understand she wanted to leave, and so did I, but if she had assisted customers and focused on her job, she likely would have been finished on time. When I picked up my meds at Meijer Pharmacy on Jackson Rd Ann Arbor, MI, the pharmacist (Betty) refused to fill the new Tadalafil order from my doctor (even tho she filled 3 other scripts) bec this pharmacist said I should still have pills from a prior Tadalafil script despite the new script order from my doctor. At a minimum, I will be filing complaint with the Mich Bureau of Pharmacy Licensing in Lansing, MI re: this insolent Meijer pharmacist ignoring my Doctor's order for new Tadalafil script and her failure to meet patient/customer needs. PS- Will also be moving my pharmacy business and retail needs to Costco as a result of this arrogant pharmacist for insisting that she has authority to practice medicine by interfering with patient needs and overriding the patient's medical needs as ordered by the patient's doctor despite her lack of a M.D.

Boring and generic compared to the old campus bookstore but very useful for pharmacy and daily essentials.
