Though I could only leave a voicemail when I called ahead, my order was ready when I arrived, and the pick-up process was smooth and efficient. The store was clean and well-organized, adding to the positive experience. Just awful. They have constantly getting things wrong and then blaming everyone but themselves. When altered to a mistake they make they make it clear they dont care. I saw a customer complaining how they cancelled her prescription by mistake and blamed the doctor. I heard several others in the line say that they had done the exact same thing to them. Slowest place I've ever been. Always understaffed and always have excuses on why they can't get you. Your medication's place is terrible.

As far as CVSes go, this one is pretty dang good. It's clean, well-stocked, and carries a wide inventory of items including hard liquor (!!). I particularly enjoy the seasonal aisles where you can pick up random "As Seen on TV" products. The major issues with this CVS location are somewhat limited hours (it closes at 10 p.m.) and occasional long lines caused by insufficient cashier staff at the front of the store. I typically combat the line issue in two ways: I call ahead for my prescriptions, and I use the check-out at the pharmacy when the line at the front is overwhelmingly long. Any place that lets me pick up a handle of Bacardi, a bottle of eye makeup remover, and a bag of Easter candy in one stop is all right by me. read more

I'm a bit ambivalent about putting more negativity out into the world, so please take this instead as a cautionary tale. Background: I am a professor who lives and works in Canada, but ironically enough the medication I need (I have to inject it monthly) is only available in the States. So every year (well, of course not when the borders were closed because of COVID) I faithfully trek down to Oregon to see my OB-GYN and renew my prescription. I recently relocated to Ann Arbor. I went to this CVS to purchase needles for the syringes I already have on hand. The "pharmacists" refused to sell them to me. The thing is, Michigan law doesn't require a prescription for purchase of syringes and needles, and neither does CVS. I pointed this out to them when I told them my story. So if the reasoning for denying me purchase of the needles was not based on logic or knowledge, then what was it based on? Did they not like my hairstyle? Was it my older age? My gender? I can't know the answers to these questions, but the fact that I am raising them is itself a red flag. Proceed cautiously, and if you are a middle-aged woman like me and have a choice, take your business elsewhere. I found that the pharmacists at other CVSs in Ann Arbor are professional and courteous. read more

I left CVS pharmacy years ago due to poor service. I was in a pinch, it was Sunday and I had to work that night, in the same shopping strip mall) so I decided to have my doctor call my prescription in to these people. I had a bad cat bite and it was already getting infected so I really needed my antibiotics. Shame on me for not checking the hours, they closed at 5 (not what it says on their website) and I got there at 5:03. The pharmacist was still there but he wouldn't help me. I asked him specifically what time he opened in the morning and he said 8 am. Okay so I returned at 8:00 sharp after working all night only to find out they don't open until 9 am. Why would he have told me 8 am? Oh right, I forgot, this is why I left CVS in the first place. I couldn't wait until 9 I needed to get to my other job. So I had to call a different CVS and get the prescription transferred there where it wasn't ready until 2 pm. Now I likely will need a visit to the ER for a badly infected cat bite which I was trying to avoid due to COVID. Thanks CVS! I'll never be back! read more

Unbelievable! Came here to pick up a prescription and this pharmacist Patrick told me there was no bathroom. Even after I pleaded with him and told him I was a cancer patient, he had no mercy! I ran up to the front counter to pay for my purchases and the sweet cashier girl told me there is a bathroom for emergencies like mine. She called the manager and the manager took me to the back where the secret women's room exists. The women here were angels! I hope Patrick gets a real bad case of psoriasis or hives that itch all over his body or better yet, perhaps he will get some sort of food reaction that causes him to have a nice accident in his Levi's. No mercy for a cancer patient? SHAME ON YOU PATRICK! I will be writing a letter to cvs about this and when I do, you can bet the young ladies in this store will be given an exemplary compliments. I have generally had no problems getting prescriptions refilled at CVS, and the people I have interacted with at this store have been friendly enough. But after my most recent experience, I don't trust this particular store's professional judgment and will look for an alternative: This past weekend, I dropped off a bottle to get a refill. I knew that the prescription had run out, but in the past other CVS stores had simply contacted the doctor to request permission to refill lapsed prescriptions. I expected this store to operate the same way and even cleared this with my doctor's office in advance over the phone. The weekend passes, and I hear nothing from CVS. So I show up on Monday evening expecting to have a refill. Instead, the pharmacist left a note that I needed a new prescription from the doctor. I then tell the person on duty that the doctor said he would renew it if CVS contacted his office. The person on duty said she we do so the next day. I then asked for a couple-day supply of the drug because it is not one that is safe to skip. Though other CVS stores have given me this courtesy in the past, this one refused because it did not "have the right label" for the bottle. (Apparently the "right label" was within the exclusive possession of another CVS store.) The next day I check in and learn the doctor's office is closed and so my prescription remains unfilled; CVS still cannot give me a short term refill even though I alert them to my feeling withdrawal symptoms. Finally, on day three, CVS and the doctor's office connect. The pharmacist reams the doctor's secretary (I'm told) and blames me and the doctor for the delay. Finally, CVS calls me to tell me the prescription is ready. My head swimming with withdrawal, I go to the store and get the refill. Certainly I bear some blame for letting my prescription lapse. But, I'd grown accustomed to CVS taking the initiative in these situations and securing permission to refill the prescription from the doctor---particularly when the drug is so important. Maybe this CVS missed that memo, or maybe the other CVS stores do more than the bare minimum for their customers. If you're looking for more than the bare minimum, find another store. read more
