LISTEN. I feel really silly writing another Walgreens update but I wanted to give a shout out to their curbside pick up for saving my holiday cards! I was merrily writing out my yearly correspondence, addressing them, stickering them (I get fancy!) and stamping them when I realized I was about 16 stamps short. DANGIT. I scavenged what I could, but I was still coming up short. The USPS is a hot mess right now so I neither wanted to order online (I knew they wouldn't arrive until after Christmas) nor go there in person to purchase more (my local branch is basically a mess in the best of times in December let alone during the plague). I knew I was probably going to have to run into a Kroger, UPS store, or the like to get them. I didn't want to run all around town so I looked at the USPS website to see what outlets sold stamps and saw this Walgreens on the list. "Could it be? Could they have them for curbside?" I wondered. So I opened the app and sure enough, I found them available. I ordered 3 books and a goofy Christmas card for my husband's gift (it's a pop up and it plays music!) and my order was ready in 30 minutes. Pick up was a little slower than anticipated but their parking lot was very crowded so I expected it. The woman who dropped it off at my car very kindly apologized for the delay, but it truly wasn't a problem. I was cozy and safe in my car listening to holiday tunes. They placed my prescription into another person's account. That person received refill notifications, but I didn't. When I asked them to correct it, they said they couldn't because the manager wasn't in for another several days. That's a HIPAA violation, and they refused to correct it. read more

Refused to fill my prescription because my Dr was in Grand Rapids and not Ann Arbor - go anywhere else if you can. They take days to fill something and only when I show up in person do they even process my medications. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible! The pharmacy is extremely unprofessional and rude. I waited on the hold for 20 minutes to get my prescription filled and then I finally got thru and the pharmacist hung up on me while I was in the middle of speaking. There is a CVS down the street, just go there. read more

Pharmacy only review: I had a positive experience here waiting for a rapid Covid and flu test scheduled at 9:45am on a Friday. There was no line when I got there but it took some time to register me in the computer and pay. The test was completed by 1015. I had the results (via email) by 11. By the time I left, it was much busier (4-5 ppl in line). Things are processed slower here than what I would like, and the waiting area is very blah/ bare bones/depressing, but it was easier and more affordable overall than the hour+ wait last week at urgent care. read more

Last week Friday I got on the website at Walgreens to make appointments to get 2 vaccines for me & my husband. I had to fill out a lot, dates of various other vaccines, etc. I made it for 9:40am. I went back in to fill it out for my husband, but when I came to the times, 10:10 now was the earliest time, so I took that, thinking someone else meanwhile took the other 9:40 & so on. I cancelled my 9:40, got back in filled out all the info again, & now earlier times were once again available!! Something wrong with their website. BUT what really ticked me off was we arrived 15 min early for our 10:10 appointments, & had to check in on our phones, we both had to once again fill out all the same info I had filled out on Fri on my computer, read all the info, etc!! Then a lady sitting next to me had a 9:50 appointment & it was almost 10:15! I did get to go in after her, but then after me they called in 2 other people who were walkins, & ignored my husband, who also had a 10:10 appointment!!! I went up & asked why, & the 2 people standing behind the counter said something about they were doing their best, & there was a question about someone's insurance, mine they said. So I asked again why he wasn't called right after me. Never did get any kind of a good answer. I have gotten vaccines at Walgreens in Traverse City, no problem. I will not ever come back to this A2 Walgreens for anything. read more

Prescription was moved here when Rite Aid closed and I'm happier here. Was just helped by Sam at the pharmacy who was friendly, paid attention to details, and offered to update my info so pick up would be easier. also love the curbside. just altogether easier to deal with so far! read more

awful customer service at pharmacy and from store manager! pharmacy lied to store manager saying their automated phone system was down when I already spoke to them 3 times! I explained to the store manager they were not telling the truth and he told me he didn't k ow who to believe. can someone please explain to me what the motive would be to lie about speaking to them 3 times? just trying to fill birth control for my daughter not as if it is a controlled substance! read more

Pharmacist takes a week to fill a prescription that is needed right away. Doesn't contact me with questions she has - just tells me things will be fine, then after I leave notices a problem but says nothing and waits until I come in to tell me there was a problem. This happened three separate consecutive times, although I am told that day 2 didn't count because that was a "floater pharmacist" who had no authority to fill prescriptions for me. When I went in to talk to pharmacist in person for the third day in a row about this, she told me to call instead. But when one calls, you are put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on. When I mentioned to the pharmacist that it's difficult to get through she was dismissive and said that that they manage to get calls all of the time and so I should not need to take up her time in person and should call instead. read more

