Recently I went down there to return an item -- big mistake. I should have paid the $8 to mail it back. Instead I waited for half an hour in line. There were two women at the customer service desk: a black woman and her manager, a blue-haired Mama June type, fresh out of the trailer park. Blue-hair was talking to a blonde woman she was apparently developing a serious crush on. They talked and talked and talked, recapping and repeating themselves, even though their transaction was over and customers were waiting to be serviced. Finally blondie walked away and I was next -- WRONG! Blue-hair decided now was the perfect time to take a break, so she waddled slowly away leaving only the black woman working the desk. After a long wait, the black woman finally finished with her soul sister and was very surly with me. She ordered me to "remove the items from the bag." Apparently her arms and hands were broken, she couldn't take the two SMALL items out of the OPEN shipping bag...so I took them out for her. She then proceeded to ask why I was returning the items. Irritated by my needlessly long wait and her foul attitude, I was not in the mood to repeat answers I already gave when I processed the return online. So I replied "I already answered those questions when I did the return online." No pleasantries, no apologies for the long wait and definitely no customer service skills from either of these two. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. Do your business online through the JCP website and have your items shipped back and forth. It's worth the extra cost!!!

So many clearance items that we never got in the Toledo area. There was one large checkout with about 8 cashiers dining up purchases. I hope they keep this store open.

For the first time ever we tried the Tire Center at Costco. Purchased 2 new tires almost 3 weeks…read moreago & scheduled for installation (as required). Were told tires would arrive "in a few days". After I didn't hear back, I called. Tires were still not in. A few days later they called to say tires had arrived. (3 weeks later) Dropped car at 3:30pm was told they would finish 1 hour to 1hour & 15 minutes. An hour later I received a call to say they'd just pulled car in. Were told in addition to the 2 front worn tires that both rear tires were "damaged" - one with a nail and the other with a tear in side wall. I know it sounds crazy, but an automotive place had just serviced the car as well, I glanced at but never saw this damage prior to dropping off the car. Also felt like this was quite a coincidence that the 2 "best" tires with tread were now "damaged" and also needed to be replaced. No accusation here just suspicion. Costco suggested we buy all 4 new tires at ticket price of about $170 each. (For a 2009 Honda accord so not the biggest tire) The situation felt off/odd - so I phoned my partner. My partner Recommended we keep to original plan and have them replace the two (rear) damaged tires now in place of the 2 (front) worn tires. We asked if they would place the 2 new tires on front while replacing the damaged since vehicle is front wheel drive; they said "no" they couldn't do that because.....? 2 different people told me 2 different reasons why they could not do this. Two hours later I retrieve the car but also voiced my concern about longer than anticipated wait time, the apparent attempt to upsell us, & discrepancy regarding why. I have mixed feelings because Costco reportedly is maintaining its DEI policy (vs many other retailers who backed down) But I couldn't help wonder whether I would have experienced same treatment had I : 1)been a man 2) been not a Black or BIPOC person 3) been a white male. I appreciate that the tire center manager was nice and tried to assure me of honest best practice. The customer service manager, though, had a much less concerned and more nonchalant attitude. This is a huge Salvation Army store! Clothes are organized by color and the shoe selection is a…read morehidden gem. The "brick and brack" or Home Goods as other places call it is a bit on the higher priced side and there are many items not priced (which is understandable with that size of store, just difficult when hunting for items). If you're looking for clothes -- they've got them! I adore coming to this Salvation Army, but I don't bring my older friends because the lighting is so dim and I find it difficult to see clearly and often you'll walk out with a pair of shoes or dress that's a shade or two different than what you thought it was inside!

I stopped here, looking to see if I could find any skinny jeans for the mannequins at our store, but I couldn't find anything under a size 8 and on clearance. The cool part is that much of the signage in the store is in English as as well as in Spanish. That's cool!

I'm curvier on the bottom so typically jeans either fit me in the waist or thighs but rarely both. Or something seems to fit in store only to stretch out too much after a few wears and washes. Madewell jeans are perfect for me though! I buy their Curvy line, which fits me in the thigh AND waist without gapping, and now I just don't even bother trying to figure out my sizes/fit for other brands. They have some good sales and programs. End of season sales can find jeans like half off. There are student and healthcare worker discounts. If you bring in an old pair of jeans to recycle (and they don't even have to be Madewell), you get $20 off a new pair. But I've also purchased full price because they're just that good! The fit in both full length jeans and shorts work well for me. They also have a tailoring service if something doesn't fit perfectly, which I think is free for most pant purchases? So if you are curvier on the bottom and struggle with finding jeans that fit, I definitely recommend trying out Madewell! Aside from jeans... Nice, higher quality clothing, leaning more on the basic/classic end in style, cuts, and color. Also love Madewell shirts and dresses. Accessories (scarves, jewelry etc) are cute too. The only thing I don't like about this location is the parking lot. Though I can usually find a spot even when it's busy, I'm always nervous about getting into an accident because of how tight the parking is. I recommend going during the week or off-hours for the best parking experience.

One woman was helping me however the other associate overheard what I was looking for and knew there was a new arrival in the back that would fit exactly what I was looking for. There wasn't a watching wallet but I found one that worked just as well. It was a heavy price tag but it was what I expected for this trip. I was out in 45 mins. The longest part was the complimentary monogramming of the tag. Love my new bag and definitely be back for more pieces after such great customer service.
