    Liquor sold at this store!

I LIKE HER, THIS COSTCO HAS LIQOUR! My hometown Costco in Georgia doesn't have liquor. I assume it's a state regulation thing. I was blown away with the selection of booze at this Costco! The house Kirkland brand is value priced and highly respected in reviews. VODKA - picked-up a huge 1.75 liter bottle for only $12 COGNAC - I love Cognac. I didn't pick any up but they have a high-end XO rated French Cognac from the Kirkland brand priced in the high $60s. I have too much to carry home. Can't comment on the flavor.

Busy inside, as expected. The exit and entrance are opposite to what I am used to all of the stores by me. So many people. So many interesting items that appeal to me. I paid $47 for prepared king crab leg and they have 2 pounds for $54+ here. The claws are almost as big as my hand. Picked up some multivitamins, AA batteries and some pineapples too. Spring is coming, patio furniture and BBQs for sale. Cinnamon rolls and dried mushrooms, things I can't eat since it's sugar and gluten among other things.

This is one stop shopping with lots of selection in every department. Reasonably priced and there is nothing bad about Costco. The store is well organized and easy to navigate. The cheap gas and affordable eyewear is definitely worth the membership. If you get any auto works done here, they fill up ur tires for free. Also pharmacy is cheaper than any other chains. I was impressed with the desserts quality. The baked goods are amazing especially the cakes. One of the best Tres Leches I have ever tasted. And we love their Tiramisu. They have a food court area with quick service and good choices. They always have long check out lines. Wish they had self checkout lanes like Sams. During this pandemic, there were visible cart cleaning going on. Masks are required and they were limiting 2 people per membership.

Ann Arbor, you don't know how lucky you are! The average Costco shopping experience in California, regardless of the location, is an exercise in patience and stress management. If it's not the crowded parking lot, then it's the elbow to elbow maneuvers inside and seemingly interminable lines to check out. Here's a hint, four people in front of you isn't a long line. Imagine our surprise pulling up to get mass quantities for a family party Friday afternoon, the day before a home game. You mean there's actually 100 choices for a parking spot? No winding line at the food court? Relatively unpopulated with shoppers inside? Surely this must be some wickedly teasing parallel universe? Then I saw the whole dressed lambs hanging in the frozen section and it brought me back to reality, a pleasant one that day. Best shopping experience I've ever had at a Costco! While it's true they stock by demographics, and some things are regionally specific, the lower sales tax in Michigan means that you walk away with greater value. The standard burger patties are large and yielded compliments and interest the next day at the party. I gave them a special touch of spice but otherwise their quality to cost ratio is undisputed. Ergo the buns and pitas used for a kabob meal that evening. The produce and party supplies also meant we left with more green in the wallet than usual. The line to pay was nonexistent, I had to check again, absolutely incredible. If I could stand the freezing cold winters and gray skies I'd consider moving back. Until next visit, we'll endure the masses in every Costco I know of in SoCal.

I had in incredible experience at this Sam's Club Optical Department. It began from the time I…read morecalled-to my appointment as my prescription was out of date- thru picking up my glasses. Let me explain. A very nice person by the name of Tonya found an available appointment as soon as she could fit me in,which was extremely appreciated as I had broken my glasses. I had called multiple places only to be told that their first appointment was mid September because of the back to school rush. She was very courteous, and very helpful! I wasn't necessarily expecting that my entire experience with them would go like that but indeed it did. The optical assistant Alicia did some of the pre-testing. She was very professional and we were done in a hot minute. More on Alicia coming up because she went above and beyond. Dr. Edward Nelson came out to fetch me and took me into the office. I noticed that he had a lot of medals in a frame on the wall so I asked him what they were related to and he explained that he has been an optometrist in the Air Force during the Vietnam war and then continued to assist different bases to provide Examinations and care for the enlisted in the Air Force. He was very nice, very easy to talk to and I was so impressed that during his career he flew an F-14 (I think he said)/but don't quote me as I always get my jets mixed up! Anyway that put me at ease and for some reason the way he asked the questions when you have to say what's better and what's best which I always have difficulty with I was able to answer quite quickly. I know he just use different verbiage but it made a big difference for me. I can't recommend him enough, He told me during Vietnam he was not sent into battle, but in some of his other experiences between then and now he did have to go into the battlefield to see and treat patients. I thanked him for his service to our country. I actually found one frame that met all my specifications and that I liked out of all of them. Pretty amazing I'd say. I gave the frame to Alicia and she sent me off for a few minutes as they were busy with other customers and told me to shop or whatever I chose to do for 15 to 20 minutes -and return and they would be able to sit down with me and get the measurements for my new specs. I never have trouble shopping so I did just that and picked up a couple things which I brought with me up to the optical department. During that time I realized I did not have my Sam's Club card and I was panic stricken. I had been spending days and nights with my brother at the hospital and he had died the morning of my appointment at 11:05 AM. I think I would've had a better ability to cope had I not been sleep deprived and very sad. However I did go into my Sam's shopping app and under my account information was the code that they scan when you check out so I told Alicia that I was extremely upset and didn't know up from down right then and she just calmly told me to have a seat and tell her what the problem was. She assured me that I would be able to get my glasses and anything else I needed. She said the only thing affected- I didn't have my card I couldn't charge it to my Sam's account. I had other means to pay so that was no problem. She then did exactly what she said she would. She was so sweet talking in a very calm manner and being very empathetic to my situation. She then scanned my cards and I got everything from The optical department that I needed including the fact that I would be able to return in 10 to 14 days to pick up my glasses. She also took the time to go to a different register and scan the barcode in again. I would not have to do anything but leave the store when we were done. I honestly will never forget this it was such an act of kindness and I could tell it was genuine so I really want to express my thanks to her and I hope that Sam's Club sees this review and gives her some kind of reward for being such an outstanding associate! I was actually able to pick them up on Labor Day- Tonya looked like she was working by herself since it was a holiday. She was very helpful and found my glasses then discovered that the lenses had not been put in them, so expressed surprise that I was contacted and immediately offered to go put them in the frames and get right back out to me to try them on which she did. The glasses fit perfectly I can see very well with them and that's why I had to write this up- I had a 5 star experience! This Sam's optical department is incredible so I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to return, in fact I might even return on a visit to family since it's in Ypsilanti and I live in Texas. Thanks so much to all of you that helped make that day that my brother died so much easier for me when I landed in your department!!