They keep hanging up on me because the call rings too long. Instead of telling me "one moment," they just pick up the phone and hang it up. It's extremely unprofessional. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED HERE!!! The pharmacy is always out of stock with common meds like epipens and inhalers. Also, they close from 1:30-2:00 every day. I definitely feel the staff deserve a lunch period, but to completely close the pharmacy is very frustrating to customers. This was my THIRD time back to get my sons epipens and asthma meds because they have been out of stock for weeks only to find out they are closed from 1:30-2:00, and now we have to wait thirty minutes to get them. NEVER GETTING PRESCRIPTIONS HERE AGAIN! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I travel frequently, so I fill my scripts at multiple Walgreens across the country. I always do the pre-pay "quick pass" for ease of pick-up. Knowing would be near this location for a few hours today, before heading out of town again for several days, I submitted and paid for my script in advance, heading to the store for pick up the next day. While heading to the pharmacy in the back, I picked up a few small items. When arriving at the "wait here" sign, the pharmacy staff was speaking with a woman. I stayed in line but turned to grab a bottle of B vitamins. As I turned back around, the male and female behind the counter, start shutting the metal doors to close the pharmacy!!! I'm literally standing there, facing the windows, in line as they are doing this! No acknowledgement of my even being there until, after several times saying "hello", go to the door to the pharmacy. There the man tells me it is "Walgreens' policy to close until 2". Really? It's the corporate policy to not acknowledge customers and shutter services on people in line without notice?! Horrible. And, by the way, there is no signage saying there will be a closure mid-day. My advice? If you are getting a script filled, likely you're already not feeling well. Find another location deal with. This team has zero awareness, empathy or understanding of customer service, let alone how to manage and implement "corporate policy". read more

The Pharmacy at Walgreens on Jackson Rd is incompetent and is a staffed by incompetent employees. I schedule a vaccine appointment a week ahead of time. I received a text and email confirming my appointment and filled out the paperwork ahead of time. I never received a text, phone call, or email telling me that they had run out of the vaccine and to schedule my appointment. I drove across the county to get to the appointment only to find all of this out. They had no way to reschedule me, no documentation of any attempts to contact me, but lied that they had called "everyone" that same morning. Do not trust them! They are incompetent. In the past I have always used CVS and have never had anything like this. I decided to go back to schedule my vaccinations with them. It was a much smoother and easier process and was again this time. The employees in the pharmacy are also much more professional. read more

They have an absolutely wonderful pharmacist named Al! He gives fantastic, personal, knowledgeable and caring service from a bygone era!

Completely rude pharmacy! No help what so ever. Rude rude rude. And the store smells horrible too. Must be cause the pharmacy rudeness floats throughout the whole store. read more

I was running late to pick up a prescription. The manager, Emily, was extremely kind, empathetic and helpful and got me a very important prescription even though it was my fault that I was running late. She went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed from the store. Thank you Emily for being such a nice and understanding human being. The employees are generally quite friendly here. The store itself feels a little crowded at times, depending on the seasonal display, but there's a wide selection of cosmetics, snack foods, and OTC medications. read more

I always have a positive experience here. First, I like the craft beer selection and prices. I once bought a 6-pack of Dirty Bastard for $7.99 which is the cheapest I've seen it in town. They also have a build your own 6-pack. Every now and then, they have unique seasonal beer. Lately, the selection has been lacking though. The employees here are extremely helpful and friendly. I got passport photos here and the worker mentioned a promo code that saved me a couple bucks. Another time, the pharmacist enrolled me in a rewards program that saved me some money. The convenience of the store, great employees, and craft beer deals makes this my pharmacy of choice in Ann Arbor. read more

Pharmacy seems to be overwhelmed. They are out of prescriptions and flu shots, making customers come back to fulfill these needs. They also can't reliably tell when they will have these medicines. Plus had problems refilling a prescription via their so-called automatic refill on the phone. Therefore, went in and what should be an easy refill took over 45 minutes of waiting. Also when the prescriptions are ready, they don't page it, so you wait that much longer. Very. Very poor!!!!! read more

The wait times are outrageous. I had to wait 30 minutes in line to receive my prescription. I don't know if they are short staffed, but it wasn't like this until about 6 months ago when I started having to wait longer and longer to get my prescriptions. read more

Absolutely terrible experience! After talking with the pharmacist earlier in the day I was told my prescription would be ready in 30-40 minutes. I confirmed that I would have a friend picking it up later that day and was told that was fine. My friend went to pick it up that night and was told there was no script. She called me and I asked to talk with them which they said they couldn't talk to me on her phone and I had to call the store. I called the store and got a message that the pharmacy was closed. I called my friend back and she told me they shut the windows in her face because it was exactly 9pm. I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism and caring! Now we have to suffer for another day because their staff was lazy and wouldn't help when I KNOW the script was there. Please take your business to another pharmacy that actually cares. read more

So I'm at Store #11197, dreading another curt, invasive interaction with Cara. I walked up to an empty window only to be coldly dismissed. Another employee noticed me waiting and tried to help, and asked me to name my prescriptions. Obviously health is a private issue, and I know my prescriptions are on file. I said to fill both, and Cara was suddenly free enough to butt in and not only blurt out the brand name of prescription, but to argue with me about my privacy rights. Is this your policy? read more
