can't say enough good things about Rashad Asoufy, Pharmacy Manager of CVS Pharmacy #8088, 2100 W. Stadium Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI. I am allergic to penicillin, which is on all my medical charts, yet a doctor in a Urgent Care Clinic gave me prescription of a penicillin based medication. Pharmacist Asoufy (Rashad) talked with me saying why I shouldn't take this medication. I wouldn't relent and against his warning, I did get the medication. I was just so sick that I felt I needed something to help me. Within an hour or so of taking just one tablet, I was throwing up and had awful "other" stomach issues. How stupid was I? I finally got ahold of my primary doctor's staff and was told to stop taking the purchased meds and a new, non-penicillin was waiting for me. When I went to pickup the new medication, I thanked Pharmacist Rashad Asoufy for trying to "save" me. With great modesty, he said that was his job. read more

As someone else stated, this pharmacy is horrible. They do treat you like crap when you need your meds filled and those meds are controlled. They treat you like an addict or abuser of the medication. They lie when they can be filled and are always rude. They have also lied about having the medication in stock because I have called multiple times and they will have it! They should not profile their patients. I know when my meds can be filled but it continues to be an ongoing battle with this location. You should be ashamed of how you make people feel over certain meds they have to take. It makes us feel like crap. And if that was your intention, your certainly one and are horrible human beings. read more

I've been using the pharmacy for the past six years or better. They staff are always warm and caring. Many of them know me and my wife by name. I've read several of the reviews in here and i wonder if it's the other reviewers fault that they are so negative. Ann Arbor people are so really offended. Grow up and be kind. Pharmacy: 5 Stars. Store: 1 Star. The pharmacists at this location are very helpful and knowledgable. They always remember me, give great advice and give service that exceeds my expectations. The woman who appears to be the manager here always seems very stressed, angry to see customers and downright pissed to be doing whatever she is doing. She makes me avoid going into the store at all costs. I tend to stick to the pharmacy drive thru. The rest of the kids working the store are great, unless she is looming over them terrorizing them. read more

I have such a weird relationship with this cvs. It's *right* *there* which makes it convenient but every time I go in I end up walking out pissed off. And while I may have accomplished whatever consumer-driven goal I may have had, I still don't like being pissed off. CVS is CVS is CVS. They all carry essentially the same stuff. They have their year round things like shampoo and all the other grooming essentials with the obligatory seasonal makeup display reflecting whatever we're being told is "in" this season, candy for whatever holiday is next, fridges with milk, OJ and then individual sized drinks to just grab and go (soda, water, etc.), a smaller number if freezers holding ice cream and ice, basic hardware and stationary supplies, gift cards. Okay, if you've been into a CVS in your lifetime you get it. This CVS is no different from any other. It's not a ghetto CVS and it's not a two story fancy pants CVS. It's just a plain old CVS. Where the breakdown starts is with the people. Which people? I'm glad you asked. There are two categories of people important to this review: the consumers and the staff. Starting with the consumers: there are none. None! If you were to go in right now you would not see anyone else. Maybe one person. Maybe me. Hiyeee! But generally speaking there is NO. ONE. HERE. It's a post-apocalyptic landscape of stocked shelves and bored staff and maybe one or two lone shoppers who missed the memo that we've been nuked. When you do see someone else there seems to be this deer in headlights look, this joint expression of, "Omigod, another human?!" And an immediate downward glance to make sure said shoppers, under the illusion that only they have ever set foot in this place, remembered to put on pants. Because honestly? You don't need to wear pants here*. Cars in the parking lot? Yes. Shoppers? No. And, to avoid accusations that I only come at strange times, I often come before going to the office (anywhere from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on weekdays, any time during the weekend, on my way home from the office (anywhere from 2 p.m. To 10 p.m.). There's never more than one other person. In addition to the consumers there's the staff. A miserable lot (the two smiling ones are now gone) of mismatched folk who clearly hate their job. They are slow. Ad n the rare occasion there are two people on line at the same time, they are even slower. I can't understand how they can possibly be so slow. Maybe they don't get enough practice? They are also not helpful in the aisles and often focus more on re-stocking shelves (not that there's much of a need) than answering questions. Sadly, what they are willing to focus on is making your transaction as difficult as possible. Especially the guy who works there. Good grief. He once wouldn't let me buy gift cards because my credit card had my maiden name**. I showed him several pieces of photo id confirming that I am who I am and as long as it doesn't say "Popeye The Sailor Man" on said id we should be okay. Right? Wong. I dunno, it's just a weird place and every time I walk in I envision a scene from the 80's video game "Wasteland"***. But it is convenient and so I will continue to stop in for a vitamin water on the way to work and a card on the way to a party. I am deeply disappointed with the complete lack of help and support from the pharmacy at the CVS on Jackson Rd in Ann Arbor. When they stated that they didn't take our insurance, instead of offering to help, the person walked away after saying they could transfer the prescription elsewhere. Other pharmacies do far more to help and certainly try hard to relate personally with people. I don't advise anyone go here to fill prescriptions. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for years and have problems almost every other month. The only reason I continue to go is because insurance requires a prior authorization for my prescription and it seems like it is a big debacle trying to get the doctors and a pharmacist on the same page. I will be frank... they profile patients on Narcotic medications. They have lied about prior authorizations being in, medications not being in stock, and when medications can be filled. I am a veteran who was a Non-commissioned Officer in the United States Army, who served two tours in Afghanistan and I am being profiled for being on a medication used for addiction to treat my pain from a service connected disability!!! Its truly sad and I shouldn't feel like a piece of crap when I go to get my prescriptions filled. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Cashier today was so rude and made me uncomfortable after she didn't even respond to me saying hello.

Cold hearted! I have a painful injury and have been in recovery for over 7 months. I ran out of the over the counter meds I needed on a Sunday. Driving and walking are quite painful. I called the pharmacy and explained that I was out, in pain and had no one who could pick up for me until tomorrow. I asked if I could manage to drive there could I buy them through the pharmacy window because I would not be able to drive and then walk. Literally one bottle of med. She checked with supervisor and they said no. What jerks. Will NEVER shop or fill a prescription again from them in my life. And while in pain today will think of them often. Mean people who care not about your wellbeing. read more

I've been using this CVS pretty much since they opened. As I, and my ancient mother, have grown old and rickety and in need of more health-related gear, perscriptions, over-the-counter meds, and advice, I am deeply confident in the people at this CVS. The pharmacy staff is incredibly responsive, hard working, and, though not a requirement, friendly. I have never had a single problem or miscommunication with them; they are extremely professional and I would handily recommend this pharmacy over any of the others in the area. read more

Cannot recommend this pharmacy if you need to know when a prescription will be in. Rude customer service. I dropped off a prescription at the drive in window last Tuesday. I asked the clerk when it would be in as I was going out of town. He told me they did not have any in stock and would have to order. I asked him when it would be in. He said he couldn't tell me because it depended on when the order would be placed. I asked him when that would be and he said he couldn't tell me; that it was up to the pharmacist. I asked him to please ask the pharmacist and he said he couldn't. To quote "It will be in when it is in". I just called (6 days later) and the pharmacist said the order was never put in. Could not tell me why. So now I have to wait several more days and I am leaving in 2 days for a vacation. Blahhh! read more

This Cvs and the people there are awesome. They are so friendly and helpful every time we go in there. I have shopped at CVS for years and this CVS is one of the cleanest that I've ever seen and by far the nicest. 5 stars guys, keep up the good work. read more
