The breading on it had great flavor and it tasted like it just came out of the oven. The employee named Virginia was so helpful and very pleasant she rang up my order there at the deli so I didn't have to go to the regular checkout. She was so helpful, sweet and very kind lady. I have had chicken before at previous Meijers which wasn't so good. This chicken was amazingly delicious and tasty! Totally recommend this Meijers for Fried Chicken if you're ever in the area.

I asked him about the hair salon inside the store and why the sign said "open" if it was closed. Long story short, he gave me attitude and belittled me to the point where I asked to speak to a manager. Additionally, he wouldn't tell me his name when I asked for it. Terrible customer service and a total lack of respect for customers who help keep you employed. The second experience was with the manager -- Mary. I bought a 40 lb. bag of dog food on 6/29/25 at 2:34 PM and when I was putting it in my trunk the bottom fell out. I left the bag and food where it fell (because I wasn't sure how the store handled situations like that). Upon going to the service desk, Mary tried to guilt trip me because I didn't clean up the mess or bring the empty bag back (like it was my fault that I purchased a defective product from their store). Again, terrible customer service. Instead of saying "sorry sir, we will gladly exchange our defective product for you" it was why didn't you clean up the mess and bring the empty bag back? Mary and Mr. Mullet need to either be fired or thoroughly retrained in customer service. The other businesses in the area will gladly take my money. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store in the past and would have likely spent much more in the future if it wasn't for Mr. Mullet and Mary. Was the attitude worth losing thousands of dollars in business?

I like to go to an actual open register because I feel like I would like to give some people some job security and not go to self check out. Let me tell you what happened tonight when I went, my shopping experience was fine. I was able to find all the items that I needed. Store was clean that was great. Time to go up to the register and check out saw that the register was open, and went ahead and put my items up on the belt. When I got there, nobody was in line. There was just three employees standing in there talking to each other. I am putting my items on the belt and the gentleman starts bringing it up and continues reading it up and continues his conversation with the other coworkers. I had over $200 worth of stuff so you know it wasn't a small order. The entire time I was being rung up, he continued the conversation with the other employee. Did not acknowledge Me matter of fact when that when he was done ringing it up, didn't even tell me what my total was put my receipt in a bag didn't even hand it to me. I feel this was the most rude experience. I have had almost anywhere. You do not Continue talking to employees and ignore your customer. I did report it over to the manager customer service and she said she was going to talk to the two employees that were involved. If you work in customer service, I know it's difficult. I've done it plenty of times myself. But the number one rule is you acknowledge your customer. Acknowledge them when they walk up to. You acknowledge them when it's time to leave. I will continue going to the store, but I will think twice about using that gentleman or the lady. I'm not gonna mention names, when I go to the checkout again.

After getting Walmart+ for free(credit card offer), reviewed their pricing for medicines and found…read morethat most of what I was getting at CVS was bit cheaper (give or take few cents)... so transferred all my CVS meds to Walmart Pharmacy. Then after a week, ended up transferring them back to CVS and here's why. First, Walmart would not fulfill 90 days of some of the medicines, as the clerk stated it, they said, my insurance was limiting it to one month at a time, which was BS because at CVS, they had no problem fulfilling the 90 day supply. Second, co-pay for one of my meds was twice at Walmart than it was at CVS Third, with each visit, you got a different service. The first visit, the clerk was bit rough... I ignore it as the times we are in... second visit, different clerk was nicer and more welcoming. Additionally, the 2nd clerk was like, "I see you have a credit card linked here, did you want to charge it to the linked card?" I said yes. Third visit, got the same person as the first visit, I asked them to charge it on the credit card on file, was told, that no credit card was on file. How is this possible? Different clerk was able to charge it to the credit card on file, the other says credit card is not on file... wtf. Fourth, when I transferred the meds back to CVS, two meds were not transferred. CVS was told that those two did not have any refills left in them, when in fact the doctors office sent refills few days prior to the transfer, so I know they had refills on them. Inconsistency is the reason for the transfer back to CVS. In looking back, should have just kept it at CVS and not transferred. Lesson learned!

He was super polite too, but she was so rude. We then went on to say how rude that was because he simply asked for help finding an item that she was quite literally stocking at the time. And when we pointed out that it was rude, she said "that's his second time asking me to help him find something" to which we said that that shouldn't matter. This man was NOT asking her for anything other than help finding an item in the area he had been looking for it in. Then after we had been talking to her, another employee came up and they were obviously talking about us because they got quiet and said "let's go over there". The woman who worked at Target was lying about the whole situation and this man was really polite and non confrontational. It was really disappointing to say the least and the way the other employees were acting was so unprofessional. I know nothing will be done about this situation if I talked to a manager which is also disappointing, but still thought I'd share my encounter. The employee's name is Michelle. Very rude.

I had in incredible experience at this Sam's Club Optical Department. It began from the time I…read morecalled-to my appointment as my prescription was out of date- thru picking up my glasses. Let me explain. A very nice person by the name of Tonya found an available appointment as soon as she could fit me in,which was extremely appreciated as I had broken my glasses. I had called multiple places only to be told that their first appointment was mid September because of the back to school rush. She was very courteous, and very helpful! I wasn't necessarily expecting that my entire experience with them would go like that but indeed it did. The optical assistant Alicia did some of the pre-testing. She was very professional and we were done in a hot minute. More on Alicia coming up because she went above and beyond. Dr. Edward Nelson came out to fetch me and took me into the office. I noticed that he had a lot of medals in a frame on the wall so I asked him what they were related to and he explained that he has been an optometrist in the Air Force during the Vietnam war and then continued to assist different bases to provide Examinations and care for the enlisted in the Air Force. He was very nice, very easy to talk to and I was so impressed that during his career he flew an F-14 (I think he said)/but don't quote me as I always get my jets mixed up! Anyway that put me at ease and for some reason the way he asked the questions when you have to say what's better and what's best which I always have difficulty with I was able to answer quite quickly. I know he just use different verbiage but it made a big difference for me. I can't recommend him enough, He told me during Vietnam he was not sent into battle, but in some of his other experiences between then and now he did have to go into the battlefield to see and treat patients. I thanked him for his service to our country. I actually found one frame that met all my specifications and that I liked out of all of them. Pretty amazing I'd say. I gave the frame to Alicia and she sent me off for a few minutes as they were busy with other customers and told me to shop or whatever I chose to do for 15 to 20 minutes -and return and they would be able to sit down with me and get the measurements for my new specs. I never have trouble shopping so I did just that and picked up a couple things which I brought with me up to the optical department. During that time I realized I did not have my Sam's Club card and I was panic stricken. I had been spending days and nights with my brother at the hospital and he had died the morning of my appointment at 11:05 AM. I think I would've had a better ability to cope had I not been sleep deprived and very sad. However I did go into my Sam's shopping app and under my account information was the code that they scan when you check out so I told Alicia that I was extremely upset and didn't know up from down right then and she just calmly told me to have a seat and tell her what the problem was. She assured me that I would be able to get my glasses and anything else I needed. She said the only thing affected- I didn't have my card I couldn't charge it to my Sam's account. I had other means to pay so that was no problem. She then did exactly what she said she would. She was so sweet talking in a very calm manner and being very empathetic to my situation. She then scanned my cards and I got everything from The optical department that I needed including the fact that I would be able to return in 10 to 14 days to pick up my glasses. She also took the time to go to a different register and scan the barcode in again. I would not have to do anything but leave the store when we were done. I honestly will never forget this it was such an act of kindness and I could tell it was genuine so I really want to express my thanks to her and I hope that Sam's Club sees this review and gives her some kind of reward for being such an outstanding associate! I was actually able to pick them up on Labor Day- Tonya looked like she was working by herself since it was a holiday. She was very helpful and found my glasses then discovered that the lenses had not been put in them, so expressed surprise that I was contacted and immediately offered to go put them in the frames and get right back out to me to try them on which she did. The glasses fit perfectly I can see very well with them and that's why I had to write this up- I had a 5 star experience! This Sam's optical department is incredible so I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to return, in fact I might even return on a visit to family since it's in Ypsilanti and I live in Texas. Thanks so much to all of you that helped make that day that my brother died so much easier for me when I landed in your department!!
